Nafel nodded at the "cover story" statement. "Let's see... We can say that you got it from your parents, Nurano. We're supposed to go see them later on anyway. The don't speak Ramathian, do they?" Nurano shook his head. "The we tell her that it was from your parents who wanted to know what it said." She looked at the remaining stones. She picked out the black pair, their color matching the tabby stripes on her ribs. She held the box out to Nurano, as he took the amber. Nafel placed the necklace in her pouch, not wanting to loose it. She wrapped the stone in a bit of small cloth and placed it in there as well. Nurano put his on, the amber contrasting nicely with the black of his neck ruff. Nurano grinned at Eka's response to the earlier question. "One more? How about one of the ones on the other side of the hallway? You can choose, Eka, I don't think Nafel and I would choose anything interesting." He smiled at the smaller 'dragon and waited for her response.
Eka nodded. “Seems like a good story to me." She then put on her stone necklace and jumped up and headed towards the door. She then walked out into the hallway, she looked both ways making sure no other ‘dragons where up here. She then went to another door. She tried one door but it was locked. Instead of waiting for Nurano to unlock it she just went to the next. It was unlocked but a little stuck so she put all her weight agents it so it slowly slid open. Making an eerie creaking noise. She walked in looking around, this room was a lot smaller probable for just one ‘dragon. But it sure didn’t mean it was any cleaner. She sneezed a few times making the dust move around. She then waited for Nurano and Nafel to walk in.
Nafel and Nurano padded after Eka, Nurano carried the box. Upon entering the door, Nafel went into a sneezing fit and as Nurano entered, Nafel left. She came back a moment later and didn't sneeze. She'd cast a spell that set something like a bubble around her head so that she could breathe without going into a sneezing fit. Blinking, she looked about. Nurano set the box on the floor near the door. The dresser was different in this room, it looked to be standard school issue like the one in Nafel's room. Of course, it was rather a moot point because she didn't wear clothing, except when it was cold. He looked around the unlocked dresser drawers and found nothing of interest in any of them. The closet was bare, and unused recently. Nafel looked around the bed. She did a check around the sheetless matress, and gave a startled cry. "I think I found something... A journal, methinks." She held up the book, a pretty leather book with 'Journal' imbossed in gothic letters on the front. She opened the first page. It had a name on it which she didn't examine, for she thought it would be rude. Flipping to the first entry she read aloud. "First day of Tessera, year 81370. Old, then. 'I came here just a few weeks ago, and have begun studying my Primary Trade, Elemental Magic. My secondary trade is yet to be decided, I don't know what I want to do yet. I've been hearing screams at night again. My mates think that it's the nightmare again, the one about Silane. I'm walking among the caves where we used to live with her, and I relive it, her falling off the cliff. Then, I see a large black feline approach. She seems solid, but I've never seen her before..." Nafel trailed off, looking at Nurano. She looked back down and flipped to a page halfway through. "During my Journeyman class today, we did a fairly decent sized spell, the earthquake calling. As I did it I saw that feline again. It just sat there, watching. It, I guess she, told me her name. Tessinara. She said she was there to help me." Nafel traded an alarmed glance with Nurano. "You don't think... Luthano?" Nurano gave a quick nod.
Eka’s ear pricked up when Nafel said she had found something. For she hadn’t when looking in a few other places. She went over and listened to what she read out loud. She tried to piece together what was being said but she didn’t understand it much. She looked at Nafel then to Nurano, they seemed to know what was happening in this older students life. She wasn’t sure if she should say any thing or asked a question if they wanted to keep it privet. The only thing was her curiosity was eating away at her. “Come on. Read the name, maybe you know the person." Eka had never heard any of the names in the story. And she didn’t know much about Elemental Magic. That was her sister’s area. It sounded like the student had a hard life nightmares a cat stalker what had happen to this youngster. Well maybe she wasn’t that young. She had been training for her Journeyman class. “Who’s Luthano? A friend of yours." She couldn’t help herself. Her curiosity had gotten the best of her.
OOC: Luthano's her Spirit-form, you can learn more 'bout them on the fauna section of RaL, just so you know. ^_^ Â But... She won't tell people about them because she's not supposed to have one, lol. BIC: Nafel hesitated at the name remark and blanched at the idea of revealing Luthano. "Lutano's... well..." It was hard to give a satisfatory answer to Eka without revealing secrets best left unsaid. Besides, she couldn't explain the bond between her and her Spirit-form. "I suppose 'friend' is a good term. He's special to me. He helps me with my magic." She hoped the younger 'dragon would be satisfied with the vague answer and she continued on with the reading. "Name? Let's see... Here it is. I can't make it out." Her lie was transparent. "Fine then, you read it!" She handed it to Eka, for she didn't want to mess with being the one to read the journaler's name. Hear ears, however, stood on end, for she wanted to know who the fellow spirit-form owner was.
