  1. <font color='#FF7F00'>Ayokye smiled knowingly.

It was true, Dreed was far older and wiser than she. And now, he was resting. Like any good PenDragon cub, she obeyed her elder and began to float as well.

"Dreed I like floating. I reminds me of this time when my daddy and my mommy and me all went to this place and there was this hot tub and these bubbles and daddy was all red from the heat and.."
She began to ramble on and on..</font>

  2. <font color='#FFFF00'>Dreed lied there on his back and kicked his hind legs a bit as he continued to relax. Off in his left ear the sounds of the little dragon's rambling continued and the other sounds of others coming to the beach.</font>

  3. <font color='#FF7F00'>She talked for a time, not realizing Dreed was only half-listening.

After about seven minutes of babbling about things Dreed didn't really care about, she stopped and glanced toward the east. The sun was getting higher, and not far from where she was, she could see tourists already begining to flock to the coastline.

"Hey Dreed, other dragons are coming to the beach. Maybe we should go to a different spot."
    She suggested.</font>

  4. <font color='#FFFF00'>"Where do you suggest we go to, my dear?" Opens one of his eyes and licks his lips slightly.</font>

  5. <font color='#FF7F00'>Ayokye cocked her head and raised an eyebrow.

"Hmm... maybe we could go to a different spot on the beach?"
    She suggested.</font>

  6. <font color='#FFFF00'>Dreed nodded then turns over onto his feet in the water then spreads his wings. Flaps slowly with his wings then one great flap getting him up out of the water. Reaches his forepaws down and places them about Ayokye then lifts her up out of the water gently. Closes his paws against her softly so that she won't fall from his paws then blasts up into the air a few yards above the water then flies off to another section of the beach. Upon flying he looks down at the beaches below and sighs slightly. "Ayokye, just let me know if you see any place that looks good to land and get back into the water!" Looks back ahead of himself and glares slightly as he flies over the top of a ridge.</font>

  7. <font color='#FF7F00'>Ayokye nodded and smiled.

    "Ok Dreed, I will!"
She called back to him, glancing around her for a spot that wasn't overrun by tourists.</font>

  8. <font color='#FFFF00'>Flying above all the tourist, Dreed spat and it came down ontop of a brown male dragon. Causing him to begin to curse Dreed as he flew by. Dreed laughed and continued to soar.</font>

  9. <font color='#FF7F00'>She laughed at the enraged tourist and began swimming forward, her strides and strokes small, as the swimming techniques of many young things were. Water splashing about her as her small limbs cut through the water again and again, she was careful to look for a clear spot on the beach, but was not against looking about her in the water for hazards that may have put her in trouble.

She increased the speed of her gait so she could catch up with Dreed. This took a bit of physical energy to accmplish, so she was breathing fairly heavily. After a moment, she looked ahead, and noticed the ominous shadow of Dreed grower nearer to her, or rather she was getting closer to it. But it was constantly moving, so it was an effort indeed to keep up with the sihlouette on the water. Many times she found herself out of breath, chest heaving from the intense (for her anyway) activity. But through it all, Ayokye remained strong, and finally caught up with her comerade's shadow. She sighed in relief and glanced ashore.

There was a clearing, not a large one, but big enough for two friends out on an adventure. The sand was white, and palm trees, whose leaves were swaying in the cool morning breeze, cast plenty of shade upon it. The ivory sand, as a result, looked a grey color. To Ayokye, it looked as though it might be cool to walk on, and it seemed to her that it would feel quite funny to a young PenDragon who'd like nothing better than to squish it between her toes. There were coconuts on the trees, that Ayokye guessed were probably full of sweet milk. What a treat it would be, to have breakfast with her newfound friend. She licked her lips at the thought.

The clearing was surrounded by rocks and foliage, and was well hidden from the prying eyes of visitors to the coastline. Seaweed had washed up onto the shore, and some of it flowed in and out with the tide. This place was like a dream to Ayokye. Most of the time, the beaches were so crowded you could barely move around. The tourists seemed to have a knack for making as much noise as possible, and causing as much commotion as could be. This place was empty and silent. Ayokye smiled. This place would be perfect for a break. And best of all, it could be a secret, a place only she and Dreed knew about. After all, all friends had secrets to share, and this woud be theirs. They could come here to have a meal, and to just hang out. What fun it would be, to have a place just for them.

