<font color="aqua"> Bless You </font> Mint said politely <font color="aqua"> Lets go then shall we? You can come too Fork</font> Mint stood holding the flashlight in her tail as she walked to the stairs, pointing the light onto the floor and carefully stepping over the boxes and even over an old doll with one arm. When the green 'dragon reached the stairs she pointed the light behind her so that Kutz would be able to find her way.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>Sry, for being somewhat late. I was held up by the worst week of the school year.</td></tr></table> <span style='color:blue'>Like I have anything else to do.</span>Suro said, finishing the rest of his meal. He walked over to the stairs and shook his head. <span style='color:blue'> Ain't NO way I'm gonna trust this...</span> He instead extended his wings and flew up. It was a bit awkward since his right wing was cramped by the edge of the wall but it still got him up. <span style='color:blue'>Maybe... we can find something goood enough to sell in here. I don't think anyone would really live here.</span>
The dust was killing her nose! But she managed to go on without another sneeze and followed the lighted path Mint had made for her. She reached the stairs in time to see Fork flying oddly up the stairs. She giggled a little and climbed the stairs carefully. Kutz didn't need to worry though. For a 'dragon like her, she sure was light! The stairs didn't even bugge but just made a few creaking noises. "I think the boxes would have some pretty good stuff," Kutz replied to Fork's statement. "They felt heavy when i fell." Finally reaching the top stairs, she then try to make up her mind on which room to go and explore first. The first room she was done exploring, nothing much there. That left the few rooms on the right hand side.
Mint waited until Kutz was halfway up before starting up the stairs as well. Mint was light but not as light as Kutz and the stairs made a few tiny noises every once and a while on her way up. When she reached the top of he stairs she looked around and noticed how Kutz looked. Kutz seemed to be decided what room to take. Mint smiled to herself, when she realized she too was wondering whether the first room would be more interesting. Finaly she walked into the right room imediatly shedding the light beam all over the room just in case there was anyone else that was hiding in this shack. The entire room was filled with bokes, a small bed of somesort and a few pictures hung on the walls though they were tilted. There was a few closets but they wouldn't open but either than a tiny bathroom there was nothing else. <font color="aqua"> Lets start looking! </font>
<span style='color:blue'>"Have you ever had the sudden urge to break something?"</span> Suro asked. It was such a strange question but <span style='color:blue'>" I just have this weird feeling saying break something.. It's kinda funny.</span> He walked abou the top floor. As Mint went in one room, Suro went to the one next to it. He flicked the light switch and the light turned on. <span style='color:blue'>" Wait a minute... Since when was there a light switch here?!</span> Then the light turned off. Strange, there was no more light. Or lightbulb, or light switch. It was probably just him being a crazy again. nothing out of the ordinary. Then again... it could be another attack of the evil fuzzles coming to rob him of his sanity once more.. or something even worse than that... Nah, he went crazy again. At least that's what he was hoping for.<span style='color:blue'>Suro walked back out of the room slowly and went with Mint. She seemed to be in a more safer spot then where he was.</span>
After the shock of Suro's question Mint looked over at him passing by the door to 'her' room heading into another she answered <font color="aqua"> Yes, actually I have! I always have the urge to crush an egg or break a glass with one paw or have some sort of fit and break everything. </font> Mint pulled open one of the boxes before deciding to see if the light worked, for there was a light bulb above them. She flicked the switch at it came on but it was very dim and not very helpful. She walked back over to the box just as Suro was coming into the room. Mint looked down into the box mostly it was filled with old photo albums and picture frames. She pulled out the rattiest album and began leafing through it wondering where Kutz had gone.
Kutz was inspecting the dark hallway with only the light from Mint's torch that lit up the view when Suro asked a question. "Yes, I have. I would gladly like to break my siblings' bones. They always tend to pick on me because I was the weakest one." she said, frowning at the memory. She went in the room Suro was in after he had come out, having a weird expression on his face. She groped around in the darkness, trying to find for the light switch. Her hand hit something, "Ah... there it is," she said and flicked the light on. She went in, studying the surroundings of the room. At the conner of the room was a desk, beside the desk was several boxes covered in layer of dust. It all looked ordinary and abandoned. But something didn't seem right. She rounded the room, trying to pinpoint what was wrong with the room. She shoved the boxes around, sneezed at the dust that found their way to her nose, and rested on the clean desk... wait. Clean desk? She looked at the desk again, making sure she wasn't imagining things. What was a clean desk doing in this dusty old place? Just then, the light blinked several times and went off. Kutz just sat there, staring into darkness, trying to get her eyes to adjust to the dark. Then she could hear something scampering around. She stayed glued to her spot, she didn't want to move... in case. She felt something furry race across her foot. Which was just a harmless mouse trying to get back to it's home but Kutz didn't know that. She screamed.
