  1. Korif's head shot up as he heard Leah's voice in his head. <span style='color:red'>Oh, thank god... no. I'll have to come out the front and get you. V, you still got my rifle? </span>
<span style='color:blue'>Right 'ere, blud.</span> Viriathos threw Korif the rifle from the convoy, and the thief unbolted the door. He heaved it open and peered out, before taking a look up at the roof. <span style='color:red'>C'mon, get down here, quick. I can smell the bastards.</span>

  2. Leah jumped from the roof, landing a bit in front of where Korif was standing. She went past him into V's house, pulling him with her. The last thing they wanted at the moment was one of the other Vamps getting shot or they might as well wake up dead the next morning.

<span style='color:purple'>You'd think those other vamps would keep to themselves, not block up four exits of the maze. Jean's gonna be pissed.</span> She said, going to the middle of the room and just sitting down on the floor, a long sigh escaping her.

  3. <span style='color:red'>Fuck Jean. They came after us, they would've brought it on themselves if they got dusted.</span> Korif sat next to her, a massive wave of relief crashing into him. He knew it was a seriously green thing to say, but it was merely the way he saw it. The overriding feeling at the moment, though, was gratitude to whatever divine being managed to get Leah to the house alive.

  4. <span style='color:purple'>I'm just saying because now he's going to be pissed at everyone else too for letting it happen</span> She said.

Leah shifted her weight a little and lightly leaned against Korif. It had to be close to day time, otherwise she probably wouldn't be this tired. She felt like a fledgeling again, just dying when the sun came up, not being able to choose.

    <span style='color:purple'>Anywhere I can sleep?</span> She asked, a yawn following.

  5. <span style='color:red'>Hmm... park yourself on the sofa, if you want. That said, I think V's got a spare room upstairs.</span>
<span style='color:blue'>As alweys, blud. Ya lady's a'right to park 'erself wherever she be likin'.</span> Korif shrugged. <span style='color:red'>There you go.</span> he chuckled. <span style='color:red'>Look like you could use the rest, too. You're a mess, girl.</span> He put his arm around her, his hand gently gripping her forearm.

  6. Leah nodded, her eyes shut. Honestly she could have fallen asleep where she was, though that probably wouldn't have been very proper.

<span style='color:purple'>You got decent curtains in the spare room?</span> She half mumbled.

She could have just slept on the couch, it was closer after all, but with folks going in and out and the door being there and all and the windows, she was probably safer in the spare room.

  7. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
    <table class='ooc'><tr><td>No windows =P V's a bit of a recluse</td></tr></table>

<span style='color:red'>No windows upstairs anyway... hey, you still awake?</span> Korif smirked. He had the slightest feeling that the Vampdragon had fallen asleep. And oddly enough, he was quite comfortable just sat on the carpet. He sighed and looked at her, her eyelids heavy with drowsiness.

  8. <span style='color:purple'>No.</span> Leah said, the corners of her mouth tilting up in a sleepy smile.

Leah's brain wasn't much for figuring at the moment, though the fact did come across her that if she didn't get up now someone was going to have to carry her.

<span style='color:purple'>Could someone show me where the spare room is, before I really do fall asleep?</span> She asked, her eyes half-open and rather glazed.

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
    <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Heh, sorry, didn't know ^^"</td></tr></table>

  9. <span style='color:red'>C'mon, I'll carry you up. You don't look to be in much of a state to walk.</span> he grinned, picking her up. He took her upstairs and nudged open the door for the spare room, before easing her onto the bed. He liked the look on Leah's face when she was asleep. Peaceful. With a slight sigh, Korif headed for the door and closed the door, leaving it open a crack. He looked back in and smiled, going back downstairs.

  10. Leah vaguely remembered falling asleep in Korif's arms, the rest was lost to her as she slept in the spare room.

She was a fledgling again, feeding off of haroks and trisks and whatever else she could find. She kept having a gnawing hunger in her gut. a week later, she looked up, what the hell was she doing, and why the hell were there 'dragons around her, laying on the ground, mangled, and where had all of that blood come from? She felt something pierce through her whole upper body, catching her breath painfully.

