  1. Averin looked at Alamu. “I… I can’t remember." Averin looked up at the sky, and it was getting dark. He looked at Alamu again. “Do you know how to fly?"

  2. Alamu pulled the thin, transparent wings from inside her shirt. "I know how to fly, but I can't really with these." She answered. A light breeze caught her wings and they moved gently, almost with a mind of their own.

  3. Averin looked up again. “It’s getting late; we both should be going home, now. I could… walk you home if you want me to." Averin looked at the street for a sec then back at Alamu. “Well, I could give you a lift by carrying or using a neat trick. If you want or we could just walk?"

  4. Alamu smiled, glancing over at him before looking up. "I don't really have a home. I think I'll just camp out here tonight. Thanks for offering, though." She smiled at him before pulling out a blanket and a pillow from her backpack.

  5. Averin looked at Alamu. “Well, if you want you could sleep where I camp out usually… it’s the most beautiful place you will ever see… and plus it’s close to here…" Averin got up and shruged.

  6. Alamu thought for a moment, then shook her head. "No, I think I'll just stay here. I still have a lot of things I want to think about." She stood up, hugging him before climbing the tree, dragging the blanket and pillow up too. "I'll see you later, Averin." She said, smiling.

"Oh, and thanks for telling me...and saving me when I was little."

  7. Averin smiled and hugged her back when she hugged him. “No problem… take care, Alamu." He turned and walked till Alamu couldn’t see him no more.

  8. Alamu watched him go before lying back and looking up through the leaves at the darkened sky. Soon, the gentle sway of the tree lulled her into a peaceful sleep, and she got the first good night's rest she'd had in four years.

  9. OOC: Do either of you mind if I joined? I could easily write myself out if you don't want me here.

    Character(s): Myarkri
    BIC:
Myarkri wandered around the lake, thinking back on her last few days.

The first thing she could remember was waking up near a big city, gashes in her side and a splitting headache. How she got there, and everything else in her past, Mya didn't know. She did know that upon seeing the city, fear bubbled up in her stomach, the panicky poison seeping to her chest, and then her legs and arms. Every single 'dragon that she could see in the distance represented another threat to her. Her hands/ front paws shook at the thought of staying even near Too weak at the time, emotionally and physically, to swallow the fear and look for some place to get care or food, Myarkri staggered with difficulty to her feet. Searing pain swallowed her side, and she clenched her teeth agaist any sound. Upon moving again, she felt part of a broken rib grate against it's seperated other half. Her head had been spinning upon standing erect, adding to her nausea, and she had fought the all-encompassing lightheadedness and agony so that she wouldn't lose consciousness. The nausea grew with ever slight movement, and after her rib grated against its other half again, she fell to her knees and vomited. After standing up again and slowly mastering her physical anguish, she had walked as far as she could. Whether that had been a few yards, miles, or feet, she hadn't been able to tell. After a while, she had collapsed again to her knees and fell into a sickly deep sleep.

Now, it was a few weeks later. The gashes were beginning to look infected, and the headaches had escalated into nauseating migraines, but there was nothing to do about it. Mya knew in her heart that she would rather die than visit a town or city to recieve medical aide, plus the fact that she had forgotten all spoken language, and even her own name was just one that she had decided to call herself. She also knew that she would probably die out here, whether it be from the infected slits in her skin poisoning her bloodstream or something else she couldn't fortell. Food was less of a problem. Myarkri was quite fast, though her poor health caused her to weaken almost instantly, and managed to catch edible creatures, and she also discovered that she could go for quite a long time without eating compared to her knowledge of other 'dragon's eating habits. Myarkri had become accustomed to walking around to kill time before nightfall, but today she soon sank to her knees, because the poisonous bacteria in her open wounds was slowly weakening and killing her. Soon things began to seem to twirl dizzily around her, and she thought she saw a figure in the distance... but before she could decide if there was actually someone there, she sank into that same unhealthily deep sleep that had overtaken her a few weeks ago.

  10. Averin was walking down the path towards the ruins of Chrysalis Cannon, with his wings folded to his back. Averin looks up with his beautiful amber eyes and he noticed someone on the ground in front of him. Averin rushed over to see if they were alright. When he arrived to the figure, he soon realized the wound on the body. Uh oh, this one is near death. He picked her up in his arms and took off towards the cave in the abandon city ruins.
Averin set her body down on the floor of the cave and tended her as best he could. I need Alamu for this type of wound, but at least I manage to get her away from death a little while longer. He sat down meditating on the floor of the cave on the other side from the sleeping thill.

