A small smile flickered over Cho's lips at the joke made at the obese 'dragon's expense. Thoughtfully resting a curled fore-finger against her chin, she continued to flit through the crowd at a leisurely pace, occasionally pausing to re-settle the wide band of gold chain-mail which adorned her slender throat and shoulders. She found herself back at the bar, and sighed. Almost everything had alcohol in it, and to be frank she wasn't up for a buzz at the moment. But, heh, what the hell? It was a party of sorts anyways. A tall champange glass clasped in her grip, she moved towards a rather abandoned corner, amber eyes flitting over the crowd. She sighed boredly, catching a quick glimpse of her 'bodyguard' before the half-anubi melted back into the crowd.
He huffed at Revol's jokes. His usual way of being polite but without laughing. As Revol patted him on the back, he lost his balance and his glass went tumbling to the floor with a crash. He looked down at it and smacked himself on the head lightly. Wow, did he really need to practice his balance or what.
Temyc didnt pay much attention to the welcoming made out to the people. He just merely followed the girl through the crowd till she faded away. Damn. He stalked around his tounge flicking out for her, smelling her out. Finally he saw her. Moving around so he was ahead of her and walking so he would "bump" into her. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tian on the other hand had listened to the the speech and found it rather funny. She looked over to the fat man Revol had mentioned and thought..possibly she could get allot out of the fat man. ooc: Pre can you play this guy out or should i find someone else to con? She gave Kira a soft slap on the behind as she walked away sexly into the crowd. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ DragMES moved around the underbelly of the building, he was lonley and wondered if he should go up.

Veaji gave little emotion when Revol made his announcement. She just listened. Even his little jokes made no effect on her. But in respect, she listened. Soon, the food are served, doors open to new rooms and her stomach was growling in hunger. How long had she gone without food? But first... Ah well, I would like to compliment you back but unfortunately, I cannot see you. Is this your game of hide and seek? she asked him. She moved towards where tables held food. And boy, was she hungry. Grabbing a plate, she made her way to picking random food and placing them on the plate. Soon, she was eating away.
Shadow of course chuckled to him self at her witty remark, And placing down his empty glass next to the others he made his way to the large table with some appetiser food, Knowing full well Veaji was there, Hey he might even manage to surprise her... Slowly he grabbed a plate and put a few peices from the baskets onto the clean porcelin. He wasa right beside Veaji now, She hadn't as far as he could guess seen him yet. Well, fancy meeting you here... He said somwhat sarcastically, a smile showing through the black fur. It was good to see her again. Hopefully she would dance with him later... either way he would at least have to drag her onto one of the ballroom floors. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The band had started up again after the speech, a soft slow waltz-like song... perfect. She had noticed Revol earlier, and had given him a respectful nod and a small smile. Hell she might even ask him to be their unborn childs godfather! If he was in a good mood, so she could at least leave with only a few broken limbs. The obscene thought of this made her smile in a wide pearly fashion. Looking up at shiden though, her humor was lost, And the loving grin she gave him began. Placing her paw upon his shoulder, she kissed him on the cheek lightly. Shall we? She whispered into his ear, revelling in the warmth and closeness of them both.
Why not He said, leading her onto the dance floor and placing one of his hands on her back, pulling her closse and beginning to waltz, flowing with her and the music. I don't like some of the looks you're getting. If anyone tries anything, just telepath me, I'll be there He whispered into her ear, inhailing her scent and enjoying the night, sending a glare at a few of the others, who quickly looked away.
Kiv scanned the crowd for her amaciated companion, slipping with what she thought was a marvelous fluidity through the crowd. Her kohl-lined eyes briefly alighted upon the main stage, but deemed the speech to be nothing of importance. As laughter at Revol's joke rolled across the crowd, so too did the light-furred Anubian move towards Kajy. With a wry smile and burning eyes-- though not with lust-- she held out a strong, thick-fingered hand. "Your Highness," she said, white teeth bared in a wild grin. "I told you I'd show up."

Out of Character

;) Please no completely OOC posts, Pre and Drac, m'kkies?

