  1. Vlun looked back at Thi and answered her smile with a smirk. She looked pretty bad, and seemed to have swallowed alot of sand.

    "Are you all right?"

    He said with another smirk.

  2. ((OOC: My cat just erased my entire post O.o Now I have to type it all over again... yay -_- Anywho, back from vacation... Stupid cat...))

Tael sputtered and pushed his goggles to the top of his head. "Drink some water once you've expelled most of the sand." He slung his belongings off of his shoulder and placed them on the ground, handing Vlun the canteen so he could give it to Thi.

As the light grew fainter, the oldest 'dragon of the group turned to the cave entrance only to find that the opening had been closed off with mound of sand. Now the only light came from the 'dragons' tail flames. Coughing slightly, Tael turned to face the back of the cave as well as the rest of the group. As the light played on the wall behind them, he couldn't help but notice that the darkness extended past the glow given off by the collective flames of the 'dragons.

Tilting his head, Tael wondered just how far back this cave went.

((OOC: Dun dun dun dun DUN! I suggest there be cool ancient machina dealies as well as other nifty stuff in this cave/tunnel/TOTALLY-AWESOME-RUINS. But hey, let us colaborate, yes?))

Vlun exepted the canteen from Tael and ofered it to Thi with another smirk. He looked around the cave. the back of the cave seemed to go on back further, a sort of tunnel almost.

"Well looks like we are stuck here, might as well explore."

He stood up and grined. He started walking into the dark path that lead down under the sands of the desert, the flame down his back iluminating the path as he went. He turned to the others who still lingered behind him.

    "Come on now."

And with that he continued into the dark.

Thi accepted the canteen from Vlun and took a quick swig of water. Tsuj followed Vlun and daced around the cave watching as the light from his flame danced around the cave with him. Tsuj smiled and giggled -YEAH!- he exclaimed and listened as the ech raced back to him. Thi smiled and hacked up some more sand before shakily standing and following the others.

  5. Tael sighed and rolled his eyes. WEll this was lovely. He took one last glance as the sand-fileld entrance behind him and stood up. The sound of running, no, dripping water reached the 'dranon's ears and he walked further into the cave, light bouncing off the walls.

It was a wide tunnel, about two 'dragons could probably fit side by side. Something caught Tael's eye. "What's this...?" He pulled up short and lifted his tail to the wall, throwing dancing light onto the side of the wall. Small markings lined the path, almost like the letters of the Ramanthian alphabet, but different in a way. "Heellllooo..." He quired a cursious eyebrow and sat -plop- on his rump.

  6. The echoing sounds of Tael's voice reached Vlun's ears. He slowed to a stop and turned around, seeing the small island of light a little ways behind given off by Tael's tailflame. He was looking at something on the wall of the tunnel. Vlun walked over to one of the walls and brushed a layer of sand and dust from its surface.

    "Hello indeed."

She said to as much himself as anyone elce. He saw similar markings on this wall, he reconized them to be ramaithian but he could not for the life of him tell what they were or what they meant. He looked back at Tael and shouted down to him.

"Some temple or something you think?"

He said, a shiver running up his back and the flame on his back quivering slightly.

  7. Thi stood. the males had moved away leaving her shrouded in darkness. she moved to where the elder dragons were not noticing that Tsuj had carried on his quest of exploration/dancing along the first tunnel. Seeing the ruins, she touched one paw to them. A claw traced them. A look of confusion crossed her face. Her eyes widened This can't be! She exclaimed.

  8. "Well this IS interesting... and I suppose it could be a temple... but usually the temples were more open and higher off the ground. More luxurious too..." Tael murmered, taking his camera from his bag and slipping the strap over his neck. "I'm just hoping this place doesn't cave in on us..." The 'dragons snorted out some leftover sand from the storm and walked over to the others.

Lifting the camera to his eye, Tael blew some more dust from the walls and snapped a picture. The sound of running water still resounded in the tunnel and so he pressed onwards, following Tsuj and hoping there weren't any booby traps or some such nonsense in this 'temple' or whatever it was.

  9. Vlun followed Tael, looking left and right at the different symbols on the walls.

"Well we are in a tunnel, of course its not luxurious. Just wait till we get where it leads to. Bound do be good stuff there."

He contunued to walk, a new bounce to his step as his oen words dawned on him. He thought of all the things that truely could await them ahead. Most of his thoughts revolved around gold colored objects and various gems, never once taking into consideration that such things would be safely kept from pendragons like him. None the less he continued to walk, oblivious to everything but his gold shrowded thoughts.

  10. Thi's claw traced the mark bourne into the wall here. It was so familiar. Seeing the males moving on she sighed and followed. Tsuj bounced along ahead and splashed into a puddle where he made a big fuss of trying to get everyone wet.

