1. The new found power was difficult for Fautal to control. He had to use every ounce of willpower to use the power of this demon to his advantage. Fautal was now aware that Xavius knew what he was doing. He sensed the objects that were being thrown in his direction. Fautal knew that if any one of them hit it's mark he'd be done for. Fautal tried as hard as he could to either stop the projectiles or use a barrier to block them. He decided his best bet was to make a barrier. Fautal then cast a barrier to stop them, he only succeeded in slowing them down. One of them was still going fast enough to puncture Fautal somewhat. Fautal yelled out in pain, he didn't want to be captured by this arden because there was no telling what he would do to him. He shrugged off the pain and kept going. Fautal was now running up the long corridor to try and get out into the open wilderness where he had at least some chance of escape.

2. "Leaving? And so early in the night? Come now, we haven't even had our second cup of tea!" Xavius called out as he cast yet another barrage of dark missiles. He was now moving swiftly toward the possessed Fautal. And how was he planning on leaving the corridor? The wall of black flames still blocked Fautals escape. Even if he could run through them quick enough, more then likley he would burnt and drained. Xavius could feel his leg injury starting to arise and his anger along with it. Fautal would not get away.
"What do you think about misuseing the darkness now? Do you truly believe the dark is deffensive in nature. Are you really such an imbecile, that you think you can hide behind The Nothing for protection?" He called out as he walked darkly towards Fautal.

3. Fautal's fatigue was immense he was losing control over the demon. Soon the demon that was inside him had more control over Fautal's body than he did. Though Fautal saw the wall of black in front of him he could do almost nothing to stop this demon. It was intent on going straight through it to get out. He kept screaming in his mind NO! NO! NO! It seemed to have no effect it kept on running. When he reached it the demon caused Fautal to do a quick sprint through it. When he got to the other side. He was screaming in his mind with pain, but it wasn't enough to make him go unconcious. If it had the demon would leave Fautal's body and he'd be trapped in that place with that hellish arden. Fautal was now exhausted but the demon caused him to press on forward. Fautal's clothing was now burned in a lot of areas and he had many gashes and cuts acrossed his body because of the spells that had been cast on him from Xavius. The wounds were more exagerated with the demon inside Fautal. It was shear agony.

4. Xavius raised an eyebrow, which was a completley hidden movement behind the white mask. Fautal should have fallen from the fire, the demon in him was strong and somehow kept him going forward. Miraciously the black spears Xavius kept hurtling towards Fautal were just barley hitting their mark. Xavius was sure the demon was useing its power to protect its worldly foothold. The footsteps of the Maimed soldiers were finally starting to ring through the halls, unfortunatly they were behind Xavius. Too far behind. Fautal was nearlly at the stairs to the outside.
"Enough of this."
Xavius's leg was burning now, it always seemed to pick the most inconvienient times. His form turned to shadow and disapated as he stepped from the dark at the end of the hall. Stepping out infront of the exit, and beginning to walk towards Fautal, sword drawn and cloak flapping behind him. This young arden was to be a rug on a wall.

5. "Two can play at this game!" Fautal said. Though it was not Fautal speaking, it was the demon that was controlling him. He then dissipated the same way that Xavius had and he appeared behind him and continued out of Xavius' home and into the open swamp. The demon had to make sure to get Fautal to a spot in which he could recover and get away from Xavius and his henchmen. Fautal was almost to the breaking point but he wanted to do the same thing as the demon did.

6. Fautal was running up the stairs, practically in the swamps. That wouldn't save him, his Maimed would tear the swamp lands apart to find Fautal. Xavius grabbed the edge of his cape and flipped it infront of him sending a wave of dark energies, fatal to the touch. His whole body burned from the spells he had been throwing through out his home. But he would and could still go on, the pain was nothing, it mattered not. When Xavius finally caught up to his guest he would tare him apart, slower then any other patient he had ever treated before. Tonight would be filled with screams.

7. Fautal hoped to get out of the arden's home and into the swamps before that wave hit him. He ran as fast as he could and the wave got closer and closer. Fautal ran as hard as his fatigued body could take him, he was almost there. The wave was closing in on him faster than he'd like. Fautal finally got out of Xavius' dark home and continued running on. He knew this was not yet over. He ran far out into the swamps making sure to take every turn while at the same time keeping the course that he had set earlier to be sure to get somewhere where he could find a healer or a place he could rest. Fautal didn't care where he got to, as long as it was safe.

8. Xavius's entire leg throbbed, the old injury was fully awake and causing pain. Were it not for his cane he might not be walking at all. Xavius cursed the burglar who had scarred him so long ago once again, and hate flooded in for the world once more. His anger was now rocketing towards the tip top of his very being with no sign of stopping even there. He was nearly at the top of the stairs now and the sound of the Maimed were close behind him. As he hobbled out into the night he could neither see nor hear any sign of Fautal being close by. His hatred, his anger was now bubbling in his throat. The pain was subsiding to his anger, so great was it now. The Maimed ran out and started searching the immediate area. One of the higher ranking Maimed stood beside Xavius barking orders. Xavius reared on his officer and grabbed him by the throat bringing him close to his mask.
"Not here! He is not here! Spread out and find him damn you. Out there! Find him or I will have your beating putrescent heart!"
He practically threw down the Maimed soldier. Fear filled the soldier's eyes and he sprawled to the ground. The soldier scrambled to his feet and started yelling at the others quickly forming search parties and heading out into the swamps. Xavius glared after him in silent fury. It felt like the air around him burned in anger. He knew Fautal had gotten away, had escaped his grasp. This was not defeat, this was a set back. Well played on his opponents behalf, but this was not the end. He would still be the death of the young arden. He would find him and whatever friends or family he had. Fautal and his kin were, as of now, a hunted breed. The anger was erupting forth from his dark soul now. The pain was gone, there was only hate. With the wind wiping his cloak about Xavius tilted back his head and roared into the swampy night. As he did so the pipe organ within his lair began to blare in unison.

9. OOC: Complete! Hope to have some more threads again with you!

IC:
Fautal was finally out of there. The demon that was with him had left his body. Now the full realization of the injuries he sustained were there. He had to stop himself from just screaming out in pain. Fautal thanked the gods that he was able to make it out of there alive. Though his condition wasn't the best it could have been. He had several gashes along his body which were just barely closing up. Fautal hobbled as far as he could before finally thinking that he was far enough away from Xavius' home to be safe enough to rest and regain strength to get back to where he was staying. Then he'd go somewhere remote, away from here, to start practicing his dark magic again. He had plenty of supplies to do so and the know-how to survive off of the land in most any area due to his work in the field. Several thoughts flashed through his mind, mostly of his battle with Xavius. He then made a silent oath to himself that he'd eventually be able to come back, or if he met Xavius again, he'd do all in his power to destroy him.
