Heh... you saying i'm big? Shadow replied jokingly, but at the same time feeling a little concious. He wasn't fat as such, but he was muscular, again he ran a paw through the fur. He would cook a few eat a few raw. How bout we eat these raw while we cook the others....ahh the usage of a tail flame.... He added pushing the fish into one pile. lets' start then...
Heh... you saying i'm big? Veaji shurgged at the question with a small smile on her face. Good idea! Veaji said when she heard Shadow's suggestion. She then began to help Shadow dividing the fishes into groups. She then started with the raw ones first. Her stomach was growling so bad she can't wait for flesh to be cooked. She gave out a little sound of pleasure as her teeth sink into flesh and sweet blood flowed into her mouth. She was already feeling happy what with food and company. She looked at Shadow then. What do you intend to do after this?
i really don't know... i might buy a new house or something... Shadow replied, a small but nervous smile at her wordless reply to his "question" He also smiled at her little noise she made as she bit into the fish. A moments silence happened as they munched on the fish. Him using his Magick yet again to make the fish float abouve his tail. The smell of it tantilising. How bout you? want to come house hunting with me?
A house! You need a house! her mind immediately screamed at her. She slowly chewed the raw flesh as her mind begun to think. Should she or shouldn't she? That is the question. And then... I thought you had a place to stay? she asked, or more like she stated it. She stopped chewing and looked at Shadow thoughtfully. She never really thought he was homeless. He doesn't seem to look like a homeless person. Or maybe, come to think of it, today he look like a homeless person. Or did you decided to shift some place else with whats, you know, goin on? she asked after and few moments in thinking.
Yes...and no... Shadow sighed. He had a flat back in Bhim, but he needed a new project... There was a few he had already looked at, but none were right. I have the flat in Bhim, and i just want a new place, to do up, not in the city. Came his statement, almost sounding as though money was no problem for him... which it wasn't, Because of his family heritage. But he wasn't smarmy about it. And i would love to have a garden... possibly a pond, with fish...much like this place... He looked at Veaji. And yes to get away... you up for the challenge?
Veaji was silent for a moment. Then... Why not? she smiled at him. It'll take up some of my time. And I need a place anyway... she muttered to herself. But then another thought came to her. If she did find a place, how would she pay for it? The stashes of money in every part of Ramath wasn't enough. However, perhaps she should just accompany Shadow. Spending time with someone wasn't a bad thing, right? Where do we start looking?
Thats what i'm not so sure about... Shadow sighed taking another bite of the fresh fish, the cooked ones were ready by now aswell. Wish for a hot meal? He asked agin, the fish landing softly in front of them, still steaming slightly. Out of Character

argh brain.... eaten....by....undead....

How 'bout somewhere peaceful? Like the mountains or forest or something? she asked, thoughtfully chewing on another piece of meat. They ate in silence for a little while more. Veaji did try some of the cooked meat but she prefered meat raw. Slowly and steadily the pile of freshly caught fish were diminishing and soon settled to only a quater. By then, Veaji felt quite full. She began to only nibble her food and stare at the clear water. I miss Dev, she suddenly said as she continued to stare at the lake. Memories of their time together and their short, unpleasant reunion played in her head. Guess somethings are better forgotten.
The jungle could be nice.... Shadow contemplated this, chewing on the cooked fish, prefering it to the raw. Veaji was silent and when she spoke Devs name, a twinge went through him. I do a little too.... hes' a decent person... Shadow offered a smile. Dev was her childhood friend or something, and Morichai would have been like a Dev to him or something to that perpective...
Hmm... decent. Yes, never thought of that before.[color] Veaji said to herself as she stripped the last flesh of the skeleton of the fish. I'm done. The set down the bone on the ground and went to the water's edge. She then proceeded to wash her paws and her maw clean of sticky blood. Finished, she came back to her spot and set down. Okay, big guy. Let's finish and then we can look for that house of yours. Veaji smiled at him.
Shadow got up and stretched... wicing at the big guy comment. Was he actually pililng on the pounds? Either wat he would be best to wash his paws and maw in the water... rather than clean the blood off himself. Where should we start? In bhim for properties up for sale? or what? As shadow spoke he cleaned his paws furiously his blood from his matted fur untangling and tainting the water.
Bhim, Shadow? Hmm... Have you ever wondered why Bhim always seem to attract us? Veaji concluded. There was a pause and then she shrugged her shoulders. Or perhaps it's just me. She watched Shadow wash his hands without seeing him. She was thinking of whether she would get a place of her own, a stable place. But it seems mighty unlikely. But she wanted to go back to Bhim. It was a long time since she'd been there. Where in Bhim, Shadow? she asked when he finished washing. Her tail was idlying tracing the earth. Her stomach full and the sun beating down... it was then that she thought, What more could I want? A second voice was about to answer but she pushed it down deeper into her mind. She knew that whatever the second voice was to say, it would ruin her mood.
heh, ironically for me anyway... its because i become a shadow in the city. Shadow chuckled his back raising slightly at the irony of the remark. And using his wings as a prop he leaned back to look at Veaji upside down, his eyes reflecting the light from a dappled patch of sun. The patterns from the sun yearning to push through the trees casted a pretty array of markings on Veaji - like a spotted dakestoe- giving her a mystical look to her anubian features. Hmm... Shadow pondered momentarily ...we met in bhim when we joined the S.O.B. Lost momentarily in thought at his first impression of her sitting in the dingy tavern, he smiled remembering the change in her attitude towards him since then. He had been rather soft when he'd met her... but he had liked her from the first moment he laid eyes on her - not that he would admit where his eyes were looking at that time- but liked her all the same... but now it was for the personality rather than just her looks. Oh, i'm thinking the outskirts of town... gardens and handy shopping facilities... Twisting from his position that was beginning to try and defy gravity he rolled over like a well trained dog... even panting slightly.
Out of Character

