Xavier nodded, and set her down gently. I don't think we can get out of here alive... I know the soul inside of Talon... And it won't let us get away... He winced, and fell down on one knee, and began bleeding from a split lip he had gotten earlier. I won't let him kill us!!! He shouted to the stone roof, and suddenly his fur turned completely white. He began glowing, and light started pouring from his body in waves... He suddenly got up, all his wounds had dissappeared and he knelt beside Thi, and placed a hand on her head. All her wounds were healed as well, and then Xavier walked over to Drsuj and did the same thing. I don't know what the hell is happenning, But I think we stand a chance now... he said, and started walking down the corridor...
Thi stood and got up from Drsujs back as he stared down at his body. She looked at Xavier and started off after him. Are you ok Xavier? she asked him as Drsuj ran to catch up to them.
I don't know... This has never happened before... But for some reason I can control...this... He stopped and cocked his head to the side. He grabbed Drsuj with one arm and Thi with another and hurled them to the ground as a huge ball of dark energy flew right by the place they had been a few seconds before... Xavier got up in one fluid motion and faced Talon who was standing at the end of the corridor, his partisan raised and purple mist still rising from the blade. How the hell did you gain light powers?! He asked, with a snarl, and began charging energy for another huge attack, ignoring any answer Xavier might give. Xavier didn't respond, but raised his hands, one on top of the other, and began forming a ball of white light that soon matched the size of Talon's dark one...
Thi raised her head from the ground soon enough to see the energy hit the ground right where she was. Talon's large body loomed overhead. Talon, Xavier! Don't fight! she called to them, trying to force herself between Talon's huge body and Xavier.
I'm not Talon wench! The evil soul inside of Talon shouted, using Talon's vocal cords to voice his distorted own. He snarled and backhanded Thi out of the way, and fired the huge energy ball he had been charging. Xavier launched his at the same time however, and when they met in the middle, a huge explosion of purple and white occured, and the shockwave sent everyone flying away from it. Xavier and Talon got up, dark and light energy sparking along their limbs. We're too evenly matched! Xavier yelled, and suddenly charged Talon, and started grappling with him, the two types of energy crackling in the air around them. Run! Get by! We have to escape this place! They continued to grapple, trying to reach each other's throats...
But what happens to you two when we leave Drsuj yelled at Xavier as he helped Thi stand.
Xavier and Talon got up and continued grappling. Xavier gained the upper hand and kicked Talon's feet out from under him and then threw him bodily down the corridor. I'll wait untill you get far enough away.. Then I'll bring this temple down on top of us... We can survive, but it'll take the remaining energy both of us have. Talon will regain control and I'll return to normal... Now Go! He had barely finished his last words, and a large blast of dark energy hit him in the back, forcing him to drop to his knees. Talon walked up behind him and grabbed him by the back of the neck, and twirled him around and chokeslammed him into the wall with such force the entire corridor shook and a few loose pieces of stone and ice fell from the ceiling...
Drsuj nodded and began to run back the way they had come. Thi sighed and watched Talon and Xavier a moment longer before turning and running after Drsuj.
Xavier watched them go, barely trying to fight Talon off. When Thi dissappeared, he summoned his strength and threw Talon off him down the corridor. Time to bring the house down... He said to Talon, who was quickly getting up, showing no signs of pain. Xavier conjured a huge ball of light energy around his right hand, and then it shaped into a giant fist and he slammed it into the wall beside him. There was a rumble, and the ceiling started to give way. Since the entire temple was built centuries ago, the corridor collapsing comprimised the entire structure. The temple started to rumble, and all over the temple parts of the roof were caving in and several entrances had been covered by falling rock. A large piece of stone nailed Talon in the head, and he fell to the floor, knocked out. Xavier noted he stopped seeping dark energy, and he hoisted him onto his shoulders and limped off towards where Drsuj and Thi had gone...
Part of the celing had begun to collapse where Thi and Drsuj had stood. Drsuj gave a shout and stood up. He pressed his shoulder blades on the part of the ice collapsing. Showing signs or serious pain, he called to Thi, Run, I'll keep this up till talon gets here he said. Thi nodded against her better judgement and continued her flight down the ice cavern. She made it to the ditch where she and Drsuj had located Talon and Xavier.
Xavier found Drsuj holding up a huge piece of ice. Need a hand? he asked, and after walking to the opposite side of Drsuj, set Talon down and held out his hand. A light appeared in his hand, and he grunted as the huge piece of ice was surrounded by the light. The light hoisted it up a few feet above Drsuj. Drsuj, Move! Xavier shouted at him, and grunted again, trying to keep his arm up under the mysterious force that was helping him do this...
Xavier let it drop as soon as he was out of the way and quickly picked up Talon and started sprinting off after Drsuj. Dammit! Wait Up! He shouted ahead, weighed down by Talon...
Drsuj looked back. He ran back and helped Xavier support Talon's body. Thi waited anxiously by the entrance they first took. She wrung her hands, wondering if any of them would get out alive.
Xavier smiled. Thanks... he said and eventually they reached the spot where Thi was waiting. Xavier looked to the ceiling above. The entire icy ceiling above the temple had collapsed, and the temple was groaning and collapsing as well under the weight of the ice and snow. There were also several big holes in the roof all above the giant cavern, and piles of ice and snow were resting below them. Well, at least now that the temple's gone... Nobody can control the Ice Drake... But the other Drakes... Xavier muttered to himself, not realising that he was speaking loudly enough for Thi and Drsuj to hear...
Drsuj looked at Xavier questioningly. What other drakes? he asked. Thi was too busy with another thing to care about other things. The first place they had all met together was a hole in the snow. She streched her wings. She and Drsuj could get out, but what about Xavier and the unconsious Talon.
Well, I don't know much about them.. Except that there's several temples like this one scattered around the world, extremely well hidden... Every one has the egg of a Drake in the center.. and the Drake's element matches the temple and the location. I'd assume the fire temple would be in the desert, and the wind temple would be on a mountaintop... You've probably figured out what temple this is... He explained, and started walking back towards the hole they had fallen through in the first place...
Well, Drsuj said spinning. We'll just have to find them and destroy them. Then, maybe both you and Talon won't worry about transforming again.
Xavier laughed. The drakes have nothing to do with our transformations... It was sheer luck that we were travelling through this area when we wound up like this... I agree though, the drakes pose a threat if someone ever got the idea of taming them... But I think the drakes only understand the ancient language my and Talon's people speak... Maybe only Anubal 'dragons can harness their power? I have no clue... There are no rules... As for destroying them... I'm no hero... I don't feel like trekking around the world just because there's a small chance they might be tamed... He seemed to realise how long he had ranted on, and shut up. Talon moaned and clutched his head, and started to come to...
