She turned, and looked at him for a moment, and then turned back around. She quickly hides a smile, that came over her face. She looks around the room, to see tall, walls covered in large bookshelves but, to her dismay the books are not in them. She holds the lantern up and, looks a little more closely around the room, and notices a large table in the middle of it. She walks over to the table, and grins. She says,"This must have been some sort of library but, for some reason all the books are over here on this table."
He grinned at all the books, they were magical, he could see their auras clear as day. It was like a rainbow of all the 10 different magical colours. It was impossible to explain to someone who was not magical gifted. The best thing they could do to see the extra colours that donÂ’t exist in the normally spectrum would be to smoke something illegal and stare and the gaps between a rainbow. He jumped along to the books. "Maybe they like to read a lot" he said in a dopey voice with his wolf grin plastered all over his face. He poked along the empty shelves as he walked on past her and to the table randomly picking up a book and looking at it.
She sits down on the table, and looks at the different books. She smiles, and without thinking about it, a book lifts up off the table, and moves over to her. She takes it and examines, the cover closely, and then opens it. She coughs, as the scent of dust comes from the book. She says,"I wonder how long these books have been here, the pages are almost yellow." She watches him, from the corner of her eye. She thinks to herself, he is interesting in a quiet way.
Hiss eyes widened when he examined the books. He didnÂ’t think such things existed, he was gawping at his find, or their find how ever they wanted to look at it. He carefully opened the pages and very softly turned each page speed reading their content. "Be very careful with them, they are in excellent condition for their age. This secret room must have kept the rodents out and saved them from prying eyes. Their books of magic, they contain many spells, some quit risky others not so much. Its a miracle to find such a wealth of magic knowledge, this room much have a magical border stopping people from picking up on them." giving her a brief look, the seriousness of the matter had snapped him out of the magical high. "Well obviously not every one, you must be very gifted in the arts of magic" he said with a sweet smile. He carefully placed the book down, ordering them in piles of what they were associated with. He had one small pile of demonology, the books in that pile all had dark swirling auras full of malevolent colours. Those books looked bound in skin and written in blood. He gave his sympathy to author. He had another pile for Dark sorcery, sinister in nastier but not inherently evil if used correctly. Those auras where deep violets and purples, mixed with bring indigo. Those books just looked normal with dark leather coverings, then again leather was dried animal hide so they could be anything. He had two books for Necromancy with jet black auras, the books seemed to be printed on plates of bone. His mind boggled when it tried to calculate their worth, priceless was the only thing his mind kept flashing. The Anubi would kill for those. He had the largest pile on Elemental spells, it was the most common form of magic, ranging from the four basic elements to the more obscure ones. That pile was mixed with all Varity of books some sinister and some that seemed holy. The auras where mixed with every colour imaginable and more. Much more. "Their, sorted" he said triumphantly. OOC soz long post
She watches, him sort the books into piles, from her seat on the table, and smiles. She says,"I have some experience in the arts of magic but, I do not consider myself to be, extremely gifted." She looks at the stacks of books, and spots one that catches her attention, in the next moment, it was in her hands. She opens and very gently, turns the pages, she looks up from the book and smiles again. She says,"Interesting, I haven't seen books like these, in quite awhile."
He grinned at her when he finished the pile, he smiled back at her though when her saw her smile, making sure his eyes met hers for a brief moment. He looked curiously while she eyed up one of the books. "Well I'm supposed to be a journeyman in too types of magic and I still couldnÂ’t sense anything from here, you must be at least incredibly sensitive." He said with another smile in her direction. He watches in how she would float a book across, she used magic so casually. He, like nearly every over caster he knew suffered from the recoil of magic. He might learn a fair amount from hanging around with her. "Well I havenÂ’t seen books like this since I first started magic in my Magic college in the temples. What book have you got their" He said with a mix of surprise and interest in her choice, in truth he was very eager to start trying out spells.
