  1. Cayson, to put it bluntly, was furious. It was one thing for someone to badmouth him. It was an entirely different matter to badmouth his girl. Had this been a guy insulting Riot, Cayson would have been out of the pool in a flash and would have had the offender in a stranglehold as he beat the shit out of him. Radin would probably have helped and would have thrown in a few punches and kicks as well. There were several factors against him though. The first being that even though this girl was ugly as hell, she still was a girl (though perhaps from a certain angle she did look a little like a male). Even though Cayson so desperately wanted to hit her, his moral upbringing held him back. The second factor was where they were. This was a public cruise. Any type of physical violence would probably cause security to swarm. Who knew, he might even be kicked off the ship for starting something. Then of course there would be Koani's silent disappointment in him which had always been a great deterrent.

“I know your type," Cayson began, his voice low and stony. “You're just jealous. Radin? C'mon." Cayson glanced over at the green arden. It was quite obvious that Cayson had a little revengeful plan. Cayson then swum over to the edge of the pool and rather purposely hauled himself out of the waters near where the trio was standing. He flicked his hair out of his eyes as he waited for Radin to join him. The two smaller girls took a few fidgeting steps backwards, obviously sensing that something bad was about to happen.

Cayson and Riot being together upset the thill. The possibility of them getting married was right there on the table though. It was something that she was going to have to swallow and get used to. The mention of kids also disconcerted her. Little ankle biters running around? Didn't the world have enough of them as it was? Though Kakos wanted to grimace, she managed to smile as Riot jokingly mentioned babysitting. Not that she minded that her help wouldn't be wanted.

When the waiter returned with their drinks, Kakosenas immediately took a sip of her water. It was cold, perfectly chilled, and the ice cubes floating within it clinked lightly as they bumped against the glass. Riot was still talking. Now she had moved onto a different subject. Okay, so it wasn't quite a different subject. She was still babbling on about Cayson. Though now she was divulging her thoughts, or rather, her nervousness as it related to sexual intercourse. Shriker was trying her best to listen.

“I'm sure that you've got nothing to worry about," Kakos said after a moment. “If he's the kind of guy that you keep on saying that he is, I'm sure..." Here Shriker trailed off. Her eyes had caught sight of something, or rather someone, sparkling a few lengths over Riot's right shoulder. The chimera's mouth clamped shut and she downcast her eyes so that she was now looking fixedly at the table in front of her. “Shit," she breathed her voice quiet and a little shaky. “Shit. Shit. Shit. He saw me. She saw me too."

  2. Cayson’s cue was unmistakable. Giving a nod, Radin paddled after him, his jaw set as he glared at the three thills. Riot was one of his best friends, and even if she hadn’t also been Case’s lover and soon to be fiancée, he would’ve been vexed with these girls. He continued to give them an icy look from behind his shades as he hoisted himself out of the pool and rose next to the other arden, his serpentine tail flicking in a rather predatory fashion as he prowled towards them alongside his friend.

“It’s going to take both of us," Radin joked darkly to Cayson as he stalked around the chubby female’s wide girth. Her friends had backed away, but she was standing her ground. Her yellowed eyes watched as the pair of ardens now began to circle her like a couple of sharks, but she did not appear fazed by their movements. She was probably fairly confident in her rather solid build.

“Don’t you dare touch me," she eventually said when Radin began to close in. The green male parted his jaws and hissed like a feral creature, before punctuating this sound with a deep laugh.

“A few minutes ago, and you wanted to be all over us," he said scornfully, and then he made his move. Exchanging an imperceptible signal with Cayson, Radin hunkered down slightly and charged forth, using his shoulder to butt into the large thill’s fleshy side. Case, too, joined in the effort, and with both of them pushing with all their might, they shoved the cocky “wannabe" forwards, towards the edge of the pool, and finally into it. She fell forwards quite unceremoniously and caused quite a large splash.

“Jerks!" one of her friends screamed. The Dragyn turned to see which one it was, and his shaded gaze landed upon the freakishly skinny girl as she rushed towards his side and peered towards her obese friend. “She can’t swim, you stupid assholes!" she cried, and then leapt in and stroked towards her friend.

