OOC: Draconan has been dismissed BIC: "Strange..." murmered Kama, almost ignoring Sevj's fatigue completely. The path that had revealed itself was mostly translucent, yet the very top was shaded in a rainbow-like pattern. Kama knelt down to place his hand on it before stepping on it. The pathway felt like warm glass. Kama stood up and moved one foot out in front of him. He placed it on the glass-like pathway which held him. He quickly moved across the rest of the path. "Whatever that switch was, it made a blasted good bridge," spoke Kama, with his back still towards Sevj. "Let's keep moving." Kama possibly wouldn't have been so demanding of Sevj, except that he couldn't emphthize with any magic wielders, and he himself had never casted a spell in his life. As Kama continued through the pathway, he heard the geyser again. It sounded closer than the last time he had heard it. As he walked several more meters, he found another break in the path. This time, however, there was another path running through the break. The path intersecting it was actually a long moving body of water, and Kama couldn't tell how deep it was. It didn't make any difference to him, though, there were 5 giant leaves on the river. Each was two feet apart from each other. Each leaf was 2 by 2 feet. Kama stepped to the first, then the second. They seemed to not move despite his weight. As Kama's foot was over the third leaf, he heard the geyser noise again. As soon as he heard it, the third leaf shot up into the air from the force of some sort of underwater geyser underneath it. Because Kama's foot was over the leaf which was blasted into the air, he was flipped backwards into the cold current of the river. The shock of the cold current kept Kama from reacting for only a few seconds. He quickly swam to the edge of the river path and grabbed onto the edge. The cold current, however, kept dragging him. He had been swept 5 meters from the leaves. He extended his claws which screeched on the sandstone tile that made up the sides of the river. He was too preoccupied with holding on to the edge, that he didn't call out to Sevj.
Sejv felt a little drained after he summoned up the bridge with that button and just looked at Kama run onwards. He muttered under his breath at the inconsiderate nature of the arden while he reached into his robes. He cross the bride the stopped to have a drink and some chocolate, he found little refreshments always helped with magical side effects. He popped the cap on his flash and swished the water around his mouth before swigging it down. He ate a piece of his chocolate bar and savoured the smooth taste as he began to walk on again. He had just finished putting hsi things back into his pockets when he heard the geyser again. He was mildly curious about why any one would build a temple on a geothermic area, he began to wonder if they used the extra heat from the ground to power certain things. It was while he was thinking that he the geyser go again yet this time a he heard a massive splash, he walked on a little faster to see the river. He looked around curiously until he saw Kama holding on for his life. "Oh shit" He mumbled as he ran over and took his hand, heaving him back ashore. "You know you should try to be much more careful" he said with a slightly annoyed tone. His gaze however was searching the room for any ways to cross, he looked at the leaves with mild confusion. "How come the leaves donÂ’t get carried away by the current, ahhh never mind its probably just magic." He said while even more annoyed.
Kama coughed as he climbed back onto the pathway. After shaking some of the water off of his body, he turned to look at Sevj. "Thanks, I don't know how well I would have lasted without you." He walked back to where the leaves were and stepped on the second one. He waited for the geyser to shoot the leaf into the air again before quickly jumping to the third, then the fourth. After Kama made his way over the river, he turned towards Sevj to motion to him to keep following. He presumed that Sevj was in good enough physical shape to make his way over the water. Kama ventured down the dark pathway. The strange noises he had head to a slight degree earlier could no longer be heard. Kama took a turn on the pathway and saw a small rectangular shaft of light. It was the exit to the cave. Kama picked up his walking speed until he reached the exit. As Kama stepped out of the cave, he foot came to rest on sand. He looked around. He was in the middle of a valley. Kama squinted his eyes, as the sunlight was bright compared to the dark cave he had just been in. The valley reached up 5 meters into the sky. As Kama looked to the right, he saw where the earth gradually rose providing an exit to the valley. To the left, the valley seemed to deepen slightly. What desert was he in? Kama climbed to the top of the valley and looked into the ocean of sand. The desert had no dunes like a normal desert. It was flat, and barren. Kama couldn't see any animals around either. The heat pouring on him made him feel a slight thirst. He didn't have any water with him... Kama did remember that back in the cave was that river. Prehaps he would go back later to quench his thirst. Kama pulled out his cellphone. No signal... He turned to look for Sevj. He needed to discuss with the sorcerer what the two of them should try to do.
