  1. K so uh, I was wondering if I could get someone to help me out with some CSS coding for Gaia(I'm gay) cause the most I can do on there without using CSS is do the background and add images but I want them to see the background image... but seeing as I know no CSS overriding codes, I can't really do this.

    So, I was hoping someone could help me out a bit. And I'd also like to get some fancier CSS done on my character profiles here, too, so help in that would be appreciated, too.

    I've seen Dumu and Shriker's profile pages and I know they do their own custom CSS cause they're smart little codemonkeys, but I know nothing other than... copy-pasting codes and editing from there. On DA I figured out how to make my own Element codes to add new stuff, though I've yet to figure out exactly what all I can do with said code...

    Can you use Element codes here? And all that jazz. I'm afraid to experiment cause I don't wanna break one of my profiles and have someone have to go clean up my horrible monster mess. Surely you guys who're sharp in CSS coding would know what I'm talking about, but just to clarify...

    <table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>CODE </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'>
    }
    .element {
    position:relative !important;
    overflow:auto!important;
    vertical-align:top !important;
    height:190px !important;
    width:400px !important;
    background:#aba7ff!important;
    border:1px #2c527d solid !important;
    padding:5px!important;
    }
    </td></tr></table>

    Something like this. ... I'm such an idiot xD I see all this fancy stuff on the code you guys have available for everyone to edit and shit, but I don't know what I can and can't change so I don't really wanna mess around with it too much and since I'm not just asking for help on this site, I need replies while I go cram with yer tutorials for CSS here.. whatever. But I do still need help. I don't know what CSS will work on some sites and... just.. I'm prolly over complicating this but

    I can't stress enough that I need help and I'll be sad if I'm ignored. ):

    but then again who really cares?

    Thanks.

  2. Aww ^^ I got a mention. I'm about to head off to bed, but I'm not ignoring this. I'll try to give you a hand when I get back from College "tomorrow" (define:tomorrow; tomorrow adv: "tomorrow" - a term used by students to mean states of planetary rotation divided by sleep cycles. Suggested that a student will live longer, because they sleep less). <- Proof I'm tired. But yeah! You're not ignored!

  3. sdfaasdg that made me laugh xD thanks, I really appreciate yer help(and the joke fuck yea)

  4. Sorry I didn't get back to you on this today and yesterday. The network crashed and it's been a bit buggy. I spent the last few hours working on my avatar, when I really should have been posting here, but there we are!

    First things first, there are some places you should visit to help you out:

    Babillon put up some useful tutorials in the Character Profile Help forum, too.

    I'm not good at CSS. I played with it a LOT. I tweaked and tweaked until things turned out the way I wanted them to, so I'm really not that special :p

    If you want to have a go at the CSS file for the character profile page, then you can fetch it here:

    I had a quick look at the .element tag. It looks like it requires specific HTML. I haven't seen or heard of the .element tag before, and I'm also a little brainfarted at the !important part =p Questions like that will most likely be best answered by Jodie or someone else who may know CSS better than I do. My CSS - like I said - has been a LOT of trial and error, and unless I look at my own code again I can't really begin to tell you how I did it, apart from to match up the CSS with the HTML and adjust it bit by bit.

    The links above may be of some use, but I'll look more into the .element tag and try to have a better answer for you very soon.

    STAY TUNED =D!

  5. Thank you so much, I'll definitely have a good look at those. But man, that's usually how I work is tweak and tweak until I'm happy with it so yeh. Thanks again, and thanks for looking into the .element tag for me. Also, I love yer new avatar, it's the first thing I noticed when you posted besides the links. xD

  6. If you'd like any CSS I've used in my char profiles (apart from Dumu - he's having a much needed overhaul) then feel free to ask. Kalum has the most custom CSS out of the lot of them. If you feel there's any more I can do to help you out, just shout =)

  7. I'll definitely have a look, it's so nice of you to offer yer own CSS xD

    And yea, I need more help except this doesn't have anything to do with CSS... it has to do with me somehow screwing websites up on my browser.

    I was making a new thread in this forum and while I was typing, trying to paste something, I apparently hit a wrong button or something and it made Ramath bigger than it was before.

    This happened before on another forum when I was trying to paste something and hit a wrong button, but instead of making it bigger on my screen it made it smaller.

    wtf did I do and how can I fix it xD sdfga /idiot

  8. Depends on what browser you're using, but to make sites bigger, it's generally "Ctrl +", and to make them smaller it's "Ctrl -". :)

  9. wow that was relatively simple, but I have no idea how I accidentally did that when 'v' and the '-' and '+' signs are across the keyboard from each other. xD Thanks.

    now off to study CSS :3
