Upon feeling the bowl against his lips, Fe'shi begins to sip on the potion slowly and winces a bit as he does. Places his paw on in as well and shook a bit as he continued to drink it down. After a few moments he finished the liquid then drawsh is paw back from the bowl slowly then lies his head back against the bed again, coughing lightly as he does. Opens his teared right eye as his vision comes back to him then looks over at his beautiful companion from so long back. Reaches his left paw out slowly and touches it to the side of her face and grins at her. "Shumc iyo, ni rauosevol umdal. E'n dlup sy raurla sy taa iyo uduem uvsaj ty numi nyymt." His words rolled off his tongue passionatly as he spoke them to her.
Her smile was soft and melted, like butter, as Fe'shi sipped the dregs of the concoction, and then left the bowl in her hands. She quickly put the dish on the ground beside the cot, and continued to beam at the male. Already, a healthy glow was returning to his eyes and cheeks, and for a few moments, Okkie briefly wondered why she hadn't gone into nursing or empathetic studies. But, alas, it was no matter - all she wanted and needed to think about was Fe'shi's well-being. When he spoke his piece in Ramathian, the young female could not help but blush at the reference of "angel". Though she was by no means fluent in the language, she understood it pretty well, and felt it was an obligation to reply as well as she could. "Es fut mys u gjyrlan, ni vjeamp. E hyga iyo vaal rassaj tyym, ty fa kum das yos yv shet pujcmatt ump das iyo emsy sha ledhs."
Fe'shi grins at her reaction to his little comment that he made about her and then nods slowly. Places a simple little kiss on the back of her paw and draws his paw back down from the side of his face slowly touching his maw all the way, to the tip of her nose then retracking his hand completely. Feelings of strong friendship/love burned deep within his eye as he looked at her. "Yes...the sooner I'm up and out of the darkness, the better." Closes his eye slightly and feels really relaxed as the potion give him peace. Licks his lips slowly and looks back to Okkie once more. "Iyo huba my epau hyf lymd E'ba raam fuesemd sy das sy taa iyo uduem. Ros myf shus iyo uja haja, Us lauts las ot nuca es luts vyj ut lymd ut gytterla." His voice continues to come out as it did when they first met.
The female couldn't help but feel flattered by his continued shows of affection. His words sang throughout her heart - it was a fair few that talked to her like he did. Theirs was a platonic relationship, but it certainly didn't lack enthusiasm and emotion. Okkie wanted to crawl up on the end of the bed and curl up at Fe'shi's feet, so strong were her feelings of friendship for him. Yet, she deemed that it would be unwise to do such. The male was probably stiff and sore, and he needed his space. "Heh... I can't speak much Ramathian, but I can understand you. And I'm equally as glad to see you," Okkie purred. "When I left you, I honestly didn't know whether we would ever see each other or not. I decided that if fate wanted us to see each other again, it would make sure we would. And look - we've come together again. Serendipity." A purling growl of admiration poured from her maw, and 'Kie nudged Fe'shi's elbow. She then turned her head sideways, to look at the doorway hung with a skin. Beyond it, she could see the faintest streaks of light pouring down through the tunnel. She'd been in this coop all night, and now day was breaking. The female turned back to peer at Fe'shi, and idly wondered if he'd be up to walking by early morning. It would do wonders for his rehabilitation to take a stroll in the sun alongside a friend.
Fe'shi licked his lips slowly and sighs softly looking from her for a short moment to the lump that was sleeping on the couch. Glares slightly at her and shakes his head a bit then looks back to Okkie. "Fate does have a funny way of making things happen." Laughs a bit and rests his eye shut for a moment. He leans close to her face and opens his eye fully then speaks whispers to her. "Are you tired...my lady? If you feel at all tired I can spare some of my bed for you to rest along side. If you was comfortable with that." Nips at the tip of her nose softly and smirks drawing his head back against the bed then lying down again.
"No, no. I'm fine. Believe me, I've stayed up longer than this before." But as if to betray her words, a languid yawn crawled up Okkie's throat, and her maw stretched wide. When she was able to click her teeth back together, she smiled sheepishly at Fe'shi, and lightly shrugged. She was tired, but didn't think it would be proper to fall asleep when the male needed to be under constant surveillance. "But you should get some rest. Afterwards, we can go for a walk outside. Unless you're already up to it? Either way is fine with me, of course."
