  1. <font color='#FFFF00'>Growling as she moved aside away from his charge then licks her lips. Stops moving and stands there watching him move, getting down what he does to move then begins dashing again. Before she was able to get far out away from him she noticed his tail coming towards her. Spiral roars aloud and swing her tail out knocking his away then runs at him. "Don't get to big headed 'dragon! Cause it will be your down fall!" Extends her claws and jumps at him again.</font>

  2. <font color='#FF7F00'>A quick dash back saved the male from injury and he quickly recovered his wits. A sudden bright idea popped in to his head and 'ductor swept his tail up in the air with a loud grunt, slashing his razor-sharp tail through a low hanging branch above him. With a low creaking noise, the limb began to tilt forward and in seconds flat it crashed to the ground, heading for a landing flat on the female's head. Meanwhile, he rolled quickly to the side to avoid the heavier part of the airborne log, again rolling back on to his legs at a safe distance.</font>

  3. <font color='#FFFF00'>She came to a sliding stop then looks up tolds the falling tree and glares as it comes down. Spiral noticed that she couldn't move so she dropped down against the ground and curled her tail about her body as the tree drops down ontop of her.</font>

  4. <font color='#FF7F00'>Joy was short-lived and momentary, for one can never trust one's eyes - Frisky knew this all-too-well and would not take any chances. He quickly ran to the far end of the severed limb and lit it aflame with the heat of his brightly-glowing tailtip. Quickly retreating to safe place nearby, he turned to watch the fire slowly work its way down the branch, columns of smoke dissipating into the air with a richy, woodsy scent.

"Mmm, we ought t'have ourselves a proper barbeque out 'ere, then!"

He glanced cautiously back at the limb though - pendragons -are,- after all, the trickiest sorts of beasts.</font>

  5. <font color='#FFFF00'>Spiral reappears away from where she was just as the tree hit the ground and looks to it when it conbusts into flames. Avoid the male dragon as she watched him from afar. Licks her lips slowly and waits for him to do something foolish. She shook her head as she dropped down out of hidding then creeps silently along the ground sniffing the air for this metallic bastard before he gets a second chance at attacking. Looking to get the jump on him if she was lucky enough.</font>

  6. <font color='#FF7F00'>Tox shook his head at the situation that'd occured.

He opened his mouth and bellowed out a fairly simple order.

    "ENOUGH!!!"

Chest heaving from shouting, he calmed down a bit. And then he spoke again..

"Ok.. let's think about this.. they want money and things, we want to keep our hides. Spiral, let's give them the money and get out of here."

    He paused.

"And in return.. they let us live. Simple enough."

Tox smiled. He knew his proposal simply couldn't be the resolution of this conflict. It was to serious, and the culprits too nasty. One or more of them would be hurt, possibly killed.

And this was how Tox liked it. The reckless feeling of the hopeless battle, of knowing you couldn't win but still giving it your all. Many who went down this road lost this battle and died. But in the end, it was the loser who triumphed. He or she had done what they'd intended to, they'd fought for a worthy cause. Or at least, they felt it was worthy of bloodshed.

He took a deep breath and thought. Tox had been thinking a lot lately. He didn't usually make it a habit, so this was a rare wave of mental activity. And his first thought was Spiral. He'd only just met her, but he knew she was bright, far stronger than he, and far worthier of escaping this fight alive. Not matter what he MUST get her out of this thing alive. He snapped to reality. She was ALREADY engaged in combat. He must act quickly, time was of the escence.

He shouted out to her, and for one of the first times in his life, he sounded concerned.

"Spiral.. be careful.. you deserve to live.."

He walked until he was beside her.

"So bakas," he smirked as he insulted the male, and nodded also to the female he was supposed to be watching, "You want to hurt her.. you have to get through me.. nothing personal, I just think it's a tad rude to be impolite to a lady."

He spat. He had hated saying that, but it was for the best. He took another deep breath, and he savored the sweet oxygen he inhaled, for this could very well be his last breath..</font>

  7. <font color='#FF7F00'>'Ductor grunted. There were many things in life that he hated, but none of them did he hate so much as foolish bravery. The show before him was a prime example of such behavior, and the mindless devotion to an unaccomplishable task seemed more than inherently stupid - it seemed thoroughly worthless, an expenditure of energy that would dissipate throughout the vast expanses of time like a puff of smoke, affecting nothing and leaving no memorable trace. Yet it seemed almost a common behavior among those who seemed resigned to their fates - with nothing to lose, all could be risked in an attempt at a minimal gain. Regardless, the display of affection was still enough to cause a thorough shudder of disgust to run through the male's body, and he peered over at Tox with an almost comically frustrated expression.

"Furr'nuff, sprog. Y'wanna die, that's your perogative, the lass can go free, 'tis your choice. Me? I think you're bang outta order, but I'm getting quite knackered from dealing with the both of ya, and the last place I wanna stay after bustin' out of jail is spot next ta' the cell block. So a proper thanks is in order."

