She watched his hands, and very carefully studied, and copied his movements. She giggled, and said,"I feel like I should either be doing, some dance, or singing a song." She kept, her hands moving, despite the fact, that she was holding back her urge to laugh. Knowing this was very important.
He groaned when she mentioned a song, she had the worse timing ever. He dropped his hands to his sides once she had got the last step. He sighed out heavily, he hated this about summoning, it was like being some crazy tribal fool worshiping a rock sometimes. Lots of waving around and chatting in small dark rooms with strange people. "Right well you just repeat that over and over until its summoned then we can rest for a bit. Now we have to learn the words" making a fake overly stupid puffed out face. He ran his finger over the words in the book, his mind taking them all in like it was trained to do. Some people just didnÂ’t relies the amount of work that went into big spells. But his one was putting up a large amount of show, mainly because he had to teach and he did want to make an impression. "Right if you cant read these then donÂ’t worry this is how it goes. Suja luji mec daloivo niuo alopo..... " ah he felt like such an idiot. It went on like that for a bit reciting the words but not moving his hands making sure he didnÂ’t cast the spell.
She says,"Sorry, I know this all is important." She listens, to his words carefully, while looking at the book. She pauses, and repeats him, making sure her hands are not moving,"Suja luji mec daloivo niuo alopo." She watches him, to see if he gives off any signs, that she is doing something wrong. She thinks to herself, Ok I must concentrate. Suja luji mec daloivo niuo alopo, Suja luji mec daloivo niuo alopo She says,"Am I saying it the right way?"
He smiled at her yet with a curious look at the same time, she was a fast learner. He knew she would be a great magician when she was older, even know she surprised him. "Yes that is once again perfect. Are you ready to try for the big thing now. Oh yeah and keep saying the words over and over when we are casting." he said in a slightly concerned but confidant tone. He breathe doubt deeply preparing himself for a big spell. He had arranged it so he would take the majority of the recoil because when it hit it was going to be a bitch.
She smiles at him. She says,"Ok so I say the words over and over again, while doing the hand movements you showed me right? Is there any particular place I should stand?" She concentrates on everything, he has showed and told her.
He didnÂ’t bother getting up and just smiled at her, she was his height when he was sitting down and she was standing, he held back a grin because he knew that would distract her. "You donÂ’t even have to stand if you donÂ’t like. Just make sure you can move you hands and that they donÂ’t enter the circle" he said finally. He checked over the circle to make sure it was still intact, god knew why he used chalk, it smudged so easily. A marker pen would be so much cleaner and convenient. He readied himself and flexed his arms. He slowly began to move then starting with the first position then moving through the sequence as she move with him. He began to slowly speak the words making sure she spoke with him. "Suja luji mec daloivo niuo alopo, Suja luji mec daloivo niuo alopo, Suja luji mec daloivo niuo alopo....." and over and again they chanted, the power grew in the room. It made every hair on the back on the neck stand up and that tingling spin sensation running down and along the body. Ever so slightly a tiny flicker of flame began to appear in the circle floating about half way as it was called forth from the void.
She sits down next to him. She says,"Suja luji mec daloivo niuo alopo, Suja luji mec daloivo niuo alopo, Suja luji mec daloivo niuo alopo....." as she does the hand movements in time with him. She feels a change in the air, and it sends a chill of excitement, down her back. She stares at the drawing on the floor, watching as the tiny flicker of flame gets bigger.
As they continued to chant and wave their arms and perform the spell at an insanely slow pace but speed wasnÂ’t import anyway. The tiny flame flickered ever more then turned into a fiery circle filled with swirling colours of red and orange. The magical portal seeped out fire and its began to drip out of the void slow at first then leek a stream of liquid fire that slowly became thicker and more resembling magma. It followed onto the floor and filled up the circle yet moved no further. The protective spell had worked and it was stopping it from melting the floor as well. The magma began to take the shape of a large beast, it was humanoid yet it was very bulky and the top of its head looked more like a volcano. Its skin began to crust over and turn black like rock yet tiny veins of lava still flowed around it. It stood completely filling the 2 meter space, its eyes glared at us menacingly, fire seemed to burn out of the very sockets. It growled slightly at them yet did nothing. Sejv stopped chatting and looked at what they had summoned, it was a magmatron. One of the most advanced summoning of fire, and it was a small one. They didnÂ’t really have the power to summon a full 10 meter tall one or the room either. "Well what do you think" He said full of satisfaction before his recoil kicked in.
She looks at it, with huge eyes. She says,"Wow, he won't like try to eat me will he?" She thinks for a moment, and asks,"So, how does he leave when the time comes?" She doesn't move from where she is sitting, and just stares at it, in amazement. She thinks to herself Wow, that was cool. I can't move but, wow.
He grinned at her, she didnÂ’t understand it would do what she wanted to do until its magic ran out or until they sent it back. He looked at the lava beast again, it stared emotionlessly at nothing with a fiery unblinking gaze. He didnÂ’t want to keep it there for too long otherwise that protective charm might break. It was one very powerful summon. "Well no it does what you tell it to and it goes when you tell it to" he said while mixing it with a laugh. He looked at it the creature aging and couldnÂ’t help but feel nervous. He didnÂ’t like the way it stared at nothing, it was like trying to win a stare contest with a feline, he didnÂ’t like it at all. "So what do you want it to do then" he said with a grin but then it soon faded when he started to feel the recoil. It was like a black drain on his mind, since they had summon something, the recoil took something. It took energy and lots of it, he wobbled a bit and shot his arms down onto the wooden floor to stop himself falling backwards. His eyes rolled back a bit and his head sagged, his tail flame had turning into a tiny flicker. He very feebly reached into his robes and pulled out a chocolate bar. He very slowly unpeeled it and snapped a bit off and ate it. He savoured the smooth chocolate and moved it around his mouth while it softly melted and revitalised him. He always found the sweet chocolate helped with recoil. He quickly offered the rest to her though while he made his last as long as possible.