Mint was looking at an old picture of a white 'dragon with a black one, they seemed to be married when she heard Kutz' scream. Mint stood and raced to the door like lightning. She ran into the next room where she had heard the scream emit from and groped for the switch, having had left the flashlight in the other room. Strangely enough the light came on once she flicked the switch and Mint ran over to Kutz saying <font color="aqua"> Kutz? Kutz, are you ok? what happened? </font>
<span style='color:blue'>Probably just a low draft blowing dust past your foot. </span> He thought a moment looking at the lightswitch again. <span style='color:blue'>Uh, guys.. This is like the middle of the forest right? With no electricity? I think you guys know where I'm going with this..</span> He knew they did. He turned around and looked at them and whatdayaknow? The light came off. He turned around, and the switch had disappeared. <span style='color:blue'>" Please tell me the switch is still there. I'm allergic to haunted houses...</span>
Kutz was still screaming her head off when the light came on and Mint's voice floated through the dusty air. "The desk was so clean and... the light! The light! It went off and then... and then... something... so furry it's so vile! It went across my foot! She was unable to calm down at the moment and when she heard what Suro said about dust being blown by the wind, she immediately shut up. Then Suro spoke up again and the light went off. Again, Kutz found herself in darkness. She wanted to scream but was too afraid too. "Suro, I think you give us bad luck..." she spoke after a few moments, shifting uncomfortably on her perch. "Someone please check the switch!"
Mint rolled her eyes, both of them were being ridiculous a haunted house? She stood walking over to where the switch had been and felt around for it in the dark. She was there for a minute before she was positive...this place was haunted. She raced over to Kutz as fast as could helping the 'dragon up before saying <font color="aqua"> The switch isn't there, lets get out of here! </font> She ran past Suro, grapping his paw pulling both of them. when she reached the stairs she let go of them but kept going, knowing that too many people on the stairs would be bad. She ran to the door trying to ynak it open. Sudenly she turned, deathly pale. <font color="aqua"> It's locked. </font>
Suro was frantic. He was scared, yes, but he wouldn't show it. It wouldn't be good to be scared with a bunch of girls around. Because when they get out of there (if they get out of there), they'll talk. Talk to a LOT of pendragons. That's not good. <span style='color:blue'>C'mon think! You gotta get out of here! It's probably just some really strange circumstance. THere are two girls here! Can't lose your cool now! Who're they gonna look to? If we do get out of here, they're gonna laugh at you. forever...</span> So, Suro sat against the table with his paw rubbing his chin. He thought hard. It's hard to think when you're scared. <span style='color:blue'> It was logical to go out the door. The window was small enough for Kutz to go through but I doubt she'd risk breaking glass all over herself. So since there is no escape left or right, we have two choices.</span> <span style='color:blue'>Up... or down..</span> he mumbled to himself<span style='color:blue'> Down sounds good. Closer to the ground </span>
Mint nodded, she agreed with Suro, She lookked over at Kuss to see if she was ok. She heard creaking at the top of the stairs though when she looked up she saw nothing. Mint suddenly heard a blood curdling scream. It pierced the the dark night. She looked at the other two dragons jumping at the abrupt sound. None of them had screamed so who was it? <font color="aqua"> D-d-do you think we should go up there? I mean, to see was that was? Someone could be hurt.</font> Mint had the same thoughts as Suro running through her head though she didn't think of it as two girls she just thought that they might get scared so at least one of them couldn't loose their head
Mint had rushed to her and it scared Kutz a little. What scared her more was that Mint mentioned that the switch was no longer there. The switch. The switch that Kutz had touched and flipped! Was no longer there! Heart thumped wildly agaisnt Kutz's rib cage and she didn't even realize that Mint had run downstairs. "Hey, wait!" she said aloud and rushed towards Mint. In a place like this, she wouldn't want to be alone. "It's locked? What do you mean it's locked?" Kutz replied Mint incrediously. She tried the door herself and yanked as hard as she could. It wouldn't bugde. Suro said something and Kutz was about to reply when a blood curling scream pierced through her ears. She got momentarily paralized and she just stood as still as a statue on her spot. "Go..." she gulped before continuing. "up there?! O-okay, but if no one's there? What if its... its... something else? You know, not pendragon like?"
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>meh... skip a turn... not so creative at the moment...</td></tr></table>
Mint shrugged. <font color="aqua"> We won't know until we go and find out right? And if its not...pendragon like then all you have to do is run like hell! </font> Mint slowly headed up the stairs waved so that Suro and Kutz would follow. She listened for sounds of anything moving, she wanted to know how big it was before she actually saw it.
