The archon accompanying the group was already charging into battle. It swifly moved in front of Sevj as the bullets flew towards him. Moving with incredible speed, the archon swept the blade to and fro while charging towards the guards. The blade caught and incinerated nearly all of the beams. Even so, some beams grazed the creature of light. One even hit it in the lower left portion of its torso. Jusaki's Archons, however, are slaves to their masters and will endure much pain before falling to the ground. Jusaki poured his mind and soul into the forming of his archons. The process to create them could take many years, but the creatures are graceful and swift, the organic equivalent to a machine in some ways. If only the creatures could think on their own, they would be all the more devastating. Jusaki, however, even in his weak physical condition was still pulling the strings behind the archon in battle... had to pull the strings, so to speak. No blood seeped from the guards who were cut in half. The fiery sword of light cauterized their wounds. Auraron aimed as well as he could, as an ametur marksman, and made a few carefully placed shots to wound a few of the guards. Other than that though, he did little good to help the battle. His knowledge and skills with poisons was usually used with his aerokinesis which was useless for time being... --- The combined effort of the group was able to finish off the guards. The archon was most wounded, as it had taken most of the heaviest damage. However, even in its miserable condition, it lined up behind Auraron. It was obvious that the archon couldn't last another fight. Jusaki recognized that as well, but didn't want to leave the group without any help from himself. Jusaki didn't want to waste time switching out the two archon either. The rest of the Teslos needed to be saved before more guards were sent. "Let's go to the prisons, quickly," spoke Jusaki thruogh the archon. Auraron nodded in agreement and headed that direction. Aside from a bullet which had whipped across his head, Auraron was far enough back that he hadn't taken much harm. --- Kama's ears perked up from his prison cell. He heard fighting. A long moments later, he saw Auraron moving quickly towards his cell; an archon which was in terrible condition was following Auraron. "Auraron," spoke Kama excitedly. Kama presumably saw those from the magic guild who were presumably following Auraron. Auraron nodded, glad to see Kama alive and healthy. There were four more cells beside Kama's. They contained the other Teslos. Auraron walked over to where a guard was cowering. "Don't hurt me, please," pleaded the guard who knew that he was outnumbered. "Open the prison cells," commanded Auraron in a no-games tone of voice. The guard rushed over to a control panel and dialed in a few numbers. The cells sprung open. The real Teslos came out. Timaro, Kama, Jahhar, Sabata, and Sabato were all very pleased with the rescue team that had come to save them. Joyous words were murmered throughout the prison area as the Teslos started to talk about what had happened. "Save your words for later," spoke Jusaki through the archon. "More guards are coming. Auraron knows the way out, follow him, quickly." The Teslos present agreed and proceeded to follow Auraron who led them back to the main room where their previous fight had occured earlier. As Auraron came around a corner and looked into the big main room, he saw a fresh group of guards.
Sejv was busy hording guards from the ones they had just killed when the group began to move off again, it was quite remarkable how fierce they could fight when the situation called for it. He was glad he had done so though as when the reached the prison and the whole Teslo family poured out they all pretty much seemed to be weapon less. He dumped the laser like weapons in a pile in from on them, he had only 3 but it was better then anything. He also tossed his pistol into the group for anyone who wanted to claim it. "Least we have some muscle now." He said with a grin. He didnÂ’t fail to notice Karma too, although he didnÂ’t get on shockingly well with him it was good to see his "friend" again and patted him on the arm as they moved off again. He also didnÂ’t fail to notice that the Sabato clone was no wear to be seen, but their was no time to delve to deep into the matter. Guards needed killing. Sejv peered at the new group and sighed, he didnÂ’t massively like killing. It was a far to messy and demoralising experience, although he had to admit he did like the fight and adrenaline rush before though. One part of his male psyche he couldnÂ’t subdue. In one of the quickest summoning he had ever performed, he conjured up some strange four legged beast which seemed to have more eyes then it did legs. With out a word he mounted it and rode at the guards like a knight on horse back. His sword waving wilding as a volley of laser fire went straight for it, the beast however was quicker and dived to the side and continued its charge. It pounced on one of the guards and mauled him to shreds, at the same time Sejv rammed the blade though the chest of a guard. Before sending a jolt of electricity down it and into him, not only killing him outright but shooting him off the end of the blade with a mass of sticking up hair.