Keeping a wary eye on Spiral, he ambled over in the male's direction, staying a safe distance from Tox whilst keeping low to the ground.

"it's a foolishly heroic thing yer doin', boy. While heroes may be mourned, nobody misses a fool."

And with that, he sprung forward, spinning around and slashing his deadly tail towards Tox's neck.</font>

  8. <font color='#810541'>The fight had kept her interest so far, but she was wary of messy battles. Stealth was much more her taste- you could steal all you wanted from a corpse, and they never knew your name. But at this stage, letting even one live with their names and descriptions was just all too dangerous. She didn't think that following the foolish males wishes was in good form.

She looks to 'Ductor, her eyes warning that to let them live would be a terrible mistake. She had the experiance to know that in the end, one of the pairs of crooks would be dead.

    Or back in prison...</font>

  9. <font color='#FFFF00'>Upon Tox interfering with her fight she shakes her head slowly stepping to the side. Rises up from the ground after completing the sneak that wasn't do any good. Growls heavily at the male as he lashed out at Tox then charges at him throwing her shoulder in the male.</font>

  10. <font color='#810541'>As both opponents lunged for her partner, Maharet seemed forced to join the fray. With a hiss she sprang forward, supple body slipping through space like a liquid. She reached out with her razored tail and cut off the femme, the arcing blade comming between her and 'Ductor. With another low hiss, she stared the female down.

"Don't even think it. Don't mess with my partner. I will kill you, which would be a shame since this male had the odacity to give his life for yours. So back off."

Her features were hard and intimidating, and she showed no intention of letting her reach the brawling males.</font>

  11. <font color='#FF7F00'>Tox realized death was inevitable, but he felt he needed to prolong it as much as possible.

THis was not simply because he was a coward. Though that statement was true, he wa also slightly worried about being double-crossed. He'd agreed to die if Spiral could go free and unharmed, but he seriously doubted that this male and his partner would be true to their word, he acknowledged the fact that these two obviously weren't trustworthy and might kill her too.

He snarled and came up with an idea. He could re-direct this fellow's blow slightly. In a quick, lunging motion, he moved forward into the male as he lunged and the tail-blade slit his shoulder instead of his throat. Blood started to trickle out of the wound that went from his shoulder to his ribs. He looked at the scarlet liquid running down his side.

    And he smiled.

He liked blood. He liked pain. Sadistic as it sounded, it was his way. He twisted his neck and licked the crimson off his shoulder. How delighful it tasted, it fufilled his need for pain and death, and he couldn't help but smile as a reddish stain formed around his lips..

He turned back to his newly aquired enemy. And he laughed. He laughed the laugh of the insane, his head thrown back and his mouth open wide as he hollered. Fangs and lips covered in his own blood, he looked as a thousand demons had possessed him, and indeed it seemed as though he'd crossed over the edge of sanity. Actually, it was more of a flying leap over that edge.

He'd truly lost it at this point. The adrenaline that was being pumped through his veins was all too much to take..

//OoC\\-- I'm not so sure I want to kill Tox yet. This is the only thread he's been in, and I really want a chance to develop his character further.

But yeah.. I think later on I will kill him. Just not now.. but his end will come.. >=D</font>

  12. <font color='#810541'>Maharet tore her eyes from the wily female in time to see Tox lick his own bleeding wound and fall of the edge. She raised her eyes ridges, unsure of how to handle a madman, but not frightened of his capabilities any more than she might have been if he was sane. He did not pose a serious threat, sane or insane. And Maharet certainly wasn't squeemish enough to be put off by his masochistic fascination with his own blood.

Finally, the fatale looks to 'Ductor, saying nothing, but conveying all with her expressive black eyes. They ought to take care of this, and quickly. Drawn out combat was not her style or to her liking, and she felt exposed so close to the prison. They had bigger fish to fry now that they were free. They should finfish this bussiness as quickly as possible.

All this in a few instants, after which she returns her warning gaze to Spiral. She was not to interfere, or Maharet would surely kill her.</font>

  13. <font color='#FFFF00'>Spiral comes to a sliding stop then looks over at the femme that pervented her from intersecting Duc. Growls slightly and steps back slowly from her tail and swings her tail about slowly glaring at the femme. "Come now bitch, that's no way to do things where I come from." Closes her eyes slightly and retracks all the spikes and stuff that was on her body then opens her eyes again. Grins and licks her lips slowly as she drops down onto her hind quarters into a sit. Reaches her forepaws out infront of herself and extends her claws as she stretches. Spiral winks at the female as she watches her.

"Forgive me if I was breaking one of your rules."

Laughs lightly and smirks as she continues watch. Sniffs the air slightly get a faint scent of Tox's blood. Then shakes her head as she hears him laughing.</font>

  14. <font color='#FF7F00'>A distant-yet-familiar scent wafted through the grass, up in the olfactory of the male and, triggering the spark of recognition in his brain, caused him to whip his head around backwards and face Maharet.

"Aye, trouble ahead of us, fuzz behind us..."

