Like I said, academics aren't that important to me. he said and waved his paw idly in the air. I'm quite slow in some of my subjects, though. But the teachers had so much patience. I wonder where patience comes from considering thousands of students they had to teach. Comfy place, nontheless. He turned his head towards Leuka. I would like to ask, what sort of place or school you're looking for in your travels. Maybe I could help somehow... since I have nothing better to do.
"I’m not…" She looked at him, smiled, then continued. "I’m not looking for schools. I don’t care ‘bout education and things either. Well… I do care about education, but, like… not schools…" Upon realising that she was rambling again, Leuka tried to summarise. "I want to learn on my own, really. It’s the best way to do it."
It was cute when she started rambling. Whoa! Hold it... don't get thoughts. Khuta nodded after she'd finished. I understand that. You're a very independant person. So tell me, I'm curious, how you're learning by yourself. Maybe I could get some tips from you. I can't even manage to hold a book in front of my eyes for two minutes. Seem too boring.
Leuka smiled at him flashily, quite flattered by his comment on her independence. Yes! She was independent. "Yeah, books are kind of boring. At leastÂ… some books." She considered for a moment the possibility that she could show him the alchemy books that she had in her backpack, but they were quite private. Besides, he certainly wouldnÂ’t understand the complex alchemy-talk and lofty diagrams. She gazed at Khuta thoughtfully, trying to come up with a response to his query. "Well, I guess different subjects are studied in different ways. You know how IÂ’m travelling and that? SÂ’life experience, like, but also subject experienceÂ… the more I see, the more I know about alchemy! ItÂ’s everywhere."
So different was this femme than others that he'd met. She was more adventurous and also, quite bright. He looked thoughtful for a moment as he re-run what she said in his head. Quite right. You make it sound as if school is a waste of time. he said. Now having a little curiosity about alchemy, he asked. Alchemy is everywhere, you say? Care to elaborate? I'm having a little interest...
She pondered for a moment, stroking her hair and blinking up at the stars. What was the best way to answer this without reciting most of her books before the night was through? "I can’t really explain in the technical sense. You’d have to be an alchemist to get it, um…" realising she may have sounded a tad full of herself, Leuka hastily added; "I don’t mean to sound arrogant, but alchemy is kinda… hard to understand from an outsider’s point of view." She turned and looked at him again. "But there’s other ways of looking at it. Like… mm… psychology or philosophy or something – or music. Whatever your chosen subject or trade is, you start seeing everywhere. Maybe you hear music everywhere. An artist could turn everything they see into, like, a piece of art, and so on… alchemy really is everywhere, in the technical sense, but for matters of interest I can say that I personally see it everywhere. Erm. See what I mean?"
Khuta took his guitar which he had settled down by his side before he lay down. He quickly strummed a few chords as soft as he can for he didn't want to disturb the quiet atmosphere. Yes, I see now what you mean. Alchemy must be a really magical thing to you. He lay flat on his back again and looked up at the stars. His guitar rested on his stomach and without realising it, Khuta strummed a few more familiar (to him) chords. If you can see the stars like this already, imagine what it would be like if you were in the desert or a field. It'll be vast! Now in the mood, he kept strumming and soon he hummed the familiar music that was going on and on in his head.
Leuka smiled. DesertsÂ… fieldsÂ… mountainsÂ… plainsÂ… thatÂ’s where she was going. And yet she was still here, stuck in her hometown with a charmer who didnÂ’t seem to want to let her carry start her travels. But she turned on her side to watch him as he fluttered a little tune, and stayed silent in the hope that sheÂ’d hear a whole piece.
He didn't notice that Leuka had grown silent. When he steps into his music world, he wouldn't notice anything else until he finally snap out of it. The piece wasn't a happy one. But it wasn't sad either. It gave of a sort of mystery feel yet relaxing. A strange emotion. He carried on playing that strange little piece, a piece he'd been working on and unable to finish all of it. But today, it was different. There were inspiration everywhere... everywhere... he should start his travelling. His parents must be worried... He stopped playing so suddenly it sounded like the song was killed. It took him a moment to collect himself. He turned his head to face Leuka, who was still listening, and gave her a small smile. "I'm sorry... I lost myself. You should have stopped me instead of letting me bore you to sleep." he said to her. Then, setting the guitar at his side, he sat up. He suddenly wanted to start looking for his family again. He knew that the femme beside him would like to travel. Thing is, he didn't know when she'd like to start. Too bad he didn't ask her earlier. He should have, though. He looked at her. "You know, I forgot to ask when you're about to start you plans."
Leuka lay back and let the music draw pictures in her mind. When he had finished abruptly, she turned to look at him again. "You're very good." She said, impressed, but she was sure he knew that already. And when was she to start her travels? "As soon as possible."
"Thank you." he replied to her compliment. Then when she replied to his question. He nodded and jump up. He swung his guitar over his shoulder which neatly come to rest between his wings again. "Then you should start now. I'm going to do it, anyway. I can't sleep in this beautiful night." He offered her his hand so that he could help her up.
She smiled at his enthusiasm, took his hand and sprang nimbly to her feet. "You mean youÂ’re going to start travelling now too?"
Khuta nodded to Leuka. "Yes. You choose the destination. he said, smiling. Then, after a moment of thought, "But if you want to go your seperate way it's fine with me."
OoC – Leuka and Khuta should have another thread. :) IC - "I…er…" She stammered. Leuka did want to go her own way, and she knew she would eventually, but she also liked this guy, and wanted to be polite. "Maybe…" She sighed. "Maybe we should go our separate ways. But I’ll see you again." She tried a smile.
There was a momentary pause as Khuta registered the words in his head. He liked this new person he'd met and would like to go travelling with her. But his other side tells him to let it be. He needed to go his way too. He laughed lightly and then settled to a simple smile. "Yeah, maybe we'll meet again. Good luck in your travels. Have fun." There was a small pause. Then, "I should go. Good bye" With a wink and a nod, he turned to the cafe door and set to go continue his travels. Out of Character

^_^; That was a little too fast closing... But yeah, they should have another thread! Erm... we done here, right?

Yup, we're done. :) Tell you what, I'm free now - I can start a new thread somewhere for them, <s>and I'll PM you when I'm done</s>. Edit: http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3825Here
