Thi sighed. -Panik, kyna- She called and offred her arm to her bird. Panik flew and perched on it. Thi stroked Panik as she returned to their workspace so that they could work on stay somemore. Figuring out what everyone else had, Thi tried to say the commands alone, without her name. -Tsui Thi ordered Panik. Thi walked up tp 10 feet away before Panik started to show signs of distress. -Kyna- Thi called and held her arm. Panik launched effortlessly from the ground and swooped over to Thi.
Salme had stopped and watched the incedent with the trapped trisk. She had felt like going over and helping, but she honestly did not know what in the world to do, and the instructor had made it over to her before she could even move. Salme sighed and looked over where Inarik had been, about 13 feet away. But she was not there, she looked around. And then her mind gave her a "duh" flash and she followed the lead that the bird was connected to. There at her feet was Inarik. Salme sighed. "You gave me a scare!" She said as she leaded down to pet her bird. She offered her arm and almost just as she started to say the comand was the bird on her arm. "Inarik Og." She stood up and started petting the bird. This had all been getting rather monotonous. Inarik, Tsui; Inarik, Kyna....tsui, kyna, tsui, kyna. She let out yet another sigh and once again started the training proccess, that both her and Inarik seemed to be tireing of. "Inarik Tsui." She said with a slight hint of anoyance. She walked to the end of the lead, not bothering to keep eye contact this time. She turned around and met eyes with the bird. "Kyna" She said and the bird hopped up and flew to her outstreached arm. Salme sat down on the grass, putting Inarik on the ground next to her. "Lets take a break."
Ebony and Resina were getting along fine. Resina was following the commands and Ebony was praising her for it. That was until not long after Nafel's Trisk had been freed. Ebony sat Resina on the ground like before and told her to stay. She walked about ten feet away and then turned round and raised her arm out caling out Resina, Kyna. Resina flew into the air and with a screech, the silver Trisk flew over Ebony's head and straight for a bug that was flying around over by one of the trees. Resina was bored of sitting, staying and flying to Ebony's arm. She wanted to play! Ebony called out to Resina to return but the bird ignored her. Resina soon lost intrest in the little bug and flew into the nearest tree to preen her silver feathers. Ebony turned to the professor and called out Professor! Resina's flown into that tree! She won't come back! Ebony was both worried and anxious at the same time and this was clearly visable on her face as she turned back to look at the tree. Out of Character

Damn! Someone made havoc and ruined my plan...hehe... :P Oh well, it's still working :D

When Eka heard someone yell out for the teacher, she quickly called in Antirian, being a little paranoid herself. She wanted to make sure things werenÂ’t too serious before she resumed. She was also a little worried for Nafel and her Trisk once she saw who it was. Within a few moments it seemed that everything was once again under control. She let out a little sigh of relief. She found that these days she would worry about everyone and thing, no matter how drastic the situation. But before she was able to put her own trisk back on the ground another student was yelling for the teacher. That also took her a few moments to figure out what was going on, she then saw the hawk in the tree. She tighten her own grip on her trisks leash. She decided it would be best to just wait out this danger time they seem to be having. It was a good thing they did this on school grounds, if they were to go outside the walls and such they could get lost in the woods in minutes, but there was still the open sky to worry about. She stroked Antirian a few times, making sure that she was clam and wouldnÂ’t new anything new, but it looked like Eka was the only one worried around that. Antirian just sat on her arm preening her plumage. Out of Character