Sejv was quite glad he had stopped for refreshments, by the time he was nodding to return the thanks to Kama he was already feeling better. He was skipping across the leaves behind Kama as he rejoiced in his regained strength. he went following down after Kama, the twisting tunnels and paths seemed to go on for quite a while until they reached the exit of the cave. The blistering heat of the sun pleated down on the sun baked sands and Sejv instantly loosened his robes, wishing he was wearing something more particle. Yet while Kama walked up the mini sand dune out of the valley Sejv stopped to change his attire. His robes bore many enchantments and one of which was adaptability, with a single word of power they changed into sand yellow shorts and shirt with a wide brimmed cowboy style hat resting firmly on his head. He looked like some regular safari guy. He walked up the barren sands and up the open plains, his eyes scanned over the area that seemed to go on for miles. His glance also noticed the cell phone in Kama's hands, he reached into his pockets and pulled out a full sized flask of the same water he had been drinking before. "Would you like a drink, and any help on the way yet" He said with mild confidence.
"Thanks," said Kama taking the flask. He took a giant gulp of water. He turned to look at Sevj. "I'm not sure where we are. I do not know how far we are to any oasii or any place to rest. Wandering through the desert seems to be our only choice... but its a futile choice." Kama looked across the ocean of sand before taking another drink of water and handing the flask back to Sevj. "Although, maybe we could explore the rest of that tomb and find some magic to get us home," added Kama with feeble hope. Kama walked down into the rift again. He walked slowly, he was doubtful that his walk would allow him to learn more than what he already knew about this place. He didn't walk into the cave that he had come out of earlier, but kept venturing deeper into the rift. When he reached the bottom of the rift, he found a dead end. The wall was crumbling, however. In a tone of irritation, Kama spoke loudly towards Sevj's direction. "I think this is it for us Sevj. We'll either die in this rift, or die wandering in the desert, trying to find a way out of the desert." As Kama sat on a nearby rock, he began to wonder. Suppose someone had wanted him to die. That could mean that the entire trip to this desert was no accident. Could it be possible that Sevj was a bounty hunter of some sort? Kama couldn't be sure. His family always had dealings in the criminal world, there was always an enemy lurking around waiting to kill off the rest of the family. Kama decided not to say anything to Sevj. With an infinite supply of water, he could last at most, a month without food. Especially if he conserved his energy. Kama growled in frusteration. He kicked at crumbling wall at the dead end of the rift. As his foot made contact with the wall, the wall gave way, and Kama tumbled through a hole which led into another tomb of some sort.... Unlike the floor of the other tomb, this tomb had a wooden floor. Kama got up and brushed himself off. Actually, Kama couldn't stand all the way, he had to hunch over slighly. The cave which he was in was only about 5 and a half feet tall. The entire cave seemed to be constructed out of wood. There was a musty smell. As Kama pulled out his flashlight and shone it around the cave, he saw beams of wood. Prehaps they held the cave up? Because this discovery held so much interest to Kama, he didn't think to call for Sevj. Instead, Kama wandered into the cave which gradually became taller until he was able to stand straight. He finally got a good look around the room he was in. It was about 30 feet wide and 10 feet long. He was about 5 feet from the entrance he had come into. There was only one exit from this room. It was on the opposite side of the room Kama had come in from. A small passage way was about in the middle of this opposite wall. It was 3 feet wide. As Kama neared the entrance of the passage way, he saw inscribed on the wall to the left of the passage strange pictures. It seemed to be a diagram of some sort of worm-like creature. However, the language which described the creature was foreign to Kama, so he didn't bother spending much time looked at the picture. Ever since he had entered the cave, Kama had been hearing from time to time, a noise which sounded like the gnashing of teeth. After hearing the noise for the fifth time, Kama realized that it was coming from above. As he looked upward, towards the wooden ceiling, he saw a small gap between the wood. However, he couldn't see anything through the gap, just darkness.