Quickly he stuffed his nose into his backpack, grabbing something large and metal in his teeth and pulling it out, tossing it on the ground. A paw fervently flipped a switch and lights on the metal device illuminated, with a soft whirring noise.

"Blokes, it's been a bloody treat, but unfortunately our time together has come to an unfortunate, sudden end. Maybe ya li'l chicken nuggets will escape with y'lives after all, but as I see it now, it'll still be quite the feat. Please, howe'er, accept this cons'lation prize." His trademark sadistic grin crossed his maw, "Haret, northwest feels right to me. 15 seconds. Let's make a point of not being about for the grand finale, shall we?"

And with that, sinew in his well-formed limbs coiled and released, sending him bounding off into the trees without another word.

Fifteen seconds later, with a loud snapping noise, electricity coarsed through the copper and tin veins of the living, breathing machine and made its way to the dense center of the strange device, packed with nails, shards of metal, and most importantly, several ounces of high explosives.</font>

  15. <font color='#810541'>With a sigh, she folowed calmly, rolled eyes and sarcastic expression in place as she muttered, "Don't have to tell -me- twice..."

She ranor all she was worth, a black streak across the desert, and finally came to rest as the bomb exploded, sitting back upon her haunches to watch the devestation. With a sly smile she turned from the scene, and contines to the northwest, her pawprints erased my the ever shifting sands.</font>

  16. <font color='#FFFF00'>Upon sniffing the object she drew back from it. Shaking her head indisagreement then dashes off away from the area where it was set to blow. Spiral got about half way from the bomb then it exploded, causing her to slam through a tree and get covered by small flying objects that just covered her pale fur.</font>

  17. <font color='#FF7F00'>Tox's laughing slowed, but didn' t halt completely. Upon spying the device, he ran like the coward he truly was.

The explosion itself came too quickly. Tox saw out of the corner of his eye the flash of light, and heard the sickening crack that was the explosion. Fire iluminated the woods nehind him and he felt the white-hot flames singe his fur. The force sent him into a large rock, and knocked him unconcious for a time.

A tad later, his eyelids fluttered open and destruction was all around him. At first, he didn't get up. The pain from his burns was unbearable. He groaned and then rolled onto his belly in a moment. He picked his head up and chuckled at the burnt terra around him. Then, he thought of Spiral. He wondered if the fae had been quick enough to escape the inferno. He sighed and got to his feet. The burns sent pain shooting through him, and he moaned a lot, but he was standing now, to say the least. He stood still for a moment, and then stepped forward slowly. Each step was brutal, and he felt like quitting quite early on, but he couldn't. Not until he was certain that no other nasties were around. And Spiral. The innovative femme might've survived, though Tox couldn't seem to find her. His eyes scanned the blackish rubble that was once foliage. He began to thoroughly question how anything, plant or animal could've made it through the blast.

Finally, he spied her, unconcious among some fallen tree limbs. She too was singed, and it wasn't clear to Tox if she was alive or not. He decided to investigate. After all, she'd stuck up for him during the fight, and fought on his side. He walked slowly over to the rubbled that she was covered in. He removed some of it and then shook her gently with one paw. He raised a brow as he waited for movement. Then he looked out to the horizon. The baddies who'd done this were long gone. Some day, Tox would get that one, that male. He'd meet him again, and when he did.. well.. who knew. Not that Tox himself was innocent as a babe, he was, in truth, just as nasty as the two who'd attacked them.

He shook Spiral again and waited half-patiently for a response of some kind..</font>

  18. <font color='#FFFF00'>Upon feeling the second touch of Tox's paw she opened her eyes suddenly and lifts her head up snapping at Tox's paw. Shook her head slowly until her sight returned to normal then looked up at Tox. Smirks slightly and lies her head back against the ground. Licks her lips a bit and winces in pain as a burn on her left side begin to flare up. "So...that was it...? A big boom then running like scaredy cats?" Coughs lightly as she lifts her head back up and winces in pain again as she places her forepaws against the ground and getting up. Looks over at Tox out the corner of her eye and looks away from him after seeing all the burns on his body. "Are you going to be okay?" Rises to her feet and stumbles slightly. After regaining her footing she shakes some ash and other things from her body.</font>

  19. <font color='#FF7F00'>Tox smiled. So she'd made it out alive after all.

"Aye Spiral.. they ran like the cowards they were."

    Not that I'm any different..
    He thought.

Tox groaned as he sat down. The burns were causing him more pain than he needed, and far much more than he'd have liked. He shook his head and pulled a small smirk onto his face.

"Yeah, Ill be okay. Hey.. About before. I only tried to help 'cause I'm in need of an assistant, and good ones are hard to find."</font>

  20. <font color='#FFFF00'>Nods slowly and moves to where Tox is then sits next to him. Reaches out her head and gently licks one of his burns, to attempt to make it feel better. "Does that help anything?" Looks up at him from the corner of her eyes then goes back to licking it slightly.</font>
