Hadara smiled, and almost laughed with delight at the male's response. His comical, light, almost easygoing attitude seemed strangely charming, she had to admit. Silently, of coarse. She nodded once to him, padded forward a few steps, then slowed, glancing backwards, asking Aurora silently if she wanted to come. Then, figuring that if she wanted to, she would follow, Hadara turned and trailed after Rallyn again.
He trotted ahead, hearinf the light treading of Hadara behind him and some sound that could, but didn't need to, be Aurora's footsteps. Leading the way throigh mazes of creaky stairs and grey stone, they finally emerged from the gloom of the underground into the alarming brightness of the autumn day. Rallyn squinted into the sun as he stopped just outside the door, warming up for a moment. Then he turned to Hadar and pointed in a general direction. OOC: haven't time for more now, have to go to bed.
(ooc: OOPS!! I forgot to check back here for replies sry for being inactive here... ) Aurora ran to catch up with Hadara and Rayllen. She looked up at Hadara "Can I come too?" She licked her lips at the thought of ice cold vanilla ice cream touching her tongue. (ooc: hah, my favorite ice cream happens to vanilla, on the list of the most plain flavoured ice creams it'd probably be at the top)
(( OOC- It's okay, I was kind of waiting for you, but you're here now so everything's just fine ^_^ I like vanilla too! Yummm... )) Hadara looked back over her shoulder, smiling brightly when she saw that the younger femme had decided to come. "Sure, why not?"She could see how Aurore was thinking about ice-cream, and she had to admit, she too was sort of excited about having a treat for once...
Aurora smiled. Being with Rallyn and Hadara reminded her of her life before tragity struck her family, when her parents would take her out for ice cream.
He glanced back and was rather glad to see the young Pendragon join them. He was beginning to be rather fond of these two... Smiling, he led the way through the yard of the Academy, then through a maze of narrow streets. Turning into a broader lane, he stopped in front of a small, yet neat-looking shop window. There was a small display on sweets and sugary stuff in it, and next to it - there was an open window, in which a Pendragon stood, an ice-cream spoon in his paw and many flavours of the icy goodness in a freezing box beside him. He smiled broadly at the three students. "What will it be?" came the question. Rallyn turned around to Hadara and Aurora. "What flavour would you like?" he asked, only mimicking the ice cream-seller's request.
Aurora followed Rallyn and Hadara through the streets, getting ever dizzier as they turned and turned at every possible angle. She shook her head, finding they had finally reach the place. She dashed up to the window, staring at the treats in delight We came here for ice cream Aurora, it'd be rude to ask for something else! Aurora then went over to the ice cream and scanned each flavour, flinching at the sight of light green ice cream that appeared to be mint flavored. "Can I have a vanilla ice cream cone with a sugar cone?" Aurora blinked at Rallyn.
Feeling a bit embarassed now at Rallyn's generousity in buying them treats, Hadara smiled softly, blushing just slightly as she looked over the different flavors. Both ears went back in a thoughtful look, then she nodded. "Would strawberry be alright?" she asked quietly. The cold autumn wind was ruffling her cream-colored fur, but despite the cold she was still looking forward to the icy treat...
He beamed at them, turning towards the ole' Pendragon once again. "So it'll be one vanilla and sugar, one strawberry and one... err..." he paused gazing over the flavours. "One mint, thank you." As the shopkeeper scooped up general doses of icecream and handed them to his customers, Rallyn fished out some gems and coins that - even though there was actually no currency in Ramath-lehi and Pendragons generally bartered with each other - were used by all inhabitants of larger cities. Come to think of it, it was the only way it could work. How can you trade one large, handmade vase or a hand-skinned animal for a couple of drinks or food?
Aurora took her cone, a wide smile spread across her face. "Thank you!" She started lapping up the ice cream happily.
Hadara, too took her ice cream, licking it with the tip of her tongue. "mmmmm..." She closed her eyes for a moment, savoring the taste. "Thank you." she said to Rallyn when she opened her eyes again. She eyed Rallyn's cone. "I like mint and vanilla, but I havn't had strawberry in a while so I decided it was about time for another try. I forgot how good it is..." She took another lick at her cone.
Aurora fell to the ground suddenly. "Urgh.. brain freeze!" she rubbed her head with her right paw and held her cone with the left. (the ultimate head ache... hate brain freeze...)
"Wow, careful!" he helped Aurora up. "I've had a smaller head freeze right now too, but it was smaller. Gawd, I hate them! I mean, your head has no right to hurt when you are eating something good." Then, to Hadara: "It's a pleasure to invite two pendragonesses like you and Aurora. I actually don't like strawberry much, but vanilla is ok. I guess I don't like the pinkish taste of strawberry." He leanes against the wall and watched the clouds roll by, high and white against the blue autumny sky.
Aurora shook herself out of the brain freeze. "How can you have a small brain freeze? They are always big..." She continued eating her ice cream, slowing down a bit so she didn't get another brain freeze.
She too, rushed forward to help Aurora, but the younger femme was already being helped up when she reached her. She smiled at Rallyn. "Well, I can understand that. Mint was actually going to be my choice, but I almost always get that flavor, so today I wanted something different." She looked up at the sky as well, this time biting off just a bit of the top of her icecream instead of licking it. She handled it carefully on her tongue, melting just enough of it so that when she swallowed, she wouldn't get brainfreeze. She was actually pretty cold right now, but she wasn't really bothered by it, and she sure as heck wasn't going to stop eating her ice-cream just because it was a little chilly.
Aurora stared at the sky as well "Umm... What are we looking at?" She blinked.
"Well, enough small for it to hurt only a couple of seconds," he answered. "And I don't know what I'm looking at exactly... I guess just at the clouds. Anyway, we can't just stand here, or we'll freeze to death!" Undoubtedly, Rallyn was feeling a little chilly too. "Where would you like to go? Or what would you enjoy doing now?" he asked cheerfully.
"Well, umm..." She paused, blushing again. "I..don't really know. I haven't...ever been to a place like this before..." She looked around, down the street. "What kind of things do you like to do?" she asked, turning the question back on him.
"The park! The park!" Aurora suddenly found herself jumping up and down. "I want to go to the park!"
"The park? I don't really know how to get there..." he retorned slowly, the admitting of not knowing something causing him some difficulties. "But if you know the way, why not? It won't be dark until seven o'clock or sometime like that." Hadara's question sent him thinking. What did he like doing, actually? Reading? Tracking? Meditating and then harnessing the elements? Rubbish. He hasn't even started those trades, not properly anyway. Rallyn didn't know what to reply, for the first time in his life. Kicking a pebble, he muttered something and pretended he didn't hear the question. It was very rude indeed, but he had to have a think about it before doing anything else. It's strange how such an innocent question can make one lost for words.
