Vac kept a tight grip on the chair, and quickly walked out the front door. He started walking quick. "There is a pond 200 miles from here, it will work fine. I never go there, not much under the ice, in that area." He continued to walk, the chair was making so much noise, that if anyone else lived out here, it would have awoken them.
Moren Waited on the slead, as moren came out with the chair in his grip. It was howling and screaming a horable noise. Moren could feel the anger in it just radiat out. He shivered, not sure if it was from what the chair put out, or if it was form the cold. Vac told him about the ponde, and started walking, Moren streed the slead a long side Vac, following, trying his best not to beat the chair till there was no more of it. The way it cryed just bugged him.
Vac continued walking, fighting with the chair the entire way. He cursed at it, Dammit, will you shut up. I wouldn't have to do this but, you have earned it. No, I will not reconsider. Do you realize you were a pain in the ass when you were alive, just as much as you are know in chair form? He shook his head. "Moren are you alright?" He kept walking but, looked over at Moren, to check on him.
Vac Curesed at the Chair, and Moren found this all kind of strange in a way, all this fuss over a chair, but the world was a strange place. Vac Asked How Moren was doing. "Things are diong ok here, just doing my best to keep warm and keep up." As he said this the slead bumped over another dune of snow, which Vac seemed to just waltz right though with no problem. Moren pulled his face cover from his jacket on so it covered just his mouth, and made sure his hood stayed up with the wind being as hard as it was.
Vac paused, and rummaged through his bag, withought letting go of the chair, which was still whining. He found what he was looking for and, handed it to Moren. "Here put this on under your hat, it will help protect your face. In fact you can keep I have more, even though I never seem to have the need, to use them."
When Vac stopped and started going though his bag, his other hand still holding the whining, screaming chair. Vac then Handed Moren a small device, and told him to put it under his hat to help keep him warm. When Moren grabed the device, and truned it over trying to figure out what is was it unfoleded, and started blowing out a stream of warm air. Moren smiled and placed the Flat device, which seemed to mold its self to the top of his head very well, under his hood and smiled as a burst of wind came up and only blew the warm air from the device into his face. "Thank you, that dose help." Moren said over the now much more barable wind. More started the slead moving again.
Vac smiled, and continued walking. "I am glad it helps. We will be there soon, it is not much further." He kept a tight hold on the chair, and resisted the urge to throw it on the ground and just crush it. After a few minutes, he pointed ahead. "There is the pond." He quickly moved towards it.
Moren noded and keep following Vac. The screaming the chair was getting to a pitch that was almost unbareable. Moren Tryed to keep it out of his mind, but it was just too much. Moren tryed to calm him self down. He would need to be calm to help rid this thing for the world.
Vac finally lost his temper, and threw it down onto the frozen pond. Once the chair landed on the ice, it finally stopped screaming and whining, as if it suddenly realized what exactly was going on. Vac, do I finally get to see mommy? I am sorry for being bad, I just have missed her so much. I want to tell her I am sorry for going into the forest, when I was told not to go. Can you please do this as fast as you can? I really don't like being a chair. Moren, I am sorry for attacking you. Vac looked down at the chair, and said in a quiet voice,"Yes, you are finally going to see your mommy. We will try and do this as quickly, as we are able."
Moren could see the look on Vac's face, he was lossing it. He threw the chair to the ice, The chair then began to speak. Moren mind switched modes as soon as he heard it talk. It was this kind of thing that always keep Moren thinking he was doing the right thing. Moren got up and smiled at the chair i a comforting smile. He took he jacket off handing it to Vac. Moren shivered a bit, but he knew he would be warm in a moment. "Things are going to get a little wilde, are you ready for that?" Moren asked Vac in a quite voice as he pulled is heavy shirt off and handed it to Vac.
Vac quietly took the clothing that Moren handed him, and nodded. "Yes, I am ready. Lets get him back to his mother. Tis' only the right thing to do."
Moren nodded, He picked up a small bag off the sled and pulls out two long strips of cloth. He wraps his wrists with them too keep his fur from getting it he way, and then places a chuck of black stone under each warping. He then grabs the bag and walks out on to the ice toward the chair. The chair seem to shake a bit, Moren didn't know if it was out of fear, or what. He kent down and asked the chair in a quite voice. "Do you give me permission to destroy this form you are in now?" The chair spoke, Moren had to really listen to hear it, "Yes...." "I then will release you from this form," Moren took a piece of charcoal out of his bag and began write the words on the chair's seat. "I ask all the see, let this soul move on from this form, and let it find happiness." Moren Pulled out a black cord, wrapping it around the arms and back of the chair. He did his best to keep his fouces because this would be the hardiest part. He step back, and before starting he said, "I forgive you." He then began to say the old words. The wind picked up around them and began to swirl around the pound. Moren's fur began to stand straight out. He then said as load as he could "BE GONE!!!!" Fire then burst forth from his hands and the chair. The flames danced high and swriled in the wind for almost a good 3 min. When all was said and done Moren fell to the ground pulling off the smoldering wrappings and letting them drop to the ground, the stones still holding on to his fur keeping it from bruning. When He look over where the chair was there was nothing left but a small pool of standing water, which was quickly freezing up.
