The puis passed and Teolun kept busy. The idea of being able to leave the city soon got her in the right mood to get her last few chores done. She picked up some supplies and met with her lawyer, not for legal protection, she was an accounts lawyer who managed a fair bit of khasi for her. She was a strange old thill that Teolun didn’t like much meeting with. And if someone like Teo thought she was a strange character, there had to be some credit to the accusation.

She came back to the shop on the third pui. Slinking down the alley way with a glance over her should and a pause at the corner to make sure that no one had followed her this time. Since she hadn’t had any trouble after the close call the other pui things had been calm in her life. Almost too calm for her liking. Which was why she was rather excited to finally get to play with her new toy.

She walked up to the gated door and pressed the same button she had pressed last time.

“Your most favouritest of customers is here!” She exclaimed, know that Lyts was probably watching on one of his secret cameras.

Lyts smirked as he was polishing the new paint job on the vehicle. It now shone like polished onyx. Walking over to the monitors he said into the microphone, "Favouritest customer? You don't look like my grocery delivery guy..." he chuckled and hit the button. The door sounded that familiar click and buzzing sound, "Come on in anyhow, you're prettier than he is." he laughed as the mic was still keyed and his laughter cutoff over the speakers. The small Anubi half-breed went back to perform final checks of everything in the vehicle. Tapping the small touch screen in the car making sure they all worked as designed. "Good good. This should be a good ride," he thought out loud.

As the door buzzed open Teolun strolled in, wolfish grin on her face.

“I’m also not bringing any groceries so I might just be a bit of a letdown.” Her eye was caught on the now shimmering vehicle that stood in front of her. “Not that it looks like you’ve spent any time eating in the last few pui anyway…”

It was much prettier now, way more her style, and way more worthy of its technical capabilities. Before it was a little rough around the edges and now it hardly had any edges at all. Now she felt like she had something she could treasure.

“Can we take it for another spin?” She spun around on her heels to find Lyts, having hardly given him a glance since walking into the building.

Lyts smirked as she entered the garage area. "No food? OUT!" he exclaimed in mock outrage as he pointed to the door she had just came through. He chuckled and walked around the vehicle slowly looking it over.

His bright blue eyes lifted as she mentioned how he probably hadn't eaten in the past few days and he thought a moment. Just the thought of food mad his stomach rumble loudly. Lyts offered a sheepish grin,"Yes, well judging by that pleased twinkle in your eye I'd say my sacrifice brought on the desired response." He smirked and walked over to the nearest wall where his hood hung. He took it off the hook, and had to flit up slightly to do so, and placed it over his head onto his shoulders leaving it folded back, "So are we off for a city drive or something a bit more free of obstacles?"

The one kind of relationship that Teolun could recognize was the relationship between a ‘dragon and their craft. Lyts’ commitment, craftsmanship and “sacrifice”, as he himself put it, was what she could identify with. She didn’t care about morals and beliefs. Well, she cared about them if they got in her way.

She watched as he easily propelled himself upwards to grab his hood, often forgetting his small size. Not only because she didn’t may too much attention to appearances but because he acted like someone much bigger. She became momentarily lost in thought as she tugged at a strand of hair that hung on the side of her face. Twirling the bead that was woven into it between her fingers.

“Obstacle free sounds like a good start. See what kind of power this new toy has.” She ran her hand along the dash, not surprised to find it flawless, she would suspect nothing else. She climbed into the left side, remembering that the steering wheel could be passed between sides. “Maybe we could even find a drive through for you somewhere.” She said with a chuckle as the door closed.

Lyts chuckled and situated the back flap of cloth over his wings neatly before hopping into the right side of the vehicle, "A drive through hmmm? Well perhaps. Those areas a pretty busy so on our way back here would be fine." He pointed to. A glowing red button on the dash with the standarf "on/off" symbol printed on it, "Go ahead, start 'er up." He used a small remote to open the bay door as he placed a hand on the wheel awaiting the soft hum of the electric engine.

Teolun took a moment to compose herself while the large garage door opened in front of them. Running over each step of the process in her mind. She often liked to fly by the seat of her pants, but when learning something new she could develop extreme concentration for the smallest details. She reached foreword and pressed the button Lyts had pointed too. The start was so smooth that she was hardly even tell the difference between the engine being on and off. The only thing that really gave it away was the light show the followed.

She worked her way back in her memory to remember what Lyts had done there first time out. She took hold of the T handle, hesitating over when would be the best time to push it forward. Remembering the paddle lever she maneuvered her other hand to rest on that, giving it a quick click.

“I think that was right...” She looked at the screens again, the over at Lyts for confirmation.

Lyts only looked over briefly and nodded slowly with a smile, "Perfect, just ease on the throttle as you flip the clutch lever right there and we'll get moving." His ears swiveled atop of his Anubi head taking in the sounds, perhaps hearing things that she didn't but by his demeanor nothing was amiss. he tapped the small screen in the center of the dash to bring up a couple of numbers, speed, direction and a small map, that displayed about 4 blocks in each direction with a blip on it that was apparently in a large square smack in the middle. Outside the square were rows and columns and other squares. Thin arrows separated the rows and columns apparently indicating allowed direction and several other blips appeared. White blips looked rather innocuous but now and again the map would show a blinking red blip, "You want to avoid those... they are the authorities. I don't really feel like paying them off again." he grumbled lowly laying his ears back a little an air of irritation surrounding him.

Teolun did as she was instructed, doing her best to keep an eye on Lyts, knowing that she would be able to read his expression of concern faster than she would be able to read the response of the vehicle. She gripped the clutch, probably a little more tightly than what was needed. She looked up at the screen, watching as the world was reflected back at them. Only in a much easier to read manner.

She eased up on the throttle and flipped the clutch, feeling the vehicle below her start to move. It was a strange feeling, somewhere between “I have so much power!” and “Holy Fronna how is this evening working?!”. She spent so little time in motorised vehicles that the experience was rather magical.

“Again, eh? I’ll try not to snitch on you too quickly if they take us in then.” She said with a straight face.

They exited the large front door and entered the real life race track.

“Maybe it’ll be best if you take control to get us to this ‘more open’ area before I try anything to... complicated.”

Lyts smirked and nodded at the suggestion, "Sounds good to me." Taking the wheel as it slid across and placing his hand on the throttle, having to lightly nudge her hand aside. With that he gave it a bit more and moved through the streets rather quickly, just slow enough not to get pulled over. A few lefts and a few rights here and there navigated them through the labyrinth of one way streets and dead ends until they were out side of the city proper. A couple of times he glanced over to see how the new car owner would respond to his driving. It was rather obvious that she wasn't exactly a proficient driver. She seemed to be a quick learner. "Alright, most of the obstacles are gone... you ready to get used to this beauty?"
