Trin yawned slightly her eyes watering, glancing around to see if anymore people would come to the class. Looking back to the new femme, she smiled weakly. 'So, Kealer what brings you to the inventing class? Is it a particular intrest of yours?' She asked, trying not to be over enthusiastic, Trin had a history of doing that. She looked over at Nasul, wondering what his first task would be. 'Nasul, what exactly would we be doing in this class?' She asked this, cocking her head to one side, a small grin on her maw.
Nasul looked at Trin. "Well, its going to be a hands on kind of class" He chuckled, and pointed toward a few items, like wood and tools next to him, I'm going to give you task, and you're going to use your minds to figure out a way to complete it. The first one is too go across the river without getting wet. He grinned at her, How does that sound? The tasks well get harder as the class goes.
She nodded, looking over at the wood, a blueprint already forming within her mind. 'When do we start? Or are we waiting for more students to come?' She grinned, looking around briefly. 'Where is the river?' She asked this not knowing where the river was, well she was a new student she dident quite know where anything was really.
He smiled, We may start now, any other students may join us when they come. He points to the left of him. The river is over there, if everybody is ready, we can go!
She grinned, looking towards where the river should be. 'Im ready' She looked in the direction of the other students, studying them for their reactions. Looking over at Nasul again, a questioning look on her face. 'What will we be useing? Should I help take the equipment to the river side?' She chuckled softly, placing her hands in her pockets.
Nasul smiled, It would be good if anybody would help, I have lots of materials here. He picks up a pile of wood and tools waits for anybody else.
Taking her hands out of her pockets she rubbed them together. She walked over towards the equipment, bending over to pick up a few planks of wood and other tools. Wisps of hair flew around her face, much to annoyance, she tried to blow them away, but to no avail, so she decided she would just forget about it. She looked over towards Nasul. 'So, where do I put these?' She said sighing, heaving under the weight of the equipment, she had alot more strengh but was only putting in minimal effort, she's a lazy 'Dragon =D.
Nasul chuckles and points over to a tree near the river. You can put that stuff over there He went to go himself.
Maylina smile, that was a question she could answer honestly. “Well I like to keep my brain working by challenging myself to different types of thing and I want to get to know little bit of everything I guess." She said, well it wasn’t all a lie the only thing she wasn’t wanting to know more about was magic. That scared her. When she heard what the teacher wanted them to her it sounded fun. In away some of the exercises would be like ones she has done before, yet different. She started to follow the others then went to help bring some stuff down to the river. She then followed where Nasul had pointed.
She heaved the planks onto her shoulder, and started walking towards where Nasul directed her. Reaching the river bank, she dropped the wooden planks with a sudden thud. Looking around she made sure she dident drop the planks on anyones foot, or anything else. After checking that, she looked at the rushing river, the water looked ice cold, not very pleasant at all. She looked over at Nasul again, with big brown eyes, the water looked frigid and cold, and she did not want to fall in . She dident have to worry about it as much as she was, all she had to do was build a fairly decent means of crossing and she would be fine. 'Er, when do we start?'
Nasul had already dropped his stuff. You may start as soon as the others come He grins, But you may plan out what you should do to yourselves. He grinned and his eye flashed a light green.
o o c:- Hey Lautir, werent you rping Kealer? Im a bit confused, because now it seems your rping Maylina. Lol =D.
Trin nodded, sitting down on the slightly moist grass, inspecting her wooden planks. They seemed to be thick enough to hold her weight, but they dident look long enough to completely reach the other side of the river. She would have to join two planks, and try to stablise them so the weakness in the middle wouldent give in or snap.
OOC: take a look at her profile. Below click on mystery. It should explain it all there. I had a feeling this might happen sooner or later lol.
Maylina put the stuff down beside the rest and also took a glance at the rushing water and she herself didn’t want to be cold. She then looked over what supplies they had to choose from. She was okay with a hammer. But tough she might try to get away with a few questions first. “Nasul, how deep is the river?" She asked knowing it could help her if she knew but wasn’t sure if he would tell them. OOC: no problem, I would be confused too, actually I even get confused sometimes trying to Roleplay her lol,
Trin heard Kealer's question, then it struck her, she could do what the Dutch do, she could use a plank and 'jump' across the river. Her plan was to firmly embed the plank in mud in the river bottom, then she would get a decent run up and sprint, when getting to the river side she could jump latching onto the plank and quickly climb up and jump to the other side as it fell. It would take a mighty long plank, and alot of speed. But she had seen it done before, and was sure she could do it.
Nasul looks at the river, Its about 2-3 feet, not too deep. he states, I didn't really measure it or anything, but I do have a ruler, if you need one. He digs into a pile of tools and takes a wooden ruler out.
Trin took the longest plank out of the pile, which was about 5 m long, a massive plank, but not long enough. She found herself a hammer, another plank (2m) and some strong nails. She quickly got to work nailing the two planks together vertically, as to make a 7m long plank. Studying it she decided to take another precaution, she found some wood glue, and poured some into the area where she nailed the planks together, then she took some tape and wrapped it around that. She stood up, holding her plank, she grinned to herself. Looking over to Nasul, she asked him: 'Does this look stable enough?'
Nasul walked over to Trin and put his metal paw on the plank. It moved a bit, but it was quite stable. Very good Trin, this should be stable enough for you. Just let the glue dry a bit, and it should be good.