Sejv sighed as he saw Kama ran off to down the path yet couldnÂ’t help but feel slight depressed. The arden had given some god awful speech about dying in a hole somewhere, it was silly really since he always carried enough food to last for a good week. Yet he did have some what of a plan, he theorised that if they found the book they could use it to travel home they same way it took them. Either by some ritual or by burning the book he would get home. He was too busy to die. "Yes Kama although I think its a little early to give up just yet." He said with a roll of his eyes. He watched painstakingly as Kama ran off once again to god knows where. Knowing what he was like he decided to follow him just in case he buried his head in the sand or something. He saw with some amusement Kama smashing down a wall of the rift and falling inside. However reluctantly though he followed inside the small dank tunnel type thing to the sound of gnashing teeth. However he crawled painstakingly after Kama just in case he was in trouble again. He stood up as soon as the ceiling would permit him, the small confides were giving him a bad back already. Yet as soon as he stood up his eyes were drawn immediately to the strange creature diagram, it seemed something that was rather vicious. he sighed very dramatically. "You know Kama if you had controlled your urge to poke my book we wouldnÂ’t be here." He said with his voice full of annoyance, yet with the ever increasing sounds of teeth he didnÂ’t think they had time for an argument.
Kama whipped his head around to look at Sevj. "That book worked on its own accordance, not my doing." He glared at the mage. "As for this cave. I think we can allow light to be shed into it. Prehaps if I gave it a new sunroof..." Kama didn't like the idea of venturing around in a dark cave with strange noises using only his flashlight to see with, so he left the cave and moved back outside into the blazing sunlight. He walked out of the rift and to the location that was above the cave he had just been in. Kama glanced into the rift from the edge of it to see if Sevj had come out of the cave yet. He returned his attention to the location he was at. It was no matter, Kama would be back down there as soon as he broke a hole in the top of the cave. Kama began to dig in the sand. The sand was warm at first, but as he dug deeper, the sand got cooler. Kama kept digging until he hit a hard board. He had only dug about 1 foot before he had hit it. He moved the sand around it some. From what Kama could see, the board that he had hit was fused with other boards to form the roof of the cave he had previously been in. All he needed to do was somehow break the boards to shed some light in the cave... Kama pulled out his knife. It was a standard combat knife. Approximately three-fourths of a foot long and very sharp. It had teeth on the side opposite of the blade. Kama set the knife by his side and dug around the area around the board until he had a 3 by 3 foot area which he had dug away to reveal the wood. He ran his knife along the boards until he felt a tiny crevice. Kama carefully pushed his knife deeper in the crevice, forcing the boards apart slightly. When his knife was in the boards as deep as it could go, Kama pulled the handle of the knife slightly to the left. The boards creaked slightly. Kama pushed a little harder and he heard a creaking noise. Kama pushed on the knife a third time and he heard a snap. Then, the boards he was kneeling on gave away and collapsed.
Sejv hid a smile when Kama sent him an evil glare, he was somewhat liked angering the arden with a comment here and there. Yet he couldnÂ’t be bothered to go back into the glaring sun light so he let the action arden go do it himself. He found a nice, less dusty sport and sat down with his back up against the wall while his hands rummaged around for more violent equipment. He already had his sword but he didnÂ’t want to soly rely on it. He began to search in his emergency pocket where he kept his most important items. He kept a small calibre pistol some where with about 2 clips of ammo. It was purely for stupid circumstances where magic wasnÂ’t working, which surprisingly happened once every while. He pulled out the small pistol and worked the grip into his hand getting a feel for the weapon. He slid back the chamber loading the first bullet into it from the clip. As the impending scratching sounds got nearer he tightened his grip just as Kama came through the ceiling with a crash.