  11. OOC: Um, I'll be joining in, if that's ok.

A cough came from a dark corner of the cave. It seemed that, while Averin was out, he had picked up a squatter. The youth tightened, hoping Averin wouldn't notice him.

  12. Alamu sat, crouched knee-deep in the water, staring at her reflection. All sorts of different thoughts raced across her mind, but her eyes revealed nothing. She could smell poison; it tickled her nose as she waited patiently for the thing she needed.

A sudden ripple a few feet away, and then she lunged. She came up with a fish and, satisfied by the size, took it over to the poultice she was making. I hate poison. So unnatural. I'll find them after this is done, she decided, mixing fish oil in with all the other herbs she'd collected.

After a few minutes, she picked it up and followed her nose toward the ruins of Chrysalis Cannon. She came to a cave and hesitated before stepping in. Her eyes adjusted quickly and she saw both the poisoned thill and Averin. In the back, obviously unnoticed, was a young 'dragon, crouching in the darkest corner. Alamu stared for a moment before she went to the thill's otherside and, glancing up at Averin, began smoothing the poultice on.

  13. Character: Myarkri

Mya woke slowly. Very slowly. But once she gained full consciousness, she gave out a blood curdling scream-roar. There were other 'dragons in this cave, and they were doing... something to her. She didn't really care what though. A sickening, yet strangely familiar fear washed over her, causing her heart to hurt with the intenstiy of it and making her body shake. Her racing heart caused the poisonous bacteria from the infection to spread even more rapidly. Despite her wounds, she managed to leap up relatively quickly, but shakily. The sudden movement and flood of terror caused nausea to sicken her stomach. Being around other 'dragons drew out her darkest terrors, she had to get away before something, she didn't know what, but something went horribly wrong. Despite their efforts to calm her, Myarkri attempted a panicked leap towards the cave's mouth.

  14. Averin didnÂ’t budge from his location but he did start to hum a tune that was exactly like a song. After he was done humming, he got up and walked to the entrance of the cave to view the city. Days are going by quick, and the war is comingÂ… I can feel it, but I shouldnÂ’t let Alamu know just yetÂ…

  15. Mnuu squirmed closer to the wal of the cave. He would have to wait until they were all asleep to get out. But that could be forever, and who knew how long it would take for them to notice him?

  16. Alamu shot up almost as fast as the thill, throwing one hand out. Instantly she was caught in an invisible vice, unable to move. "I understand waking up surrounded by strangers is unnerving, but you need help. Unless you'd rather die, of course." She stated calmly, holding the thill but not restraining her. She understood the fear; she'd run away from every 'dragon she met too, for a while.

When she showed no signs of stopping her struggle, Alamu sighed and pulled her hand back, dragging the thill with it. She bandaged quickly and let go. She shifted to lean against the wall, a few feet from the little 'dragon in the corner.

She gave him an unblinking look, smiling slightly. "You don't have to hide in the corner, you know. You'll probably get cold after a while." She pulled out her water bottle and offered it to him. "You look a little thirsty."

  17. Mya was stilled for a moment by the thill that had been tending to her wounds.
She's TOUCHING me! The red-hot terror inside her shrieked. However, the thought wasn't in actual words, simply an idea. Myarkri had completely forgotten words. It was shameful to her, as she still knew that language was what seperated simple beasts from sentient beings. Still, she could not understand a single thing that was being said to her.
Mya escaped the invisible vice holding her and raced on all fours out the cave entrance. She traveled quickly, but only got about fifty yards away before she blacked out again.

The dream that occured while she was unconscious was torture. She couldn't sense anything that was happening, just the shock, fear, and pain that whatever was happening was doing to her. The same sequence replayed itself over and over: Peace, quiet. Then heart-stopping shock. Dread. Horror, then fear. Each different emotion seemed to last eternities....

  18. Averin saw the thill running out and blacked out. He took off and picked her up and head towards the cave once more. Keep this up; youÂ’ll die for sureÂ… maybeÂ… He landed in front of the cave and brought her in and Averin set her back where she was before. Averin went over to his backpack and grabbed the bizarre red crystal. Averin walked over towards the thill and held the crystal over her. The crystal glowed and the wound was healing quickly. Just a little moreÂ…

  19. Mnuu fell asleep. He had gone without sleep for almost two days, and was exausted.

  20. Alamu watched Averin chase after the thill. She glanced at the little 'dragon and found him asleep. Smiling, she tossed a blanket over him and turned back as Averin began healing the thill with a strange jewel in his hand. She watched silently, lost in thought.