As the battled raged, Jusaki begin to feel better enough to assist in the fight. He got up and began walking towards the fight scene, his archon following closely behind him. Sabata grabbed two of the laser-pistols and Kama grabbed the other one plus Sevj's normal pistol. Sabata was no expert marksman, but he used guns quite frequently and wasn't a bad shot. Kama, being an assassin, also used guns from time to time and would be able to do some good. Timaro and Sabata were filled to the brim with mental energies. They hadn't been able to cast a single magic spell the entire time they were locked up. Now, faced with guards who needed to be killed, they were more than happy to unleash a flurry of devastating elements on them. Thorny branches grew up from the slinters that Magnus had earlier fired at the last wave of guards. The greens wrapped around the guards, the strong thorns sinking deep through their armor into their flesh. Spontaneous explosions decimated the guards. The blasts seemed to rock the base. "I could grown a whole freakin' jungle in here!" exclaimed Sabato. "Don't overdo it," spoke Auraron. He didn't want his siblings completely exhausting themselves on one fight. There could be other fights--probably would be others. Jahhar's bio-energy levels were well over 100%. The free electrons poured into the nanotechnology all inside his body. The machines began producing chemicals to increase Jahhar's strength. Jahhar unleashed a beam of energy from the palm of his hand into the chest of a guard, making a hole through the arden. Sabata and Kama fired off shots from their hand-held guns. "I'm a bit rusty, I think," chuckled Kama as he plugged a guard in the chest with Sevj's pistol. Sabata smirked but didn't reply. the guards numbers had significantly dropped in a short period of time. They had sent a few blasts towards Sevj and the rest of the group, but little damage had been done. Jusaki burst in from the other side of the room and caught the guards off balance again as he and his archon raced foward and finished the rest of them off. The battle was brief, and it was prehaps a miracle that no one had sustained any wounds, aside from Timaro being grazed by a laser blast and Sevj's many-eyed beast receiving multiple wounds. "Let's get to the armory and leave," spoke Kama as he thought of the sun katana and moon bow. "We need our weapons back." "We may already have some of the weapons, but we can still go to the armory," replied Auraron. "Let's not waste time though, more guards will be coming." The Teslos agreed. Jusaki overheard their words and was agreeable to them. The group followed signs and made their way into the armory... Two metal doors slid aside. Grenades, guns, any type of weapon imaginable lined the walls. "Let's stock up and get out of here..." murmered Jahhar. "Looks like you could make one neat fireworks display," joked Sabato. --- "They've breached the armory," spoke James' secretary. "Self destruct it..."
Both Sejv and Magnus wandered into the armoury with the others after the guard fight, a nice break from the action was actually very appreciated. Sejv's beast was mushy pile of goo on the floor, and was proceeding to disappear as he went in. Hardly a scratch on him so far. He walked inside the armoury and grinned, he had some what of a dread fascination with the beauty og guns. He didnÂ’t practice with them but he did think they were incredible pleasant to look at, thus a room full of them was a very appealing sight to him. His picked up a lasgun and hosted into some pose, testing wits weight and sights. Then, after slipping the gun strap over his shoulder he snatched a small laspistol and stick it into the holster he used for his old gun. Quite proud of his new found weapons, he hadnÂ’t really used many laser weapons before. He had heard they were often less powerful but more reliable and had more ammunition. Then, something else caught his eye. A small piece of metal, it was like a slightly curved plate of steel with a necklace around it. On the front it had a tiny inscription, "MGS Fortune". "Hmm looks interesting." He said as he slipped the thing around his neck, before suddenly turning his head to the side. ... Magnus was also exploring the armoury, although he wasnÂ’t fond of fire arms he couldnÂ’t rely on his magic for many aggressive spells since plastic was everywhere. Something that annoyed him greatly, and his powers were a little low too. So reluctantly he was looking for some kind of weapon, although he was determined to find something a little eccentric. He scanned the racks and such until he found something that appealed to him, it was a little violent though. It was a black gauntlet with some small claws built into it, but on the top side was a small built in gun. It looked like it was a laser but he didnÂ’t really care, it was just nice to have a back up. That and he generally liked gloves and gauntlets. Just as he slipped it on though all hell broke lose. An explosion racked down the armoury, the far end sudden was engulfed in flame and shrapnel bouncing of the walls as the gun parts shattered and flew. Then a large fireball seemed to work its way up the room in a series of explosions. Magnus immediately fled out of the room, as fast as hsi long legs would carry him. He might have been able to hold back just the fire but the increasing explosions would be too much energy to contain. Sejv too was running out of the room as fast as he could, the metal thing around hsi neck flapping around a little as he moved.
