Jayde let out a yawn. "Joy." She started jogging then started into her run. She hated sprinting, but she could deal with long runs.
Incendi watched. After she'd figured that Jayde had gon about a mile she abruptly released her from her majical grip and let her fall.
Jayde bared her teeth slightly as she landed, but made no comment. Wel, not aloud. Incendi is my auntie, she's a total nutcase... She snickered slightly under her breath, and waited for Incendi's instructions.
Incendi's eyes glowed dangerously and Miska quickly slithered away from Jayde. Incendi smirked, "Dodge this..." fireballs erupted from her paws and flew at Jayde.
Jayde's eyes widened. "Oh thes." She dropped to the ground and let the fire balls go over her. Her eyes scanned the area. She plays with fire in the middle of a swamp... what's the matter with this picture? Jayde smirked ever so slightly. This is gunna be fun...
Incendi waited, still chucking fireballs after her niece but even as she waited a layer of frost was already formiong beneath her feet, ready to spread at a moments notice.
Jayde muttered a few quick words under her breath and held a paw up. She had created a wall of water and it acted like a shield. Each time a fireball hit, the evapoarted water was replaced. She smiled slightly as the last of the evening light faded.
Incendi smirked. She'd been waiting for this. The frost that had been cumulating beneath her feet spread suddenly like wildfire, covering Jayde's Ice wall and spreading over and around to encompasse her.
Jayde's eyes widened. Oh crap! She barely moved in time to keep the ice from trapping her. She growled slightly in annoyance. I should have known... She smiled slightly. "Incendi is my auntie, she's trying to kill me..."
Incendi glared before launching another barrage of magic, this time in ice form.
Jayde snickered and dodged the attack. "I take it you don't like my songs, do you, auntie?" She knew she was pushing buttons, and she knew she'd pay for it... she was just wondering how long she could dodge before being hit.
Incendi snarled and unleashed a blizzard of ice cicles hurtling in Jayd'es direction.
Jayde smiled and dodged the icicles. "Aw, Auntie, don't tell me you don't like my singing." She snickered. I'm in deep thes... but it's fun...
Incendi snarled and her eyes glowed a deep crimson and the water in the swamp rose, freeezing into an iceberg as it did so. WIth a roar she set it over Jayde and dropped it.
Jayde barely made it into a slight nearby ditch in time to keep from being squished. The iceberg, though, did wind up hitting her head, and rather hard. For a moment, she made no noise, really too stunned to do anything.
Incendi panted slightly, calming herself down. She looked up and paused, listening for any noise. SHe cursed "Dammit! This is why i gave up teaching in the first place! I keep losing students!" Miska slithered up to the edge of the iceberg, ilting his head before deciding it was much too cold to ventuyre out on.
Jayde groaned softly. "Owww. That hurt. Why'd she have to go and drop an iceberg? And people said I have a temper." She snorted. "They should meet my aunt." She crawled forward to where she could see Incendi. "Hello. Miss me?"
Incendi glared and for good measure let an overhanging chuck of ice fall to Jayde's head.
"Aw, Auntie... Why'd you go and do that?" She squirmed out a little more, but she didn't move more than a few inches. She looked at Incendi. "Um, a little help, please?"
Incendi rolled her eyes and lifted the ice berg up, so that her niece could move from under it. then she melted it and replaced all the water.