Flitting through the cramped quarters, Cho was releived of her mostly empty glass by (yet another) waiter, as she made her way towards what seemed to be the dance floor. She was standing with the other onlookers, watching the other guests pair off and step out in front of the stage, the older ones slow-dancing in a more conservative manner while the younger ones performed the 'bump'n'grind' as her mother would have called it. She lapsed into a momentairy daze, head bobbing slightly along with the steady beat of the current band. A hand on her shoulder made her start, crying out quietly in surprise. A few metre's away, Palekusa's ears twitched, and her hand settled on the hilt of her sword. Cho's hand was taken and she was spun around, guided towards the dancing throg by the arden which had suprised her. "Helfhyj!" she laughed, recognizing the rusty coated male as the son of another prominent family. They'd met over the summer, in in the few weeks before school had started they'd become fairly good friends. "Did I scare you, Cho?" he laughed, tugging her towards the edge of the dancers and guiding her into a slow placed, rather formal waltz-ish step. "Only slightly!" she grinned, pleased to have run into someone she was familiar with. Near the bar, Palekusa's hand slipped off her sword and her thumb laced into her belt, her other hand gripping the small shot glass loosely. She kept her eyes on the pair while she downed the bitter alcohol, licking her lips as the burning liquid warmed her throat and settled in her belly, sending licks of flame throughout her abdomen. Out of Character

ewww... icky post! XD

Kajy realised why he'd caught her eye so quickly...something was strange about them, they were alight with a queer fire. They stood out and burned with the lights of twilight...they were blue, but only just slighty. An ever so thin thread of spahpire ring-ed her eyes. It was strange he'd never noticed that before...and it was so bright. He coughed when he realized he had been openly gapeing at her. He noticed her dress and smiled, his sister had owned one just like it. The shades of red on their formal clothing seemed to match, only hers slightly darker acenting her figure and standing out against his. "You look, wonderful." She reached out her hand and his own grasped it, he paused and grimiced when she adressed him as royality. He caught her eye again blushing slighty, "Really no need for that..." He saw her simle and realised it was meant as a joke, he frowned for a moment before nodding. "I'm glad you did, I've never been to something quite this...diverse." "Rather exciting, no?" Someones shoulder nuged him and he found people giving them funny looks. He looked right back, until he realized that they were staring because the two of them weren't danceing. He bowed and held out his other hand in an anubin gester, "Shall we?" His comical smile reapered.
Out of Character

