Naedalya collapsed under Tagryan. She turned, lying on her back, staring at him in the eyes, and tried digging her claws into his sides, lifted her wings around him and slashing those claws into Targ's scruff. She had an opportunity to do it, so she slinked away from underneath Tagryan as he saw her claws coming at him. She stood up and faced him, snarling deeply. She was very worried about her brother. And wondering if Morgan would attack her too now.
OOC: i thought you usually attacked the minions first.. Because they were weaker ... NM BIC: Darn ! Her attack had not resulted in the ways she had planned it to. Chitter still looked strong and was far from overblalanced. What should she do? She looked around for some source of help when she noticed the unfamiliar pendragon lying on the floor, dead, she presumed. Nae was at his side, Â Must be of her kin. She was relieved as she saw the blood covered form move a little but then her eyes caught something terrible going on behind them - Targ, who had, up to now, remained 'peaceful', observing and directing, was now about to jump for Nae. - Nae !!! Behind you ! She yelled, hoping it was not too late. Too late, Targ was onto her... The whole scene had distracted her and as she turned back to face Chitter she sudenly felt that she was deep trouble...
Drak decided Diable would probably die if he didn't do anything. He went out to look for the correct herbs to help heal him and came back as quick as he could. Of course, it had taken quite a while finding them inthe middle of the weather and in the midst of all of the vegetation scattered on the ground. He cautiously approached Diable, hoping Diable would not kill him thinking it was Morgan. He hoped noone would attack and Nae was was holding them off for now. Not that he could not use magic efficiently, he just was too busy to battle. "Look, I'm Nae's friend, I'm here to help..." he whispered to Diable as he approached. Nae was more of an acquaintance, but he would consider her a friend for the time being. He planned to quickly administer the herbs and see if there was any other way he could help Nae and Estrella.
Diable wouldn't have been able to fight back anyway. He muttered weakly, whispering, " Yea, when I arrived she pointed out that you were on her side. "
Morgan noticed Drak leave, and then return with some healing herbs. Her dark eyes narrowed, and she growled lowly. She was sitting now, and cleaning some of her wounds. Her head wound still ached and it was drawing her strength. She didn't interfere because she didn't know how much strength she had in her. If she had to fight, she needed what strength she had left. Diable wasn't the emergency right now, to her. Targryan could handle Naedalya, and Chitter had an eye on Estrella, who was almost too weak to fight anyway. That just left Drak, and Morgan intended to keep an eye on him herself.
Chitter, seeing Estrella's momentary distraction, used the opportunity to rush at Estrella. If she succeeded, her jaws would close firmly about Estrella's shoulder, bringing her down at least. Chitter didnt know if Tagryan wanted their attackers alive or dead, so she did not aim for Strella's throat as she might otherwise have done. However, a broken collarbone or shoulderbone or whatever would definitely put Estrella out of action for a while. Unless, of course, she managed to evade her attacker. With a snarl, Targ leapt to the side of Nae's sharp claws and teeth. He rushed at her, looking like he was aiming at her shoulder, but at the last minute switched and aimed for her leg. If he succeeded, his jaws would crush her leg bone. And she wouldnt be able to fight very well with a broken leg. Nadine, meanwhile, was gradually coming to her senses. She tried to stagger up to her feet, but the ropes prevented her and she fell. And they were positioned so that she couldnt reach up and cut them with her claws or reach down and sever them with her teeth. She was utterly helpless, and dependent on her friends' success. But as she watched them, she realized dimly that they didnt seem to be doing too well.
As Targ leapt towards Nae's shoulder, she instinctively jumped into the air, pulling herself up and away faster with her wings. But seeing him veer sideways all of a sudden, she realized just how lethal it could have become if she had a broken leg. She didn't intend on landing again and possibly getting hurt, but she had to do something. She had to fight Tagryan, the leader, if she wanted to get Nadine, especially, out of this. So, she twirled and began diving straight towards Targ again, to knock him over or something like that.
Tagryan's jaws snapped on empty air with an audible click. He whirled, but, seeing no one, Targ realized that Nae must have taken flight. Not having wings, he couldnt fight her in the air, but had to wait for her to come down. There, out of the corner of his eye, he saw Nae dive-bombing him. He pretended not to have noticed, to be scanning the area around him, when at the last instant, right before she would have bowled him over, Targ whirled and attempted to grab her out of the air with his jaws, rearing up on his hind legs so he could use his front paws to slash at her. Hopefully she woudnt manage to evade him as neatly as she had last time.
As she dove, her salivating lips parted, eventually her teeth too. Targ didn't seem to see Naedalya coming at him. About to land on his back, Nae's lightning quick reflexes made her turn right at the last second as Tagryan stood tall on his hind legs, but a slight mistake left her with a slash across her stomach. Feeling the sharp pain, she landed far away to examine the deep wounds on her midriff, ignoring Tagryan and the others. It hurt too much to ignore.
