<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>Aww nuts, and I was hoping to get some kind of subliminal answer to it... lol u said toaster. You did must've done some hw on Koj I see.</td></tr></table> IC-icle: |Heh, this is gonna be easier than I... wait a minute... did she say t-t-to-toaster? toast-er? That's what she wants? I'd make her a toaster even if I won. I LOVE TOASTER MAKING! Errahh... focus! You can't lose your pretty secretary for a toaster.... and the toast... and its.. warm... crumby... goodness.... AHH SHUTUP!| Koj had a slighht twitch in his eye. That meant he was telling the voices in his head to shutup and they wouldn't listen. Of course they wouldn't. Koj was the toaster guru. He loved toasters. The wires and coils. The heat from the electricity, the popping up of the toast. Yes that's it. It was mainly because he loved toast. Toast was like the right hand of God. And toast can't be completed without jam. Lots and lots of jam... Jam dripping off the bread like a fountain of stickyness. Especially strawber... |I SAID SHUTUP!!!| Oh sorry... <span style='color:green'>"Hmph. Ok, I'll make you a toaster. I'll even make Sage a toaster. A darn good one too. But then again, that might not happen, Ms. Secretary of KG Industries. |That -really- needs a better name. That can be her first job as secretary...| So..." </span> Koj lined himself up right next to her. He tried to make his height as intimidating as her wings. <span style='color:green'>"... you ready to lose? |Oh god... I just remembered... Crap... Can't back out now though..|" </span> He streched his arms out, then tilted his head left and right. He was gonna lose horribly. Ah well, it's the effort that counts. He drifted down lower so they were shoulder to shoulder with each other. <span style='color:green'>" I'll let you count it off. |There goes my secretary... none for me. At least it'll be fun making a toaster. Maybe I can make a secretary toaster. Mmm.. toast every 15 minutes... I am such a genius...|"</span>
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>thats must have beel a fluke cause toaster was the first appliance that came to mind, well there was waffel iron but Rom can barely cook toast as it is let alone waffles</td></tr></table> Rom looked studied him for a few moments. Then a mischievous smile came across her face as she though, this would be interesting. <span style='color:purple'>All right I will count it down</span>. Rom took a few deep breaths and moved in to a position that looked to be more aerodynamic, or at least it felt that way. She did the whole big fight crack her knuckles and roll her neck move, during her stay in the city while everyone else was at work or school she watched every movie imaginable and knew all the signature moves and catch phrases to most of the classics. <span style='color:purple'>Ok ready? On your marks, get setÂ…Â…Â….GO.</span> Rom practically screamed the word and took off with a few strong beats of her massive wings.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>Yeah, but toasters are so much more fun.</td></tr></table> He watched her as she streched | O god. O god. O god. I'm gonna die.. or lose. Dying sounds better. She looked ready. The slowly rising sun glazed passed her hair. It gave it a pretty bright shine, almost like a halo. Very sexy. |"I have to do it. I gotta. I'm gonna win! Confidence! woohoo! Let's just hope it holds up.."| Ok ready? Of course he was. He rolled his shoulders back, tilted his head up, and looked to the mountain. The more he worried about it, the farther it seemed to be. But he wasn't worrying anymore. It was too far to worry about. On your marks, He moved his wings more, his nerves were pricking at his skin. Soon, Koj began to think that he should've counted off. Then again. how would that help? get setÂ…Â…Â…. NO pressure. Just a LOT of stress... He looked back at Sage, who seemed to be having a fun time watching them. Lucky him. GO. She got a half second headstart. Oh well, it didn't bother him that much. He took off to right behind her. <span style='color:green'>|Damn, she's fast... </span> he thought as she quickly sped past him. First, they were about an inch apart. A few seconds later his head was at her shoulders. A while longer, Koj was at her hip. <span style='color:green'>| No, come back here so you can lose! Pleeeease...|</span> But Koj had something more imporant bothering him. Something that he never took the time to realize. Something that all the gadgets in the world couldn't fix... <span style='color:green'>| I... I... AHHH... I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FLY!!!|</span> And with that thought, he kept moving slower. It was easy to see in his movements. He was shaking and twisting throughout the whole thing. He flailed his arms like he was drowning in the sky. <span style='color:green'>|I.. I'm getting there... </span> Of course she was waaaaaay ahead of him by now, so he stopped trying as hard. Actually, he just stopped. He fluttered in mid-air and watched her gracefully get closer to the finish-line. Koj sighed. <span style='color:green'>That was so unfair, uncool, and unfun. Well, time to pull out the gloves, and make a couple of toasters.</span> He scratched his head and moved forward slower. <span style='color:green'>I hope she doesn't brag about it... That wouldn't be fun either.</span>
Sage started cleaning his feathers as they took off, he blinked and tryed not to bust out laughing as he saw Koj slow down to a stop, "Should if learnt how to fly first.."he mumbled to himself and went back to minding his own business.