Methinks, thats everybody?... And yes, I got it, I'll try. No OOC postings ;p

While Revol dozed several floors up, Sanders and the rest of the team continued their meet and greets. Gregory was currently in the process of chatting with the leader of an assassins guild in Swaraj, Hunt was being bored to death by a foreign affairs minister, and Khuyt was off in a corner, doing whatever the hell he damn pleased. That was the perk of being the team's "magic user". It gave him more outside freedom than he should have. Sanders however, was trying to keep himself occupied by relaying orders to the kitchens and facilities, and staying close to the seemingly "lower class" people. The upper classes were always so snobby and boring, where as everybody else was entitled to a little adventuring now and then. He wandered through the crowd, smiling at the few people he was aquainted with, most being well known scientists or mechanical geniuses. He passed close by Palekusa, noting the sword almost drawn. His white eyes watched her as he passed, and then he meandered over and took a position leaning against the bar. "Scuse me Miss, you are aware this is a purely unarmed affair? Our security can handle pretty much anything..." He trailed off and followed her line of sight, to the couple off in the crowd. "Anything that anyone can possibly throw at your charge. Thats why we had everybody check in their weapons at the entrance." He tryed not to sound too harsh, knowing if he was just any other pendragon, the bodyguard would be able to slice him in half and continue her vigil, but he was the second in command of the organization, and rules had to be enforced somewhere... "Sanders, leave the lady alone, I really don't think a puny little sword matters." Hunt had obviously escaped his guest, and was now trying to talk with Sanders, finding him busy. "Come on." He raised his shirt, to show one of his guns strapped to his chest in a special holster, easily reachable if a conflict came up. Provin his point, Sanders looked over at Palekusa, and then back at Hunt, unsure of what to do.
Veaji was actually enjoying herself. Mainly because there was food around. She don't usually get a good meal in one day let alone in a week. Happily, she ate in silence, not even noticing that the songs came on and that someone was sneaking up behind her. When he spoke, she got a little surprised and turned, her mouth full of whatever she was eating. She swallowed and quickly clean the sides of her maw with her thumb and index digit. For a brief moment, her eyes showed that she was happy to see him. Plus, he was looking a little extra appealing today. But quick as it came, it was gone. She wasn't planning on letting her guard down. Even to Shadow. She did that once before and now thinking back, she felt like a fool. Did he think her one too? Ah... Got bored with playing hide and seek? she asked, offering a small smile. She continued to eat, this time a little more slowly because of... well, for obvious reasons. One being the 'dragon that was standing in front of her. So what made you come?
Shadow just smiled at Veaji, noticing the little spark in her eyes. She really was an interesting one. Popping a few more pieces of food upon his plate, watching as the guard built back up, Everyone had their perks... yes, i finally got bored of that game, thought i might come over for the food, and of course to annoy you... he flashed a smile at her again, she really did look stunning... He stopped his thoughts there, remembering his manners, and that he hadn't answered her last question. Oh, i just thought, it would be good to get out, y'know, help myself a bit with the whole social interaction thing... he paused to take a drink of red wine he'd picked up. and its good to have someone here i don't want to kill... Shadow said jokingly to her, running his paw through his styled hair. What brings you? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ She shook her head lovingly at him, still smiling. Sure enough she was getting looks, she had been all night, But she could handle it and if not then the security here would. Don't worry, i promise i will... If anything happens, But no-one will try anything here... She whispered lowly into his ear, letting her head rest lightly upon his shoulder. She sighed happily again, Moving easily in time to the music and Shiden.
Ok, but something doesn't seem right here. He said, something in the back of his mind nagging him, telling him that something bad was going to happen. He ignored it, this night was to relax, to take away all the stress of the past few weeks, including that god-forsaken trial that revol had put them through. His mind flashed back to revol's conversation with sanders, hearing something about a cassandra. I'll ask him later He thought, looking into nykjek's eyes, seeing happiness in them.
Drsuj, after walking away from the shattered glass, decided that for right now, he would move along in his quadropedal form. He now moved slowly through the crowd, unable to navigate as well as he was when he was on two feet.
Kiv hesitated, eyes doubtfully glancing about the room. She hadn’t danced in ages, hadn’t even walked in ages, and now he was asking her to do it in front of a ballroom full of pendragons? But… she had consented to go with Kajy, and she had known what attending the ball entailed. She really had to. “I… I suppose," she replied, the brightness in her eyes somewhat dampened. “But I really only know the traditional dances, and this music—“ she gestured towards the stage, "isn’t really suited to those steps."
Kajy saw her mood dampen and quickly tried to recapture it, "I could teach you?" He paused, "But if you don't want too...thats fine." He laughed thinking of the dances that were common among his people, they would be rather out of place here...and yet that might not be a bad thing at something like this... [OOC] Sorry it be short...I be in school, internet at home isn't work'en too great...
Cho smiled to herself as she was released by her friend, waving fondly as he melted back into the crowd. She was, as usual, completely unaware of what Palekusa was up to. The Granite-Harlequin was currently giving Sanders a withering stare, her hand resting defiantly upon the decorative hilt of her sword. When 'back-up' arrived in the form of another member of the Lost, she sheathed her partially drawn weapon with a sharp 'snap' of gilding upon wrought silver and leather. Wordlessly, she took the two small straps that were designed to hold the swod in it's scabard, and clipped them over the hilt. Crossing her arms over her chest, she looked slowly between the two ardens, he reply as cold as the look she was giving them, but tainted with a vague hint of humor. "I consider my sword more of... a decoration, sirs. A family heirloom I am too attatched to to leave in the hands of stangers. It will not be drawn again." At least now she was truthful. She didn't need sharpened steel to subdue an enemy, just a few quick strikes to vulnerable pressure points. "Unless you are interested in joining me in a drink, I shall be moving on." he tone was faintly challenging now, although the reason unclear. It wasn't well known that Palekusa enjoyed her liquor, and most of all, enjoyed participating in the somewhat vulgar sport of competetive drinking.
Out of Character

Just a note, I'll try and hang back, waiting until most of the people post. He had found himself a leech, a young girl of around 20 or so who wouldn't leave the black 'dragon alone, trailing him around as he chatted with politicians, other guests, and fellow members of his trade. She was unrelenting in her pursuit, but so far had said nothing, leaving David with a suspicious feeling in the pit of his stomach. Hopefully she wouldn't be too troublesome... Sanders looked back and forth between Hunt and Palekusa, and then, without another word, nodded, stood up, and left. Hunt watched him go for a few moments, the white furred head clearly visible among the heads of the crowd, and then slid into a free seat beside Palekusa, quickly ordering and drinking down a glass of vodka. "Ricky rulebook if you ask me, both him and the Commander. Don't know when to live and let be. 'Hunt, put that gun away, Hunt, stop getting in my line of fire, Jeffrey, get the hell out of my sight. Sorry he turned on you, and a guest too." He gave her a brief grin, and then quickly chugged another glass of vodka, still very able to get drunk in his host body, which was still alive, the nerves still kicking and connected to himself...