OOC: Ya I knew about Luthano already because ..I’m your Rp stalker! Dun dun don… No just kidding. I have kept up with Nafel’s story. I like to keep up with character I have read about. And I really like her story you have come up with.(I have a few of my character that I want to keep the plot going but I’m too lazy to get them started.) Eka is just nosey pendragon.. Bic: Eka nodded and took the book from Nafel. There was a good chance this ‘dragon was already dead. And maybe they left this Journal to help other who had an animal stalker. Eka did believe Nafle when she said that he was a friend. She was quit gullible but then also had a feeling telling her to stop asking questions. She looked over the name on the journal. It was a little harder to pronounce. “Nuda Mage…sock. I mean Magesokc. Hmm…never heard it before." Eka started to flip through the pages of the journal. Not really reading them but looking to see what else there might be. She found a page that had a drawing of a black feline. Probably the cat she saw in her dreams. She then handed it back to Nafel. “I founder who Silane is? Or was? And what caves she used to live in. Maybe she went back there? Maybe some sort of clues could be found?" Eka may not listen to often but when she did she all most always remembered. And her mind was still racing with other possibilities. “So you gonna keep it? See if any body recognizes it." Eka was starting to think that coming here has given her more to think about then just what old ‘dragon wore or kept in their rooms.
OOC: Lol! I RP Stalk people too, no worries. It makes threads easier, anyways. Thanks for the compliment on Nafel's story. ^_^ BIC: Nafel giggled a little at the name. It sounded odd, that was for sure! As for the probability of finding a Spirit-form that had, for all they knew, returned to Fronima to be reunited with their counterpart, she doubted they would be able to find a trace of the thing. "I don't know... It looks old, and they might have returned to Fronima." She looked at Nurano for help, because she couldn't tell the younger 'dragon about Luthano, and/or Spirit-forms in general, but they needed a plausable excuse. Large Black Felines were not native to Ramath-lehi, that was for sure. Nurano picked up on the request for help and thought for a moment before coming up with an answer. His ears pricked up. "Hey, I know! Eka, do you know Aiolos , Kujai, or Meira? They know lots about this sort've stuff! Why don't we take it to them?" They probably needed to show Aiolos anyway, considering that he would probably find it interesting or useful to know of another 'dragon with a Spirit-form at Janardian, and he would be able to tell Eka what she should know, or at least what wouldn't get her in trouble. And the fact of the matter was, he knew more 'dragons than Nafel or himself, and that would make it more likely that he had met the 'dragon before.
Ooc: yes, Rp Stalking is fun. Or maybe it’s because I like to read whatever I can get my hands on. Lol! Bic: Nafel was right, this book was pretty old. Most tracks of this ‘dragon are probably long gone. But she still thought about it. Eka started to think. She had heard then names before but never met the ‘dragons. “Well Aiolos and Kujai hmm… Oh wait Kujai is the one with 6 legs right she was at Janardan some time ago. I guess that Aiolos was the other with her. I don’t know who Meira is." Eka only knew the two as older ‘dragons. But if Nafel and Nurano could trust them she guessed that she could to. “Do any of them know Ramathian? Because them we could take them the box too and find out what it’s says. We can trust them, right?" Eka was hoping that the others wouldn’t tell the school what they were doing. She guessed that they must be experienced magic users if they knew what was going on in the fem ‘dragons life.
OOC: I'll PM Zeva if they decide to get Aio and co. involved. BIC: Nafel nodded. "Right. Aiolos is a Journeyman Mage, Kujai is a Journeyman sorceress, and they're 'together', so to speak. I think Aio speaks fluent Ramathian, it's how he does spells." Nurano nodded. "Meira is Aiolos's younger sister. She's blind, but she can take care of herself. She's Nafel's friend more than mine." He nodded, for she was one of Nafel's few femme friends here. "We can trust them. They've helped us to get information that isn't exactly supposed to be accessed by students before. Not illegal or anything, but they've taught Nafel spells and such. You'd probably like them." Nafel smiled and stretched her wings, careful not to hit anyone with the pinions that so perfectly matched Nurano's black coat. "What do you say we search them out? We can probably find them, but I'd have to be closer to 'path any of them." She was the stronger telepathing talent of the two, being female and a strong mage. She didn't know Eka's talent, but the younger 'dragon didn't know Aio, Kujai, or Meira, so she couldn't contact them. Even so, Nafel's talent was blocked by some of the building materials at Janardian. She had little use for it, so it rarely got used in the complex. She had less trouble out in the open, but if they were on different floors and in an unusual place, she had litle hope of finding any of the 'dragons.