All of this raced through Ayokye's head in a way that it was overwhelming. She smiled at the place and she knew Dreed, who'd thus far proven to be a sensitive and compassionate soul, would smile at it as well. He was just like that, only about an hour before had they met, and already she could tell there was far more to him than met the eye. Though his appearence, like his shadow, was ominous and forebiding, he was really a gentle giant, one who, Ayokye guessed, probably liked picnics with friends and romping on the sand.

She sighed again and looked up to Dreed, and wondered if he'd seen her newly discovered mini-paradise. If he had, Ayokye knew he'd given it a second glance. Anyone who laid their eyes upon it would.

"Hey Dreed, see that neat little clearing?"
She called up to him, grinning ear to ear.</font>

  10. <font color='#FFFF00'>Dreed looked down at the young dragon and listened to the softness of her voice then dropped down towards the water. Places his legs into the water then breaks his flight, causing him to gently land in the water. "Wow, that is amazing." Grins as he looks to the shaded area of her little paradise on the beach. Glances back at her then nudges her with his forepaw gently. "I like it...looks great and comfortable. So do you want to get some grub from those trees or what." Laughs lightly and makes his way over the shore. Places a forepaw against the soft sands slowly and smiles a bit. "Nice...", walks up onto the beach fully and lies his body half in the water and half on the beach.</font>

  11. <font color='#FF7F00'>Ayokye smiled and nodded.

Without hesitation she paddled over towards the shore. When she got to the water's edge, where she could finally stand up again, he legs were tired and sore from the effort of propeling her through the water. But she didn't really care about that much. She was hungry.

The coconuts were to high for her to reach, and she had no wings with which to fly up and grab them. So, she turned to her friend Dreed for help..

"Dreed.. I can't reach those coconuts.. I think they'd make a nice breakfast.. don't you?"
    She smiled..</font>

  12. <font color='#FFFF00'>Dreed looks into the small dragon's eyes and smirked. Licks her lips slowly and gets up from the ground. Walks all the way up onto the sands and heads to one of the trees. Rises up on his hind legs and sweeped a few of the cocanuts down with ease. Turns his paw over and the cocanuts drop onto the ground at his feet. Drops back down onto his front paws. Lies down against the cocanut trees and drags a claw across one of the nuts and splits it easily. None of the milk spills out of the nut. Upon it coming apart, Dreed moved his paw back away from the nut and looks to Ayokye then grins. "Drink up, while it is still cool." Grabs up one of the nuts and busts it in his paw then turns his head back dropping the fluid that came from it into his mouth.</font>

  13. <font color='#FF7F00'>Ayokye pounced onto coconut and clamped her jaw on hard, the sweet liquid pouring down into her mouth, as she did so. Some of it dribbled down the side of her face.

She giggled at this and put the coconut down once she'd finished drinking it's milk. Then she wiped her face, clearing off the milk that'd spilled.

    "Thanks Dreed.."
    She said giggling.</font>

  14. <font color='#FFFF00'>Dreed drops the pick of the cocanut and chews it up then swallowing. Looks back down at Ayokye. Nods slowly to her and leans his head down against the soft sand licking his lips slowly. "Your welcome, little lass." Grins at her and moves his paw over to another cocanut and spliting it with his claw again. Being careful not to spill any of the milk.</font>

  15. <font color='#FF7F00'>She smiled and laughed a little.

    "So.. Dreed.. what now?"
    She questioned, looking excited.</font>

  16. <font color='#FFFF00'>Finishes the second cocanut and looks to her licking his lips slowly. "Well, I don't know...maybe you should go and find your parents. Go home...", smirks and lies his head against the ground and sighs slightly as he lies there looking at the waves of the blue, clear water.</font>

  17. <font color='#FF7F00'>She looked at Dreed with a sad spark in her eyes.

"I don't want to go home yet.. I want to play some more.."
    She whined.</font>

  18. <font color='#FFFF00'>Laughs lightly and pats her on the head with his paw. Licks his lips as he looked to her eyes. "Comeon, it isn't so bad to go home. I mean you have a family that loves you." Looks away from her slowly and places his forepaw back aginst the sand as he looks over towards the rolling waves once more.</font>

  19. <font color='#FF7F00'>Aykoye nodded. Maybe Dreed was tired of playing with her.

"Ok Dreed.. I'll go home.. in about five minutes.."
    She smiled.

    Then she wondered..

"Dreed.. don't you have a family to go home to?"</font>

  20. <font color='#FFFF00'>Upon hearing her question Dreed shakes his head slowly and sighs a bit. "No, I don't...not anymore...", sighs heavily and relaxes against the sands looking back to her with soft eyes. "It is hard to stay in contact with family, because of my job."</font>