As soon as James had spoken and had ordered the explosion to take place, Sabata entered the room--Sabata's clone to be precise. "How the hell did you get into here?" demanded James angrily as he pointed at the duplicate. "I'm not here for chit-chat," replied Sabata (clone) coldly as he drew a handgun and pointed it at James. "I followed them... the real ones here because-" Sabata stopped midsentence and started a completely new one. "You know what? I remembered what you did. I remember my first living days in a science lab. Then you thought you could make me... no all of us forget!" James, showing no signs of fear, acting relaxed in fact, stood up and started talking. "Relax, please. If you understood the meaning behind all of the experiments being conducted..." James' voice trailed off as he gazed lightly at the enraged clone and shook his head before sitting back down. Sabata was about to open his mouth to reply, but a pair of hands from another dragon grabbed Sabata's head from behind and twisted it, breaking the clone's neck. The dragon who had stricken Sabata's clone smiled as the corpse fell to the floor. Such a wicked grin... --- Auraron was able to react as he saw the explosion coming. Ironically, just as he was beginning to recover from his last attack on the guards eariler, he had to re-exaust his mental energies again to set up a thin wall of oxygenless air in the pathway of the explosion. When the smoke cleared, most of the armory had been decimated. Fortunately, the Teslos who had been freed from their cells eariler had grabbed some simple munitions. Kama, a katana; Timaro, her moon bow; Jahhar, a backpack of grenades plus his twin eclipse blades; Sabata, an assault rifle; Sabato, a belt of shurikens. The simple munitions would be enough for the battle-eager Teslos. as Jusaki walked out of the armory, his archon which had eariler sustained heavy damage, was already starting to a look a little healthier. OOC: I'll let you lead for a bit. Be creative ;)
James looked at the corpse of the clone with a sigh, barely any emotion other than contempt. "Clean it up." He spoke callously to the shadowy figure, walking back were the secretary was. His foot steps echoed on the floor as he stood by the monitor examining the crowd moving along. "Release the blends on them." The voice of James again. "How many." "All of them." He said with the tiniest of smiles. No more games. ... Sejv and Magnus both looked at the wall of fire being halted effortlessly, he was more surprised at the lack of flying bits or the heat setting of the other explosives. But sejv was hardly one to complain about goof fortune, by the looks of it they could do with more. "Well now we just need to sort out the head of all this." Sejv stated as he walked onwards, his lasgun in hand yet lowered as he walked along. Eyes scanning every turn, it was then that he gazed on some dark figures lumbering like down the corridor. he jumped back behind the corner they had just come around. Waving with his hands to try and get very one to be quiet and stop, getting the jump on the guards was more important really. He packed his head around and glanced to estimate numbers, it was then he noticed something strange. Not only did they have no uniform, neither were they moving right. They seemed to lumber on like their legs didnÂ’t work right, also they were a little erratic. As they came into better sigh he saw their true horror. They were all random and twisted colours with mutations all over their body, some had clubs for arms others had large talon like spikes. They all had leather like skin and strange heads of varying size. They were the companies first experiments with cloning better Pendragons, mixing their DNA with animals and synthetic substances. And they had some mediocre results, they had created something which basically needed a lorry to knock it down. That and it had more efficient natural weapons. Down sides were it was a little bit crippled and it wasnÂ’t to bright. The shambled onwards, all 12 of them.
OOC: how can I apologize any more for the amount of time it has taken for me to get this post? Let's get this plot rolling again. BIC: Kama's eyes narrowed at the creatures. A war cry blended in with a roar shook the corridors as Kama charged the creatures with his katana held high above him. The metal sliced through the air, but the creature at which Kama had been trying to slice held up its gruesome arm at an angle. The blade imbedded itself deep into the calloused flesh of the brown, almost trolllike, creature. The creature yanked its arm, and Kama, who hadn't the time to release his grasp from the blade, was sent crashing into a wall. Sabata growled in fury as he unleashed a flurry of mettalic pieces at the 12 blends. The creatures' bodies shuddered and seemed to stumble backwards slighty from the deadly rain. Yet, after a few moments, they seemed to become used to the pouding metal, which merely imbedded itself in their thick skin and caused no real harm. One of the creatures fists closed, extended an arm. As the creature slowly opened its hand, a face was revealed which let out a terrible shriek. All Teslos, even the archons couldn't help but grimace at the noise which caused them an internal agony. At this sound, the 12 mutant-creatures shouted loud war cry. The creatures may have been crippled, but they sprinted towards the group at incredible speeds. As soon as the creatures had appeared, Jahhar had been scanning over them, trying to determine what they were, what their weaknesses were. One arm was that of one creature, the other arm was that of another creature. They were twisted. It was a "rubix cube" for any biologist to figure out how exactly these creatures functioned and survived. However, Jahhar was soon less concerned with the physical functions of the creatures as they came charging at his companions and him. Jahhar booted up some of his augmentations for the upcoming battle. as a creature came charging Jahhar, he crouched slightly and threw the creature over his back. The creature landed on the tile floor and rolled a little. Timaro was busy loading arrows into the creatures in addition to Sabata's flurry of metal. As she grabbed another arrow from her quiver, she heard a clip fall from Sabata's gun as he ejected an empty magazine and pushed another one into his gun. Sabato was too busy looking for a loophole in the creature's structure in hopes that he could manipulate their biological side. Auraron watched from the "sidelines" firing laser blasts at the creatures. Jusaki, wieling a shaft of light, charged into the fray with his archons. His blade sliced cleanly through the limbs of one of the creatures. The light was not something that could merely be blocked and imbedded in the creaturess skin. The archons' fiery blades were just as cruel as the two creatures double teamed a single creature to hack it into bits in a matter of seconds. The creature that Jahhar had throw behind him quickly got up and pulled Jahhar down onto his back with staggering strength. Jahhar's current strength couldn't match that of the creature's. Another creature tackled Sabata and smashed him into a wall, cracking the wall. Timaro narrowly avoided the fist of another creature which tried to maul her. She leapt back and fired an arrow, point blank, into the creature's skull. The creature gripped the arrow in pain as it tossed from side to side. Sabata sidestepped and tripped another creature. Yet, despite his efforts, another creature snuck up behind him and pinned him by his throat to the ground. Kama regained himself and slowly stood up. Blood trickled down his forehead. The katana shaft he had in his hand didn't feel as heavy as it had previously--the blade of the katana had snapped. Kama didn't like the feeling of helplessness as he watched his family fight. He charged into the battle with a piece of metal attached to a handle of wood.
