Good. You look like you need it. I think V's using that spare room for some wacky invention, so you can collapse in my room, if you want. Korif looked at her for a moment, then returned his gaze to the road's horizon. He needed some sleep too, which he realised as he stifled a yawn. Ah, s'only round the block. I'm sure I can keep myself from falling asleep on my feet until then...
We should probably hurry up then, 'fore we fall asleep in the street. She said, already seeing what could happen if they fell asleep, she'd turn to a blood, dusty heap and he'd be murdered... real nice. They turned onto where V had taken up residence, she waited for Korif to knock or unlock the door or unrig whatever V had done, she wasn't exactly in a place to go waltzing in.
Korif banged on the door and the eye-level slide opened, followed by its closing and the pulling of about 5 or so locks. Viriathos opened the door and stepped away to let the two in. 'Ey, mon. Good t'see ya. Korif let Leah in first and went into the lounge. He dropped himself onto the sofa and almost fell asleep there and then. He let out a long, relaxed sigh and sank into his seat with gratitude.
Guess he wasn't kidding... Leah said to herself. She'd known Korif was tired and the like, but she hadn't quite gathered exactly how tired. It was probably just because the adrenaline had worn itself out. She sat next to him, curling a leg under her and rubbed her thumb from the base of his ear to the angle in his jaw. {Sleep.}
Don't do that, it's making it worse! Korif thought with a smirk. You might as well get some sleep, yourself. You know which one's my room, right? He closed his eyes and started to feel much more relaxed. It was good to be somewhere familiar and not be shot at for once. He yawned widely and sank a little further before quietly drifting to sleep.
Leah smiled, it had kind of been the point to inadvertantly have Korif fall asleep, lord knows he needed it. She got up and nodded both greeting and good night before turning to go up the stairs. Walking down the second floor hallway she peered in the doors, not quite remembering where she'd slept before, but knowing that she would if she saw it. A few minutes later she had kicked off her shoes and undone her belt and placed them at the foot of the bed. Settling in she quickly succumbed to the sleep that was much needed.
Korif woke up very steadily, taking his time opening his eyes, rubbing them and getting up. He looked through the tiniest of cracks in between the curtains and saw daylight. With a yawn, he headed to the stairs to see if Leah was alright. He could smell coffee, damn strong. Typical Viriathos. Everything of his had to be strong, save for himself. Korif slowly and slightly clumsily climbed the stairs and opened Leah's room door, giving himself just enough room to poke his head in and see how she was. Sleeping soundly, amazingly enough. That was the first time in a while Korif had seen her sleep so well.
She was dreaming, she had to be. But it was different today... She was 16, staying with her cousins in Ajita, Mom's side of the family, her father's relatives didn't talk to her anymore, except Naless, but she didn't really count. She was sitting in the old Onye Sjaa, watching Demi, Tamar, and Raezil while her aunt was out. Hey Lee! Look at what I can do! Tamar shouted up at her. I'm watching. She said, looking down at the child. Tamar snapped his fingers and a small flame appeared, purple in color. His eyes sparkled and had his grin been any wider the top of his head probably would have fallen off. Yeah, well I can do this! Demi remarked, sending a cascade of water that put out Tamar's flame. Raezil laughed. And I can make it all stop! She said. Waving her small paws in circles and then closing her fists both the water and the fire stopped, leaving crystals in the air. It stayed like that only for a second, but it was enough. So Aunt Kay has been giving you three devils lessons? Leah asked. The three lined up under the branch and nodded up at her... On impulse the muscle around Leah's right eye twitched. Someone was within her almost immeadiate area. She rolled over and cracked an eye open. Hey you... She mumbled.
Hey. You sleep okay? Korif smiled, amused by her sleepiness. He came in and closed the door but a crack behind him as he leaned on the right of the doorframe. His hands were jammed in his pockest as he looked at Leah. She looked peaceful when she was asleep, almost kind of cute. I wouldn't open the curtains. It's about ten o'clockish, so it's gonna be a little bright. Korif gave a silent chuckle.
Leah raised an eye brow. Only ten? She asked. She could have sworn it'd be a little later than that. The chances of her actually getting up at the moment were very slim seeing as what the time was. She did however sit up, the sheet bunching up around her waist. I'm not sure if I'm actually getting up yet. She said, rubbing an eye.
Alright. You get up when you're ready. Be downstairs if you need me. Korif smiled to her once more and left the room, a little more alert and awake. He came back into the lounge to find V sat on the sofa with a rather large mug of the coffee he'd made. Still some in dere if ya wannit, blud. he nodded. With a shrug, Korif sat back down.
Leah sighed and watches as Korif went back down stairs. The room was slightly brighter, but not by much, she was thankful for the darkly colored curtains. Snuggling back down under the covers she closed her eyes. Trying to convince herself that she was still tired she let her consiousness slip away. It was obscenely blue, the walls, pulsing with the light, the floor as well, but she was in a tunnel. Rae? She called out. She looked around her, lots and lots of blue, but in the middle of it all, a white form. Leah walked up to it, laying her eyes upon the thill that would be forever 11 years old. What are you doing? I don't want to die, Lee! Tell her I should live! She screamed. Tell who? Ydjad. Leah awoke and bolted up, it felt like someone had thrown a rock clear through her chest. That hadn't been a memory, but still this was Raezil we were talking about, the one that 8,000 some years ago had been studying Seerism and Chronokenisis and had been trying to find Fromina's limits. This was strange... She walked down the stairs and into the kitchen, leaning against the door frame. Either of you know a good library I can visit when the sun goes down? She asked.
Nope. Nuh-uh. Both self-tutored, I'm afraid. Always found libraries very unreliable on the things we needed. Why, what're you after? He looked to the doorway with a slightly concerned look on his face. She'd probably had another one of those whacked-out dreams again. He sighed and got up to get himself some coffee. You want some? he pointed to the half-empty pot.
Leah nodded and went over to the coffee pot and poured herself some coffee, no milk, no sugar. I'm after an autobiography, I want to look up an old friend, see a few things, worst comes to worst I'd have to go see some folks out in Ajita, but I'm fairly sure there's something on the thill. She said, drinking some of her coffee. She thought about what exactly she needed to know, surely Rae wasn't still alive, but she hadn't seen the Sena part of her family in what... 40 or so years. They still had their gifts, but she didn't remember anyone else named Raezil for a few generations. Yeah, library and Ajita, that's the ticket. She muttered.
Ah, right. Err... Ajita- oh yeah... they, er... they don't like me a great deal. I set up shop there once. Stole a few jewels from some priest and and had... relations with his brother's wife while I was there. Let's say that the bounty on me hasn't disappeared, just gotten exponentially larger... Korif developed a sheepish grin as he explained. Still, if you need either of us, or both if you want, to go with you, just say the word. I need to get out of Bhim, anyway. It's playing havoc with my olfactory capabilities... Yeah, I could do wit gettin' out de Bhim, too. Shit be goin' down not far from where we sat now, an' I don' t'wanna be around when it 'its de fan. Viriathos looked over at Leah and smiled his shark's-grin smile. Heh. She a pretty girl, a'right. Korif done well to get such a fine specimin of a woman. He went back to his coffee and took a huge mouthful from it. Don't worry, he's not burning his tongue any. The nerves in that one's tongue're screwed up. Korif chuckled.
Leah smirked, at both V's thought and at what Korif had said, leave it to him. At least your not wanted for... Nevermind, I don't want to know. She had been about to say murder, but if he was, she didn't want to know and if he wasn't she didn't want to jinx it. She leaned against the wall, fanning her wings out a bit, thinking. She probably did need to go out and see the Sena's, she also didn't see much harm in either Korif or V or both coming along. Come if you like, but my mother's family wasn't known for being ordinary eight millenia ago, moreso now. She said, drinking some of her coffee. Out of Character

