Asenka looked him in the eyes. He had beautiful eyes.. And he looked so honest when he asked her that. Sick again, but honest all the same. She smiled wider than she had since she came here and gave him a kiss on the cheek and a big hug. "Of course."
He smiled. His face turned bright silver. "Do you wanna go somewhere else?" he asked as they were coming out of the movie theater.
"Sure.", she said lacing her fingers on her right hand with his left. "Want to get something to eat?" She didn't want to go back to the dorm room just yet. She was having way to much fun. She walked down the street with him to a nice pizzeria. She hoped this was ok with him. She always felt weird leading people around.
He smiled. "Mmmmmm pizza, my favourite, oh and i'm paying" he said handing her some money "go and order whatever you'd like" he said smiling.
Asenka ordered a pepperoni pizza for them both and followed the waiter to the table. She pulled out her chair and sat down. She took a sip her water and examined all the interesting things hanging on the walls. She really did like the city so much better than the country. She loved being surrounded by the people and the lights. Asenka stared at the decorations everywhere and smiled in spite of herself. She had a feeling Khodac was looking at her... Or, rather, staring. That was ok though. he hadn't seen her looking at him like that in the movie theater,so it wasn't a big deal at all.
Asenka looked up at him with a mouth full of pizza. She quickly swallowed it. "Not much to tell.." she said taking a drink of her water. "I've never known my parents, and I wondered most of my life. It was only recently I decided to go to school." she paused for a second, debating whether to tell him about her memory loss sometimes. "Sometimes.. "she began, "sometimes I'll forget things. Like where I live, or who I can trust." she finally told him. "And sometimes I can make people mad.." she pointed to small patch of fur missing on her arm and blushed. "I got in a bad fight a few years back. Drunk guy hit me in the back of the head with a broken beer bottle. Think that's where my memory loss comes from."
Khodac listened carfully. He felt bad for her. "I knew my parents, but they were abusive. They didn't like who I was, we had many fights, so when I was 16 I left home to seek my destiny. My sister Breaca was all that I cared for, and I haven't seen her since I turned 17. I learned to be an assassin from the greatest one of them all and...he smiled. "I'm so glad that I met you"
Asenka had a very hurt look on her face until he said that. She just smiled widely. "I glad I met you too." she yawned. Then she had a nice idea. "Hey,do you wanna go to the beach? I've never been there, and I'm sort of curious."
He smiled. "The beach is fun, I love swimming!". Wow, he just met her and they already had so much in commen. He smiled. "Oh and here, have some money and buy whatever you wan't!" he laughed.
Asenka took the money and thanked him. She went and bought a drink incase she got thirsty down there. Since she had never actually been to the beach, she didn't know if they had drink stands.. Or if they were even open this late. "I.. DonÂ’t know the way." she said sheepishly. "Maybe you could lead me there."
He smiled. He took her hand and they walked down the streets. They came to a long stretch of land, followed by water. It was beautiful. The moonlight glistened overtop. It was pretty late so nobuddy was on the beach. Khodac smiled. He took her down to the shore. "This is the beach" he said. He bent over and picked up a seashell from the ground. It was shiny, and white. "And this, is as beautiful as you right now" he said handing it to her. The tide came in just at there feet, which is where Khodac was staring.
Asenka looked at her feet when he handed her the shell and blushed silver. She noticed the tide hit them and had a feeling that Khodac had seen it too. She shivered a bit. The water was sort of cold, but in a refreshing way. She dug her feet into the sand and sat down and stared out at moon and the reflection it was giving off on the water. She fixed her skirt so she could sit with her legs out to one side of her,and let the cold water hit her legs. It felt just as good in person as she thought it would when she had seen it on television.
He smiled and sat down next to her, his pant's getting soaked by the water. He put his arm around her. The moonlight glistened on the water.
Asenka rested her head on his shoulder again. He had really soft fur. It made her want to fall asleep where she sat. But she didn't. She just sat there and looked at the moon's reflection in his eyes. She looked back out at the water. "It's beautiful isn't it?" she said with a shiver in her voice. The water was up to her waist now, but she didn't care. She was just glad to be sitting here with him. She could see Gids and hear Halgvolrauts splashing around way out in the water. She liked it here.
She kissed him back and did her best to control her shivering. She was beginning to wish she had worn pants now. Then again,Khodac was just as wet,so he was probably cold too. She almost wanted to swim, but she had heard of some weird things living in the water..It scared her to think of what might happen if she ran into the things from the stories she had heard.
He smiled. "Do you wan't to go swimming, or are you too cold" he asked. He saw her shivering. "Wait here, one second". He grabbed some of the wet money out of his pocket and ran up to the nearest store. He ran inside, grabbed a blanket and threw the cash on table, then ran back down. "Here"
She scooted closer to him under the blanket. "T-thanks. I'd love to go swimming." ,she said, hiding the fact the people who had kept her while she was traveling in the past had told of others in the village going into the water and not coming back. But she put that out of her mind. Khodac would never let anything happen to her. She stood up and wrung out her skirt. She then stopped, since it wasn't going to do any good if they were going swimming anyway. She picked up the blanket and folded it neatly far enough up where the tide couldn't reach it,and walked into the water. The drop off caught her off guard, and she went under and came back up sputtering and gasping for air. She shook the water out of her ears. She usually tested for these things before just jumping in. "Oh well.." she thought.
Khodac jumped in with her. He started swiming next to her. He smiled then swam back to shore. He slumped down on the beach, his body covered in sand.
