A low gorwling sound errupted from Amaroq's throat as he laughed. "It's obvious your sleeping. I mean what are you doing in here?" Amaroq put the arden down as soon as he said Jynx's name. "You guessed right, and if Jynx is messing with your dreams, I probably shouldn't jump to any conclusions." He grinned and picked up his dagger, which was sitting in a dark corner of the room. He turned and held out a hand, grinning. "I'm Amaroq, nice to meet you." He glanced toward the door and saw a very tired looking Jynx standing there. "About time you woke up." Amaroq said, laughing. Jynx ignored him. "That was kind of fun. You know, right after you disappeared it looked like the rocks grew teeth and legs. And the cave turned into something that tried to eat me." Jynx grinned at Fey.
Fey took Amaroq's hand shaking it once, it was a good thing that Fey was almost the same height. "Well it's a long story full of random things, thanks for waking me we got stuck in the dream world." In truth if he hadn't we might have never woke Fey went over to his bags rummaging a little before pulling out a orange gem. "It all started when I went into this desert to find these."Fey held up the gem with a smile. "But ended up being invited here by Jynx and having a little adventure, heh what a odd day.
Amaroq laughed, shaking his head. "Dream world huh? Don't try jumping off things to wake up. It doesn't work, and it hurts." He rubbed his arm, grinning at Fey. Amaroq studied the gem. "You could have gone to the Black Market. To find these you have to dig at least twenty feet under the sand here." he said, glancing at his watch. Ten minutes, he thought, and looked back up.
Fey too grinned more at the fact that this brother seemed a nice guy. "Oh I found out that the hard way lots of pain, as for the crystals I had to come to the source for more pure energies. Though that would explain why I couldn't find any on the surface" Fey'yore wondered if Amaroq was staying long or just here to pick up a few things.
Jynx rolled her eyes and went to her library. she settled down in one of the huge chairs and opened a book, beginning to read. Amaroq laughed warmly. "Yeah, I found that out the really hard way. Actually, I jumped off things so many times I broke my arm. Good thing you only did it once." He again glanced down at his watch. I'll be late if I stay much longer. He turned back to Fey. "I have a job to go do, but feel free to stay as long as you want. I might be back later since it isn't very far away." He made a quick sweep of the room. Satisfied he had everything he needed, he waved good-bye and set off at a run, disappearing into a cloud of sand.
Fey couldn't really think of any way to respond to Amaroq. He sighed loudly when the cave was empty once more, the sound echoing around down the halls. When the last sound of his sigh ebbed into silence, he turned slowly to walk meanderingly through the place. Why is it that if I am ever woken up I can never go back to sleep? He thought as he strolled through the green room in the vague direction of the "Secret library". "Jynx you in there? He's gone by the way."
Jynx looked up as Fey came in, smiling brightly. "Yeah, I'm here." She called back, putting her book away and getting up. She walked to where Fey was standing, grinning happily. "So...what do you want to do now?" She asked.
Fey smiled running a hand along the crystal encrusted walls. "Oh I don't know join you with the reading." Fey'yore smiled once more before running off back to the room he was originally staying in picking up the bags and sandwich box. He returned soon after closing the door behind him. "So erm what kind of books do you have here?" He sat down at one of the desks looking at some of her recent reads. Fey did have another reason to stay in the library one key being the aura of the purple room was almost overwhelming.
Jynx looked back over the shelves, naming subjects as she pointed to their section. "Science Fiction, fantasy, text books from all the classes in Janardan-those aren't very good reads, you probably wouldn't like them-and then everything else is named 'Miscellaneous'." She bounced back to her chair, flopping down and picking up the one she'd read most recently. "You might like this one. It's a bunch of folklore about the Tmu Desert. It can probably tell you about how those crystals got here." She grinned, putting the book down closer to him and running off into the shelves to get her own.
Fey'yore nodded slowly as she described the collection. Which was quite a big one. "Sounds good to me." He said with a smile. Fey made a mental note to visit from time to time, when he wasn't seeing Mia or doing work. Fey moved his arm over to slid the book across the desk. "Looks interesting." He spent a good few minutes flicking through the pages before actually starting to read it. Fey'yore's eyes glittered as he read a few of the tales. Sometime during this he brought out a very small notepad, no bigger that a credit card. Fey wrote down anything that seriously interested him, things that he'd wish to investigate. "This is very interesting." He looked up at her with a wry smile. Did she truly know what secrets this held? What treasures it could lead to? Probably not he surmised, she was only young. "If I find something useful here would you like to join me in a small investigation sometime?" It seemed the least he could do. Fey was the oddly rare honest type, she let him see this, as such he couldn't leave her out.
Jynx looked up from her own book at his question, grinning brightly. "Sure, that sounds like fun! What would we be investigating?" She peered at the book he was reading, trying to deduce which story he was on. Maybe the one about that monster that created the dunes and tried to swallow 'dragons whole by blinding them with sandstorms and trapping them in that place so he could rip them apart limb by limb, or the one about the sand fey who would either grant you a wish or eat you depending on their mood. Searching for them would be loads of fun!