Sorry for the late reply, currently in a 'net café in Colmar, France. My replies might be a little slow until I get back to the US on the 21st.

I am, but that ain't here or in Ajita, so you've nothing to worry about he sniggered. Ah, no worries. I've had dealings with my fairs share of seers and oracles to last me a bit. Funnily enough, so's V. Yeah, mon. S'funny 'ow much attention ya get when ya be creatin' and designin' various tings... Viriathos rolled his eyes and finished his coffee, a small grin emblazoned across his face, having realised that she 'heard' what he was thinking. Out of Character

No worries ^^

Leah nodded. That's the thing, some of them are seers, but the gene pool has changed a fair bit since I hatched. I don't look too normal. She paused, trying to grab hold of her aura, which was currently swirling about her in a great black cloud. But last time I was around they didn't talk, no mouths, telepathy all the time, not to mention the lack of fingers, the extra set of limbs and cobra hood. She said, naming a few odd bits of her mother's family. They were decidedly more serpent than anything else, but she didn't really care for looks any more.
Seriously? Geez, shows how long we've been gone, huh? Mm. Don't tink I's ever met a seer wit dem little attributes ya rattalin' off, gal. Would be interesting to see, though, no doubt. When're you thinking of heading off? Korif cracked his thumbs boredly. He would've liked to leave as soon as possible, but Leah probably had things she needed to pack, and the thought made him roll his eyes and smirk. Out of Character

Gargh, block.

Leah nodded. ''They're interesting folks, judt don't act like they're some freak show act with staring and such and they like you just fine.'' She said. She thought for a moment on if she needed some time. She did want to check out a library some where, just to see if they had Raezil's book. If they didn't it was fine, just to check... It's a little hard for me to travel during the day, it's possible, but one of you'd have to go to the flat and pick up a few things. She said.