Sejv stared wide eyed at the madness and chaos that spiralled out of control like whirlwind of destruction. The Teslo's were attacking the mutants with amazing valour and fearless courage for mercenaries, still it seemed they were having a tough time actually inflicting fatal wounds upon them though. Sejv saw Sabata fall as one of the mutants pressed him down by the throat, a gasp of air jutted out of his mouth in shock. He threw his body forwards in an attempt to tackle the thing to off him, he collided with the beast as his weight smashed into its rib cage. They both rolled off Sabata with Sejv grappling the mutant fiercely, his hands desperately trying to dig into the leathery, lumpy flesh. It was strong as an ox though and it didnÂ’t take long for it to put that into action against him. He found him self now in a position similar to that of Sabata's, being pinned and the thing trying to choke him. Magic though was his advantage and as he let the thing press down harder he put his hands into a quick enchantment and a burst of flame short forth. The small lance of heat hit the thing straight into its stomach and cleaved a large section of its intestine away. It howled out in excruciating pain and fell onto the floor spazing around, Sejv rolled to the side and dragged himself up drawing his sword out. He gasped for air as he pressed the blade through its eye cavity forward into its brain. Killing it outright. He looked around for another target and grinned as he saw one shambling towards Timaro with an arrow imbedded in it again. With a burst of speed as his long legs set into motion he charged forward. His sword became the object of his focus though, as he set the element of fire running down its length. Bringing the blade into an attack position he brought it down into the back of the creature, a large cauterised gash appearing in its back. Before he reversed his grip and dug the smooth blade through its upper back and spinal column. The mutant however, spun around with the blade still stuck inside it wrenching it from Sejv's hands with a yelp. The blade was still imbedded in it as it began swinging punches at him with enough force to shatter walls. ... Magnus watched in horror as the abominations became the centre of a massive melee with the Teslo's and Sejv. He could take it no longer, and he felt his own legs carrying him into combat with the up most urgency. He lifted his gauntlet hand up into the air experimentally, his staff held firmly in his other hand. He was a little wary of such new fangled contraptions with their guns and such. Much preferring the arcane arts to any other form of attack or skill, buit these desperate times demanded more of him and he squeezed the trigger built into the palm of his gauntlet. A spray of bullets let rip but only the first few went straight and actually hit a mutant with bloody wounds appearing, oozing some foul ichors. The rest shot out in line then seemed to move increasingly upwards as the kick of the gun sent his arm higher and higher into the air. A line of bullet holes filled the ceiling until dust and plaster was just falling on his head repeatedly. It was only then that he managed to pull his hand free from the trigger, staring at the destruction with a mix of awe and terror. He firmly decided to not use it ever again, instead just waving the clawed gauntlet at an approaching mutant menacingly yet rather feebly. So instead he pointed his staff at the creature and focused, it was no easy feat to use Biokinesis on such a large creature but he was a master after all. As his mind explored the twisting path ways that made up its veins and arteries, he found its heart. Somewhere in its lower thigh for some bizarre reason. With a large jolt of his mind and concentration he speed up its beating, the mutants heart working over time as the muscles began to burn. The mutant clutched its leg in pain before falling over and squirming. Then with an almost audible pop it died, its heart a messy and exploded mass that send a wave of immense blood pressure rupturing every major organ and every ounce of brain matter. He advanced onwards, conjuring up a brilliant white light around the gauntlet hand before swiping a perfect mass away from another mutant. The white light totally dissolving its flesh, a grin appearing on his face as he clutched its head in the power metal hand, then seeing it cave in on its self before just totally dissolving.