Ack, short pointless post. Turrush nodded approvingly. "Remember class, it's all about being calm. When you're calm, you can calm the bird. Communication is key. When you're paniced, you cannot communicate. Now, back to your work. Class is almost over, and you want to get in full training for the day." The professor retuned to watching the class, his eyes scanning the students. He noticed the playful, unfocused way Ebony and Resina were interacting. He knew that would lead to problems, but so long as the lead was on, things would be fine. When the bird fluttered up into the tree, He started to stride over. It only took him a few moments from when the student cried out for help. "Remember to stay calm. Use your brain. The bird is on a lead. Give the lead a tiny tug, to get her attention and repeat the come command. Remind the hawk that you are in charge."
Nafel nodded and smiled slightly at the professor's praise. Don't feel good about it, though. You could have hurt Asarian. Nafel stroked the small bird's head, and Asarian coo-ed appreciatively. Nafel smiled, and then looked up. She hadn't noticed the situation going on behind her, as she had been wrapped up in her own problem. Startled, though, she paid full attention to what was happening. It seemed that the bird had gotten bored and flown into the tree, and the owner had been too frazzled just to pull on the lead to make the bird leave the tree. Nafel now knew why the "come" command was so important, even though the birds seemed to think it was (quite) boring. If they were to get lost in the wild, there had to be a way to get them back. Nafel's legs were getting sore, as they were apt to do after standing for as long as she had been, so she sat down. Asarian hopped off her wrist and onto the ground, where she promptly took interest in some bugs crawling around. Nafel chuckled a little at the bird's behavior, then turned her attention back to the situation behind her. She watched to see what they would do, glad that it wasn't Asarian in the tree.
Thi put Panik back on the ground -Tsui!- She said firmly and began to walk away. It had been a long night for her. Thi stretched, she had been up all night watching the small Flitter chicks. Seeing Panik still where she left her. Thi smiled. -Good girl! Kyna!- She called. Panik flew straight to her arm and Thi gave her bird a gentle pat and snuggle. Panik nuzzled Thi. They had grown close in a short time. -Shall we go tell professor about your little friends now?- Thi asked in a low voice. Panik cocked her head. Thi wandered over to Profressor and opened her mouth to speak. -Professor, I really need to speak to you about something that happened 3 days ago.- She said -I know your a great breeder of animals and I really need you to look at these flitter chicks.-
Salme looked up from her spot on the ground to where the confused bird had flown into a tree. Her twin tails twitched slightly. Wow, I'm glad nothing like that has happened to me. She thought. There had been two accidents in one day and at those odds she should have been one of them. She let out a sigh and looked over at Inarik who was pruning her feathers during the little break. She gave a little tug on the lead and held out one of her arms. "Inarik Kyna." She said, he flew over to her arm obediantly. She tried to get up off the ground but found it difficult with only oe arm. So she transfered Inaik to the top of her head, and trying to keep her head still, she stood up. "Allrighty Inarik, Kyna." She said holding out her arm once more but the bird did not move from its perch on her head. She shook her head but the bird kept its old and stayed on. She tugged on the lead Inarik lost her balance and jumped onto the arm Salme had offered. "You are stubborn you know that?" She leaned down and patted the ground to get Inarik to the ground. Ok lets try and perfect this by the end of this class alright Inarik? Ok Tsui.
Of course! Why didn't she think of it before? Use the lead to coax her down! Ebony nodded and gently tugged the lead. Resina stopped her preening and cocked her head to one side, looking at Ebony curiously. Resina Kyna! Ebony said firmly and raised her arm higher in the air. Resina paused for a moment, obviously thinking about it, before taking to the air and swooping swiftly down to land on Ebony's outstretched arm. Resina looked a little on the guilty side as she looked at Ebony who was saying things such as that was much better, for example softly to the Trisk.
"don’t be afraid to use the lead to get their attention when they’re distracted and you have them on it." He glanced over the class, not yet responding to Thi. "Well, class, It’s about time to end this lesson… You can gather up your stuff and head back inside. Homework – Practice, practice, practice. At least 30 minuets a day, if not more than once good session daily. The next lesson requires you to be able to trust your birds off lead, so make sure you work with them. Also, new week we’ll be IN the aviary. So go there instead of here. I’ll see you in 5 days." He gave the class a wave and then turned to Thi. "Now, what was it you wanted?"
Nafell nodded at the professors comments, and began to pick up her things. She hadn't brought much that wasn't directly related to the class, except the small backpack/purse that held a few books and was always on her person anyway. She picked up her falconer's bag and cage, untying the lead so that Asarian could enter and sit on the perch. After closing the falconer's bag with one hand, she headed off towards the dorms, since class was over. Practice, practice. By next class I should be able to work with her off the lead. She nodded affirmatively, as Asarian made a chirping noise. Nafel didn't think it would be too hard to get Asarian off the lead, she was usually obedient. After all, the problem they'd had in class today had been a result of Nafel's negligence, not Asarian's personality. Nafel knew that no one had been hurt, and it was a learning experience, so she didn't feel too bad. In fact, as she left she was whistling a tune. Nafel made one last scan of the area behind her, to make sure they were free to go. They seemed to be, by all counts, so Nafel nodded and made a mental note to ask the professor about the torn lead next time they were there. Or, not here. In the aviary. Gotta remember that. She continued to whistle and hum as she headed to her room.
Thi smiled. She could finnally speak to him about the flitter chicks. Proffessor: 3 days ago one of my Flitters gave birth to 4 chicks. Two of them look perfectly normal but the other two have a strange color about them. I was wondering if you could come take a look at them. Because I've never seen the color before.
"Strange color? Sure, I'll come take a look at them." His eyes narrowed as he thought for a few moments. "You breed, Pastels, if I remember correctly."