Smirks and shakes his head a bit then turns back onto his back. Closes his eye slowly and relaxes against the somewhat soft bed. "Well, you can get yourself some sleep...I mean I'm not that bad off." Laughs a bit as he said then turns on his side away from her, waiting to see if she would go and get some rest for a few hours. A light feeling of tiredness comes over him slowly and causes Fe'shi to drift off into a light slumber. Wish there was someway that I could tell Okkie that I liked her more then a friend but how could I go about doing that? He said to himself as he slept.
As the sea-farer turned over to go to sleep, Okkie looked around the gloomy cave-room. Jakhal was still snoring away on the couch, and there was another empty cot next to Fe'shi's. The she-pendragon could curl up and get some sleep, but, despite her obvious exhaustion, she didn't want to take a siesta right now. Besides, there was something too pressing and menacing here in this dark cavern - she didn't think she could sleep in here even if she tried. So no sleep for me. Maybe I should take a short walk outside, 'Kie thought. She rose from her spot beside the male's bed, and traipsed towards the door. The lanky 'dragon slipped by the skin, and began to pad her way back towards sunlight and verve. It didn't take very long, and with every step, the air got warmer and fresher. Finally, Okkie emerged from the orifice of the cavern, and she tilted her cranium backwards so that her chocolate visage could drink in the early morning rays. "Mm... yes, this will definitely be good for Fe'shi. I'll wake him in an hour or so." Okkiebean reposed upon her haunches, and curled her tail 'round to rest on her forepaws. She spread her ivory wings a little, to allow each individual feather more space to 'breathe'. When she was settled and comfortable, the femme then began to murmur and yip towards the vast blue sky. Was it a prayer, a plea for Fe'shi's recovery? A song in thanksgiving for sunshine? Or was it some sort of secret devil's song, offered up on the bright morning air? Whatever it was, it was beautiful, and the youth continued to yip and howl softly at the squat, yellow sun.
Jakhal rolled off the couch and woke as she hit the ground. A snorl came from her nose as she did and looked about in the gloomy space of her cavern. Looked over towards the beds and noticed that the male was up on his side and sleeping peace fully. Smirked and looked to Okkie's bed and noticed that she wasn't in it. "Well, I guess she's an earlier bird." Jakhal rose up from the floor and shook her body slightly fully waking up. Sighs softly and looks about her cave then she wanders over to the skin then exits. Comes out in the bonfired room and looked about to see if she could find Okkie but just as she was about to call out for her, faint howling could be heard coming from the enterance into the cave. She smirks and heads up out of the cave into the morning light, closes her eyes slightly at the first rays and shakes her head a bit. But as her adjusted to the light of the sun she approached Okkie from behide then drops both of her paws on her tail then screaming "BOO!"
Her coyote-like muzzle pointed towards the breadth of everlasting blue, and Okkie sang and chirped and sighed. Her voice wasn't perfectly marvelous, but it was beautiful, and full of life. Her song would have poured out over the lonesome world for a long time, too, full of splendor and emotion, if it hadn't been for the sudden attack on her tail. The enraptured music was abruptly cut off, and as Okkie swung around, it was replaced by a hearty snarl and fierce eyes - eyes that fell upon a grinning and spritely Jakhal. "Don't do that!" The malignant sneer on her visage melted, but she still glared sternly at Jakhal. Okkie had already been tense, what with Fe'shi's health being in poor condition, and the other pendragon's prank hadn't been funny. And what was even less amusing, Jakhal had left the sick male... alone. "Did you leave Fe'shi down there, all alone? That's wicked stupid. What if he wakes up and thinks that I, that we, have abandoned him? That sure won't help his condition."
Jakhal looks back over at the cave and glares a bit then looks back to Okkie. She shakes her head slowly and walks pass Okkie with a cold look on her face. Stares at the ground as she passes her and goes down from the cave a bit. Stops and looks over her shoulder at Okkie. "Look, I know he means much to you and all, but he is nothing to me. Becides his is a big boy and can look after himself, no matter the condition, ya." Looks away from Okke and closes her eyes a bit as then her body begins to fade and become lighter then before. She can be seen through then vainishes completely. "If you worry that much about someone then how do you expect to survive in this world?" And with that said Jakhal is gone.