She looks up from the book, and blushes slightly as there eyes met. She says,"I was out wandering around, when I spotted this building, I just new there was something special about it. I tend to be able to sense things, that not many others are able to." She stretches her wings for a moment, and smiles in his direction. She looks over the piles of books again, and pauses. She thinks for a moment, and a book, that was under the table, lifts up and appears, in front of him. She says, with a smile on her face,"This book might help you relax, when casting. It is something, I learned when I was younger." She looks at him, and smiles again.
He held back a laugh when she blushed, he smiled back at her softly then looked at the book. It didnÂ’t look to great to him, he wasnÂ’t sure why she wanted him to relax when casting. In his opinion he was most relaxed when casting or meditating. He put the book down though, he would read it later. "You didnÂ’t say which book you were reading" he asked again giving her another smiled and sending another glance towards her book she seemed to be reading again. He wanted to practice a group spell, he hardly ever got to use them at all. Group spells were so much more powerful. Him and a friend had achieved a masters spell once by working together when they had both just become journeymen. The recoil had nearly killed them though and they had been in beds for weeks. He began to rummage through his piles again, being careful not to mess them up or anything. He was looking for a interesting spell book, once that didnÂ’t involve raising some ancient daemon.
She closes her eyes, to rest for a moment. She says,"This book, is about Pyrokensis. I am trying to see if there are any ideas in here, that I haven't found before." She lets her body, fully relax for a moment to, release the slight fatigue, she is feeling that happens, every time she uses her telekinesis. She says,"What is it that you are looking, for?"
He placed some of the books down carefully after he had looked at the making sure they stayed in the right piles yet at the same time was looking and listing to her. He knew she was telekinetic yet a pryo was interesting too, he had more experience with elemental magic. "Well maybe I can help you, I specialize in elemental magic of all kinds." He said with a smug satisfaction. He was quite proud of his achievements yet he wished he had a bit more variety. He looked around a bit though and when she asked her second question he smiled with delight. "Ah I donÂ’t know, something kewl" he said with his grin on his face and a stupid wink in her direction. He sounded so dumb at times.
She giggled, when he winked at her. She continues to watch him, through half closed eyes. She says,"Elemental magic, huh. That sounds interesting." She opens her eyes, and moves off the table, from where she was sitting. She looks around, to see if they have missed a book, bye chance. She looks under the table, and spots one last book. She walks under the table, and picks the book up, and hops back up on the table. She says,"This looks like an interesting book, it was under the table."
He smiled more at her giggling, it sounded so funny to him like girlishness and fun mixed together. He looked at her with a curious look while she started climbing down of her chair and around under the table. "Yeah it is, I do elemental manipulation with kinesis and elemental summoning." He said with a bemused tone as she went under the table. When she came up with another book in her hand though he beamed with excitement. He reached out for it and gently took it from her, very carefully flicking through the book. He turned over the soft yellow pages that where so delicate with age. The book ist self was a light purple in covering and said on the front, the early incantations of necromancy. It seemed to be about contacting the spirit world of Frominia. He placed it on the table carefully next to a book about elemental summoning. "Which do you want to try first" he said with his voice brimming with excitement and joy.
She moves her chair closer to the table, and climbs back on it. She says,"I don't know. I have never helped anyone do much, I was always told not to use my gifts. I would work on them in secret, till I had to leave home." She looks from one book to another, her eyes twinkling with excitement. She says,"Do you have any ideas?"
He held back a laugh when she climbed onto the table making herself near his height. He knew it was rude to laugh at her size but he couldnÂ’t barely help it. He jus grinned very broadly instead, trying to cover his mischief. "Well it all comes down to personal choice, if you want to summon a elemental creature then the that book" he said as he pointed to the bluish book with different colours. He wanted this to be her choice, he found her so intriguing. "Or if you want to speak to the spirit world and ask funny questions, this book" he said with a very immature smile. He had never really grown up at times, he was a hypocrite when he laughed at young people.