Name: Gara Tmukar (It´s actually Gara and Tmukar, but whatever) Age:1400 Primary Trade: Trapper Secondary Trade: Hypnotism IC: Gara trotted around amongst the dorms. She had never liked being in the academy, but as usual, Tmukar had convinced her. And, heck, she couldn´t resist the thought of seeing a few cute males. Tmukar, being a thinking tail, just hissed and peeked into a room. She begun to hiss loudly and snapped towards the three 'dragons in there.
Nafel let out a squeak at the 'dragon who had just stuck its head into the room. She had not been expecting to see anyone there. She was terrified that they would be expelled or get in trouble for being up here. However, she began to notice that the 'dragon was not much older, if she was older at all, than her. She blinked and nudged Nurano. He was the more imposing of the two, being larger and jet-black. He padded up to the 'dragon, putting on an aura of confidence. His black coat gleamed like a well groomed Terran tiger's coat might have, his steps were measured, and not a speck of dust landed on his ebony pride. He spent more time grooming then Nafel did, but that was a different story. He spoke. "May I help you?"
OOC: Sounds like a plan. Bic: Eka nodded trying to take in all this information. By the sounds of it there sounded like a fun group of ‘dragons. But then again if you are the powerful in magic they could be a group not to mess with. “Sounds like a plan to me. Do you have any idea where they could be right now? Would they be with the teacher or some place like the library?" Now that she thought about it the school was huge. It would be a lot easyer if they could ‘path them like Nafel said, but it wasn’t on of her best skills. Her sister on the other hand could find her in the middle of a snow storm. “Well we better start now we’ll have lots of ground to cover." It didn’t really bother her that much thought of how big the school was and how long they could be searching. It all sounded fun to her. This had all been said before the other ‘dragon steeped into the room. She also let out a small yell like Nafel. She didn't want to be hread to make more 'dragons find them. She was surprised that any one would have found them. Why didn’t she close the door, what were they going to do know? These were all thought going through Eka head. Why was this ‘dragon hissing at them? She didn’t say any thing and waited for Nurano to take care of things. She hoped.
Cass was abused by the school - there was no doubt about it. They kept her around, primarily, to serve as a hall monitor. No other 'dragon was as well equipped as she, and they even attached it as a string to her scholarship - a required 30 hours of hall monitor duty a week. Though she hated the work, she felt in the end, the benefits would outweigh the downsides, primarily the constant shunning by other students - yet it didn't matter. She was one of the oldest of the bunch, and her education would help her succeed later in life. At least - this was what she convinced herself. She was, by anyone's standards, military-grade technology, and it was somewhat like calling in an airstrike to take out an anthill. Her optical sensors could scan for heat signatures, perform basic x-ray functions and even magnify to microscopic levels. She also had a "radar sense", built in to help her avoid obstacles as her actual light-based vision was, ironically, the most limited of her modes of view. Yet she had detected the students, and, with a sigh, she set off to dutifully go about her business of reporting them. Reaching the top of the stairs, she started down the old hallway, mechanical leg hissing and clanking forebodingly with each step. She arrived at the door and switched her vision back in to heat mode - yeah, there they are. She stepped into view of the dragon at the doorway and barked out her command, "You know you're not allowed to be up here! What gives?" She cocked her head sideways, hydraulic rams in her neck hissing, then whirring loudly, reorienting her skull with a jangle of electronics and cables. In the dusty air, hundreds of diodes and the fronima battery cast long, pin-streaks of bright light into the air around her, making her seem quite the imposing figure.
Eka stood there transfixed. She didn’t scream this time, now that another had walked in. Her mind was racing all it kept telling her over and over again was that they were doomed. This other ‘dragon seemed to be quiet sure of them selves and she took a guess that she held some power over them. Her mind then finally clicked and she was able to think again. She found her tongue and started to talk to the newest newcomer. “Yes, we do know that Sir..Miss. We were just taking a walk after a long day of studying and needed to strength our legs. We were walking now the stairs below and I heard a noise. I thought that maybe some one was hurt so we came and took a look in this open room. All we found were some items that were blown over by some wind. So we put them back and were about to leave when this other came in." She had said it all in a very believable way. She had often lied to get out of trouble. But what she really wanted to say to this newcomer was “Then why are you here?" but held her self back. She didn’t make any move but instead ‘pathed Nafel and Nurano so that only they could hear. {Play along} She didn’t make a move to leave but made sure that there new items were well hidden then waited to see how this would all fall. Hoping it wouldn’t blow up in her face.