After the first few initial flaps brought her a substantial lead she slowed down a little bit, then a bit slower when she realized he wasnÂ’t beside her still then she just stopped when she couldnÂ’t hear his breathing anymore. She stopped and looked behind her at his face. And flew back so she was beside him, <span style='color:purple'>You know the sun isnÂ’t going to wait for us to get up there right? And if we keep going at this pace weÂ’ll never make it to see the sun rise. </span>
At this pace? He wasn't really that close to the point he was looking for, but he was getting there. <span style='color:green'>I.. I guess out of all my preparing... I forgot I didn't know how to fly. Never did get the chance to use my real ones. Amputated, because of some weird virus going through my bloodline. A lot of pendragons envy ones like you. Wings. Real ones at that.. You're one lucky girl. </span> He floated forward slowly, trying not to tilt his body too much. He moved his feet like he was walking across a thin rope at the circus. Koj turned around and looked at her. <span style='color:green'>"Well. Let's go. The sun isn't up just yet. We could still make it. Well, you could anyway." </span> He still didn't think he could move fast enough to get there. He turned back around and made his way. Flying normally, just slow. |Better this than nothing...|
Rom looked at him a bit. <span style='color:purple'>Here I will help you. Instead of those small little flaps use less more powerful one</span>. With a small demonstration she moves a few passes a head of him then stops. <span style='color:purple'>Now you try, it really not all that hard if you think about it, its like riding a bike? </span>She had heard some one use that phrase before, she didnÂ’t understand what it meant, she had never tried to ride a bike so it might be harder then it sounds. She should really do some research and figure out what exactly a bike was and how you rode it. <span style='color:purple'>Common , your only allowed to use three flaps and you have to make it to me alright?</span>
|Riding a bike, eh?| Koj had a bike at home. It was the closest thing to flying when he was little. You never forget that feeling. You never forget to ride a bike. Strange, how it's the hardest thing to teach someone. <span style='color:green'>"Sure. Bike. Three flaps. Got it. I'm amazed you even have a bike. BIkes are like, for the poor kids who get their kicks from moving fast on theground. Which is why I had one.</span> He talked as he flew one flap. It got his mind off of thinking 'Am I doing this right?' Now he flapped his wings like he was rowing a boat, rather than having a nerd slapboxing contest. <span style='color:green'>"Then again, it is a pretty famous thing to say. Some pendragons say it, and they don't know how to spell bike.</span> Second flap. Pretty close there. Rom was almost in touching range. He did it again, and made it close but not all the way. She was in 'annoying-poke-attack' range. <span style='color:green'>"And if you want, I could teach you to ride a bike. If you're one of those people who don't even know what it is, anyway.</span> He flew a bit more past her. Then around her. Then down and up again. He began to get the feeling that if his mom was around she would tell him 'Don't fly 20 minutes after eating ok? You'll get sick and toss your cookies on anything under you. And if you do anyway, just hope they can't fly too'. He loved his mom's quotes. You could use them in almost any situation. He flew up towards Rom again. <span style='color:green'>"Thanks. I never thought something like that would be a problem. </span> He looked back to the sun. uh oh. It was getting up fast. <span style='color:green'>"C'mon! It's not gonna wait for us, y'know. Let's go!"</span> He sped off towards the mountain again, the right way. The race 'technically' wasn't over, but he wanted to make her a toaster anyway.
