The sarrakko resembles, in size and appearance, the velociraptor of prehistoric Earth. They are, surprisingly, the size of a small dog. They are generally brown, almost tan, but grey or green ones are not uncommon. This species is easily recognized by their bipedal reptilian appearance, seemingly humanoid, clawed hands, and large, sickle-like toe claw on each foot. Sarrakkoes are among the most dangerous of predators, as they are intelligent and built to be swift killers.

These creatures hunt and live in packs, usually of up to fifteen. It's nearly impossible to tame an adult sarrakko, but if you raise one from the egg (which is very difficult to obtain as parents are extremely protective of their eggs and young), you'll have a strong, loyal ally. They live almost anywhere, but generally they leave pendragons alone - only in the harshest climates will there be a good chance of being attacked by a pack of them. Even so, wherever you go, be on your guard at night!

The sarrakko bears a resemblance to the raptors of prehistoric Earth, and is roughly the size of a typical Earthen dog. It is bipedal; its front limbs have clawed hands, and its powerful legs have large claws. Unlike Earth's raptors, the sarrakko is covered in scales. It's typically a shade of brown with darker stripes, though grey or green ones are not uncommon.

A fast, agile and intelligent hunter, it lives in small groups. Each pack is led by an "alpha" pair, which are usually the parents of the other pack members. Should one or both of the alphas be killed and replaced, the offspring may be killed or driven off, though the new leader(s) may simply take over the existing members. A female lays a clutch of up to five eggs, but only two usually survive to adulthood in the wild.

Taming the sarrakko is tricky, but it is possible. The best way to do so is to raise one from the egg, or from when they are young - though given how protective the parents are, acquiring one from the wild is ill-advised. (A small number of captive stocks are available. Rather tellingly, most of these are in Bhim.)