Vac moved quickly over to Moren. He knelt down, next to him. "Are you alright?" He asked. He looked at the spot, where the chair had been sitting, and realized that a huge weight had been removed from his shoulders. He stood up and offered a hand to Moren, to assist him up off the ground. He listened as the wind picked up once more, and tears fell down his face, as he heard the childs voice, yell, HI MOMMY. Not bothering to wipe the tears away, he said to Moren,"Isn't that a wonderful sound?" He leaned down and adjusted the sled, and waited for Moren to climb back on it.
Vac Help Moren up, asking if he was ok. Moren nodded and could see Vacs face change and as Vac stood Moren hear the Child voice wind. Moren smiled, and thought "Safe jorney little." Vac made his comment as Moren was getting his shirt back on and pulling his jacket on. He was still very warm with all the fire engery still plusing through him. "Its why I live the way I do. To try to help others where ever I can." Vac held the sled for Moren as he climbed on. "Lets get back to your place, I'm not going to stay this warm ever." Moren smiled up at Vac, more happy for Vac and the Child then the the fact that he sawn't cold.
Vac smiled and nodded. He started to walk back in the direction of the hut. "Yes, you are correct. Lets get back and, get some warm liquid into you. You are going to be shaking like a mad man when, the extra energy fades." He laughed as he said the words. Tis' wasn't the first time he had seen this sort of thing happen, it was the first time he had been involved though. He smiled, as the wind died down again. He took a deep breath, enjoying the cool crisp air, as it filled his lungs. He has decided to keep the hut, as his main work office. He smiled as he thought of the nights events.
Moren nodded to Vac's comment. Moren just followed Vac for a while , being quite and enjoying the heat coming from his body. Moren then stoped, Pushed the sled over to Vac. "I need to run a little bit, get this last bit out of me, or I will never sleep. I'll meet you back at the hut." He waited to see what Vac said.
Vac leaned down, and picked up the sled. He continued to walk and smiled. "Enjoy your run, I didn't lock the door. I will meet you back there." He walked at a slower pace than normal. He was much happier, to have the childs soul, finally at rest. He never thought that, it would have such an effect on him. As he thought of his unborn child, he realized that if the same thing happened, no matter how much it hurt, he would release the child from, whatever the improsonment was.
Moren Smiled "Thanks." He then started running. As he ran through the snow, the engery in his body expanded freely and moved about him. He could feel his body pluse with the life fire that he had summoned. it was a unbelivable feeling, but he knew to only take it for what it was, or it could become a drug. As he joged in the dark cold night air, he came to the hut, then passed it by. Still needing to get this feeling out. The stars showen in the sky, and the cool night air moved around him. He came to the top of a clif that droped down the water below. He stoped and just looked out in the cold dark air. It was these times he whished he could share with some one else. But he knew all he would really ever have is him self. Others would just come and go, He could only hope the ones he liked stayed for a very long time. After meding for a while, and having to bundle back up, Moren started jogging back to the hut. he rememebered a song that a story teller gave him. From the past, into the light. All your thoughts will go. Cause to the past is where all we are will go. From the time a song is given, to the time we die. The past is all we have to keep us from crying. Keep to now, and remember the past, and you will never cry. Remeber the past, and keep to now, and you or any one else you remember will never die. The song finnished in his head just as he got to the hut. Moren looked up at the sky, and smiled saying, "I'll never let any of the memories die."
Vac stood in the doorway of the hut, and watched as Moren jogged bye. He went back inside the hut, and walked into the kitchen. He grabbed two brandy siftners from the warmer, and set them on the counter. He then opened a cupboard, and pulled out a bottle of brandy, and poured enough into each glass so they are half full. He walks into the other room, and sets one of the glasses on a table near a chair. He goes and sits down in a chair, leans back into it and closes his eyes for a moment, and takes a sip of his brandy.
Moren walks in to find the hut quite. Moren walked down the hallway and saw Vac, sitting there with what looked like a glass of brandy leaning back with his eyes closed. It almosted looked like Vac had fallen asleep. Moren quitly walked by, striping off his heavy jacket and paints and put them in the corner in the bed room where he was sleeping.
