I still say you're too good for this place. Leah said, shaking her head a bit as a small smile crept up her muzzle. The two of them stood there for a time span that she could only begin to fathom, it felt like ages, but it porbably only went as far as a few minutes. However, it wasn't awkward, it was more of an understanding silence than anything. She wasn't quite ready to say much, but she knew that he would listen if she said anything at all. She pulled back some, her arms still around him, but now she was looking up at him. Has anyone ever told you what lovely eyes you have? She asked, smirking some. Out of Character

Happy Birthday!

Korif allowed a small grin to appear. Here we go again... he sniggered. He now had the feeling that almost every conversation he had with her would end up with her coming out with this at some point. Still, it was nice to be complimented. Yes, you. A number of times, if I remember right. Out of Character

Thank yew! X3

Leah gave a cheecky grin and winked at Korif. Did I now? She said, teasing. She reached a hand up and rubbed the fur a bit above his eye and the right direction, then sliding the backs of her fingers against his cheeck before patting his chest. Let's go somewhere. She said.
Alright. Where to, or shall we just wander as was the plan last time? Smirking, Korif tingled as Leah ran her fingers over his fur. Leah seemed to be a very nomadic soul, a little like someone he knew, whose location he still didn't know. Always on the move, both of them. For some reason, Korif took a shine to those that bore the same trait. Out of Character

Ack, block! >_<

I dunno, walk around, try not to kill anyone this time, see if anything comes of it. She said with a shrug. She went into the small kitchen area to retrieve her thin Jemdrull team jacket that she had tossed on the counter a few days prior. She put on the black and yellow over shirt and zipped it half way, her last name and the number 13 in bold white letters on the back. What general direction do you propose we go in first? She asked.
To be honest, I haven't a clue. Korif gave a sort of hopeless shrug as he took a quick glance out of the window. It was dark. Too risky to be wandering around the gardens at this time of night. Wherever you wanna go, I suppose. I'm hoping it's not some dingy club, but I figure I know you better than that. he sniggered with a knowledgable wink.
No clubs. Promise. I know better than that anyway. She said with a wink. She escorted Korif out the door, locking it behind them. They took the elevator down to the main floor and then out a side door, prefering that if there was wnyone still examining the alley they wouldn't see her and Korif. The two walked in silence away from the center of the market, Leah didn't feel much like being in the middle of everything and everyone. She folded her arms as the wind blew lightly, her thin jacket not keeping an adequate amount out.
Don't know where you want to go, then, huh? Korif smiled. He put an arm around her shoulders, trying to warm her up a little. He didn't know why, but he always seemed to have this habit of merely following wherever Leah went. It was almost like a reflex, in a way. Seemed like force of habit. Still, it didn't bother him too much. He didn't like it when things bothered him a great deal.
I have a general idea, but otherwise no, I don't. She said. Leah tilted her head up some, looking at the stars for a moment before looking out around her and Korif. The amount of buildings was thinning, which she found comforting. After all these years there was still something about being so surrounded by buildings and 'dragons that set her on edge even though she lived in the Black Market, which was probably hindsight now that she thought about it. It took some time for her to register that she had unconsciously steered the both of them on a path where the thin branches of the trees over head seemed to interlace, the buds almost glowing a shade of iridecsent indigo.
Was this that general idea you had? Korif smirked as he looked up at the branches. How come he'd never seen this place before? He'd been in Bhim for years now, and he thoguht he knew the place inside-out. 'Nice place...' he thought. The surroundings here were oddly soothing. It was as if everything that had ever agitated Korif was just gone.
Yes, but I've found that if I'm trying to find this place, it seems to disappear. I've only ever gotten here by chance. Leah said. Jaz had shown her the place quite some time ago, maybe eight years ago, her and twelve year old Jaz had been walking around, Leah had been doing the F'aronui family a favor and watched Jaz so she wouldn't do anything threatening. Jaz had pointed out various plants and explained them all in great detail to Leah, saying what chemicals made up the plants to give off what effect. She'd also pointed out some beneficial plants that aided in tranquilizers, pain-killers and blood clots among other things. Leah reached up to one of the lower down branches and plucked off a bud. She rolled it between her fingers until it fell apart and the petals scattered in front of them over a non-existant breeze. The petals landed and stayed the same glowing color, though after a manner of moments they faded out.
Always seems to be places like this that disappear when you're actively looking for them. Korif said with a silent chuckle. It was quiet. Just showed how secluded it was. There seemed to be all manner of plants here that he'd never seen before, too. He didn't recognise the sigh nor the scent of a single one of them, and it made him smile. He was always willing to experiment, be it with armaments or healing salves.
Yeah, it's kind of unfortunate really. If I could find here, where ever here is, when I needed to run away from everything I'd be set for life. I doubt I'd ever kill someone in blind actions again. Leah said wistfully, a sigh escaping her. The atmosphere of the area had mellowed her out. She was still seeing and thinking clearly, but she was feeling better about everything than she did on most days. There was a large tree and the smooth bark of it reflected a silvery color in the moonlight. The trunk was hollowed out some and she moved so that she was holding Korif's hand. She led him over to the tree and patted the space next to her.
Taking a seat next to Leah, Korif looked up at the moon. Strange, isn't it? The whole place just... calms you down. he chuckled a bit. He wasn't used to feeling this mellow. It was a good feeling, and given the choice, Korif would've stayed. Leah probably felt the same way. He could see a few stars dotted about the sky, too. 'Makes you think, doesn't it? his mind seemed to smirk. Korif had to agree. It was odd that sometimes the mere sight of something can just freeze a person in wondering and thought.
Leah nodded her head slowly, thoughtfully. She'd thought quite a bit about the place and it's lush plant life. She'd come to the conclusion that the only way it could keep itself going was if it was supported by magic. She did not know who's or what kind of magic it was, the signature was dificult to not only sense, but it tasted of both new and old power. She'd also reached the point where she was convinced that some of the plants gave off drugged scents because they calmed her and made her almost apathetic in a sleepy sort of way. Yeah, it does make you think... She said, not aware that Korif had thought his last comment, not said it.
Korif looked at Leah and half-grinned. He'd forgotten about the whole 'reading minds' thing. He could see her eyelids dropping a little, and he instinctively shuffled up closer to her. He gently eased her head onto his shoulder and put his arm around her. We don't have to stick around for much longer, if you don't want. He found himself getting chillier, and the occasional twitch of a shiver would zip down his spine.
Leah rested comfortably against Korif, it was almost enough to make her fall back asleep, almost. When she felt him shiver she put her arms around him and looked up at him. Sure, some place warmer. Maybe a little less relaxing. She said. Leah liked the feeling of being relaxed and having having Korif's arm around her, but she was almost to the point where she would drop all her guard, which was never a really good thing.
Back to your apartment, then, I guess? The Anuban winked with a smirk. Things always seemed to have a habit of pulling them back to Leah's place. It was odd. Maybe it was just the fact that they both preferred it to the safehouse, but Korif wasn't entirely sure. He glanced up to the sky again, the stars still standing out brightly against the black canvas.
Unless you want to go back to your place, I'm fine with either. She said, rising. She brushed a few strands of black hair from her face and looked up at the stars as well. She was almost tempted to point out a few constellations, but some how she figured she probably should wait, the stars seemed a bit off in the way they were set anyways. The buds in the trees were beginning to open up, as though the full dose of the stars and moon forced them open. Much like morning glories only these flowers bloomed in a shape more akin to roses.