Sabata let out a sigh of relief as Sevj took the beastly burden from him. When Sevj had disposed of the mixed creature and moved on to the next one near Timaro, Sabata noticed that the creature was giving Sevj some trouble. Who was Sabata to not repay back a favor? Sabata recovered his machine gun and moved swiftly to the side of the thrashing creature. Right between one of the punches that the creature threw at Sevj, Sabata placed one of his arms in front of the creature's upper chest and then used one of his own legs to sweep the creature's legs out from underneath it. Sabata's tactic was enough to take the creature down. Once on the ground, Sabata didn't hesitate as he placed the barrell of his gun onto the creature's forehead and squeezed the trigger. Eight empty shell fell from the gun into a puddle of blood which had come from the now dead creature. The creature may have been well defended from a distance, but at a point blank range, it couldn't withstand the shots of Sabata's gunfire. Jusaki had finished off a creature, same with his archons. Sabata and Sevj's combined teamwork had devastated yet another two of the things, and Magnus himself had cleaned two of the creatures away from the face of Ramath-lehi... The remaining six creatures were not the least bit concerned that the tactics of the Teslos, Magnus, and Sevj had exterminated half of their own kind. Prehaps it was because they were too dumb; or prehaps its was because the creature's bodies, even those that were thought to be dead, were constantly reshaping themselves and remutating themselves to stay alive. The creatures, thought to be dead, began shifting where they lay on the tile. As Kama found himself back with his family, fighting, he noticed the quivering of some of the fallen creatures. Jusaki had decaptitated the limbs of one creature, including its head. The long, fat, and brown arms of that particular creature began to change shape. The change wasn't at first noticeable, but as the battle raged one, the changes became more obvious. Somewhere, built into the very molecules of these creatures was a will to keep living, like some virus almost. The piece of living flesh which was writhing on the ground like a deadly snake, lunged suddenly at Sabato's thigh. Long and slinder spines, like that of a sea-urchen, spread out from the snake-like thing and penetrated deep into the tissue of Sabato's leg. Sabato let out an ear-splitting cry and clawed at the thing, even shredding some of his own leg with his claws at an attempt to get the things off, to remove the source of intense pain. Jahhar held his palm up to the creature's head, who was on top of him, and fired a burst of white-blue energy. The creature's body went limp and Jahhar threw it off of him and got up in time to watch the slug-type creature leap onto Sabato. Auraron watched, still from the sidelines, so to speak. The way the creature's bodies reformed themselves to continue living and fighting, they were much like a race of some undead creature under the spell of a necromancer. The creatures seemed to be mortal at first, for a blow to their brain killed them. Yet, it seemed that their body found a new loophole through the fact that their brain didn't function anymore. It found a new way to keep the creatures animated. Auraron half-wondered if there was something else pulling the strings behind these creatures... Timaro hear Sabato's cry for help and turned. It wasn't immediately obvious what had attacked him until she saw the greyish glob attached to his leg like a leech. She fired an arrow at it which seemed to discourage it momentarily before it redoubled its grip on Sabato's leg. As the lower portion of Sabato's leg received less blood, it gradually became paler. Blood oozed from the sides of the creatures on Sabato's leg. Sabata was temporarily defeaned by the sound of his own machine gun fire to hear his twin's cry for help. Yet, as he got off of the creature he had just "killed," he turned to see his brother in trouble. Jusaki kept attacking the blends, but he wasn't focusing as much of his energy on fighting anymore as he was on thinking of a way to permanently destroy these things. Science had bent reality to what seemed to be its limit... but was this the act of science? or something else?....
Sejv was begging to breath a little easier when Sabata took down the swinging mutant with some precision gun fire, and he began turning the thing over to wrench his sword out. The tip of the blade had been extruding from its chest but had been pushed further through from the contact with the floor. But as he began to pull the blade back through and wide the sticky, thick blood off the thing moved. At first he placed it on a death spasium but it was much worse. As he was about to charge off again, gallivanting into the now falling horde a little. The mutant at his feet began to change, tendrils began ripping through its flesh and moulding out a new limb. Also the messy excuse it had for a head began to reform just with other gapping maws similar to mouths appearing in odder places. Sejv almost shrieked in shock as the new, spiky limb nearly tug itself into his leg. However he reached a little fast for it, not only jumping back but swiping the thing off in one clean stroke. To his horror the amputated arm then began to move, wriggling its way towards him as it seemed to grow legs. A moment passed when he totally froze in sheer panic, his senses soon returned though. With a wave of his hand and a focus of his thoughts, a blistering blast of fire engulfed the mutated arm, confusing it in the flame. With another leap of his mind the fire too jumped towards the main body coating it in a wash of now white hot flames. He prayed that would work. ... Magnus was quite proud of his magical cleaving, the mutants didnÂ’t seem to be healing the wound. Instead just growing back whole new parts, something that was begging to irritate him since he had been cleaving the same one for some time now. They were like a flood, constantly re growing and changing. For every limb he separated, if left unchecked would mean a totally new monster. It was impossible, his only hope would be to totally disintegrate one. Summoning up his light lore, he brought forth a torrent of the purest light. His hands waved in strange symbols and his staff smashed into the side of the creature bringing it to the ground. Liquid light flowed down like a river, utterly covering the thing like a bath. The intensity of the light burned into the creature far stronger than any flame. Entirely vaporising the blend away, nothing left except for a slight residue trace. Magnus took a deep breath as he surveyed the battle field, it would be a while before he realised that unless they could figure out something fast. All was lost, it simply was taking too much effort to kill the beasts and not all the Teslo's could stand against the onslaught. He ran back into the fray.
