"<span style='color:purple'>Yeah. At first, when she was just born, I hated her. My parents never wanted a boy. But, after a couple years, she grew on me.</span>" Amaroq smiled, remembering the little toddler that always chased him around. His smile faded as he remembered that night. "<span style='color:purple'>They were going to break up, though. Our parents. We would be separated, and I just couldn't let that happen.</span>" He looked up at Veti with haunted eyes, taking a sip of his own drink. "<span style='color:purple'>So I grabbed her and ran. Haven't seen our parents since.</span>"
Veti saw the haunt in his eyes, “Do you ever regret… on what you did?" Veti leaned back on his chair. The manager came by and laid the payment for the entertainment, which wasn’t enough to pay for food for one. Veti looked at and said. “You can have the money, you need it more than I do," Veti reached in his pocket and grabbed enough money to feed a family for three weeks and he set it on the table next to the club payment, he continued. “Here, I hope this will help you with your troubles." Veti gave a smile.
"<span style='color:purple'>Never. They didn't deserve a girl like Jynx.</span>" Amaroq replied, eyeing the meager payment for their performance. He looked up at Veti as he laid down the money, surprised. "<span style='color:purple'>No, that's ok. I just needed a new dagger so I could get back to my real job.</span>" He grinned back, pushing the money back toward Veti.
“Hmm… Suit yourself; I was just being good at heart." Veti took a sip and gave a glance at the money then he grabbed it and put it in his pocket. “Is there any chance that I could get to meet her? Just curious?"
"<span style='color:purple'>I really appreciate it, but I don't want people giving me money I didn't earn.</span>" Amaroq explained, finishing off his drink. He studied Veti, weighing his options, before he grinned again. "<span style='color:purple'>Sure. She likes meeting new people.</span>"
Veti finished his drink and said. “It was nice to meet you, Amaroq, but I do have to take my leave. See you around." Veti gave a smile before he went out the door of the club.
"<span style='color:purple'>Nice meeting you, too.</span>" Amaroq sat for a moment longer before he too left, walking through the black market and looking for work.