She listens to what he says, and takes the chocolate he offered her. She says,"Oh I see. Hmm." She looks at the lava beast and, tries to think of something for it to do. She says, in a quiet voice,"I don't know if I really want to tell it to do anything, he is really scary looking." She takes a bite of the chocolate, and lets it melt in her mouth.
He looked at the beast and quickly agreed with her, it looked very scary. She was tiny so to her it must have looked bloody terrifying, he waved a hand at it and it suddenly snapped backwards on its self. Like a twig snapped in two then folded back, it doubled up completely as its black skin crumbled and lava spewed out and dripped out onto the floor. It all began to flow backwards, lava flowed upwards into a ball where the central body was floating and being consumed back into the fiery ring which lead through the void. In another heat beat it was all gone except for a slight wisp of smoke and a wave of hot air. "Their all gone" he said with a friendly smile, he didnÂ’t want to summon anything scary again, she was still very young. Then again that Magmatron had scared him as well. He sighed with relief as he felt his energy coming back.
She let out a sigh of relief, as it went back to where it came from. She says,"Thank you, I feel better, know that it is not standing there." She wraps her arms around her knee's, and thinks to herself for a moment, Wow that was cool but, at the same time it was super scary. Think I will pick the other option next time. She says,"That was scary but, it was cool at the same time." She smiles at him, and closes her eyes for a moment.
He felt kinda bad now, she looked really scared the way she was curled up. She looked so tiny and exposed and he had just shown her a massive elemental daemon. He felt like such a fool, he reached into his robes again and pulled out some sweets, normally he kept them to help with recoil but he figured he should give them to her, like in asshole tax. He needed to think some more before he did things. Sejv sighed deeply and puffed out a massive chunk of air that had filled his lungs. He gave her a sympathetic rub on the back, his hand was like as wide as her back anyway so it was more like a hug. "Aww I'm sorry your a bit young to see the big things like that. DonÂ’t worry its ok to be scared, even I'm a little shaky after that one." putting on a grin to try and relax her. His tail swished around nervously, if she wasnÂ’t ok he as gonna take her home or something. He wanted to make up for putting her though that.
She opened her eyes, feeling much better. She handed him back the sweets, and smiled. "You keep these for next time. I am better know I just had to get myself to relax." She moved a little closer to him. "Please don't feel bad, I wanted to see it but, if I would have thought about it a little more, I would have realized I should have picked the other option." She looks at him, and gives him a light smile.
He grinned again, looking at her face and examining every detail. She wasnÂ’t that young really she was more like in her teens. Her size got kind of confusing at times though, he let his grin fade into a smile while he looked at her unusually eyes. "Yeah I guess, I dunno it was a little grizzly. I just feel bad fro showing you a darker side of magic, I mean we could have summoned a little fire sprite type fairy thing but instead I went for the gusto." He was forgetting who she was, he was used to a room full of college boys who had sneaked the masters books out and were trying to get the things to work. He had some dopey memories of a lot of pointless things. Sometimes he wished he had achieved more, made more of an impact on peoples lives instead of some dusty museum plaque that no one ever looked at. He wanted to make something that would last a hundred life times. He looked over to the piles of books and grinned at how much he could sell them for. Then he sort of stared into space, watching bits of hot dust float around with a faint aura of residual magic.
She walks over to where he was looking at the books. She says,"I am glad you showed me that one, I mean I know not everything, is nice and pleasant but, that there are bigger and meaner things out there. It was just an example." She lightly touches his arm, with one of her wings, and a slight redness within her face.
He looked at her again, smiling at her blush but trying to figure out why though. He felt her soft feathery wing and sighed quite happy, thinking about it now he hadnÂ’t had a bad life. He had done things some would never do and he had achieved more than many ever do. He smiled at her warmly. "Yeah I suppose your right, still its a nasty side of magic. The law of unpredictability, magic despite laws if often dangerous and unpredictable." he quoted one of the laws of magic. Magic wasnÂ’t really meant to be used lightly.
She pauses for a moment, and then without thinking about it, she moves closer to him, and hugs him lightly. She pulls away, and looks up at him with a shy look. She says,"Sorry, that just felt right." She thinks to herself, Oh why did I do that. If it blows up then I will lose a friend. I hope it doesn't go badly, I like being around him.
He was a little taken back when she hugged him but not in a bad way. It felt nice to be hugged by someone, in truth it didnÂ’t happen to him often and he liked it. He hugged her back but soon let go when she pulled away. He had a small smile on his face and his tail was moving slightly. "ThatÂ’s fine, I wasnÂ’t complaining." He didnÂ’t mind the odd hug here and their but she was a little young for anything else. He was about 6 or 7 years older than her and that was a big gap. Not to mention if he wanted to kiss her he would either have pick her up or she would have to stand on a box. He grinned a bit.