Okkie's nape prickled as Jakhal's carefree veneer melted off to be replaced by a cold and fierce demeanor. The caramel pendragon had - at first - thought that the other was a blithe 'dragon with a childish outlook on life. Now, she realized that her early hints of suspicion about ulterior personas were coming true. As Jakhal padded past 'Kie, the latter realized that the former wasn't all happiness and springy steps. She was an enigma, deceitful, untrue. When she faded out and vanished with her gruff words, Okkie thought it was like a symbol - from hospitable to despicable. She wouldn't look forward to meeting the careless, two-faced femme again. "Good riddance to you, Jakhal. You tricked me with your cheery nature, and you allowed me to come into your home. But you aren't just a polite and pleasant hostess. You're careless, and cold. You're right - Fe'shi does mean a lot to me, but my feeling will never hinder my survival. Let's hope we don't meet again - in the face of your lies, I might be tempted to hinder your livelihood." All this, Okkie said to thin air, her fur bristling with checked fury. She punctuated her diatribe with a shrieking growl, and then moodily swung 'round to face the cavern again. She didn't want to re-enter Jakhal's home - perhaps the other female would return, and trap her and Fe'shi inside? - but she had to retrieve her friend. I have to get him out. Now, preferably, the caramel youth said to herself as she reluctantly slunk back into the stony chambers. "Fe'shi? Fe'shi?" Okkie called as she neared the skin door. She used her teeth to rip the hide from the doorway - what did she care if she damaged Jakhal's home? "You need to get up. We need to get out of here. I thought our hostess was really nice, but I'm beginning to think she wasn't just bringing us here out of the goodness of her heart. I'm thinking more along the lines of cannibalism. So get up! Let's go!"
Fe'shi opens his eyes slowly and sits up from the bed slowly. Winces a bit in pain and looks over his shoulder at Okkie. Shakes his head slowly and stands up from the bed a bit beofre standing up fully. Wipes his eye with a paw and begins to limp over to where Okkie was standing then sits down. "Why would she go and save me from the waters if she was just going to kill me then?" Leans his head back and takes in the air that was coming down the path into the cavern then lets it out slowly. Nods and begins to walk towards the enterances of the cavern with the help of Okkie. Just as the two of them neared the door of the cavern, Jakhal comes down the path coming into the chamber. Shaking her head slowly as she reforms back into her normal psyhical self. "Why did she snap at me in the way she did? I was just trying to make her laugh...", closes her eyes and continues to head towards the chamber of her home deep within the cave.
Okkie knew she was overreacting, of course. Probably, Jakhal wasn't a cannibal. But her concern didn't lay with the aquatic femme. Her focus was solely upon Fe'shi, and if she had to be insane and irrational to ensure his security, so be it. She was willing to make that sacrifice. "Be careful. The ground's uneven," she purred as she helped Fe'shi through the threshold and up towards the cave's mouth. "And I don't know why she saved you, or what her motives are, Fe'shi. That's why I'm concerned. Before, she was acting really bouncy and giddy, but now -" It was then that Okkie noticed Jakhal plodding towards them through the gloom. The mocha female stiffened, and glared intensely at the approaching pendragon. Her tail lifted a bit, to show slight aggression, and she poised for a confrontation. "- She seems rather shifty, if you ask me. Don't you, Jakhal? I mean, when I first met you, you were so happy it was contagious. But then you went to sleep and didn't help me take care of Fe'shi, and then you deserted him. Are you just careless? I don't even know what you're really like."
Jakhal looks to Okkie for one last time then waves her away. Walks into the back of the cave and drops down on the floor. Sighs softly and just lies there thinking to herself. Fe'shi listened to Okkie's words and slowly made his way up the slope of uneven ground, making sure that his footing was good for every step he took with the help of his companion. Licks his lips a bit and came to the top of the hill out into the sunlight then drops down to his knees coughing a bit looking about the outside of the cavern. Looks over at Okkie and grins slightly. "You have done so much for me...but what can I do for you in return my lady?" His words came out smooth and soft as he spoke to her about making things up for being there for him.
