She watched him a moment. "Do you dislike others, no matter what they are?" he had seemed uncomfrotable around her, and he had lived in the desert so long he had practicly adapted. Did he harbor a hatred for others? Was there something else that drove him away?
He chuckled slightly "A hatred? No. I just simply do not trust." he told her simply and easily. ((argh! with the writer's block again!!))
Sounded near the same to her. "Cannot your own distrust lead to suspicion and hate? Or are you afraid of yourself to rely on more than just starngers for support?" She was prodding something that could make him explode, but she was curious, if slight infuriated. How could he harbor so much in himslef to have no trust in others? Was it not himself that was driving him away, besdies 'they'? Could they not very well be a figmant of his imagination divised of his secludion? She gave a little snrot of unhumorous laughter. I crazy man living in the desert to survive. A hermet. (x.x I think I just made her smarter)
He glared slightly at her. "My distrust does lead me to suspicion but never to undue hate." he glared at her head on. He snorted at her other comment. "Fear is an unknown word to me. I had to give up fearing for almost all things during my imprisonment and escape." he knew he had said 'almost all' but he didn't care and he hoped this woman would not question what he was afraid of.
She sighed softly and shook her head sadly. "No one truly does forget fear. But all the same, I shall stop prying you. I have done more than enough invading in your own personal space and mind." Anakariea considered leaving, but she liked the company. She stayed silent, wondering what topic they would move to next.
He nodded when she said she had pryed to much and turned his face away from her. After a long silence, he turned back to her and asked "And yourself?" was all he said
"Myself? Anything in particular you would like to hear? I must say, I don't have very many interesting stories to tell. Being a street performer doesn't give that much." She muttered dryly. Anakariea lay down on the sand and straed up at the sky, trying to get comfrotable.
He chuckled slightly "I want to hear almost as much about you, as you heard about me." he stated quite calmly and seriously.
She laughed briefly. "Where to begin?" she said rolling her eyes. "I left my parents when I could. I really just roved around for a while. Heading to different places, learning to prefect by performances. I concedered joining a toupe, but I like going solo." she wondered if ths was good enough for him. She may have gone to many palces, but she was young, and hadn't done many things that could be concedered fascinating or adverturous. "I write short novels when I can, or when I'm inspired to. I mainly come up with things on the spot, I normally do comedy... Performing is basicly how I've lived out my life. I like to do it though, very much. My parents never laughed at my jokes, so I suppose I never really thought I was that good when I was younger. I do tumble acts occaisonally in the big cities, or puppet shows when I can get ahold of them. All the same, I usually shout out the story and hope a crowd gathers." She looked over at him. "Anything specific you want to hear?"
He shook his head and looked at the ground. Usually, any mention of parents almost crippled him. "Nope, that's about all I wanted to know. You seem to have a good, stable life" he said raising his head and smiling a bit. His smile seemed forced, and sad. A few tears threatened to spill from his eyes and down his face.
She wathced him. "Stable? No, not really. Just plain enough that you think I planned it." Anakariea decided to give him a moment and looked away, ignoring him so he could have some time to himself. Something was definately on his mind about what she said, but, she wouldn't prod.
((Sorry it took me so long to post. Damn addicting video games)) Drsuj nodded slightly, almost not hearing what she said. His eyes stared off into the distance and he sighed slightly. ((and on top of that, I have severe writer's block!))
ah yes.. video games.. I at the moment am drawn into the reading of a ten bookd series x.x I'm almost done with the second..) Anakaria watched him; wondering if she could risk a questoin. But no, she wouldn't do that to the poor fellow. He obviously missed a lot. Or had nothing to begin with. But in her opinon; he had lost something. No one acted like this unless they lost something. If the started with nothing; they had a cheap shell around them. he had a shell; but he had defences.
((ahh, yes. I've finally completed the 19 boom Dragonriders of Pern series but then Anne McCafferey's son began to write them again. I'll never be finished with them. ^_^ T.T)) His eyes flicked to her and stared at her for quite a while before he spoke up. "What are you thinking about?" he asked her, taking a step closer.
MUHAHAHA Quirk is my word! *hiss*) A little smile quirked onto her face. "A lot of things. Without a defined subject... my thoughts seemed to wander." Her voice had a bland; slightly musing tone. Anakariea's eyes flickered from his head to his feet before looking off into the distance.
Drsuj nodded. He put his head down on his feet, almost like a dog and looked up at her. "That must be nice, not being able to focus on one thing for too long." he said and sighed, his breath stirring up a small cloud of dust that seemed to dance at his feet.
Anakariea snorted with distatse; but the action was enough to move her upper body. She gave him a side long glance; not searching at all. "It has its great restrictions." she shifted; she was not uncomfrotable. She seemed rather annoyed if anything. "Not keeping your mind on something.. it has a certain way of bitting at you. Making it seem you have nothing in your life to think about. Think about long enough to have any meaning anyway..." she stared contemptiously at the sand.
It was beggining to get a bit hot out for Drsuj and that could be seen by the fact that his tongue lolled out of his mouth as he began to pant. He rolled over onto his back, his paws sticking up in the air as he rolled aound, trying to get cooling sand into his pelt. He appereared to look like the same way a happy dog would look. While on his back, he grunted happily a bit. Stopping his rolling about, but still on his back, his legs paused in mid-air, he looked at her. "Says you. I would rather not be able to concentrate on one thing for too long." he told her, his tongue still hangging from his mouth.
She frowned thoughtfully; staring ahead of her. The heat was devastating; and even though it twinged at her skin she didn't really mind. Whatever had been going through her parents mind she had been hatched here. It affected her just as much as it did he; but she had her mind elsewhere; and having nearly been raised here... Needless to say she did not need to loll about; even having been gone for so long. She kept her thoughts refering to his comment closed to all except herself. Though she tried to forget them. Seclude them at least.
He wiggled about on his back, his tongue retreating into his mouth as he grunted and sighed happily. He was slowly moving foreward, though he didn't realize it. Eventually, he bumped into her leg, and he looked up at her. Even though it had been a few years since he had gotten out, he could be kept happy with just mulitple pets and scratches as he was between his truely tribal time and becoming civilized time.
