Matt slept but it was wracked with dreams, images of the moon filtered though his mind. The moon destroying his life, every so often his dream would twist into his past of killing yet near the end it was just a red moon. Matt awoke every suddenly, his sensitive hearing picking out the minute sounds around him. A sizzle of a pan, the shuffling of feet and his own breathing. Dread began filling his mind, he hadnÂ’t meant sleep and on fact he had planned on sneaking out before she woke. Now he would have to face another day instead of just running away from the pain. He curled up into a ball clinging to the covers but it didnÂ’t feel as safe without Jade. Slowly he got up and threw some clothes on, a pain of black jogging pants and some red t-shirt. He walked half dead into the bath room and splashed water on his face while he stared at his own pitiful reflection in the mirror. He watched painstakingly while the water left trails of damp fur in lines over his face, he ruffled it up to its normal state and used his hand to comb his mane. Perfectly messy. He wandered in the kitchen and froze, he had absolutely no idea how to great her, how would she react. Would she wriggle away or join the embrace. He just stood their like a lemon instead, doing nothing but look uncomfortable.
Jade heard a familiar ding of the toaster and turned around to get it, she caught Matt out of the corner of her eye and jumped. "<span style='color:green'>Oh hey, you're up! I just wanted to get you some breakfast."</span> She smiled at him, she would have gone and given him a hug if it wasn't for her eggs burning behind her. She quickly leaned in to give him a peck on the cheek before attending to the eggs. <span style='color:green'>"Go sit down, we'll eat in a few minutes." </span>She smiled at him. She made two plates for each of them, two pieces of toast and some (not burnt) bacon. She brought both of the plates over to the couch, giving one to him and then taking one for herself. She sat crossed legged against the armrest, the plate situated on her lap while she sat. She put some bacon and an egg on her toast and started to eat it like a sandwich. That was the best way to eat eggs. After taking a few bites she finally spoke. <span style='color:green'>"So are you feeling any better this morning?"</span> She decided she would tell him of her secret once they had finished eating.
Matt smiled at her when she kissed him on the cheek, the soft touch of her lips seemed to dispel very ill thought he had. He tried to examine her facial expressions and movements yet he could see anything out of the ordinary. He supposed they would probably pretend yesterday never happened, he didnÂ’t like the idea to much but it if made her happy he would be too. So he just shuffled along towards the table and sat down with his breakfast, he was normally quite comatose in the morning so he knew she wasnÂ’t expecting much talk. "Mm bacon" Was all he could manage to say. He ticked into he food while he tried to think. After he finished his meal it dawned on him that she had actually asked a question. He struggled to get his mind to work "No thanks IÂ’m fine for a drink." He said nicely just before he gave out a big yawn. "So how are you feeling then" He asked some what pensively, forcing his mind to be a bit more receptive.
Jade smiled as she picked away at her own food, mostly just moving the egg around and eating the odd piece of bacon. Most of it had fallen from her sandwich already. <span style='color:green'>"Oh.. I didn't sleep too bad. Would have liked to have slept longer, but ah well." </span>She had a tendency of whenever she left her actual bed, she couldn't go back to sleep after. This was the same case for today. Eventually getting bored with shifting the food around, she moved the plate off to the side. <span style='color:green'>"Anyways.. The sleep itself wasn't too bad." </span>A hand moved up to scratch the back of her head. How was she supposed to bring this up? She pushed away slightly, afraid of what he might think.<span style='color:green'> "Erm.. Matt.. I uh.. I uh didn't tell you everything last night."</span> A sigh slipped past her lips, at least words were coming out. She tried to say a few more phrases but nothing came out. Instead she picked up her plate and brought it to the kitchen sink. The plate rattled against the ones already leftover in the basin. She slowly walked back to the table and sat back down. Her hands kept fidgeting in her lap and her legs constantly shaking. <span style='color:green'>"Erm.. Aren't you curious why I didn't act all upset that you killed some one last night?"</span> She might as well break the ice now, no point sugar coating it all.
