Some basic style guidelines to follow when editing or creating new pages in order to keep the wiki consistent.
Contents
Capitalization
All race, flora, and fauna names are not considered to be common nouns and should be capitalized. Eg. Pendragon, Lukuo, Kurre.
Units of Measurement
All units of measurement should be provided using the Metric system, and may optionally have an Imperial equivalent in round brackets. Eg. 2 m (6.56 ft)
Earth Similies
Please try not to reference Earth (Terran) events or Humans when contributing to the wiki. Earth does not exist in our game, so trying to make comparisons like this would baffle the average Ramathian. You should try to avoid writing descriptors such as:
- "similar to an Earth crocodile"
- "fox-like"
- "like Harry Potter"
- etc.
Accepted Abbreviations
- The proper abbreviation of Pendragon is 'dragon (with the leading apostrophe).
- The proper abbreviation of Feydragon is Fey.
Uploaded Images
Images uploaded for Flora, Fauna, etc., should be in PNG format.
Spelling
A quick spellcheck before saving your edit is greatly appreciated. If you don't have a spellcheck add-on in your browser, preview the article first and read it through to check for any mistakes.
British/Canadian or American Spelling?
Either spelling is 'correct', so do not unnecessarily edit articles in order to change the spelling. However, as Shadowlack is based out of Canada, the default spelling is Canadian English.
