The Cessi is a small, domesticated feline mammal that ranges in size from 1.5 to 3.5 lb (0.68–1.6 kg). It has a body length of between 24–41 cm (9–16 in), and is around 20.3 cm (8 in) tall. It mainly eats insects, small mammals, eggs, and small birds. They are well-furred, with large, alert eyes disproportionately large for their skull, and ears that move with their expressions. Due to their large ears, its hearing is sensitive enough to hear prey moving underground. Cessi pelts come in an enormously wide variety of colours and textures.

Cessi are digitigrade, and move with swift, fluid movements. Unlike most mammals, Cessi walk by moving both legs on one side and then both legs on the other. Most mammals move legs on alternate sides in sequence.

Communication

Cessi use a variety of vocalizations and types of body language for communication, including mewing ("meow" or "miaow"), purring, hissing, growling, and, most commonly, squeaking.

Reproduction

Cessi are social animals that mate for life, with each pair or family controlling their own territory. Sexual maturity is reached at around nine months old. The Cessi usually breeds only once per year. Gestation is usually between 50 to 52 days. The typical size of a Cessi litter is between one and four kits. The average lifespan of a Cessi in captivity is fifteen years.

Habitat

Wild Cessi originate from the grasslands near the Machina Ruins in Boreios Sudesha. It is there that they live in medium sized colonies in tunnels that they have dug in the ground. Cessi may be bought from various breeders in Ajita and Bhim.

As Pets

The Cessi is bred commercially as an exotic house pet. Breeders tend to remove the young kits from the mother to hand-rear, as owners prefer tamer and more handleable pets, thereby making them more expensive