Kama fell, but was able to spread his wings after he crashed through the second story of the cave and lessen any damage he might have received from his fall. He landed in a kneeling posture. He got up and folded his wings. As he looked around the cave, he noticed that it was significantly brighter. "Looks like my sunroof works," smiled Kama, even though he had just had an unexpected drop. "Let's go see what this cave has in it," finished Kama as he dusted himself off a bit. He walked through the pathway he had seen earlier. The cave gave Kama the creeps. He could swear that he kept seeings a figure on the second story walking above him. However, whenever he tried to directly look towards what he thought he saw, he saw nothing. The pathway had turned out to be a long tunnel. It went foward for about 5 meters. Then it turned and split into crossroads. Kama turned to the left pathway and continued. As he walked farther away from the sunroof he had made, it became darker and he eventually had to pull out and use his flashlight again. Kama eventually came to the end of the pathway and found himself in a large chamber. The chamber had giant statues in kneeling postures. Each statue held a bowl in it's extended hands. Kama held one of his hands up to his chin as he thought. What were the bowls for? Sacrifices prehaps? Kama spotted more pictures engraved on the wall between the statues. The first picture showed a dragon placing sand in the bowl. The next picture showed the same dragon kneeling before the statue, placing his hands on the ground in front of the statue. The third picture showed food and water. Kama wasn't entirely sure what this meant. Prehaps the people who used to live here thought that if they worshipped the gods of Ramath, they would get food. Why would you worship with sand though?
Sejv gave the adren a puzzled look, it seemed pointless to make a sun roof for a cave when they were moving on anyway, if anything it was nice to get out of the sun. Yet it he was trying to make sure their was good air circulation he didn’t need to tear the whole roof out. Still it made good entertainment watching some crazy arden dive through the ceiling and nearly land face first. Yet Sejv just nodded at his achievement, he didn’t feel like talking much especially with all the dust that seemed to be sticking to his clothes rather annoyingly. He firmly decided that a mouthful of dust was not worth any witty remark. He followed Kama down into the depths patiently yet not so calmly, he was getting strange sensations of being watched constantly. Plus the odd fleeting glimpses of something moving, far bigger than any bug that seemed hover in the corner of his vision yet every time he turned his head nothing was their. he clenched his gun tighter in his left handed grip and his right hand feeling out his sword pommel. He wasn’t taking any chances since his magic wasn’t working in the infernal tomb, his mind however was distracted when he saw the large statues with all the symbols. His face was aglow with a smile. “Lets put sand in it then and see what happens. Maybe its like the bridge and we can get some fine cuisine." He said with eager expectations, he was going to be rather pissed if it just stayed as sand.
Kama grabbed a handful of sand and poured it into the bowl that the statue was holding. The sand fell through a crack in the bottom of the bowl. Kama shook his head and turned away. "Its no good. Even if these statues did at one point, change sand into food. They no longer do so. They are too old now..." Kama walked away from the statues. As he was leaving the room, he heard the moan of a thill. "Who's there?" shouted Kama. The noise sounded like it was coming from the room directly across from the room with the stautes. Kama only heard the moaning slowly fade away. Kama quickly rushed into the room where he thought he heard the noise. Just as he did so, his flashlight flickered off. Kama scowled and hit it against his thigh. "Thought this flashlight was 100% reliable," growled Kama. He felt something brush the back of his shoulder just as the flashlight came on again. Kama quickly whirled around and shone the flashlight behind him. Kama was startled to see the grotesque corpse of a thill pinned again the wall by a knife jutting through its chest. He had accidentally brushed up against the paw of the thing. However, the corpse appeared to have been there for a long time and tts body was shrivled. Yet, the flesh of the corpse had dried out instead of decaying. Prehaps that was a result of the hot desert air... As Kama was recovering from his near-heart attack experience, he heard the sound of nashing teeth again. He shined his flashlight around the room. The room was very big. Kama couldn't see any evidence of a second story either. The room was shaped like a giant box and after walking into the room, there was a path on the other side of the room that continued onward. Kama looked around the room. There were other corpses like the one he had just encountered that were hanging as a result of knives. Out of irritation, Kama fired a shot at one of the bodies. He heard a bang from the gun and then a thud as the bullet it hit the dried flesh. A hollow wind blew through the room. Kama knew little about magic, but instinct told him that the entire temple had been cursed somehow, long ago.... OOC: I'm struggling to put my thoughts into words. However, at the least, I hope you are enjoying this somewhat. I'm not Edgar Allen Poe when it comes to writing suspense ;)
