Metachrosis (changing colour at will) is a natural phenomenon which can be witnessed in certain animals.
Magimetachrosis is a medical condition which causes the skin of the afflicted to continually change colour. It is a mild magia morbus, or magical disease, and while it is curable, its effects are usually temporary.
