{ Alright..they're onto us. I'm gonna go provoke Chitter and Morgan (she pointed at them) ..And you'll stay here. Don't touch Nadine, or bother getting close to her. At a state like this, I'm sure she'd rather be protecting herself from anyone about to touch her or get near her. So I'll pounce at them rapidly, pretty much distracting them from Nadine. Call her name standing in front of her. If she doesn't respond, throw stuff at her. Like a snowball. Sounds mean, but that's all we can do to save her. So guide her away, pretty much. If you manage to do all this in the time I have to keep the two distracted, perfect. Til I start disctracting them, stay hidden here. } She nodded at him, making sure he understands, approaching the fire where Morgan and Chitter guarded Nadine, crouching. As they noticed her, she started, "Hello. I'm going to start this off kindly. Release Nadine. NOW." She was keeping a large distance, ready for anything. She wasn't percieving what could happen to her yet, just watching Morgan and Chitter. Making sure Drak was ready.
Wary of Chitter, she remained in her stance. "Get out of my way." Knowing they wouldn't, Naedalya jumped into the air, immediately taking flight in mid-jump. She flew high above them, landing in front of Nadine, with Chitter and Morgan behind her. The fire seperated the two from Nadine. "Nadine?," she whispered, worried about it all. Figuring out if she's even coherent at the moment.
Morgan stood, smirking. She looked like a large black shadow, looming. She kept an ear and half her attention focused at Tagryan, ready to obey orders at any moment. The rest of her attention was focused on Nae and the forest surrounding them. The third one was probably still out there, and more likely helping the other two pendragons. Ignoring the wound on her head inflicted by the one standing in front of her, the ache was just a dull background noise. She was used to ignoring those.
Seeing that Tagryan was slow to react, Estrella made for his nose. She managed but to rip only a bit of his flesh and leave an almost insignifiant scratch on his already damaged face. she landed on her legs, facing him, but decide to resume her tree tactic and made for the branch again, sneering as she looked upong her agressor.
Behind Chitter and Morgan, Naedalya could barely see Estrella. But when she climbed into the tree, she reassuredly began approaching Nadine, calling her name, but still watching her two hostage-takers. If Nadine didn't wake up soon, Estrella would most likely be killed by Tagryan.
Tagryan snarled deeply when she scored him. She would pay for that, the bitch. Stepping back, his eyes closed until they were half-lidded. In his mind, he envisioned a glowing web wrapping itself tightly around her legs and body. He almost put it around her neck and face as well - strangle/ smother her - then decided he wanted to talk to her and maybe have some fun with her before killing her. If his plan worked, the rope would trip her up and she would crash off her branch and fall right at his feet - a tidy little package. But he couldnt remember what her magic skills were, if she would be able to block him - he hadnt wasted energy on hiding his air flows and making his spell more subtle. If she noticed this one and blew it away, then he would next time. But this one was wortha shot. He grinned. Then opened his eyes to see if it had worked.
Diable flew in from Ajita - he had decided that they weren't worth his time. The air was crisp, with a biting cold in it. Snowflakes were still gently falling from overnight's storm. A thick, untouched white blanket covered the forest he was soaring above. It was incredibly beautiful with the sun rising, its rays hitting the snow and giving the land a soft, warm glow of orange. The sky was still quite dark though. After flying for about 15 minutes, Diable heard some indistinct mumbles to his right. Civilisation? He was surprised. He dove through the snow-covered trees and shook himself as his paws stepped on solid ground. Through all the trees ahead of him, he noticed six Pendragons in some sort of brawl. Two were in an all out fight, as three others seemed to be yelling at eachother, a white and burgundy winged female against a female and a male, standing above a weak female. Another one stood in the bushes. Heh..must have gotten bored of it all. But there was something about the winged white female. So familiar. He took a good look at himself, turning his head, comparing himself to her. Same draconic, oversized wings. Same hair. Same build. She just has burgundy hair, and mine is black. In awe, he backed away. It's my sister, Naedalya!!! He hadn't seen her in years, and hadn't thought about her in even more years. My kid sister, all grown up. Being bullied.. It was an instinct brothers have - to go save her sister from evil bullies, or at least Diable hoped..because he felt literally pushed there, with the motive to help out his sister. How she'd gotten into it all, who's side she was on..it didn't matter. Fraternal instincts gave him the simple desire to get her out of it safely. So Diable tucked his wings to his sides, and crouched low to the ground. His fur was as white as the snow. With every step, he could hear their brawl with more clarity. Naedalya wanted this 'Nadine' to be released from Chitter and the dark female at his side. As for the one hiding in the bush...He didn't know. 10 feet from the brawl now, behind a tree with many footsteps around it, he wondered whose they were. But then he crouched to the ground, his head peering from the side of the tree. With a deep breath, Diable stepped out from his hiding place. All eyes seemed to turn to him. "Sorry to interrupt, but..leave my baby sister alone! And her friends too!" He snarled deeply, his tail swaying just at the tip. Naedalya stood in awe, recognizing him immediately. "Diable!!" He was as big as ever - muscled and rather heavy-set compared to when he was younger. A feeling of safety encouraged her to say, "My brother's going to kill you if you don't let Nadine go. And I'll gladly help him out. So will Estrella and Drak. You're outnumbered now."