By now, the angry one was quite baffled. In the beginning, Jakhal had been a delighttful companion, bubbly and charismatic. Then, she had been a careless and thoughtless pendragon in the face of another's illness. Now, she just seemed to be exasperated and dreadful. Okkie decided that Jakhal had been isolated for too long - perhaps she'd lost touch with how to act around others? That might be it, she admonished, pinning her ears to the nape of her spiked nape as she watched the streamlined female shrug uselessly and pad towards her chambers. She was alone when I got here, and she was really happy to see me. She hadn't seen anyone in a long, long while. Maybe she's just not used to being around others. She forgets how to behave. She's lost her compassion and her grip. I suppose we should just let her alone; it's not really her fault, so we should just leave and put the blame elsewhere. Okkie shook her head with a vigorous woof. She felt uncertain about the whole Jakhal situation, but it couldn't be helped. She'd be left to wonder what had gone wrong for the rest of her life. But what did it matter? Fe'shi was safe and sound, and a friendly growl carved its way up 'Kie's throat as she turned to look at him. Standing there in the sunshine, decidedly scrawnier than the last time the female had seen him. At least he was okay. "You don't owe me a thing. Except - a walk! C'mon, let's just take a short stroll." Of course, the Kanji-studded youth did not mention, as she began to slink along the cliff face, how she had to depart soon. She knew that she would have to return to Janardan, and she would have to leave Fe'shi again. But, this time, I'll send a boat back for him or something, so he can come visit me at the Academy, Okkie thought, trying to smile wanly at her counterpart.
Fe'shi followed her own the side of the ridge and licks his lips slowly as he follows. "Well, I will go on this little walk with you as so long as you can be the lead in it all." Laughs lightly and slides down the face of the summit and hits the bottom with a smash. A yell cries out as he does then laughing. He comes out of the dust cloud from hitting the ground and stumbles over to a tree then leans against it looking back up at Okkie from the ground. Waves his paw for saying he was okay then waits on her to come down.
When Fe'shi crashed down the slope, his female counterpart was briefly alarmed. Her mouth became an "O" shape and she waited to hear his cries of pain and injury. Laughter floated towards her instead, and Okkie's heart flip-flopped, and shook her head bemusedly. She then sat on her rump and slid down after, chortling lightly as she did so. "You scared me there for a minute," she scolded when she reached the bottom. 'Kie nipped the tip of the male's tail. "Come on, let's go this way. Towards the beach. We can rest there... and talk."
Nods then heads off into the direction towards the beach. Cutting across the vast jungle bottom looking about slowly at the flora and others there. Glares slightly and comes out of the jungle shortly after crossing the jungle then a strong gust of wind blows over him causing a sudden rush of giddeness. Shakes his head slowly and closes his eye walking out on the warm sands then drops down on the sands. Looks over his shoulder at Okkie and grins as she comes out of the jungle. "This feels great, to be out of the darkness away from the coolness of the cavern." Lies his head back against the sands and closes his eye slightly looking to the blue vaseness.
Once more, as 'Kie passed through the greenery, she couldn't help but drift off into the flowery breezes. Here she was - a hardened spy and rogue apprentice, easily seducted by the simple scent of petals! She even forgot about Fe'shi as she sniffled the flowers at the edge of the path, and her senses ignited with pleasure. I should have been a botanist, Okkie mused, her spikey tail flicking as she inhaled the odor of a fine and sweet plant. A botanist and a nurse and an empathy apprentice... hoo boy. The blue-eyed pendragon momentarily surfaced from her flower-swathed reverie, to peer at Fe'shi. He looked quite healthy, galloping like a giddy niotie through the jungle's thick foliage. Something about the sunlight sure had done him some good. Well... he looks like he'll be okay if I leave him for a few days. Then I can send a messenger or a boat back so that he can join me at the Academy sometime soon. To visit... hm. Trying her best to regain her focus upon Fe'shi instead of on the sweetly-scented plant life around her, Okkie picked up her pace and swiftly loped to the male's side. She jolted against his flank, and then they both tumbled out of the trees and onto the fine-sanded beaches. Above them, the sky stretched, a washed-out morning vastness. Across from them, the everlasting sea slurped and churned, a solitary blue reflecting the sky. Or was the sky reflecting the ocean? The age-old question. "Fe'shi... how are you feeling? I mean, honestly. You look great, and you say you're feeling better, but how much better?"