Sabata ran over to his twin so that he might help remove the vile creature attached to Sabato. However, as Sabata ran, animated body parts scattered on the floor twirled around like out-of-control fans and tripped him. Once on the ground, the limbs attacked Sabata. Both Timaro and Kama growled in frusteration at the same time as they watched one of their own allies fall as a result of this chaos. They both glanced at each other briefly before proceeding cautiously. Timaro moved towards Sabato, Kama towards Sabata. Kama was confronted by another untouched blend as he got closer to Sabata. His katana, which was broken, but also now razor sharp, easily took off the forearm of the creature as he swung precisely at it. However, the creature responded by throwing a fast, punch into Kama gut. Kama grabbed where the punch had landed with his free hand and stumbled backwards. The limb he had just cut off moved strategically and tripped him, sending him onto the floor. Timaro was having no luck as she too was confronted by an untouched blend. Her bow was simply not enough to destroy the creature which puppy-guarded her and prevented her from reaching Sabato who was now on one knee. Jusaki watched from the corner of his eye after he sliced up another blend. None of his descendents seemed to be able to match these things. There was nothing Jusaki could do though, except keep fighting. However, Jusaki caught a glimpse of Magnus desintigrating one of the blends with an intense blast of light magic. At least there was some solution to defeating the creatures, even if it was an exhausting solution... --- Auraron was nearly 100% confident now. Something from above was giving the creature's bodies endless amounts of energy to retain their life. Auraron slipped away from the fight. Whatever was casting the magic from above was the only thing that kept his family, Sevj, and Magnus from victory. The magic-caster needed to be stopped. Auraron wasn't part of the fight currently going on, so he had made up his mind that he would carry out the task. He would have told someone, but he was afraid of one of the blends attacking him and then he would have no way to get away from the fight. As Auraron walked down the empty corridor, he read and carefully followed maps. He made his way to a stairway. After going up the stairs, he shut his eyes and felt for the magical disturbance again. It throbbed faintly like a radar blip in Auraron's mind. He kept moving towards it. As Auraron was surprised, however, that he hadn't encoutered any other resistance. It seemed strange to him that everywhere in the lab would be compeltely abandoned like this. An almost creepy sensation drifted over Auraron, yet it didn't bother him. He had lived a large portion of his life in dark and abandoned tombs. Few things frightened him. As Auraron was walking, he heard a voice. "Who are you looking for?" Auraron stopped and looked behind himself. He was currently in a long, narrow hallway which extended behind him for 20 feet and in front of him for another 40 feet. Auraron started walking again. "Answer me!" came the voice again, angrily. Auraron pulled out his laser-type weapon and fired a shot behind him and a shot in front of him. Both shots hit the ends of the hallways. Nothing in the hallways could have been missed by those shots. Nothing standing in the hallway could have been missed... A dragon fell from the ceiling onto Auraron and hit him hard on the head. Auraron's vision faded into darkness...
It was Magnus instead of Sejv who it dawned on much as it had done Auraron, he had finial realised that magical means were keeping the creatures alive for nothing natural could evolve that fast. He mental reprimanded himself for not seeing such a simple thing sooner, but the mad adrenaline rush and the thrill of the fight was impeding him a little. However it made little different now. {A magic user is causing this, I'll shall see to him and you help the rest.} He mentally sent to Sejv was stuck with was a rather menacing looking toe that seemed to be growing legs and a series of sharp teeth. Magnus paid no heed as he set off to find this dark caster, his affinity for magic helped him greatly in his search. His mastery over the arcane arts meant he was could home into the subtle hints of anotherÂ’s magic, so accurately that he new were to head instantly. He took a very similar path to Auraron too, going up the stairs and that with a patter of gentle feet. He was considering going thought he ceiling but he had a feeling that he was going to need his magical prowess fairly soon. He entered a darkened room and his gaze was instantly drawn to the body of Auraron who lay as still as a corpse. Thankfully though his Biokinesis could feel the organs within him working still, he would live. His immediate reaction would have been to charge in but experience had taught him better lessons than that. Magrila shieanido, the words of power illuminated the room with the purest of white light that illuminated every shadow in the room. Nothing was left save for a dark figure clad in fine armour that seemed to have a dramatic over tone to it. Red and black with gold inlay set the caster out as he flaoted down from the ceiling, it was a show of pride really. Magnus looked over his adversary with interest, obviously a educated dragon with his regal features but he had that hardened look that came only come from pain and deceit filling his eyes. Magnus was sure they had seen many things and most would not be pleasant, yet his