Matt locked at her oddly, tilting his head to one like some curious wolf. He wasnÂ’t quite sure where this was going but he wasnÂ’t sure he liked it, for a minute he thought it was about him then it began to click in. He wasnÂ’t normally capable of serious conversation this early in the morning yet the seriousness of her tone and the bluntness of her words woke him up. He looked at her still, the clearly visible effects of uncomfortable ness were even making her shake. He tried not look to concerned yet he reached across the table and took her hands into his. Gently rubbing his thumbs over her soft skin, trying to make whatever she had to say easier. "Erm Yeah I did wonder a bit, but like I didnÂ’t want to pry and stuff. I still wasnÂ’t sure how you were coping with things." he said still in a bemused yet sad tone, he was trying desperately not to steer the conversation back to him yet he had the nastiest feeling he knew were this was going to lead. Still it didnÂ’t make to much sense so he just held her hands that extra bit tighter.
Jade was somewhat relieved as he took her hands in his. The extra warmth was comforting, but she still continued to shake her leg. <span style='color:green'>"Okay well.. I don't know exactly how I'm supposed to put this.."</span> She pulled away from him, afraid of what he was going to say. <span style='color:green'>"When I was younger I killed a 'dragon. It was out of necessity but I still feel terrible about it."</span> The words came out all tied together and jumbled up. Maybe if he misunderstood she would be better off.. <span style='color:green'>"I'm really really really sorry I didn't tell you last night. Well actually, I'm sorry I never told you before now. I really want to be able to tell you everything. I feel like I can trust you.." </span>She ended it like that. Normally she would have continued to talk, but she had a bad habit of not knowing when to insert her foot in her mouth and shut up. She kept thinking of that fateful day, how monotone her feelings were. They were masked in the need to survive or face the consequences of rejection. She was starting to realize she should have admitted to what she had done. At the same time though, she didn't have much time to think much through. Her relationship with her family was on the line.
Matt sighed when he heard her words, he couldnÂ’t imagine how she must feel. When he had killed he hadnÂ’t been him, his other weredragon half did it and he didnÂ’t even remember. Yet she had been up close and personal and killed for survival, he couldnÂ’t imagine how that burden would bore down on her soft, kind spirit. He took a guess though that she might feel better if she told someone, he would be their for her no matter what. His stood up and covered thsi distance between them in a heart beat, in another one he was down on one knee and hugging her tight resting his cheek on hers while he comforted her. He softly began to whisper into her ear. "Its k babe, I love you and personally he probably deserved it anyway. Although that dont make it easier for you, if you ever feel you need a shoulder to cry on you will always have mine." He said quietly as he savoured the warmth of her body keeping him warm and safe from the cold morning. He nuzzled into her fur slightly as new thoughts pondered into his mind. "But donÂ’t cry, you too beautiful to cry." he added in his hushed whisper. To him see was his other half and he would gladly suffer a an eternity of torture just to see a smile on her face.
Jade was comforted by his words, yet she felt too comfortable to believe it. He didn't even ask her why or how she did it, but maybe that was just because he loved her so much it didn't matter. Now that was something that soothed her anxieties. Bringing herself from her thoughts, she looked at Matt and tried not to cry. She felt her eyes well up with tears so she quickly returned the embrace, hugging him tightly and not letting go. She nuzzled her face into his chest, basking in the warmth emanating from Matt's body. She inhaled deeply before turning her head towards his face. <span style='color:green'>"I love you too Matt." </span>At that note she leaned in gently, pressing her lips against his in a kiss. She pulled away for only a moment to look into his eyes and move back in again. This time she kissed him a little more passionately. Her thoughts fluttered back to her childhood, but for once she had the strength to push them away. It was as if her troubles and reservations were lifted when she finally had the courage to get over her past and errors. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td> =D</td></tr></table>
Matt purred lightly as there lips met together and the soft touch of her body near his, his hand tilted her chin lightly to allow them to kiss ever so slightly deeper. As much as he was enjoying it though he slowly broke the kiss and smiled into her eyes. He didnÂ’t want to totally change the subject with a kiss, it was something they needed to work though. "And just so you know, no matter you past I will love you always and donÂ’t feel like anything can get between us." He said as he held her hand affectionately, softly rubbing his warmth into it. He bought up her hand and kisses it gently, he still felt guilty about his feeling early and how he though they would break up over this. So instead of sulking over how dense he could be, he slowly stood up still holding her hand and went to fix himself and her a drink. Although he had softly let go of her hand as he moved back. "You want a drink babe" he asked pleasantly.