    <span style='color:red'>Bad Vamp, very bad Vamp.</span>

She felt the metal tassles of a whip crack repeatedly on her back through the binding in her chest, trying to find strength to scream...

Leah sat bolt up right, cold sweat over her.
    <span style='color:purple'>Mon Dieu.</span>

She looked around her, where was she? She was in the spare room at V's. Who was V? Korif's friend. Who was Korif? Her friend. Who was she? She was Leehara, yes. Now she was half back in order, first thing that came to mind was: What time is it?

  11. Korif thought he heard Leah upstairs. He jogged up and spoke through the gap between the door and the doorway. <span style='color:red'>You alright?</span> He knew that Leah was prone to the worrying dreams, and the thought of leaving her asleep alone made Korif a little unnerved.

  12. Leah nodded, then realized Korif probably couldn't see her.
<span style='color:purple'>Yeah, almost fine, just a nightmare.</span> She said, repeating the last bit once more just to let it sink in.

She leaned back on her arms and tilted her head back so she was looking at the cieling.
<span style='color:purple'>What am I going to do with me?</span> She asked herself, momentarily fogetting that Korif was there.

    <span style='color:purple'>What time is it?</span> She asked.

  13. <span style='color:red'>Seven. Don't worry, it's dark. Tell you what, you were out like a light when I brought you up.</span> He poked his head through the crack. <span style='color:red'>It was refreshing to get a little quiet for a change.</span> He shot her a wink and a cheeky smirk. In all honesty, though, he had been worried about her while he was downstairs.

  14. <span style='color:purple'>Mmm... dark.</span> She purred, for the moment just that fact made her night. She untangled herself from the covers and got up, padding over to Korif and opening the door the rest of the way.

<span style='color:purple'>I'm not that loud.</span> She said, shooing off the remnants of sleep.

Leah walked past him, though she did take his hand in hers befoer smiling up at him and proceeding down the hall and to the stairs.

  15. Korif rolled his eyes and followed her down. <span style='color:red'>Anything else exciting planned, or have I exhausted your repetoire already?</span> Which brought up the question, was she going to work again? It seemed like one of those once a week jobs, but it could easily have been an all week job, too. He might just follow her down, see how badly he could put her off while she was performing.

  16. <span style='color:purple'>Nope, no work tonight unless someone cancels and has a good reason, I only have too go three days a week plus Saturday.</span> She said.

She thought about things she had to do and didn't come up with anything terribly important. She reached the foot of the stairs and went in the general direction of the kitchen. Blood, she'd needed that since the night before, hadn't gotten any out of sheer need of sleep. She opened the door to the fridge and took out one of the bottles, sensing that neither Korif nor V would very much like being fed on.

  17. <span style='color:red'>Y'know, you only need to ask. I'm sure you'd prefer it warm.</span> Korif wasn't very happy about Leah filling herself with cold blood. His guess was that it wasn't doing her any favours, but he wasn't a Vampdragon, so who was he to talk?

  18. Leah's eyebrows went up when Korif offered his blood.
<span style='color:purple'>Warm blood is better, but if I feed off you x amount of times in such a short span of time I might accidentally mark you, then you'll have other Vamps asking who's slave you are.</span> She said.

She knew that Korif lived a 'solitary life' he'd already told her so in the bar last night. She'd kind of figured that accidentally marking him and having others think he was her slave would be very bad.

  19. <span style='color:red'>Hmm... a short span being...?</span> If it only meant a few hours, maybe a day or two, then Leah had gone without feeding off Korif for a while. He wondered just how many Vampdragons were still out looking for them. Hell, for all Korif knew, there could be a whole congregation just parked outside the door, awaiting their exit. He sighed and tried to clear his throbbing head.

  20. <span style='color:purple'>Well when I was young it was three nights, since I'm a lot older now it's probably a week.</span> She said.

Enslaving others was not a trait that most Vamps ever entirely grew out of as it was she'd only ever had two slaves, one died of old age, and the other had been marked by her several times. The only reason that 'dragon wasn't alive was because of some very odd circumstances along with morder.

Leah finished off the blood, it was mildly satisfying, she'd probably have to either have some more or find someone else before she fell asleep for the day.
