Baal followed him closely noticing Amaroq's health. "You sure your alright I wouldnÂ’t want you dying on me." Baal turned the handle but it was firmly locked. Damn, oh well if you can't open it nicely try the un-nice way. "You sure you will be alright 'cus this will get very bad soon. Oh and by the way this will not be subtle" Heh! Baalberith got his rifle ready pointing in the vague direction of the speaker while getting a good run up at the door. "Three. Two. One. Yarr." Baal charged at the door at full speed as he reached it he head-butted the door in the centre. The door splintered as his momentum carried him through. He rolled once before regaining his footing quickly shooting the crime-lord dead in the head. It was shortly after that he realized the body guards weren't here. Where are they?
Amaroq ground his teeth together and shook his head, letting a grin spread across his face. "I'm fine. You're just like Jynx; you worry too much." He glanced into the room and noted the lack of guards. He heard a gun shot and whirled around, teeth bared. Behind them stood a tall, slim pendragon in an expensive white suit. On either side of him were three hulky 'dragons, wearing black muscles shirts and what looked like dog collars. "I knew it was too good to be true." he muttered, pulling his daggers out. The slim pendragon laughed and snapped his fingers, sending two of the biggest 'dragons headed straight for them. Amaroq closed his eyes and widened his stance, listening to the pounding sound of feet and feeling the ground shake as they came closer. Let's hope this works.
Baalberith knew he was too close for any trick-shots fixing his favored blade to his rifle, it's time to get bloody. The daemons linked to him yipped in their dark realm with anticipation, wanting the taste of blood willing the kill. He charged whole-heartily swinging his rifle making sparks as he went eventually he impaled the remaining thug against the wall, slowly pushing him up blood flooding to the ground like a waterfall. Baal laughed in a deep snorting growl. "Heh pathetic gaurdians you have can't even take a little stab! He let the corpse down roughly to the floor turning to the other two, a slight hint of glee in his eyes. He took off the knife flinging it into a thugs neck sticking him to a rail spine splintered. Walking towards the center of the room blood soaked laughing deeply, he was obviously insulting the slim 'dragon. "Your next lanky, sorry about your double easy to mistake." Baal had taken all the attention in the room away from Amaroq. Time for the assassin to shine, I hope I've done enough distraction making.
Amaroq, keeping his eyes closed, jumped up to the beams criss-crossing the roof as Baal killed the guards, distracting the slim pendragon with insults. His entire body trembled as he hung right above the 'dragon and Baal. "Sorry if I hit you Baal, but this has to be done." He muttered. He opened his wings and, giving in to primal instinct, swooped down and attacked the slim 'dragon with just his claws. The dragon screamed in pain as Amaroq ripped open his back and pulled hard on the spine, snapping it in two. The pain in his left shoulder turned to a throbbing, numb feeling as he snapped the dragons neck. By the time he was done, you couldn't tell that the heap of bones, blood, and torn muscle had ever been a 'dragon. He opened his eyes. The fire in them flared for a moment when he saw Baal, but then he remembered it was his partner. He relaxed and slowly regained control of himself. Amaroq wiped his paws on his jeans, watching the blood stain the fabric. Looking at Baal, he grinned. "That's what happens when someone pisses me off."
Baalberith surveyed the gore and damage around him. He was impressed by Amaroq's fury and handy work. Looks like they picked the wrong one to use in their fun. Slowly he checked if this was the real crime-lord leafing through the bits of organs and other flesh, eventually he found a ID card. Wiping the blood and bile off it the name "Umsymey Nujulassea" was barely readable heh seems like we got him then. "Heh looks like we got the right one, better call the coppers and have a bath." Baal took out a blood soaked phone dialing the preset number "It's time, code word "blood" I say again "blood"." He ran over to on of the fallen guards pulling the knife out of the neck, then running to the window which was broken. "Amaroq it's time to go, we'll go to the pub we met at have a few pints, a bath, and drink over our new found wealth. Eh? It ain't far."
Amaroq watched as Baal dug through the remains of the 'dragon's body. "Yeah, okay. You sure people aren't going to scream at the sight of us?" He laughed, enjoying the thought a little too much. He followed Baal to the window before remembering his shoulder. "What do ya know. My shoulder's better." He climbed through the window, spreading his blood-soaked wings and gliding to the bottom. As soon as his feet touched the dirt, he saw cops running around arresting everyone. How close were they? He wondered as he stated to climb over a fence. He paused, looking up at Baal. "Coming?" He asked.