  11. "Hm...." Tael murmered, thinking to himself. Water dripped from the side of the wall, forming the little puddle that Tsuj was splashing about in. The 'dragon furrowed his brow and looked on ahead in the tunnel. A little ways past the tunnel, laid a wider expanse of water which covered a good twenty feet of the tunnel. It didn't look all that deep though. "There must be an underground spring," he mused, placing a paw into the water. It was quite cool under the surface of the desert.

"I'll bet we can just walk to the other side..."

  12. Vlun continued to walk blindly through the tunnel, fantasizing about all the things they could find, all the riches it was bound to bring them. A smirk crossed his rust red fur and his flame grew slightly, this could only turn out to be good. He continued to walk until he felt something under his foot give way. He stopped and looked down at his paw, a stone under his foot had sunk partly into the ground. He looked around, his large ears perked, listening for anything.

    "Um.....guys..."

He said woriedly, unsure of what to make of this. Slowly he lifted his foot. He tenced, mucles ready and senses alert. Nothing seemed to happen. He edged away from it, hoping it had been nothing.

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
    <table class=ooc><tr><td>Booby trap perhaps?</td></tr></table>

  13. Thi looked back at Vlun. She saw him step away from something and she wandered over. -What's wrong- she asked worridley seeing the expression on his face.

  14. ((OOC: BOOBY TRAP! Muahahahahaaa!!!!!))

The elder 'dragon turned around and looked at the rest. Indeed. What was wrong? His ears stiffened and twitched a bit as he heard the faint grating of stone on stone. His eyes widened as the wall to his left began to move towards him. Another grating sound and the wall to his left began to inch towards him as well.

"Come on," he said sternly with the wave of a paw. Motioning Thi and Vlun to get over to where the puddle of water started. This wasn't a precaution to keep trespassers out. It was meant to either kill them or keep them IN. There was no use in running back to the entrance though. That was filled with sand. And so he kept motioning them forward while herding Tsuj from the smaller puddle into the rather large one. The walls were slowly moving in, there was no way to go but forward.

  15. Vlun looked up at Thi, his eyes wide.

    "It's this rock..."

He trailed off looking back down at the stone. Then he heard the noise too, and then Tael's warning. Vlun looked at the walls and they where indeed closing in.

    "Come on, hurry!"

He grabbed Thi's arm and dragged her further into the tunnel toward Tael and Tsuj. It was the only way to go, the other way was a dead end. He ran as fast as he could, which was increadibly fast, down the tunnel. He had no idea how far they needed to go, and he did not want to have to regret having taken his time.

  16. Thi was grabbed after Vlun. She ran after him. Tsuj had already jumped into the water and was splashing about. When Vlun and Thi had made it to the saftey of the water's edge, the walls boomed shut behind them. Thi buried her head in Vlun's chest. She hid her face from the sight of what almost killed them.

  17. Tael looked from the newly formed wall to the two 'dragons in front of him. 'Well done... very well done indeed,' he found himself thinking as he looked at Thi and Vlun there in front of him. A few drops of water landed on his nose and he stared cross-eyed at them. Tsuj certainly was making light of the sitution, wasn't he?

The tan 'dragon shook his head, sending the few little droplets off his nose and onto the stone beneath him. "Onwards once we're all ready..." Situations like this always sucked the personality right out of him. Usually he was pretty laid-back, easy going, but when he was in charge he couldn't act foolish. That's what he was, right, in charge? Tael pondered it and decided that he was mainly just in charge of the others' safety. That was all he needed to know. There was a way to get them all out of this place safely and he would find it.... while snapping some pictures along the way.

That was another thing, he didn't want his camera getting wet. The water did not appear to be all that deep, but there could always be some hole where things had fallen in. So Tael pondered how to best get across with the least threat of damage to his camera.

  18. blushing, Thi pulled herself from him and over to the water. Looking at her reflection, she tried to rub her face until you couldn't see if she was blushing or not.

  19. As Vlun stood in the water a chill ran over him. Water had never really been his best friend. But it did not look like they had any other choice. Wiping a paw across his forehead in releif he nodded to Tael.

    "Im ready."

He said. For once he did not charge off in front, he wanted to wait as long as posible before continueing into what looked like deeper water. He let out a sigh.

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
    <table class=ooc><tr><td>Sorry. Writers block. Havn't had that in a while....</td></tr></table>

  20. Tael looked from the water, to Vlun, to Tsuj, back to the water, at his camera again, and then the water, and finally Tsuj. An idea was beginning to form in his head. "Tsuj....." he began, still thinking over how tis would work. "Can I trust you with my way of life?" Tael slipped the camera's strap from around his neck and held it in front of him, looking the spastic little pendragon over. "Think you can hop on my back and hold my bag while I give you a ride across?"

Seriously, there was no way this camera could get wet. He would have to find someone to waterproof it one of these days, but that wasnt an option right now. What he could remember from his classes in basic Fronima usage were no good now. Besides, he didn't remember any of it.

The 'dragon looked over the little ball of fluff that he was about to entrust his camera to and gave a weak grin.