Sejv looked in excitement at the sand pouring though the statues bowl and hands, he awaited eagerly for the magical transformation yet to his disappointment nothing happened. He frowned and furrowed his brow at the thing, walking up and giving it a sharp prod with his finger. "Well that sucked, maybe if we put mor......" The sound of of the moan cut him off in mid sentence, chilling him to the core. He was not very fond of dead or dying and especially people being tortured and the mere thought of it sparked some anger in him, chasing away the fear. His gaze however immediately fell to the corpse on the wall and he jumped back in horror. It loo9ked like someone had been pinned to the wall alive judging by the expression on the things face yet who could really tell. As soon as he heard the gnashing of teeth he tried to summon up and fire ball yet all he managed was a small flame sitting in his hand. Cursing in frustration he span around and aimed as the flash light moved around the room. He gasped in more horror at the mass of corpses on the wall and the sickness of it all. He felt almost sick from the sigh of it all but managed to focus it all into angry. It all snapped though when the gun shot ripped through the body and the chill wind blew through the room. "Ah well if they didnÂ’t know we were here they certainly do now" he said in a very irritated sarcasm. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Nah I think your doing great, and I like a good action thread especially such a well planned one. Sorry I cant post so regularly though, the work load is getting very heavy right now.</td></tr></table>
"If there is anything in this forsaken cave, I would prefer it to know that we are here," replied Kama fiercely. "If anything hostile creatures lurk in the darknes-" Before Kama could speak, a strong gust of wind suddenly blew him off of his feet. Kama landed on his back with a soft thud on the floor of the temple. By this time, Kama was enraged. Trembling, Kama got to his feet and walked quickly deeper into the temple. Kama shouted as he walked from the room into the next passage way. "Come out to play! You fiends don't scare me the least bit. I was even frie-" As Kama turned left to go around a corner, he heard a scratching noise. Kama looked down the new pathway. It kept going as far as Kama could see. There was also a place where the path turned off to the right and the left. That area with the new pathways was 3 meters away from Kama. The scratching Kama heard came from the passage leading to the right, it was also painful to listen to. The sound of nails on a chalkboard thrice-fold. Kama gritted his teeth and laid his ears against his head. He quickly moved towards the passage leading to the right and aimed both his flashlight and pistol down the passage. As soon as he had done so, the noise stopped and Kama saw nothing down the passage. Kama thought he heard a tap behind him. He quickly turned to look into the passage behind himself. Nothing. Kama looked towards the passage he had come from, the passage that lead to the room with the hanging corpses. He shouted towards Sevj. "What do you think of these pointless games that the spirits like to play with us?" Kama thought that he felt something brush his shoulder. He quickly turned to face the passage behind him. Kama saw nothing different aside from an engraving on the wall. That hadn't been there before. Had it?
Sejv was in the process of thinking up some sarcastic remark when he decided it wasnÂ’t worth the effort. Just as he came to that conclusion Kama started up on another one of his rants against the world or the cave. Sejv found it funny as hell yet also mildly disturbing, if they werenÂ’t in some freaky deaky cave then it would have been fine yet strange images of people losing there mind kept reminding Sejv that it really wasnÂ’t that funny. Sejv was walking and pacing around behind Kama when threw gust of wind knocked him off his feet. Sejv feel down in a pool of dust and picked him self up grumbling about Kama pissing things off again. Before he could complain he got a glimpse of Kama running down some corridor with guns waving around, being the responsible one though Sejv went after him. Creeping down the vile tunnels sent shivers up his spine, scratching sounds of malcontent were constantly coming form every corner and now Sejv was sure he had seen something ahead near Kama. Closing the gap between them he heard the words of Kama and his question. "Im sure its because they just like you Kama, stop getting so stressed about it." he said in a not bothered tone yet truly he was starting to get worried, he was now planning on major violence.