Rom began after Koj at a slower pace to match his so she didnÂ’t get too much of a head start. She was proud though because slowly but surely he was betting better, his form less awkward as he realized where the hair was hitting harder and making it more aerodynamic, before she knew it they had reached the mountains edge. <span style='color:purple'> Alright just a little more now, but gently you want to make a smooth landing.</span>
<span style='color:green'>"Umm... okay."</span> He moved a bit closer to the mountain and lowered down slowly. It was kinda weird since he was upright and he was lowering himself down with no platform under him. He still managed to do it. <span style='color:green'>"This is really... awkward.</span> The morning wind moved between his toes, and morning wind is cold. Closer and closer he got to the rocky terrain, until he actually reached it. He almost tripped on a rock, but Rom was there to lend a hand, or at least a shoulder to lean on. <span style='color:green'>"Thanks for the help. I appreciate it. I guess that's another thing to consider before selling any of these. So... we're here."</span>
<span style='color:purple'>Yes we are, and I have to admit it was well worth it. </span>Rom smiled at Koj then motioned to the rising sun, it was half exposed by this time. The sky had become a more intense colour with a bit of orange high lights. Tired from the fly she sat down hanging her feet over the edge and motioned for him to sit beside her. <span style='color:purple'> Sooo technacially I won, but what about this. I get my toaster and you get your secrascary? So everyone wins?</span>
<span style='color:green'>"Don't worry about it. I don't really need a secretary. Not yet, anyway. But when I do, I'll find you. And yes, I'll make you a toaster. With laser beams, if you want. I doubt you would though. "</span> He sat looking at the sun. The horizon was pretty. As pretty as the food Koj's mom used to make on the sixth day of the week. Always nice, warm, comforting, and leaves a nice feeling in your stomach for hours. It's a good thing she stressed him on how to cook, as boring as it was learning to do it. A combination of that thought and his strangely loud stomach reminded him of something. <span style='color:green'>"Hey, are you... hungry? I haven't eaten since.. well, since I started to make this."</span>
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>sorry posts are soo short my brain is kinda frazzled at the moment</td></tr></table> Rom hadn't though about food yet, but just as he finished his sentance it was clear her stomach was as it let out an enormis rumble. She giggled at it a bit and shrugged. <span style='color:purple'>I hadn't really thought of it before now, but i geuss food couldnt hurt</span>.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>Mental Burnout. It happens. </td></tr></table> <span style='color:green'>" I don't think you have to say anything. Our stomachs speak the same language. According to my translator, it's saying "FEED ME OR I'LL LEAK ACID INTO YOUR BODY!" Well, something along those lines. So, just what could we eat?</span> He looked ack over at the sun. Strangely it wasn't the only thing sparkling. SOmething on the ground had reflected light, very brightly. And it was irritating. That's it! A river. Abundantly filled with fish, right by a mountain. Mountains also meant wildlife. There should be lots of delicious things to eat around here. All it would need is some spices. Mmm.. if only mom was here. It would be just like home. <span style='color:green'>" So, you like.. seafood? Or would you rather go grab some kind of four-legged fauna in the woods? Your call.</span>
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>its weird if i am out anmd had a kick ass day my brain NEVER WORKS</td></tr></table> Rom watched the sun for a few moments thinking about her choices. Then looked up to him standing up herself. <span style='color:purple'> Fish sounds good, you think you can make it all the way over there? </span> She smiled as she teased him a bit, stretching her wings a bit to show off.
<span style='color:green'>"Heh. Don't worry about it. I'm a really fast learner. Besides.. the wind will help me dry off a bit."</span><span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>gonna edit this soon..</td></tr></table>
Rom giggled at his comment a bit then looked down at her own sopping we appeeral and hair. I geuss i could use a quick drying off myself. she started on her way then turned around to make sure he was still beside her
<span style='color:green'>"Then to the river with us!"</span> He jumped and glided across the wind. It was easier to glide than to fly, especially when a 'Glide' function is built-in. He turned over to glide backwards. <span style='color:green'>"C'mon, the slower we go, the more fish that pass by." </span>
"Wow your just showing off now" Rom said with a chuckle as she did a back flip in the air and then began to pick up speed headed towards the river. "i havnt had fresh fish in the longest time"
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>We're up to the 39th post and still no second page... weird Sorry for being away.. had school.</td></tr></table> He scurried across the floor chasing an acorn. When he obtained it, he swiftly bit into it, like a cobra with rabies. He nibbled on it, eating the good parts on the inside. After the acorn was eaten he tossed it to the floor. He looked up and saw a large object fall into the river. A large splash followed.. SPLASH! All over him! He then scurried up his tree, sogging wet, saying numerous swears that only squirrels would know. But that was the squirrel. Koj had still been moving backwards watching as she did a flip. <span style='color:green'>"Well, aren't you the skilled one,"</span> he said.<span style='color:green'>Try doing this!"</span> He attempted to do ... something. But whatever it was he couldn't do it. He had been flying downwards, backwards, with a piece of steel on his back. He couldn't really turn around that easily, let alone stop. So he kept going... and going.. and going.. and... SPLASH!!! Into the river with him. Fishies floated past him. Past his legs, arms, down his pants... <span style='color:green'>"AHHH!"</span> he glubbed from underwater. He came back up onto the ground, wriggling his pants, laughing at the same time. He danced his little jig until a fish came lfapping out onto the ground and found its way back to the river. Koj felt violated. <span style='color:green'>"All the more reason to kill it..."</span> He wondered how that fish would taste if he caught the same one.<span style='color:green'>"Let's just hope that doesn't happen. That's almost like ... eww... What if... she found the fish? ... EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!"</span>