All this time, Drak had not been idle. He was waiting for the moment to be able to get Nadine's attention, but only hers. So far, it looked like if he called to her, then Chitter and Morgan would notice. When their attention was brought to this strange Pendragon, which was apparently Nae's brother Diable, he called to Nadine, and even managed to throw a snowball at her without the others even noticing. He soon thought he saw Nadine move slightly, and stopped calling, because Nae had stopped talking, and he might have been heard by Chitter and Morgan. He waited for the next opportunity to arise.
Morgan eyed the newest male and lowered her head, snarling at him. She would not be bullied into losing a meal without a fight. [We did not attack your precious sister to begin with. She led herself into this mess all on her own, as well as her friends. If you want to blame someone, blame her.] Morgan telepathed to the male Diable, angry now. Her claws unsheathed themselves from her paws, itching at the snow beneath her feet. She was ready for a fight now, and angry for enough for one too. Her tail switched, voicing her irritation and anger.
Estrella was jubilating. Serve ya right, my dear tagryan ... She looked upon him and was surprised to see that he had closed his eyes. What's he up to? She decided to take a go at him again before he opened them but, in mid air was suddenly paralysed as she crashed to the ground, trapped in some kind of net. She struggled all she could but the net just seemed to get tighter and tigher. So she stopped moving, hoping that would stop the process and look at the all powerful agressor. I just knew you would have to use some magic trick, huh? No, you couldn't just fight with your strenght and muscles, no, you had to do it. She growled fiercely. She knew she was doomed so she tried one last effort and managed to leap, not very high, but nevertheless leap and pin Tagryan to the floor. The net tigened and tightened, she wouldn't bare it much longer. she had no more stranght, it was as though the net was actually sucking in all her strenght and energy, it was killing her, slowly and painfully. How she hated tagryan at that very moment. She rolled over to see what was going on aroubd her. Hopefully the others might have done something more productive than her. She saw a stranger at Nae's side, not a memeber of Tagryan's band she knew. With the last energy that she had, She gave out a little plea. Help .. help me ! Then sensing that all was over, she let Tagryan out of her grip and turned to see him in the eye, still sneering.
Nadine was vaguely aware of what wsa going on. Her head was still aching something fierce from the knock she'd received when she'd fallen in the lake, and she had also sustained a minor concussion. All together, she was rather woozy. However, when Drak sent her the snowball, she managed to rouse herself a little from her lethargy. She shook her head slightly to try to clear it, but stopped abruptly as it resulted in a flash of white-hot pain. Guess I wont try that again, she thought, then tryed to focus on what the stranger pendragon was saying. And who was that big brute over with Nae and her two captors? In her state, it didnt occur to her to wonder at what Nae, after betraying her, was doing back here. It was all she could do to just ake in things as they were. -------------------- After Estrella stopped moving, having rolled off him, Targ studied her for a moment. She seemed to be suffocating. He loosened her bonds a little - he didnt feel like killing her just yet. He wasnt particularly angry now, but when he was, he knew from many past experiences that he would want a punching bag. She would serve nicely. So now he loosened her bonds just enough for her to breath, but enough to keep her from thrashing. She seemed unconcious. Good. She would be able to cause less trouble that way. Glancing away from her still form, which, eerily, was still frozen in a sneering position that Targ had the distinct impression was aimed at him, he looked to see how Chitter and Morgan were faring. He didnt expect them to have many problems. But suddenly he froze. Nae and the other stranger were now accompanied by another stranger, a large, hulking fellow who seemed to have the others slightly taken aback. Nadine still seemed fairly out of it - and anyway she was wrapped up tight as a mummy - but that wouldnt do much good since Chitter and Morgan were outnumbered - and Morgan was still wounded. Grimacing, and giving a little snarl, he glared at Estrella's prostrate form and it rose about shoulder-height into the air. He snarled again and it flew to join him, 'Strella still collapsed on her side where she had fallen. As Targryan walked to join the others it stayed with him. With another snarl, Targ cut the spell free from himself, so as not to sap more of his power. It would still last for another half hour or so, he would just have to remember before time. Or if not he supposed he could always make it look like he had dropped her on purpose, for the pain or something. He shrugged. Then he emerged from behind a bush, in full view, and only about 10 ft away, from the others. The newest arrival seemed to be challenging the others or something. That he was related to Nae was obvious from their looks. Grimacing inwardly, he outwardly remained calm. "Unless you want me to further harm your little friend here, I would surrender right now if I were you", he said coldy, walking deliberately closer, Estrella still flying next to him, Â as he said it. There was a cold, unforgiving glint in his eye, and he flexed his claws as he walked. He was ready to draw some more blood.