Kama frowned, not replying to Sevj's comment. He approached the hyroglyphic (sp) carefully. As he knelt down to look at the symbol which had been drawn at a waist high length, Kama heard a dripping sound coming from deep inside the tomb. He hadn't noticed it before. He wasn't sure why he had just noticed it. When Kama looked closely at the symbol, he saw what looked like two circles engraved in the wall. Upon further inspection, Kama noticed two circles inside of those circles. In fact, the more Kama looked at the drawing on the wall, the more he thought it looked like.... a face? No doubt that was the only thing Kama could interrpret this drawing to be was a pictures of a face. Why? And what mad creature drew it? What evil games were planned in this tomb? These questions ran through Kama's mind as he stood up fully again. "There's no sense in standing around. Let's go deeper into the cave." Spoke Kama to Sevj in a calmer tone. He got up and continued walking down the path he had been on. There was no sense in wandering through the two intersecting paths. Only if this path made a dead end would Kama go back to the other pathways. Kama reached the end of the pathway which opened into a large room. There was a pool inside of this room. The pool was massive, it must covered an area which led deeper into the tomb than Kama could see. Floating on a small island not far from the shore of the pool was the book. The Desert Book! Kama spotted it almost immediately as his light shone over it. "Sevj, that book is here, in the room. Come quickly!" Kama walked up to the edge of the pool and looked into it. He could see the bottom of the pool. The pool must have been 12 feet deep. Kama didn't think anything when he jumped into the pool of water. As Kama hit the water, he sunk down a ways. As he swam back up to the surface, he opened his eyes to see into the lake. Kama spotted a creature swimming silently towards him at a fast rate. It looked like an aligator in some respects. However, it had four fins instead of legs. It had a tail that was like a fin. The creature must have been 33 feet long. It had a large head with black and lifeless eyes. After its eyes, its entire head narrowed down to a long, rounded tube-like snout which was filled with teeth the size of Kama's thumb and middle finger combined. Its skin was an opal green and its skin seemed smooth like that of a whale. Kama got out of the water in virtually no time at all. Adrenaline can have amazing effects at times... Shaking, Kama ran a long way a way from the pool, to the back of the room. The water of the pool only rippled where Kama had jumped in and then got out. The creature, or creatures that lurked within had made no evidence that they existed in the water....
Sejv ignored Kama and his irreverent comments about moving on when he was the one who stopped in the first place, the mood was getting increasingly darker anyway and they didnÂ’t need any more tension between them. He walked slowly behind Kama but never let him get out of sight, his eyes trailing his every move to see where he would wander off next. Suddenly Kama seemed to move with a purpose then his words made Sejv break into a incredibly fast sprint to catch up. The desert book was his property and he didnÂ’t want Kama getting his greasy mitts on it anytime soon. He burst into the room running at full pelt to see Kama swimming rather fast away from some deformed whale type lizard thing. It looked absolutely disgusting and Sejv was already pissed with all this anxiety so he ended up focusing a large amount of rage at it. Whipping out his sword in one smooth motion he ran straight for the water while his other hand worked his favourite brand of elemental. With some extra air lift on his side he ran gracefully over the water with his feet just tipping in and out of the water. He frowned though since he was meant to be flying, cursing this anti-magical place he jumped forward and trailed the sword over the back on the creature, landing on its think leathery hide with the sword firmly stabbed deep inside it. He was about to unload a shell or too into it before it thrashed around madly sending him flying off into the smaller inner island. He landed on his cushion of air, the last of his spell and groaned slightly while he landed on his feet. He span around to see no trace of the creature at all, only Kama standing on the other shore. "I donÂ’t think its dead, and I donÂ’t really want to touch this book until it is. Do you have any grenades." He yelled out towards Kama while constantly sending the book lots of glances.
Kama shook his head. "No grenades." He slowly walked towards the pool of water. He looked at the magical desert book. He had to get it to get back home somehow... Just then, Kama saw a dark green figure swim by the pool of water in front of him. He aimed his handgun. The creature made a jerking movement as it quickly swam away from Kama's sight, faster than the blink of an eye. Kama noticed something he hadn't seen before. Small stepping stones randomly scattered throughout the pool. He could see a path that he could hop across that would take him to the cursed book. However, Kama was slightly hesitant. The creature could surface under him, grab him, and drag him back under. The last place Kama wanted to be was underwater again, especially with that horrible creature. Kama did need grenades, and he didn't carry any. "Sevj, I'm going for the book," spoke Kama. He was making a bold move, but he had a feeling that with the book, he could get back home somehow. Assuming that the monster underwater didn't eat him first. Kama backed up from the shore and got a running start. He ran and jumped to the first rock. Then the second. Kama couldn't hear or see the underwater creature. He kept jumping from rock to rock until he was two jumps away from the book. "I almost have it!" shouted Kama as he jumped to another rock. Kama was about to jump to the island with the book. However, just as he jumped, he felt the back of his pants snag on something. Kama turned to see what had happened. The sea monster had poked its head out of the water and grabbed the back of Kama's pants. Kama stumbled and fell foward. However, he quickly grabbed the edge of the island with the cursed book. The creature let go of his leg and moved underwater. Kama needed to get on dry land, the creature would come up under him soon....
