"Please, just tell us why, Alex can't of done anything wrong, he lives almost like a hermit and his money all goes to keeping a poor house open." Pecratos started to look around for anyone else coming to kill his friend, but decided that it would be better left to the Arden. "I suppose your here to protect Alex then? Just ignore me if I'm in trouble, whatever he says." Alex was still focused on his magics.
"I'm not obligated to tell you the reason, I'm just here to prevent that utthyla from getting his hands around your throats. Besides, the less you know the better." Amaroq sighed, shaking his head and closing his eyes. Before the arden could say anything else, he leapt up, slashing at yet another assassin as it dropped from the tree branch over the younger arden's head. "It would make my job a lot easier if you could pay attention for half a second." He was getting angry; he was sick of this job, sick of these ardens...he just wanted to go home and make sure Jynx was still alive.
"Well then this should mke your job a bit simpler," Alex donned his armor and hit it a few times to check the seems. "I just made myself some armor. Now, anybody know a good safe house?" Pecratos was almost ready to explode. "Someone wants to kill a dear friend and you won't even tell us why!? WHAT IN THE FRONIMA IS GOING ON HERE?!"
Amaroq eyed the old 'dragon before turning to the one with armor. "I know a place close by." He turned, leaping away and grinning at the thoughts running through his head.
"Sorry pecratos, I say we follow him." Alex and donned the armor and bounded after the Arden. Pecratos swore and took off in the opposite direction. He had a place of his own to lie low and contact the authorities about the attempted hit. Plus, the other assasins out there might follow him instead of Alex.
Amaroq leapt through the trees, pausing on a branch just above the half-hidden building below. He glanced around before frowning. "Where'd the old man go? Doesn't he know we're in neutral terrotiry now?" He asked the arden.
"Your job is to protect me untill your contract is termanated. Due to the persistance of these assasins, I think I should start listing off my latest discoveries to see why someone might want me dead." Pecratos was winging over the countryside, full aware of the pendragon following him.
