Peiruh truned befor Nor got into the truck cab and tapped him on the sholder. "for you" she said and put a ring of flower on his head. Nor looked at the flowers and smiled at the coulple, she then thanked him for showing them his baby. Nor Almost started to cry. He wiped away a small tear form his eye and said, "your very welcome." He then quickly got into the cab of the truck. Thats what she use to do.... Nor thought as he touched, lightly, one of the little pink flowers. He sighed, knowing he would never know that joy again, and just smiled and enjoyed the moment. He then started to move the truck forward, turning it around, and heading it down the edge of the field to the plot in question.
Vac quietly watched, as Peiruh gave Nor the flowers, and thought to himself, He has lost someone dear to him. Perhaps he is willing to sell the land, so that he can have something resembling a family..... He looked out the window, and watched the scenery.
Though technically she wasn't an empath, she did have an acute sense of other's feelings. Laying her hand on his shoulder carefully she looked at him and smiled meekly. Things get better over time and unexpected surprise come to those who deserve them. She smiled and then pulled away into the arms of Vac.
Peiruh put her hand on Nor's sholder though the cab window, and gave her comferting words. He slowed the truck down and truned out the window and simled back at her. "Thank you." he said, a little crack in his voice. He turned back to driving and in the rear view mirror saw Peiruh take Vacs arm as the cutled. Nor looked back to the road, as a ruff spot was coming. He slowed down as the truck when over the bumps and dips in the road.
Vac smiled, and put his arm around Peiruh. "Nor your land out here looks fantastic. You have done, some great work on it." He smiled as Nor carefully drove, to the plot of land, they were going to look at.
She smiled at the land that was so vast and so promising. That small gesture illuminated her already brilliant face and she found herself wanting to jump out the car and start growing stuff already. O I can just imagine it...a house, a garden filled with beautiful flowers, a vegetable garden and then all the open space to play around in. Her voice was dreamy as she closed her eyes and saw herself in that future.
Nor Smiled at the comments from the back of the truck as he finnished getting over the bumps and took a trun around the rocks which made those bumps to a large area between two rock outcropings. The area was mostly flat, At the moment, it was covered in short weeds because Nor hadn't worked it in years. The area was big enough to take about 5 min to drive the truck across. Nor drove out to the center of the area, and parked the truck. He got out and said, "Well, here we are. There are a lot of rocks around the edges, but here in the center is some good soil. It just started to get really hard to get my big tractor in here, My old refelxs just can't do it any more." Nor said with a laugh as he opened the tailgate and helped Vac and Peiruh. down.
Vac hopped down out of the truck, and turned to help Peiruh down. He looked around and smiled. He could picture the image that Peiruh, had just described. He looked towards the land. "I could see how difficult it would be, to get a big tractor in this area. With some work the possibilities are endless."
She hopped down easily enough, though she realized that in a couple of days it wouldn't be so simple. Smiling she nodded her head enthusiatically. It won't be that hard...it will be fun I think. Her eyes glazed over in a dreamy state as she knelt to the ground and ran her fingers over the rocks, soil and weeds.
Nor Noded and smiled at the dreamy hope he saw in both there eyes. It was like the look he had when he bought this place. "So what are you folks planes? Have you got an Idea of what exatly your going to do out here?" Nor asked, more in a way to figure out both wanted to do. Seeing Vac didn't talk much, he was hoping Peiruh would maybe tell him some of their planes.
Peiruh clapped her hands excitely. Well...I'm having a kid soon so we want to build a house. And I'm studying herbology and plant medicines and such so I want to make this place beautiful with flowers. I just want a happy peaceful life. She nodded vigerously and held Vac's hand.
Vac smiled. He looked at Peiruh and Nor. "As Peiruh has just said. We are wanting to build a house. To raise our child and create a happy and peaceful life together." He watched Nor as he said these words, watching for his reaction.
Nor smiled at the happness he saw in they'er eyes. Nor's decision was already forming in his mind, but he wanted to ask a few more questions. It didn't seem they where too worryed about what condition the land was in. They seem to trust him that he took good care of. Nor sat down on the tail gate of the truck. "So what you folks going to do for work. I you work out your home now Vac, but I'm gathering that your a busy gal Peiruh, Is this going to only be part time, full time home? I mean you both seem like bright folks, don't get me wrong. But what are going to do for work out here. Not much around here but the little down 40 or so miles south of here."
She looked at Nor and bit her lip, she felt like she was losing the deal. Um well I'm opening a hospital. I'm going to work there but well for the first years of this child's life I'm staying home with it. Peiruh smiled her awarding winning smile and looked nervously to Vac.
Vac put his arm around Peiruh to help her calm down. He looked over at Nor, feeling a tad bit nervous himself. He looked around the land around them and smiled. "So, Nor what do you think?"
Nor Played with the Tsymd Vujn hat he had on as he pondered. These folks did seem like nice folks, they where city folk for sure, but nice non the less. Nor let a "Hummm" out looking at the couple again. He then felt a little something inside move lose, a little block in feeling that had been there for a long time. Nor smiled and got of the tail gate of the truck, letting his tail drag off as he started to walk around to the front of the truck. "Well, hop in and we can get the paper work started back at the house." Nor said as he opened the driver side door of the truck. He truned around to see how they responded. He kind of wanted to hurry, because the feeling that moved out of the way may move back, and he felt this was a good thing he was doing and he didn't want to stop.
Peiruh jumped up and down, clapping her hands and utterly excited. Diving into the car she smiled broadly and hung her head out over the side. Thank you so much Nor. Abandoning the truck she ran to him and hugged him and touched the wreath she had made for him. Tiny flowers blossomed. Forget-u-nots. A hybrid of forget me nots, but well I won't forget you Nor. She grinned ear to ear and climbed back into the car, looking happily at Vac.
Vac couldn't help but grin when Nor responded. He followed Peiruh over to Nor and took his hand, shaking it firmly. "Thank you so very much. This is fantastic." He looked over at Peiruh and leaned down to kiss her on the cheek. He then quickly moved and sat down in the car waiting on Nor to join them.
After Nor said his comment Peiruh begain to jump with joy, and Vac simled ear to ear. Peiruh, who had jumped into the bed of the truck almost tackled Nor with a HUGE hug that just about rattled Nors old bones into a new shape. Nor put a hand around Peiruh's Back just above her wings and didn't quite know to smile or be afraid. Vac then cam over and took one of his hands and shook it firmly, Peiruh un-clamped her self form Nor and touched the flowers on his head, and told him they where "Forget-u-nots" Nor laughed at this, He loved forget me nots and had them all around his house. Vac thanked him, still shaking his hand, Nor Shook his hand back and said, "Well come on you Two, Get in the Truck, Night i on its way and we still need to print up all th paper work." Nor climbed in front cab of the truck and started the truck up.
She cuddled into the truck, hardly able to contain herself. Smiling, she looked up to the sky and the first dusting of sparkling stars.