She turns and looks at him, and lightly smacks him with a wing. She says, while trying to hide the fact, that she is laughing,"I know I am small and can tell, that is what your grinning about." She looks back and forth between the books, and thinks for a moment. She says, with excitement in her voice,"Ohh lets try the summoning one."
He laughed happily when she hit him playfully, giving her a daft smile. Yet the wing caught his attention and he marvelled at it with awe and envy. He had always felt robbed at the fact he didnÂ’t have wings, being Lukuo he was prone to mutations but he was the only one in the family without them. Instead he had strange extended shoulder blades that were quite literally blades. They were normally folded up under his skin but occasionally when he was very angry or very tensed up the rip though and snap upwards. They are like massive spikes sticking out of his back at a slight angle, they are also very strong and practically never break. His skin their happened to heal lightning fast their as well so at least he never bled to death, but it didnÂ’t stop it from hurting. He had a very embarrassing story about them, one time when he was about 17 he was with a girl and they happened to be getting a little tense together. He was sort of inexperienced back then and he had tensed up a little to much and his blades has snapped out of his back and into the floor. They had stuck in so deep afterwards she had to get her brothers to pull him out of the floor. Not after they had kicked the shit out of him for messing around with their sister. He almost went red thinking about it. He smiled at her choice though as he picked up the book. He carefully read through the index making sure it had the basic elements and such like. "So what element do you want to summon." he asked with equal amusement and excitement.
She notices him looking at her wings, and quickly tucks them behind her. She thinks over his question, for a moment. She says,"How about a fire elemental? That would be fun. I just need to be told how to help." She peers down at the book but, isn't able to see it very well, from where she is standing. She thinks to herself, I have never seen, or helped with something like this. Should be interesting and fun, despite the fact that I am a little nervous. Oh well being nervous isn't a bad thing, is it..... She looks over at him, with her eyes twinkling.
Some how he gathered she would say that. Yet it was the most dangerous of the four basic elements, he had read the page for it yet he needed her to help him make a containment spell first so the damm thing didnÂ’t burn a hole through the floor or cremate the books. He opened the book to a different page briskly, his fingers dancing over the pages lightly. He turned it around so she could see it clearly. "I want you to make this sign on the floor on a big space, ill move the table out the way and we could do it their if you want. But we need it about a meter wide and make sure you get in all the little details ok. Ill check it when your done." he handed her a piece of pink chalk that showed a little wear but was in good shape. The picture was basically a pentagram with certain symbols between the star points and in the center of the circle. He made sure he showed her all the finer bits then moved the table for her with a heave. He then left the book by her while he ran over the other page in his mind. He had made sure he had memorized it so he wouldnÂ’t need the book and she could have it. All these preparations where easy for him, it took him back to his magic college really. Since he was a qualified journeyman in Elemental summoning it was blinding easy but they were going to summon a big thing and he needed her help but he also was making sure she would be safe as well. he ran over the incantations in his mind and thought for a moment. "Actually make it 2 meters wide."
She looks at the book, and reads the page, and then hops down off the table. She holds the piece of chalk in her hand, and waits for him to move the table. She keeps, the picture in her head that was in the book. She moves, over to where the table was, and starts to draw carefully. After a few minutes, she moves back to examine, and compare to the book. She says,"Alright, I believe I got it right. Do, I need to adjust anything else on it?" She hops up on her chair, and looks at him.
He finished speaking the words over in his mind and then walked carefully over to her drawing, he was mildly impressed. When he had to draw one of these as a student he had smudged it all, hers actually looked perfect. He picked up the book and carefully examined every detail. "Yeah thatÂ’s great, very great actually" he said showing her a smile. He sat down next to her with the book on his lap. The page had lots of spell words written on it and some detailed pictures of how to move your hands. "Right now lets practice those hands now, we have to get it right otherwise it will all go wrong" he said with a slightly more serious expression. Then they had to do the words but at the moment he just showed her each hand position step by step. He looked felt dumb, like someone trying to signal down a plane yet they really wanted it to crash.