Hey sorry about the late reply... I had trouble with the internet connection. Sorry X_X

She smiled at him. He really was someone unordinary. If not, why would she even bother befriending him? Or maybe he was more normal than she was.... Where was she going wth this anyway? Her trail of thoughts are all jumbling up. Hmm... the outskirts. Seems like a nice place to be. Veaji finally said. She dared not look at him then. Because the feeling she'd been having had just gotten stronger. It was strange to her for she never had it before. But she knew it was something to do with Shadow. What was it? Let's uh... let's get moving. Veaji stammered as she started to walk. You don't mind we walk for while? I can't transport now that I've eaten.
His eyes closed momentarily as she spoke so.. he didn't notice her reactions towards him. It would be nice to get a house in the outskirts him and Vea- But veaji wouldn't be there... Like morichai wouldn't be there. For a breif moment his brow furrowed as he realised what his thoughts were wandering to... He liked her in a sense more romantic than others... Her stammer shook him out of his daydream and he nodded at her request to walk. He couldn't fly if he tried... Come on then, walk then fly? or teleport? Shadow jogged a little ahead a wing brushing her arm. He stopped, looked left then right and waited for her to catch up... hopefully she knew the way back or they'd be sleeping in the jungle. He turned to her a paw nervously going through his shock of hair. ummm left or right?
Fly or teleport. The obvious answer to her was, of course, teleport. She couldn't imagine herself flying. She never flew before nor does she want to. Something strange to her was always best to stay away from. Unfortunately, she couldn't do that to the growing feeling inside of her. We teleport. Are you okay with that? she turned to him, thinking it was now safe to look. Her stomach filled with fluttery things told her otherwise and she looked away. His wing that grazed her set her heart running faster than usual. What is wrong with you? she scolded herself. ummm left or right? And that was a very good question. Veaji had been here several times but she still didn't know the area well. She came to a halt beside Shadow, momentarily forgetting the 'strange feeling'. Teleportation was useless now that she was so full. Flying was at the bottom of her list. We... er... hmm... she looked left then right and back to the left again. Want to take a chance? You choose. Left or right?
Left. Shadow said soundly. nodding as though he was certain that was the way to go. He wasn't of course, but they could teleport later, so what did it matter? Shadow was remarkably at ease right now despite the turmoil he had been going through. But veaji did that to him. her company made him happy. She had been acting a bit wierd lately, but that could be because of something she did'nt want to share with him. She was often secretive - not that he was bothered by it - but maybe it would help her to be a little more open with him. then again maybe he had to earn her trust that little bit more... He sighed a little sadly before gently cupping her elbow in his paw to start the little walk. Teleport's fine by the way... i need to brush up on that anyways.
Veaji nodded, trying as much as she could to ignore the fuzzy sensation on her elbow where he held her. His set tone gave her the idea that he knew where he was going. She could feel her cheeks getting hot. Not because of the physical contact with Shadow, but because of someone else knowing the place better than her. Afterall, she did come here several times. Her Anubian pride had dropped. I should be able to teleport soon... Maybe around 30 minutes or so. They walked for what seemed like an hour. Or maybe it was only a few minutes. Veaji didn't know, nor does she care. For she was so lost in her thoughts she ceased to notice anything else. However, a subconcious part of her notted that she was acting very unlike herself today. So lost in thought was she that she failed to notice hungry creatures of the jungle following both of them. They very silently and carefully followed them with their seemingly glowing yellow eyes. Waiting to strike when chance comes and when they get nearer.
Shadow had been watching Veaji on their little walk, She was away with the feydragons. But at least she was looking happy. Still the uneasy feeling as he walked was growing by the second. Eyes seemed to boar into his skull as he began to notice the glowing eyes from the depths of the bushes. Veaji... He said uneasily as he slowed so they were closer together. A deep growl was emitting from a nearby tree. And sure enough, a creature sat poised for attack, for when they walked underneath the low branched tree.
Out of Character

Damien? o.O

She looked up. She thought she heard him call her. Though she might be imagining, what with all her thoughts going haywire and all. But he slowed down so he did call her. She looked up at him, still oblivious to what was happening. What? The creature kept silent. Its parter, however, wasn't so patient. It fidgeted in its place, then decided to heed his stomach and launched right out of the bushes. The creature somehow resembled an earthen panther. Though what type of creature that was, Veaji didn't know for no such reports have been made about a new species of fauna. Veaji didn't have time to think about that anyway for it had already pushed her down, aiming a bite at her jugular vein. She held her hand up in defence just in time. She winced a little as sharp razor teeth bit through her flesh. Her hand swiped out her gun and she shot a bullet through the creature's stomach. She cursed in Anubian as the creature's heavy weight settled unto her. Pushing it off, she looked up at Shadow. I think there are more And more will come for the scent of blood dripping from Veaji's arm had roused many others' appetites from near and far.
