As they walked he couldn't help but hear the screams growing louder again. Something in his stomach had a good hunch as to where the study was located. But he kept his exterior un-faltered. They did not speak as they walked, all the real talking had been done with their powers already. He was hungry though, The excessive displays of power and the storm had worn him to hunger. He was parched. Xavius's robes seemed to be of the blackest black, they waved as he walked and it almost appeared as though he floated. The mask was indeed haunting and he could only wonder what sort of a face would need such hiding. He'd found a peculiar sanctuary this night but the night was still young. he had a suspicious feeling that there was still, much much more to happen this night. and not all of it, would be pleasant.
Medihv was a strange visitor, and one of the very few he really ever had. He could sense the darkness around the younger arden as well as the potential. With the customized straight jacket and belted pants, Medihv struck Xavius as an unstable but destructive force. Presumably, he would do whatever, whenever he wanted to. Or die trying. They arivved at the double doors to his library at last. One of the maimed opened the door, and Xavius turned around and ushered his formerly unwelcomed guest in to the room. The room was almost nearly as large as the organ room was. Many bookshelves cirlced the room on three floors. A grand fire place sat in the middle roaring with heated flames. Above it a dark tapestry of crimson designs and ruins. In front of the fireplace sat a dark wooden table gleaming in the fire light and two furnished chairs. The floor, a beautiful black marble. And sitting opposite from the doorway another door. This one black and metalic, from behind which came several screams. "Peruise my repetoir, if you will. Otherwise the food shall be here shortly." Xavius said as he sat in his usual chair. The left chair. "And do make yourself at home."
"The most disturbing thought about this is it seems a little to much like home," he thought, beginning to flip through the books. The collection was an astounding size, monstrous even. As his fingers dusted over the library many books caught his eye, some where supposedly non existent, or though long destroyed, he had copies of banned books, it was like being in a candy shop. His eyes flew over a copy of "Creatures of the nether" and a Medivh could not restrain himself from pulling it out and reading it. The book was on shadow creatures, creatures that supposedly had no true physical form, but where deadly non the less. his eyes darted over the pages memorizing facts and information to later pursue for summonings. Then he saw it, he almost missed it but he saw it. There was a symbiote creature dubbed "the black shell." It was an illegal creature for sure, most symbiotes are, but this one was guaranteed. It required injecting a combination of ink darkness and oil into the bloodstream, and a lethal dose at that. But apparently if successfully completed, the symbiote would essentially become his bloodstream and be able to amplify his body in many ways, and that, certainly sounded useful. He snapped the book shut with a book mark in place to remember the page before going to sit in the right chair. He stretched himself out and made himself as relaxed as one could with an overture of screams behind him. "It's an impressive collection," Medivh said after a moment of staring into the fire. He thought a moment before it occured to him. He was in the home of another black magic user. There was a chance that he would be able to obtain this symbiote by the end of the night. "how would you like to help me out?" he said, a wicked grin spreading across his face.
Xavius turned his head from the fire and looked Medivh in the eyes. He noted the smile spreading on his face and grinned behind the false face, such cruel facial expressions were hard to find. His luminous red eyes fell upon the book his guest was holding. "Creatures of the Nether", Xavius had a hunch as to what the other arden might want. The light of the flames shone on Xavius' mask. The screams from his work room continued. She's certainly taking her time dieing." Xavius thought to himself, referring to the source of the creams from behind the door. He was eager to see how long the bleeding thill would last. The masked host, passing the head of his cane from one hand to the other slowly, continued to stare at the book in his guests hand. It was one of the illegal books he had acquired. It was one of his favorites in fact. He had a couple of interesting reads from it, and it had given him crucial knowledge years ago. Xavius contemplated Medivh's words carefully before he gave his reply. "I would know how I might be of assistance before I would like to do anything."