Baal watched Amaroq glide down envying the fact that he didn't have wings. "Oh well time to jump." Baalberith jumped out falling in a crouch and landed next to Amaroq with a soft thud. He too looked at the cops running to and fro. Better get out of here quick. Baal and Amaroq took the longer way to the pub keeping to the shadows, after all people would start thinking they were murderous scum which of course they weren't. Once they reached the pub he took Amaroq to one side while removing his jacket. "You wait here I'll go in and get the rooms sorted since im less covered in blood, once thats done I'll walk out to signal that it's time for you to fly in the window okay?"
Amaroq nodded and watched Baal go inside. He hid in an alley to one side of the pub, wondering what Jynx would say if she saw him now. He slipped his hand inside his pocket, fingering the diamonds there, and waited for Baal's signal.
Baal walked in casually with a relaxed look on his face He stood at the services desk near the bar dinging the bell madly waiting for a response. After a little while a tired out of shape green pendragon came running up to the desk leaning against it panting. Once he regained some decency he look at Baal with a questioning look. "May I help you?" Baalberith grinned at he manager. "Yes you can I suppose I'd like two single bed room with a bathroom each preferably next door to each-other. My associate will be here soon. I already know the price as I've looked at the list while waiting for you to appear." He handed the manager a bundle of notes hat had escaped the blood, and signed the receipt. "Im just gonna make a call outside be a minute. Oh and that bell does work doesn't it 'cus you took a fair bit of time to arrive?" Baal walked out chuckling, spotting Amaroq in the shadows he took out his phone pretending to talk to it. He also tilted his head to the window to go through and winked. After a few minutes he walked back in and up the stairs to meet his partner.
Amaroq noticed Baal tilt his head toward the window and spread his wings, flying through and landing with an audible thunk. He noticed the bathroom and walked in, pulling his clothes off and getting in the shower. He watched the blood run down the drain, holding himself up with one hand against the wall. The water massaged his aching muscles, and he closed his eyes and sighed.
Baal heard Amaroq land and decided to leave him for a while. He walked into his room and ran a warm bath as it was filling he slowly cleaned his rifle clearing the gore from the muzzle. Once that was done he went to take the diamonds out of his suit and clean it, filling the sink in warm water he left it to soak. Climbing into the bath letting the hot water surround him clearing, cleansing, purifiying his scales. He sighed loudly as the blood and salt left the recesses between the scales. He needed that. Baal got out pulling the plug as he did watching the blooded water leave, he then started drying his suits trousers with a hair dryer that he found. "Thats much better." He hid the diamonds behind the sink and left the room leaving the jacket to soak. Walking past Amaroq's room he stopped to knock three times. "Hey I'm going down meet you where I was before, don't be too long and don't forget to hid the payment somewhere after all we are in the Terhesian Port." He slowly walked down the stairs for a drink he deserved at least a few pints.
Amaroq slowly opened his eyes when he heard Baal knock. He turned off the water and climbed out, shaking himself and studying the blood soaked pants. "Those won't work. The stains will never come out." He muttered, rummaging in the closet until he found another pair of jeans. They seemed too...business like. He ripped a whole in them at the knees and pulled them on. Walking downstairs, he glanced at the surprised manager before walking over to Baal. The diamonds were still in his pocket; he didn't trust the maids that cleaned those rooms. Dropping into a chair, he leaned back and closed his eyes once more.
Baal watched Amaroq as he sat noticing his fur was spotless, heh scales are easier to clean. He slowly drank his shot of strong liquor, he dearly missed it but this was a one off, a treat. "So Amaroq looks like I found you a job most suited to you and plenty of fun too, heh." He looked at he gouge his knife had made earlier that evening, remembering something. "Heh that should keep you and Jynx going for a while eh?" "I loved watching you work, very different." Baal relaxed for a while, a new friend and a new fight. Slowly placing the shot glass over the hole. He hoisted his last one into the air for a toast. "To a good friendship and more good fights may it never end."
Amaroq opened one eye and looked at Baal, a small smile on his face. "Yeah, that was a fun job. Might have a couple months off with the pay we got." He stretched, realizing he'd left his jacket in the cove. "Hmm. I'll need to buy a new jacket." He listened to Baal's toast and smiled again. "I should go. Jynx is probably waiting for me. See you on the next job." He stood up and slowly walked away, dissapearing in the crowd of people. END