Sejv raced after Kama as soon as he saw the monster whale thing snaking up after him, his lean and thin figure jumped effortlessly over the stones towards Kama. He didnÂ’t have time or energy for another spell so he was relying on just pure speed. He could see the monster moving up towards Kama aging, who seemed to be struggling on the shore in an attempt to get himself out of the water. Sejv could see his swords stuck in the creatures back as it neared to take a chunk out of Kama. Sejv pulled out the hand gun and snap shot some slugs into it with a few cracks of the pistol. The bullets shot straight into its rubber like flesh causing it to rear up into the air before thrashing down again, Sejv ran fast before the thing could sink under. AS soon as he was close enough he pulled the sword out with a yanked and raised it in a over hand style for the killer blow. The creature however was far quicker and it sank under the water in a shower in water and spray leaving only the rippling dark water. Sejv quickly hopped onto the island and turned to heave Kama by the arm onto dry and safe land. "That was too close, lets get the hell out of here." he said in a exhausted tone, slouching on the sandy stone surface. He didnÂ’t have the energy for all this fighting business.
Kama nodded in agreement. He walked towards the book on the stand. As he walked towards it, the land he was standing on shook. Kama nearly lost his balance. He quickly regained and looked around. Then, suddenly, the island was flipped over. Kama, Sevj, and the book were thrown into the water. The island they had been standing on was more of a stone suspended by magic. The creature underwater had nudged it enough to flip it. Kama hit the water. He felt his heart pounding in his chest. He was now in the realm of the creature. Kama saw the black book sinking into the bottom of the pool. Kama started swimming towards it with all of his strength. Just as Kama was centimeters from it, he felt the tips of large teeth embrace his body. In the next split second, the creature would have snapped its jaw shut and killed Kama. However, before the next split second came, Kama grasped the book with the tips of his fingers. Time seemed to freeze. Kama could still see the water around him but no longer felt it. Then, everything went black suddenly.... Kama woke up sometime later. He was lying in the middle of a playground at Janardan. Some younger dragons, around six or eight Ramathan years old were hunched over looking at him. "Where did he come from?" asked one of the thills. "I dunno, let's get a teacher," replied another dragon. "Look, he opened his eyes!" exlaimed another young one. Kama quickly stood up and the young dragons around him scurried away. "Where am I?" asked Kama, looking around. A blue and white dragon spoke up. "J-Jandardan sir." "Is that so?" replied Kama, with a hint of happiness in his voice. Kama suddenly broke into a grin and started walking away from the kids. Then he turned back and looked at the younglings. "Don't play with magic, it can get you into a lot of trouble." The kids looked at each other and then some of them started running towards the voice of a teacher who called them in for the next class. Kama spotted Sevj not too far from where he had been. Sevj was on the outskirts of the playground, the book resting on his chest. Prehaps the book understood that Sevj was its owner... Kama didn't know for sure. "You awake?"
Sejv was in the process of wrangling the creatures tail in a desperate attempt to stop it eating Kama, it wouldnÂ’t have worked of course. He looked in horror as its jaws sank around Kama then suddenly the world stopped, time froze and the water became like air. It was quite curious and magical sensation although under the circumstances Sejv wouldnÂ’t have liked to repeat it. Then it all went black and the darkness closed in around him, yet in what seemed like an instant later he felt the boundaries of his body again. The grass under his body and the sound of children, he didnÂ’t get up. He opened his eyes as Kama spoke, squinting into the light of the blue sky. "Barely" He murmured back, slowly staggering to his feet. His hand resting on one of the railings, using them for extra support. He finial realised he was in Janardan but he didnÂ’t really care, he was going to teleport him self straight back home as soon as possible. He did however have the book firmly in his grasp, he was not letting it out of his sigh again.
