Sejv folded his arms and frowned at Jad in a disappointed way yet he could only bring him self to smile, he had know only to well what it was like to be on the receiving end of a harsh tone and he never liked it. He dropped his glaring pose and just smiled again, every one makes mistakes. "Ah its ok Jad, its hard to stay cool when something doesnÂ’t work first try." he said with a some what friendly tone yet it was also sympathetic at the same time. He handed back the wand to Jad with a grin. "Of course, remember power and command in the voice. After all your trying to get the magic around you to listen, the wand is just a conductor." Trying his best to give him some helpful tips, he really wanted him to succeed.
Jad's face lit up instantly. The wand felt less foreign the second time. He had squashed it with smothering strength before. Now, he let his paw fingers wrap around it comfortably. His focus was no longer on the wand itself, but on the Magic of the Temple. He smiled. So the power wasn't really in the wand. Sejv had said it was just a 'conductor'. It was the Magic he had to address the Magic whom he had to somehow speak into bidding his will. He could do that. "Gastra Expladindro!" It was the most extraordinary feeling. For an instant, he felt as though he was absorbing the surrounding magic. It was odd... Especially for one who would almost have denied the existence of magic a few hours earlier. The particles of magic, like water vapour, accumulated and condensed into tiny torrents that converged, all leading to a common estuary: a shower of multicoloured light shot out of his wand like a rainbow cascade. Jad gaped, dumbfounded.
Sejv just smiled slyly as the shower of colour rained over the alter like a rainbow shattering into a thousand pieces. But his gaze was more enjoying the look of complete surprise on Jad's face which was a true delight, he somewhat understood know why people wanted to teach, after all it was never about the money. he under stood it was to see a young mind open up to a new experience and to learn a whole new aspect on something. It was quite gratifying. "Very well done, I knew you had it in you. Just remember you have to work for the things you want in life, nothing comes easy." he said quietly yet as pleased and as friendly as he could ever sound. He walked over to the alter and with a wave of his hand he floated the chalice off it and into his hand. He looked at it for a moment and grinned at his reflection in it, before throwing it over to Jad. "Your pay." He said with a funny grin plastered over his face. As he proceeded to set up the alter for teleportation back to the guild. Magnus would be very pleased with it.
Jad caught the chalice mechanically, still unable to connect with the reality of what had just occured. He should know better than to rest on his laurels. There would be hard work yet before he could even think of calling himself a magician. But, for now, modesty would have to wait, and perhaps a long time since Jad put that virtue at the bottom of a very long metaphorical waiting list. He exuded confidence and smirked widely. "Where will we be taking it?" he demanded.
Sejv immediately stopped what he was doing and turned his head towards Jad with a massive grin on his face. He had an odd twinkle in his eye, he fully turned and crossed his arms together in a stupid pose. "And who said anything about we, you welcome to come but it means hard work. No lazy around or anything. And we are going to the mages guild. Just so ya know" He said with a delightful tone. He would be more than just please if Jad decided to take up magic, at least just to learn a bit would dramatically increase his perspective on the world. Some many more things made sense, the hidden secrets. There was no limit to what he could learn if he wanted it bad enough.
Excitement set his violet eyes ablaze. Mage Guilds? Jad didn't really remember learning much about those, but he thought he had an idea of what to expect: A stronghold of magic, peopled with the most powerful mages and talented apprentices... Possibly even a magical library with wealths upon wealths of magical literature... He couldn't wait. The grin never left his face. "I promise no to be lazy, Sir." "Where is the guild exactly? How will we get there? And do they wear pointy hats, Sir? The mages, I mean, do they really wear the pointy hats you see in books?"
Sejv was grinning like a fool as he continued to set up the altar again, working busily as he chuckled to himself about Jad. He fixed a special locater to the alter, making sure it would get included in the spell. He made the last preparations as he looked over to Jad. "Well..... the guild is on an island in the Sagar sea and it we get magically transported there." Then he started laughing "And no one wears hats unless they want to, and also my name is Sejv not sir." He said while still grinning. He patted down his pockets looking for something until he drew out a small round disk type object and placed it in Jads hand. Then getting out his rune of transporting which looked like a silver rock with an emblem of a building on it. "Ready, " He said with eager anticipating in his voice.