cared little. This man was causing harm to his friends. While his was contemplating all this the other dragon took it as a sign that he wasnÂ’t paying attention, he immediately shot out the most basic attack on all of magic kind. A fireball, the seething mass of infernal heat dissipated on a shield of energy. Magnus throwing him a curious glance as if to say, "Oh were starting now" be leaned a staff forward a a glimmering blal of light appeared at its point. The white orb shot forth only to be countered with a ball of equal mass, only darkness. Hmm a dark mage, curious. His mind was reeling with possibilities, so many methods of attack and trickery could be used against them. First action though was to lull, his light diminished and the room become darker and more shadowy, prefer for his plan. The other dragon grinned and disappeared into a shadow, before coming out behind Magnus from another shadow. Sending a powerful blast off energy into his back. Magnus stumbled and grunted, nearly falling face first if it wasnÂ’t for his staff. His grip tightened and his knuckled whitened, the fur sticking up as he laid his plan out. With the mage constantly shadow jumping though it was making it rather hard to achieve but then of course it couldnÂ’t be done with out it. What happened next was a blur, a series of attacks and magical parries were issued from each mage. They returned blows and again the shadow mage jumped from shadow to shadow in a invisible dark door. This time Magnus laid his plan into action, he had already drawn him close in now like spider on a web. His hand lashed out and grabbed the dark mage before he could say anything since he was only half way out of the shadow to the side of Magnus. Magnus heard a wince of pain as he put some strength into play, now Magnus was old but with his years came the strange ability of Pendragons that they became stronger with age. Yes he was frail looking but only looks and he easily snapped the wrist right around. He quickly took a crystal out of hsi pocket and ramme dit into the had of his adversary, before mubling the activation words and kicking him into to portal again. Just before it clsoed the words had their effect and the crystal burst into light, filling every part of the shadow world with light. And also melting itself permiantly to the mages hand. To shadow jump required too things, to be able to enter the shadow worlds with ease, and to be able to find shadow. Obviously he was in the shadow world now but he was stuck their with a instense light glued to hsi hand. That plane too was to distant for magic to work their too. In short they had seen the last fo that mage and hsi disgusting contractions of flesh.
It happened nearly instantly. With the dark mage gone in a dimension far away, the magic over the cadavers no longer had any effect. An army, once teeming with life, (even the blood had taken form to attack intruders) dropped to the floor. Only two blends which had not yet been touched remained alive. The thing alive on Sabato's leg fell to the floor, and blood poured down Sabato's leg. Despite the fact that the blends were nearly mindless, the remaining two seemed to vaguely understand that they didn't have the same advantage they had before. All of the Teslos, aside from Sabata, Timaro, and Sabato, recooperated and surrounded the remaining blends. (Sabata had rushed over to Sabato and was using scraps of clothing to attempt to bandage Sabato's torn up leg. However, Timaro simply cauterized the wounds so that they bled no more.) The blends were no match for 3 Teslos and two archon. Fresh blood spattered on the walls. --- James prowled around in his office. At this point, he was no longer worried about his cloning project, he was worried about the invaders finding something in the lower levels of the lab. They had come too far, surely they wouldn't simply take their siblings and go home. It only seemed logical that the intruders would want to find out what was going on in the laboratory. They would want to speak with him and... thoughts of the consequences seemed unbearable... --- Inside of a security office, an azul dragon stood, arms behind his back, watching the fights of these new ones, the Teslos and those from the magic guild. The azul dragon had black marks running across his face, almost like warpaint. The fur on the ends of his hands and feet faded into white. After seeing a certain number of the battles that had been going on all day, the azul dragon could begin to envision, in his mind, the way the intruders would react to any given scenario. As this particular dragon watched the Teslos finish off the last of the blends, a message was sent from James through a compiece in his ear. "Live today, fight tommorow. Lie today, kill tommorow. Do not make any further engagments." --- James had prepared himself for situations like this. He always had plans for everything. He typed some numbers into a nearby security panel and all of the lights in the laboratory turned off. Slowly, they began to flicker back on. --- James stood waiting in front of Magnus. "I, as president of this company, wish to have a peaceful conversation so that we might sort out this mess that we have spun each other into. I should hope that you wouldn't strike me down now. Come to my office so that we may talk." Aside from Auraron's unconcious body, there were no other dragons to disturb Magnus and James. The bait was set. What the true trap was would be nearly impossible to determine. The choice was up to Magnus alone.
