Their words didn't frighten him. He knew they weren't actually going to do anything to him, he wasn't going to let them even if they tried. Throughout his growing years, Diable had learned patience. He didn't move a muscle, nor did he blink. His eyes remained at their half open, cloudy allure due to his pain. The only movements he made were those breaths that were keeping him alive, and still leaving him to look unconscious. When that kick hit his side, he completely ignored the pain, that soon passed, anyway. They weren't gonna budge him. But his tail now felt as if their was no paw stepping down on it. When Yuin had kicked him, she had probably forgotten his tail. The muscles in his tail were numb, but with a little wag of the tip, he was sure it was free. Now was that one chance that might save him from further mutilation of himself by those worthless Pendragons that stood above him. If he wasn't quick and ready, he'd be knocked to the ground again unless he was really lucky. So, Diable, in a split second, rose to his feet and flew off, high into a nearby tree, and stared down at them. His long tail hung down from his branch, floating in the breeze. It would have been impossible for Yuin and Naraku to have caught him.
"Think you're clever, dont you?" Yuin called up to Diable. She sighed and looked at Naraku. "Sorry. I'd better go sort out this piece of crap again." Then she abruptly turned invisible. At the same time she heard Diable call down to her and then take off. She let out a roar of frustration as she rematierialized. She knew it was hopeless to pursie him. She might be able to catch him, but it would exhaust her, and in this harsh wilderness, that was never a good state to be in. She snarled her frustration at his retreating form. {I'll get you some day, you worthless piece of shit. And dont expect to live long after I do. Asshole. Son of a bitch. You just wait until I get my hands on you!} she blasted at him telepathically. She was shouting the same thing as loud as she could out loud too. It was rare that Yuin lost control, buit when she did, watch out! But as a general rule she was fairly even tempered, if grouchy and irritable. But now, after raging around some more, she finally let her normal, steel-calm self take over again and turned back to Naraku. She sighed again. "Piece of turd. But I'll deal with him later. Where were we...?"
NO, not this time. Diable clearly had seen Yuin turn invisible. Obviously, she's gonna come and attack him invisibly. No, he wasn't going to let her do that. He jumped off the branch so it looked like he was gonna go on the ground, but rather continued flying off, close to the ground, but extremely swiftly. "Those idiots can't live without their magic, can they? They just can't bear to live without attacking others being invisible. If they weren't unseen, they'd be pleading for mercy at my feet, with a giant, bloody gash in their side. So by being invisible, they think that after one encounter like that, I'll be stupid enough to think that after they're invisible, they've vanished completely. Hell no. I've learned from my mistakes, and this is one lesson that I won't forget." Diable screamed, flying away, "I'll be back, you can bet your hides on it!", until he vanished. The second Diable had seen Yuin become invisible, he remembered how horrible it is to be completely oblivious to your attacker's next move, so what could he do, but escape? Common sense.
"i thought you could handle it Yuin...YO DIABLE! IF YOU THINK YOU CAN BEAT US WHEN WE DONT USE MAGIC COME BACK HEAR!I WILL EVEN LET YOU ATTACK ME FIRST!dont worry Yuin, i have enough spell and technique to utterly defeat and kill him. then we can get to bussiness as planed"
"Just leave him," Yuin said in a bored tone of voice. "I shouldn't have lost my temper there. Its just that its been so long since I lost a prey that I forgot what it feels like. And it is an annoying blemish on my near-perfect record now." And she grinned engagingly. "Besides, the only reason I didnt kill him outright was that I got this weird sort of hunch that he could end up being useful and I shouldnt kill him right way. But you're right. He's more trouble than he's worth. If he does come back, I wont hesitate to kill him, but in the meantime, lets just leave him. With any luck, some of his wounds may become infected and cause him more pain than he already feels. Might even kill him if we get really lucky!" and she grinned maliciously. She was not usually malicious by nature, but Diable had roused the worst in her, she didnt know why. Perhaps because she knew instinctively how 'evil' he was, and something in her responded to that. But whatever it was, it was making her irritable now. But she forced herself to continue on in a lighthearted tone, "But Im rarely that lucky. But come, we're dallying," and she gave another one of her engaging grins, " and we should be getting to business. You were saying...?"