Jade smiled despite the fact that she wanted to continue. Her facial expression drooped considerably once she began to think about why Matt pulled away. She was afraid that he would ask some more questions and she would have to explain, she didn't mind doing that, it just wasn't that comfortable to talk about it. As she heard the words Matt spoke, she regained her composure; it wasn't at all what she thought. She was about to reply when he moved away, she answered his question before moving on to her reply. <span style='color:green'>"Yeah sure. Whatever you're making babe."</span> Switching back to the previous conversation, she replied to his earlier statement. <span style='color:green'>"That's good to know Matt, But just so you know, it goes the same for you too. Even with your..."</span> She paused, she didn't know what to call it. <span style='color:green'>"With what I learned last night, I'm not going to treat you any differently."</span> It sounded just a bit awkward but she didn't know how else to rephrase it.
Matt somewhat flinched when she paused with what to call it, he didnÂ’t always know but it made him very uncomfortable when anyone else struggled as well. He was going to suggest she just call him a weredragon but not everyone could manage that so he just made the drinks. Carefully pouring the tropical juice into two glasses and carefully carrying them out to her. He placed them very slowly onto he table trying not to spill them before sitting down. "Yeah my condition can be a bit of a bummer, IÂ’m trying to make some kind of shackles so i cant escape but so far i break out them every time." He said somewhat calmly yet with a slightly warble to his voice. He didnÂ’t like anything when it came to him killing people yet in truth he had killed so many it drove him mad. Trying to keep his composure he gently took her hand back into his and massaged it gently with his fingers and thumb, softly running it over her smooth fur. Her touch gave him so much strength.
Jade felt really bad now that she had paused, it was going to take some getting used to, and she wasn't going to deny that. When Matt came back with the drinks, her stomach rumbled, good timing. <span style='color:green'>"Well babe, just make sure you realize I'm there for you. I'll stay up during those nights to help you through it, maybe even help you modify the shackles."</span> She twisted her hand around so that she clasped her hands with his. Gently pulling herself closer, she rested her head on his shoulder. Her free hand slid over to his leg and slowly rested on his thigh. She stroked up and down, applying some pressure every now and then. Giving one final squeeze, she exhaled deeply. Matt was just too good to her and sometimes she really didn't think she deserved him. This 'dragon, came into her life completely by chance and now they were head over heels for each other. Funny the way things work.
Matt breathed in deeply as she leaned on him, the closeness of her body made him slip into a heavily relaxed state. Her hand on his leg helped quite a bit too. He brought his own hand up to the side of her hair and face and softly caressed them, running his hand gently back and forth. "No babe, I donÂ’t want you seeing me like that and its too dangerous anyways. I always break out and if your then god knows what could happen. I would couldnÂ’t live with my self if I ever hurt you." He said in a very worried tone, chances are his were wolf form would probably kill her. Then his world would implode. She meant so much to him it was crazy, his soul yearned for her and his heart bled for her. She was the single constant in his pathetic existence of a life and he thanked every day for his time with her, the only day side was he was constantly expecting it to end.
Jade shrugged, it would be worth it if she could successfully get him to stop killing people. She only... killed one, how does Matt feel when he has killed many more? <span style='color:green'>"Nah, if it helps you then I dunno.. I'll turn into a were' too. I don't want you to have to go through this alone, I know it's tough." </span>As he played with her hair it shifted her bangs around and revealed her orange orb. For the past while now whenever it was revealed she didn't flinch as more, or at all sometimes. Maybe it was the effect Matt had on her; being comfortable with herself for once. <span style='color:green'>"Or even... We can go find some one to make us some indestructible shackles or locks or something. If I can do anything to help, I'm going to make sure I do it. You mean too much to me for me just to sit around and watch you parade around at night once a month."</span> She leaned in to kiss his cheek gently, closing her eyes for a second and the looking up at him. What was it she was so drawn to? He was perfect, that much was obvious.
Matt was in a comfortable dram like state with jade resting her head on him, their breathing in tune with each others , his chest causing her head to rise with every breath he took. Yet he froze ridged when she said she wanted to be a weredragon too, the very idea chilled him to the bone. He looked down at her and gently tilted her head to his with his paw, his eyes meeting with hers so he could fully make his point. "Babe no, just having you talking to me about this means so much to me. But I never want you to go through what i do, never in a million years. I would rather die then have you suffer un necessarily and going through the torment of it all. help all you want but I donÂ’t want you with me unless we can guarantee no harm will come to you." He said with a very serious but caring tone, it amazed him that she would even contemplate it. yet her other idea seemed great so far he had tried desperately to keep it a very hushed secret and he was the one that worked on his restraints. If they sought out professional help they might come up with something. "But getting help from others seems like a great idea babe, maybe then I wont have to hurt others." He said giving her nose tip a gently kiss. He wanted all this weredragon stuff to stop soon, the pain of hurting others cut deep.