Sejv couldnÂ’t help with the butchering of the last blends, he was too busy going to work with his knife to remove a certain spike that imbedded itself under his skin like a thorn. He winced a little as the sharp blade managed to cut free the aggravating piece of disgusting blend flesh. It was at that point he turned to examine the chaos... the massacre. Blood was everywhere and bits of bodies were thrown about and lying in senseless and random places, it almost made Sejv wretch. Almost. He had seen few worse things but he had been confronted by the horrors of battle on a fair few occasions. It was funny how most races liked to invent new and fascinating ways to kill each other. He looked over the ragged mess that was himself, his armour torn in a few places and the odd deep scratch where blood flowed freely. Slouching against the all, for support. Slowly tending to his wounds with a grudging resolve. ... Magnus looked over the body of his friend with confusion, he wasnÂ’t sure if he could just leave him here but he couldnÂ’t turn down the valuable opportunity that had presented its self. A chance to learn about their enemy was quite a desirable one, very desirable. He looked at the figure of James curious, he had an odd feeling it was a hologram but he wasnÂ’t going to test that. His mind was too busy calculating a pro/con list in his mind of whether he could defend himself adequately from anything they could throw at him. He had no idea, but he could be sure that he wasnÂ’t totally helpless. He could kill this one, if it indeed was a real person but that would solve nothing if he wasnÂ’t the top dog. Killing an easily expendable underling was as useful as murdering an individual fly. He decided on the risky approach. "Lead the way." He said neutrally, his mask never reviling any of his expression and the steel face constantly staring. He was thinking of enchanting the mask actually so it could do simple things such as smile. He mentally began strengthening his shields and wards, he was taking no chances and his staff was firmly gripped.
As the Teslos "licked" their wounds, Jusaki looked around. As his mind left thoughts of battle and shifted towards what now needed to be done, he noticed that Auraron was missing. Jusaki glanced at Jahhar. The cyboric-descendant would hopefully be able to use heat vision and locate the direction Auraron had gone. "Jahhar, can you use your heat scanning to find out which way Auraron went?" asked Jusaki. "Huh? Auraron left?" replied Jahhar. Jusaki nodded his head and enabled his heat vision. It was only running long enough for him to see the faint orange outline of foot patterns leading down a hallway. Then, Jahhar's vision snapped back to normal. "My bio-energy reserves are drained, I can't use my heat vision." "Surely you saw something," spoke Jusaki in a demanding tone of voice. Jahhar nodded and pointed. "I think he went that way." Jusaki left the more wounded of his two archons with the group and took the other one to search for Auraron. The other Teslos would have followed Jusaki to help, but they felt... drained. --- James led the way down the hallway and took a left. He typed in a passcode on a door and opened it. Once inside, he entered another code on a security panel on the inside of his office before walking over to his desk and having a seat. James typed in something on the computer on his desk and a simple plastic chair with armrests faded into existence in front of his desk. "If you would like, you may have a seat," spoke James to Magnus, who had presumably followed him into the office, as he gestured to the chair. "Our teleportation technology is almost flawless," he murmered, noticing a piece of the armrest of the chair missing. "Let's get down to business." James snapped one of his fingers. The lights dimmed and a white screen came down on one of the sides of the room. James' office was mostly bare, save his desk and the few random items on it. Once the screen had completely lowered, a presentation was displayed on it. The presentation was the same one which James displayed for anyone who wanted to know what his company did. It gave the basic details about how the company worked in high-tech labs to advance technology and create "a better tommorow for Ramath-Lehi." Nothing exceptionally important was displayed, however. After the presentation was finished, the lights came up and the screen was rolled back into the ceiling. "You see Magnus," James spoke, "this company has peaceful intentions to advance society. You intruded upon us and we were forced to defend ourself. I would like, if you and your friends deparated from this place. If you would like, you can take some compensation with you as well for your troubles." James typed something on his computer and a very large vault filled with gold and jewels appeared beside the chair which had appeared earlier. James didn't think Magnus would simply take the offer and leave, but he needed to start somewhere to get this settled out...
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Sorry this is so late, all my threads died or crawled to a halt and it was a little depressing. That and I have been distracted.</td></tr></table> Magnus watched the whole little display with mild interest, it was your typical business and beaucratic hype with fany words like "dynamic", boring really. It was amazing how it failed to mention the legion of armed guards and clones. He also eyed the James character, the so called leader of the company or whatever the diabolical place was. He thought about doing as he said and leave quietly but that thought only lingered in his mind for a moment. They had come far to give up now and they appeared to have the advantage. "Well if this is a negotiation then, I believe my side has the upper hand." he said quite firmly. "I want you to disband this facility and move on, but relinquish all cloning technology and all clones in your command. Including history of all clones you have every made. Then we shall take them to the authorities." He knew his demands were a little absurd but he wasnÂ’t going to let this person get away with what he had done. Before he had any time to react Magnus set to work on finding the others, with his mind he sought out Jahhar and sent him a telepathic message. {Come to me, I have found their leader. Home in on my mind.} he said firmly before breaking off contact, he need to concentrate on his foes next move. His staff was firmly in his hand and he mentally checked over all his invisible wards and protection shields. He was determined to end this but he despised the idea of this business mogul getting the upper hand with some fancy weapon. He also didnÂ’t want a legion of clones running in either, he was some what glad he still had that gun claw on his hand. He was terrible with it but he was certain he could mow down a mob with it. He waited and watched eagerly.