With a hiss of hydraulics and a metallic clunk, the chocolate-and-chrome figure stepped fully in to the room, exposing to the students the full extent of her mechanical "glory". "Wind? Don't lie to me, child, for you know as well as I that Janardan is underground. There is no wind here. There are no windows!" If there was one thing not appreciated by this metallic beast, it was being lied to. She could detect it - the increase in heat signature from the liar, their heart rate picking up slightly and a sweat breaking out under their fur. Her bionic elements, replacing 3 of her 5 senses, enhanced her abilities and perceptions to the point that every such minute detail could be easily recorded, even from some distance. Yet, for some reason, she felt compassion towards the students, though she did not show it. Sending people to meet the school prinicpal was not her idea of a good time... She cocked her head curiously. They hadn't really done anything wrong, had they? Merely been curious - something that everyone was guilty of on occasion. She smiled as best she could - though her programming told her it was not a good idea, her brain told her otherwise - she would let them slide. "Nevermind it. Everyone gets curious on occasion. ...Have we met? Th'names Cass." She stepped forward into the room, metallic leg clunking and hissing, reflecting shimmering beams of light from every source in the room and giving off light of its own wherever the diodes surfaced.
(OOC) sorry to barge in like this (BIC)DarkWolf had an mischievous idea in his head as he sneaked up behind the machina/cyborg mix. He had never seen it before and wondered what it would be like to be like the cyborg.Violent visions appeared in his mind when he uttered the word "cool" He looked around him and swiftly ran up to the cyborg and tried to push it over. He groaned in despair when it would'nt fall. He ran as fast as he could down the hall to avoid being caught and he chuckled to himself as more visions involving him as the supreme cyborg destroying everything in its path.
Nurano stepped up to meet the 'dragon with a different sound. No sound, to be exact. He had his own ways of making impressions, as a byproduct of being a Spy by Trade. His ebony coat caught the gleam of Cass's light beams and held it, looking quite noble with the pairing of his white tail-flame and amber eyes. "Well met. I'm Nurano, the femme with wings is my... er... girlfriend Nafel, and the smaller one is Eka. You do know there's another 'dragon behind you?" Nafel stepped up next to Nurano and looked on her tiptoes, but couldn't see the other 'dragon. Her entrance was sightly less majestic, but powerful all the same. She had a power, if you were gifted enough to see it. Her coat, however, was not very immaculate. It was slightly scraggly and her tabby stripes showed over slightly protruding ribs. She was built for the air, not the ground. Her black wings absorbed some of the light, unlike Nurano's black coat. She was small, so she couldn't see over the head of the imposing Cass. "As he said, I'm Nafel. Nice to meet you, Cass."
Eka wasn’t really sure if they could trust this ‘dragon so she just nodded in agreement to her name. Eka guessed that this dragon was smart and knew the school and some how could tell she was lying. So she decided to let it go and just be thankful that Cass had let it pass. She took a quick look around and saw that it had started to get crowed in their little doorway. When she just barley saw another ‘dragon run and try to push over Cass she just watched it run away with a confused look on her face. It was then she finally noticed Cass metal like parts. She was staring for a few seconds before she stop but didn’t say anything because she didn’t want to make a fool of herself again. She wonder what it was like to have metal parts. She looked from Nurano to Nafel standing in front of the other ‘dragon, though she could now barley see any thing due to her small size. She hoped that they had some sort of idea of what they would do next.
The chocolate femme noticed the curious stares almost immediately - she had receieved them most of her life and had become attuned to their presence, yet they still nagged at her- oh, how she longed to be normal! But the opportunity for that had passed, and, she convinced herself, the gods had a greater purpose for her. She felt the sudden urge to respond; to explain herself. She thanked her constructors for the tint in the goggles covering her singed eyes, as they began to tear up slightly. She hated the stares, the akward looks, the silence and the inner torment that was every day of her life. "...There was an accident. I lost my vision and my leg... you can take a closer look if you wish, it's quite fascinating..."
Nafel nodded with sympathy for Cass. She had been a freak in childhood, because without her newly discovered magic, she couldn't move. Her legs and arms would wither and be unable to support her. Her whole female family had such disfigurements, or had, since they were presumed dead, but when she had had the rare chance to go into public as a child she had gotten the same sort of stares. She simply nodded. Nurano, however, was interested in the 'dragon who seemed to have walked off. "'Oy, who're you?" He shouted that in the general direction of the hallway, as that had been the last space he had seen the slinking 'dragon in. He walked closer to Cass and peared over her, looking for any sign of the errant 'dragon.