Jade didn't like the fact that he was telling her no, if that was what she needed to do to be with him, that was what she was going to do. In a sense, he wouldn't be able to stop her if she decided to become a were'. He was looking out for her, she just hated it when people told her no. Sighing lightly, she realized he was right. <span style='color:green'>"I would do anything and everything for you. I'd travel to hell and back again if it only meant I'd be able to see you for one more minute. I really want to be there when you go through this, atleast only to understand what you do and figure out the best solution."</span> The hand that was on his leg slowly lifted to hold the side of his face, while her gaze never left his. It was her turn to prove a point. <span style='color:green'>"I love you, and I refuse to let you go through this alone."</span> Her gaze switched to both of his eyes, really making sure he understood her. Slowly she began to change her sitting position and moved so her legs were curled up beneath her. Her head tilted to the side and rested itself on his shoulder, her eyes closing gently and using the opportunity to think.
Matt sighed heavily recognising the same stubbornness that he often had, he admitted defeated and let her rest on his shoulder while he softly stroked the back of her head, the image of her amazing eyes lingering in his mind still. He let the moment drag on for a moment, savouring the sweetness of it while he thought up a plan to make sure she was safe. "I love you too babe, so much and if you really want to see me like that then fine. But it won be pretty and i wont reconsider you when IÂ’m like that, or anything else for that matter." He said very seriously. "Still, if your still sure we need to find someone to mage me stronger restraints or a cage or something. IÂ’m ok with this as long as you will be safe, ok babe." He said more tenderly while still stoking the back of her hand, his hand playing gently with her hair. He the idea still sent chills though his mind, the though of her seeing him as his beast self. A drooling mass of evil and destruction that would kill anything it could wrap its jaws around. He forced himself to not to shudder.
Jade's breathing was calm and evenly spaced out, though her heart was beating a million miles a minute. At one point she actually put a hand up to her chest and inhaled and exhaled deeply before her heart rate came down. This feeling was entirely new to her, she was ready to give so much and not expect anything in return except for his love. <span style='color:green'>"Don't worry. I'll... I'll figure something out so that you won't hurt me. And if I don't, well, something will work." </span>She had a few ideas up her sleeve, though she wasn't 50% sure that any of them would work. Her mind was thinking uncontrollably, imagining every possible scenario and what she would need to do in order to rectify the situation. Before she could get too into it, she stopped her brain abruptly. She still had another month to worry about it. She was glad that he agreed to let her stay, despite what his reservations were. Maybe he realized, she wouldn't give up, or maybe he just knew she could some how figure something out. Whatever he figured out, she was glad for it.
Matt could feel her body tense up against so sharply that he was incredible worried. He didnÂ’t want this to be something she feared, trying his best to calm her down he set his hands to work on her shoulders. Softly kneading her muscles and skin gently yet firmly, sliding them around in small circles on her back while she lay on him. "DonÂ’t worry babe, I can easily find some people who can make the best machina stuff. My pride was the only thing before keeping me from going to them, but now I will for you. I have a problem and its about time I admitted to it. it might help if you bring a steak to it though." he said with a tiny chuckle, yet in truth he was still very nervous. However he was trying to be a strong as he could for her, he didnÂ’t want his own apprehension bringing more of his troubles onto her. He would bare all the troubles of the world just to give her a night of perfect sleep. He loved her too much for his own good.
Jade's shoulders tensed up slightly when he tried to massage them, though after about a minute they slowly went down. Her breathing had become low seemingly non-existent though it was there. She closed her eyes and sighed; a bit frustrated. She loved him so much, and wanted to do everything possible for him, but now was she going overboard? Her heart felt like had a knife pierce through it just thinking about losing him because she was being overprotective or something. <span style='color:green'>"Thanks... You're not obligated to do this for me though. I can... Deal with it. It's okay."</span> She bit her lip, her teeth making a small mark on the sensitive skin and causing it to bleed. Her tongue quickly licked up the blood, not wanting to get her blood anywhere. Her mouth stayed shut from then on, thinking it might just be best if she didn't say anything else. Maybe for once keeping quiet might be the best thing, as she'd be known to say things that weren't always needed. Her timing was never great.