"before i get to what i was going to say, you will not kill him When he comes back, i will. and tp make a point i only cared about the winner and that was to. Okay, now that i am through with that i will get to the important thing. what will you work for? Magic to make to make you stronger or faster and the like of that. Or i could make you more beautiful if that is what you desire. Or do you just want to get paid?" Naraku then cracked a smile knowing that she would get poed at this commit
"Hmm...in magic. Definitely. How much, I'll see at the end. Depending on how hard a job it is. I'll also choose what type. But for the moment, in case you disappear before Im done, please make me stronger and more agile. It will help anyway for the job. But tell me, WHO do you want me to kill, anyway??" Yuin said.
"you want who?that will take a very, very long time to say so. Lets leave it at this, its a full time job. the list is way to long. are you sure you dont want to be more pritty?you need it."
Yuin growled under her breath. This guy was getting annoying. It caused her to raise her prices even higher. "Fine. I will except a payment, which I can choose, after each individual assassination, or else every 3 months if takes me longer than that. You are also responsible for my transportation to a location near your victim. If I choose not to kill a particular person on your list, that is my choice to make. I tell you right now, Im not getting involved with any highranking government officials. im not that desperate. In fact, Im doing just dandy here, thank you. So kindly stop insulting me else you go take your fart-face elsewhere. Take me or leave me."
"Yuin, i still want to hire you. and just to let you, you do not want me mad. you really do not want me mad" Naraku's flame virually explodes and eyes flash red."i agree to your requirements. And i was messing with you so i could read your mind."
Yuin snarled outright. "Fuck you. You havnt read my mind and I know it and you know it. But I dont want to work for some pathetic chump who makes his way with threats. If your as powerful as you claim, why are hiring me instead of doing your own dirty work!" Yuin yelled at him. It was all she could do to keep a grip on her temper. Before she lost it completely, she jumped telekineticly, simultaneously making herself invisible, to the top of her favorite branch, about a 1/4 mile from where Naraku was.
"that didnt go the way i planed" naraku says to himself "all i wanted was someone around. i do get loney sometimes, being evil and all. why do all females utterly dispise me?"naraku mubles something and blows up ten near by trees with one fireball"WHY?"
{Because you're a bastard and keep insulting them. You are rude and impolite. You dont know when too much is too much. That is why.} Yuin couldnt resist responding. After his comment about reading her mind, she hadnt been able to resist peeking into his thoughts. {And dont hurt the poor trees. How would you like it if some chump who lost his temper blew you up just for the hell of releasing steam?}
{thats for my image}naraku looked around and saw nothing.he cast a location spell and then casually walked over to her tree"i know you are there so undo that spell.sorry for being mean.thats how i usually am. so are you open for the job?"
"Maybe.", Yuin said, cooling off a bit, and undoing her invisibilty spells. She was lying on a thick branch about 10 feet into the air, in the manner of a leopard or cheetah, with her tail hanging down and swinging irritably. But before I agree to anything now Im going to keep by you for a while. How do I know that you werent showing your true self earlier, and are just putting on a nice mask now?" Then she blanked herself out again and moved to a different tree some 60 yards away. She was confident that he would be able to find her, but she wanted to keep him guessing and moving. Tire him out in case he decided to just kill her and be done with it. She had seen what happened when he lost his temper.
Naraku then a bit fast walked up to her tree. Then he pushed off the ground a bit and landed gracefully on the branch she was on."if you dont trust me go, search my brain. go ahead.i dont mind"
Yuin didnt do or say anything when he jumped onto her branch. She just made herself visible again. It felt strangely good to just sit quietly on the branch with him.
"so are you going to? i am letting you. and i was joking about the ugly thing. you are actually quite pritty"his vocabulary was quickly disappearing. he hated that when he liked someone.
She was tempted to say yes just to be able to stay in his company longer. He was fascinating, more so than anyone she had ever met before. Not that she had met many people before, mind. But suddenly she shook herself. What was happening to her? She growled softly at herself. What was happening to hre cold, precise, logical mind? So now she said to Naraku, slightly sharper than she intended, "I already told you. Maybe." Then she abruptly jumped off the branch. "I'm going hunting. Coming?" And then she took a long running leap into the tall grasses at the edge of the forest.
"Wait!i am not that fast without some magic ready."naraku cast a hasta spell and runs after her"wha you want to hunt?that inconciderate weakly from earlier or something else?or do you want me to get something and try to make some dinner?"{eventhought it would taste bad without the proper magic}