Well, his attack had partially succeeded, but Targ was getting tired, and he needed to bring her down soon if he was to succeed. He was fairly confident Chitter could handle Estrella, but then there was still that last pendragont o worry about. And it wuld be best if Morgana didnt have to fight anymore, she seemed pretty severely wounded, if nothing life-threatening. Still, someone could check on her. And Targ had several scratches which were bleeding - none very serious, but enough to sap a little of his already tiring strength. So now Tagryan took the opportunity to lick his wounds - which would stem the bleeding a bit - a rest, gathering his strength. Nae was a decent opponent, and he would need both his wits and strength to bring her down. So after glancing at Chitter to make sure she was still standing firm, Targ lay crouched and rested his head on his paws, although his eyes never for a moment left Naedalya'a distant form.
Nae sat down, her three distinct slash wounds ceasing to bleed. She shook her head, readying herself to find Targ walking towards her to attack - but he wasn't anywhere. She saw Chitter and Estrella still dueling, and Diable, who's eyes blinked when she looked at him. He raised a paw from where he was, pointing at some bushes. She looked, and saw a dark form slinking behind it, closing in on her. She telepathed to Diable, { Thanks. } and smiled, looking away. Her wounds still throbbing, Nae picked up some snow and iced them, completely aware of Targ's position. Waiting there for a few minutes, Nae became impatient and walked back, on purposely passing close to Targ.
Although Targ raised his head and tensed himself should she spring at him, he did not leap at Nae as she passed quite close to him. Her only fathomable reasons for doing such a thign would be to bait him to attack, which wasnt his style until he was sure of his bringing his victim down. And if baiting him was Nae's purpose, then she would be more than prepared for any attack he might spring on her. So he refused to rise to her challenge, waiting for her to become impatient and attack. Or else wait so long and become so distracted that he could attack and fell her easily. Tagryan was no begginner at the game of cat and mouse. As far as he was concerned, Nae was the mouse, he was the cat, and he was just outside her mousehole.
So he wasn't that easily provoked. Nae didn't care. She didn't want to fight anyway. She walked for Diable and Drak, asking, "How's my brother coming along?" with her ears swivelling, listening for Tagryan.
Nae seemed to have taken refuge in the company of her sole remaining (along with Estrella, although she was occupied with Chitter) compatriot. Targ didnt much mind. Nae would have to venture forth on her own at some point. And the fact that the last pendragon had so far stayed out of the actual fighting indicated to Targ that they didnt think much of their own fighting abilities. Which was half the battle won already. Besides, he doubted that Nae would really be content to leave the vicinity without Nadine. And he seriously doubted that they would be able to break through his spells on her - it would require serious dark magic. So for now he was still content to wait, his eyes never leaving Nae and Drak.
"The wound will not get infected with these herbs, and it will heal much faster, but I'm not sure if he will be able to do much until he rests for a little while longer, it was a pretty deep gash," he whispered to Nae. He knew that Morgan and Targ was somewhere in the bushes, and they probably (and hopefully) wouldn't pounce, probably knowing that Drak, Nae, and Diable knew where they were, and were ready to counter them. Nae looked like she could still fight for a while longer. He then observed the gash on Nae's stomach, already healing. Looks like he was the only one not yet touched in battle. He planned to keep it that way as well.
Estrella saw Chitter dive for her. She ducked but it was little too late. Her elbow was not broken as iy surely would have had she not realised earlier, but the gush was deep, and the sharp pain made her loose her balance, she fell to the ground but instantly rolled over, in case Chitter should get at her again. her pain was now almost forget, left behind, locked in some part of her mind with all the others. She eyed Chitter carefully, anticipating her next move, as she circled her slowly, a murderous look in the eye.
"That's good. Just as long as he's alright." Nae turned, looking at Tagryan. So, Diable was going to be alright under Drak's care. Noticing that Drak was turned in a direction able to see Tagryan, she asked, { Hey, watch Tagryan for me. I don't want it to look like I'm keeping my watch on him. } and picked up a stick in the snow and began doodling random scribbles in a patch of fresh snow. Added floral patterns around a footprint.
Drak nodded at Nae, and kept an eye out towards the bushes. He also looked around here and there, wondering where Morgan was. He hoped Estrella was still strong enough to fight on, because he could not see Estrella or Chitter from his position, so hopefully Estrella was holding her own. He glanced at Diable who seemed to be healing quickly. He'd never seen such a recovery, usually with such an injury the victim would be unconscious, or even dead. Apparently, Morgan did not want to kill Diable, because she could have easily have done it. His eyes then fell once again towards the bushes were Darg was situated. At this rate, they would sit here until Estrella's battle was over, or one of them fell asleep.

Chitter snarled, circling so as to keep her eyes constantly on the circling Estrella. Â Suddenly, giving no hint of his pending action, she lunged silently, jaws gaping, at Estrella's already-injured leg. Her balance, Chitter had noticed, was now slightly off on that side, so she was less likely to be able to spin away from her as she had last time. She bared her teeth in a silent grin. Hopefully, this time she would taste blood. Estrella would not get away. He hoped. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ As for Tagryan - he waited.
Estrella crumpled under her weight as Chitter went at her. She had already been limping and was now incapable of get back up on her four feet. She needed help - and badly too. She quickly telepathed to Nae, Nadine and Drak simultaneously. { Help ! } Before quickly grasping a branch a little above hjer head and bending it halfway. She suddenly let it go and, if she had aimed properly, it might have hit chitter in the face. that would give her some time, enough to be helped she hoped.
