Pendzez smiled while handing her the ticket. "Ok then" He looked down the library. "Now was there a book that you wanted to show me."
Jynx perked up, a dazzling smile crossing her face. "Oh, yeah! Come on." She turned, moving quickly through the shelves of books toward the back wall once more.
As Jynx turned to lead Pendzez to this "book" that she wanted to show him, Pendzez followed her along the wall to the shelf. They eventually came to a stop.
Jynx ran her fingers along the spines of the books, searching. Finally, she pulled a thick, leather-bound volume off the shelf, turning to Pendzez with a smile. "It's my Vuneli Sjaa Book. I've got other 'dragons, too." She held the book in both hands, balancing it lightly.
Pendzez examined the book that Jynx was holding. A book of her ancestors. "This book has the name of your Ancestors?"
Jynx nodded, holding the book out to him. "It took me forever to track down, once I found out I had one."
She had a living ancestor? The thought ran through Pendzez's head. "Really? Might I ask, Who?" The curiousity can back to his face.
Pendzez was the one confused. He thought she heard him. "Well, you that it took you forever to track down ancestor when you found you you had one."
"Oh! No, I meant the book took forever to track down." She explained, smiling brightly. "I haven't had a chance to research names."
A misunderstanding, it was. Pendzez thought she had a living relative that was still alive. "Oh, sorry"
Pendzez gave a smile before looking at the page that Jynx opened. Besides from him and his sister, there was a few family member that Pendzez new that was still alive. Joachim Zazkex, his uncle and his father's younger brother, Frylia Godewa, his aunt and his mother's older sister and that was about it. "So many." One caught his eye and had to ask. "Who's that?"
"Uthal Lironiana. She was a treasure hunter when she was alive. Kind of like you." Jynx looked up, eyes shining.
Pendzez studied the Pendragon that he point at. "Was she your mother?" He studied Uthal Lironiana again. Jynx looked like her.
Jynx shrugged, frowning slightly. "I don't know who my parents are. I was too young when we ran away." She replied.
That was sad to Pendzez's ears, but when he heard ran away, that made him remember about his father. Pendzez always if he ran away from him and Flayra and his mother. "You and your brother ran away from home?"
Jynx nodded, trying to remember the story. "I was...three, I think. Amaroq says our parents were getting a divorce, and he didn't want to be seperated from me, so we ran away. We've been doing ok without them."
That was both a sad and a sort of an ok story. "Ok then. My parents are dead. My father disappeared three years ago, went on a treasure hunt and never came back. The Olsenu classed him as MIA, meaning Missing In Action, but mainly means they're dead. My mother died one year later. Got ill." It was sad story to Pendzez. He said the same to Flayra, but she couldn't take it.
Jynx quieted, not sure what to say. His story was much sadder than hers. Her eyes watered and she swallowed, her grip loosening on the book. "I'm...I'm sorry." She said softly, not sure what else she could say.
