<justify>Arther's eyes flicker from one student to the other, concentrating on the way they moved, their instinctual reaction. The hesitation that Lyra had, the teacher instantly placed in a "nervous or waiting" category, not making any mental mark against the youngster for being a bit cautious about going first. Tilting his head slightly, the 'dragon patiently waited for one or the other to make a move. Meira finally stood, and seemed a lot more confident then her peer, knowing she was going to go first. Or, rather, she had merely presumed, probably, according to the other student's lack of movement. Licking his lips in anticipation, wondering how well the young female would do, he observed the trio of kicks with a small amount of admiration. For one so young, and untrained, there was skill in her work. Both were close to the center, and, due to all three being vigorously administered, he presumed that she was intent on doing the best she could. Smiling and nodding at her, a brief {Good.} Was uttered into her mind, though any eavesdroppers would also hear it. A simple encouragement, a sign of his approval. Focusing his attention on the second of his students, Arther leaned back on his haunches, wondering what the differences between their movements would be. The other was self-assured, that much was clear. Perhaps she had trained before, under another master, or had merely taught herself some of it. The same focus and direct watching that he had given Meira was also attentively directed at Lyra as she kicked. A slightly different admiration then he had had for his blind student drifted through the male's mentality. Lyra had hit the center the second time, and it was obvious she had done this before. Despite her lack of visible pride, Arther presumed, in the back of her mind, she was satisfied with the kicks. {Good...} He murmered to Lyra, the same words and tones he had used on Meira. Both were rather good, actually, for a first class. Glancing at the other adult in the room, then focusing on Lyra as she spoke, Arther shook his head lightly and laughed in a jovial manner. "During the first class, I don't think that is neccessary. Unless you think you are ready to try kicks without your sight, already?" He replied, quirking a brow and waiting for her reply. If she wanted to be blindfolded, so be it. It really was up to the student. As he waited, the male carefully considered the next thing to try out. Perhaps a bit of stretching would be good, warm them up a bit more so they didn't strain anything.
She watched out of the corner of her eye the other older ‘dragon as he walked into a corner of the room. Lyra then brought her attention back to the teacher. She thought about what he had said for a moment before she replied. “I will do a few more things before I cover my eyes." She said. She wanted to do everything a least once before trying it without her sight. She was not blind or any thing but took the class thinking that just in case she might need to depend on her senses and not her eyes. She then waited for what he would want them to try next.
<justify>Arther nodded silently, smiling in an encouraging manner at her response. That was a good attitude, to be prepared to try with a handicap, but to want to be sure they were ready before actually attempting it. Tilting his head slightly, the 'dragon considered what to get them into, next. With a flick of inferno-tipped tail, the male leapt up onto one of the tree stumps that was generally used for fighting with claws and fangs, as well as blades or spikes, if the 'dragon had such. At the moment, however, the male was merely perching on the scarred remains of the plant, observing the pair with caculating eyes. Nodding in decision, he spoke to inform them of their next thing to do. "I should have started out with this... we need to do some stretches, so you don't over work your muscles. Go ahead and do whatever you think will help you, and I'll direct your stretches in a moment." Arther said, nodding once more, then agilely leaping back to the floor and padding over to Twobit. With a lopsided grin, he inclined his head respectfully to the older male, then eyed his students. {So... what'd you think? Both are rather good, for a first class.} He commented in private thought-speech.
Lyra knew a few stretches, but not many. She hoped that he wouldnÂ’t mind if she used the tree stump that he was standing on earlier. She walked over to it and put her front paws on the top. She then lower her head and shoulders down little by little until she could feel a small pull near her shoulder blades. She held it for a few seconds before removing her paws from the stump. She through for a minutes trying to remember some others she knew. She put one of her back legs up on the stump and leaned the rest of her body towards the floor and the switched legs to do the same. Those were about the only ones she could think of at the moment. She took a seat again to wait for the teacher to explain some different stretches and also to see what other ones the other student knew.
Meira nods silently, and smiles moving around the rest to begin stretching. First she stretches her spine and legs, bowing backard, putting her weight on her hind legs, then pulling herself forward, putting her weight on her front legs. Picking up each paw in sucession, she flexes her fingers and toes, extending her claws, and retracting them. She curls her tail, as she circles her neck slowly, then looking right, left, up and down. Ears are flicked, as well. To finish it all off, she shakes vigerously, as if drying herself, starting at her head, and ending at her tail. Smiling happily, she looks in the direction their teacher was, waiting most patiently for further direction.
