Hey, m'name's Mack. I only recently joined. I'm finding this place rather hospitable and I think I might linger a little while here. I'm an artist and a writer IRL and I play the guitar. I'm currently looking for someone to RP with here.
Sadly, I'm on RP Hiatus. (I usually am, but I'm quite the lurker mod so if you ever need anything you can ask me =p) But welcome to RaL, It seems you're already into contributing to the world. Welcome!
:3 I may be interested. I'm an artist and poet, and I play guitar, too, IRL. -showers in confetti- You need anything, you ask.
Hello all, not exsactally "new" due to the fact that I created this account quite a while ago..And completelly(sp?) forgot about it *slaps himself.*..But anywho, how have ya'll been doing?
Pretty busy. Essay here, homework there, and a game project in between. Life's pretty good. Welcome to the steakhouse, Sage.
After being here for a couple years, I've managed to make writing essays enjoyable to myself. If I sit down and try, I will amuse myself. The hardest part about writing an essy for me, is actually sitting down and getting to it. You don't become a professional procrastinator by doing nothing y'know.
Meh, I only enjoy essays if im writing about something that I actually care about..Unfortunatly, all the essays that have ever been assigned to me where about topics that I honestly dont give a rats ass in hell about.
Ha ha! That's the thing. Almost all my essays are generally uninteresting. I mean, really, I"m in college and I'm still reading Romeo and Juliet. I mean, seriously, when does it end? The thing is, it doesn't. You have to look at your assignments and make yourself enjoy the topic. It works. I mean, if you put attempt to put interest in whatever your English or History teachers talk about, you'll naturally form your own opinions and ideas about it. Never look at it and think "This is stupid/pointless. I'll never use this outside in real life." English class isn't teaching you how to read/write. It's about opening your mind to different ideas, molding your creativity into something larger. English is art class with words. It's abstract. That's why I always loved English class. I can discuss things that has nothing to do with the real, natural world, get into the minds of people that wrote their own, and bend the minds of others with my own opinions. It also gave me an excuse to be overly dramatic when we had to write monologues or speeches. I put the preacher voice on and you have no choice but to listen to what I have to say.
*bows* Thank you. Then again... all my teachers were generally awesome. I remember we had a Vocab Quiz on March 14th and where it said Date _______, I wrote the pi Symbol (3.14 haha, sillly humor). My teacher gave me +3.14 points on the quiz. 13.14/10. How do you manage that?
*Hangs a reserved sign around ArcticKiba's neck* Mwahaha, you just wait until Morichai gets back here ;) Great to have you on board ^^
Honestly, the only class I have EVER taken interest in is History, and as for English being an art class with words? Thats a matter of opinion. But anyways, lets change the subject, I dont really like talking about school work on the weekend.