So they weren't about to give up this Nadine just yet. Diable didn't know what to do just yet, so his sister and he had an extremely discreet voice conversation. He made sure to do it quietly, while still snarling at Morgan as a sort of distraction. He was pretty sure they weren't paying attention to his mind right now, and if they were, well then he'd fight them to the death most likely. One person who had stood by him in their childhood was his sister, Naedalya, and Diable wanted to thank her for that. -{ So, what's up, sis? } -{Pretty simple, really. That's Nadine, there's Drak, and there's Estrella. } She moved here eyes to point out where they were, and gulped when she saw Estrella in her current state. { We're trying to save Nadine. Long story short, I was taken hostage by Tagryan and his bandmates, and so was forced into trickin' Nadine into coming into this trap with me. Then I escaped and now I'm back trying to save her. Sort of. } Diable nodded, unsure of the current situation still. But he was willing to to whatever it takes to help his sister out, and he was only doing it for her. With Morgan's little remark, he replied, { Shutup. I don't care how she got into this, and its only her fault because you aren't letting her go. Stupid bitch. } and took a step towards her, retracting his large, feline-like claws while his tail twitched as a once idle yellow flame grew to a large orange-red flame. Then, his head turned to see Tagryan coming out of the forest, close to him, with Estrella floating beside him helplessly. " Hey, buddy. What took you so long to fight a girl and get her into that state?? Gotta admit it took ya some time. " He jeered at him, smirking.
"Since you werent here at the start, how would you know how long it took me?" Targ said smoothly, coldly, still walking deliberately towards Chitter and Morgan. He had reached them now and faced Nadine. "Seems you cant even do your own work, Nadine. First you sent Estrella, and since she obviously failed, you called for more backup. Two large hunks who probably talk nastier than they fight, and do all their charming with looks." Immediately he slammed up his magical shields as he didnt expect either of the males to take his remarks lightly. Now, when they charged him, they would b e bounced back, assuming they didnt shear through his barrier with magic first. He also kept an eye on Nae, as he didnt know how she would react either.
" Well, it looks like you just noticed me. Do you even have the slightest idea of how long I've been here? " Diable shook his head, knowing that Tagryan had just noticed him after coming out of the secluded forest area where he had been fighting with Estrella. " Bastard, " he muttered quietly, but knowing Tagryan had heard him. As all this was happening Naedalya couldn't just stand there, just waiting for a violent clash to erupt. She would obviously go fight at Diable's side, but wasn't about to let him actually lead the whole thing. Since Morgan and Chitter weren't about to let Nadine go just yet, she took several steps closer to the pair. " Get up, lazy butts. Seriously, you look really stupid sitting there doing nothing while Tagryan over there's setting shields for himself. At least he knows he needs it. " She lowered herself to the ground, ready to pounce.
Estrella woke up, her whole body aching. She slowly opened her eyes, not remembering what had happened and how she had ended up so badly. She almost died of shock when she did open them and found herself flying a few meters above the ground. By then, she had recovered her memory and was thinking of a way to escape the enervating "web" which still seemed to deprive her from her strenght. the sharp pain had ceased though and she seemed to be a little free-er than before and could just about pass her paw though the net without generating a reaction from it. She tried to paw at Tagryan whose attention was now focused on the newcomer, who, obviously, was not on his side, without any success for she lack a few inches. So, having no other alternative, she put her weight on one side of the net causing it to sway a little, just enough. The web began to tighten again, but she managed to mar Tagryan's face anyway. She could feel the net falling but hse did not know if that was just the effect pain she was feeling or wether she had acieved what she wanted and Tagryan had lost the grip of his spell.
Tagryan bit back a yelp and snarled instead as 'Stella swiped at his face. He realized, as well, that the net-spell was starting to wear off - it had been over 20 minutes since he had put it into effect. So he dropped it all the way, so that she would go crashing the rest of the way to the ground. Chitter, meanwhile, had seen that targ was in trouble. Immediately, she leaped for estrella's form now once again earth-bound, her paws aime rigth at estrelas shoulders, to pin her down. It wasnt for nothing that Targ had named her his Captain.
Diable saw opportunity knocking as he was distracted from keeping order with Morgan and Chitter. But the real luck came when Chitter pounced for Estrella. Not for Estrella, but for him and his sister. With breakneck agility, he pounced for Tagryan. With his head lowered, he jumped into the air and attempted to bump him violently in the ribs.
Morgan leapt and managed to knock Diable off course, smashing her large body into his. She snarled angrily and backed away, crouched into a defensive position. She faced her body so that she could keep and eye on Diable and Nae at the same time. If Nae went for Nadine, Morgan would stop her, of course. That had been the assignment Tagryan gave her. She had made it so that Diable didn't have the element of surprise, and Tagryan had a slight upper hand. Morgan used her magic and put another net around Estrella, restraining her once more, and freeing Chitter from having to hold her down, for the moment.
Knocked off course, Diable was jolted to the side by Morgan's leap into him. In mid-air, he flapped his wings and elevated above them all. "You bitch!!!" He yelled, and dove for her back, trying to land on it and maybe take her down. Then slaughter her. Meanwhile, Naedalya saw it all happening. Oh my gosh.. Pure instinct pushed her into kicking snow at Nadine again. Now everyone's attention was averted to Diable, she hoped. "Nadine!!" She called into her ear, loud but not so much as to be heard by the others. "Wake up..."