“I wouldn’t worry about it!" Radin called after her, his voice filled with derision. “She has enough blubber to float herself as well as you two other whore faces. Teaches you not to fuck with us or those we love, yeah?"

    . . .

Riot shrugged lightly, not knowing what else to say. She was rather intuitive to KakosÂ’s distaste towards the conversation and Cayson overall, and so she did not say anything more. Instead, she contented herself by nibbling at her straw and occasionally taking a long sip of the smoothie, which was melting rather quickly due to the dayÂ’s warmth.

It was just as a lovely breeze kicked up that Riot noticed Shriker tense. The chimera then lowered her gaze towards the table and seemingly refused to look up, as a stream of curse words floated out of her mouth. Riot blinked at her words, and wondered who Kakosenas could possibly be referring to. He? She? Seeing her? What?

“What…" the banded thill began to say, and she turned her head this way and that way, searching for the pendragon whose gaze Kakos was avoiding. “Oh," she then said, recognition and surprise at once mingling in her voice.

A few tables away, there was a draconic arden seated alongside a thill. He was rather draconic and lustrous in appearance, and Riot might have found him to be handsome or at least intriguing, had she not known who he was. SheÂ’d seen pictures of him, though; it was Refsto Hydrus, one of the new Council of Thirteen members. He also happened to be KakosenasÂ’s father, and the female flanking him was her mother. It was ironic that such a diabolical chimera could have been sired by such an upright citizen so involved in politics, and it was this irony that was causing RiotÂ’s friend to become so alarmed.

“Yeah. He definitely… sees you. He’s looking this way," Riot spoke slowly after a moment, chewing on her lip. She wondered what Kakos was going to do; she was obviously very alarmed.

  3. As always, Radin seemed to know exactly what was going through Cayson's mind. He didn't even need to be told what the game plan was. He simply knew. So it was with a joint effort, the two ardens successfully shoved the offending thill into the pool. The following splash and her friend's angry outcry only seemed to fuel Cayson's disdain. He laughed at Radin's comment and gave his friend an underhanded “high" five. All was well until Cayson's gaze fell upon the third girl. She caught Cay's icy gaze then appeared to go quite rigid with fear. To him she was as much of a culprit as her tubby friend. She had been backing the girl up hadn't she? Her support had been silent, but it was still support. Cayson took a step toward her and immediately the thill tried to scramble out of harm's way. She wasn't quick enough though. Cayson's blue banded hand caught her by the arm. In one quick and fluid movement, the arden had her secure in both of his arms. He then quite easily tossed her into the pool to be with her comrades.

“You'd think people would know by now not to mess with Dragyn's or Lapices. Shame really. Too bad I don't think that fat bimbo has quite learnt her lesson yet." Even as Cayson was saying this, he was walking. At one end of the pool there was an intercom system and it was this he was making a beeline for. In bold red print above it it said that it was only to be used by ship personnel, and even then, it was only for emergencies. Cayson wasn't exactly personnel... but this was a bit of an emergency. Of sorts. Case leaned his face close to the intercom and pressed the talk button.

“Attention," he began, his voice now being broadcast over the vast expanses of the ship. He was probably going to get in a load of trouble for this, but it was worth it. “Could ship security please report to the on deck pool." Cayson's voice took on a tone of false urgency. “It appears as if some sort of hulking fat-ass whale has managed to get on board. Please approach with extreme caution. The creature is rank, incredibly foul, and is so disgusting looking, you may find yourself having to hold onto your skin as it tries to crawl away. Ship security, please report to the on deck pool. Thank you. Over."

Shriker tittered nervously. She should have known. Really. She should have. She was mentally kicking herself now. Of course Refsto was going to be on the cruise. She'd stumbled across his name in the papers a few weeks back and had shivered as the name leapt out at her. Had she forgotten that he'd be here? He'd been chosen for the Council. Undoubtedly, the arden had to be one of the best mages, if not the best, in all of Ramath-lehi. Refsto's aura, even though Shriker was seated so far away from him, caused her to feel uneasy. If there was one being in all of Ramath-lehi who Kakosenas was afraid of – it was him. Kakos' tail curled tightly about herself as Riot mentioned that he was looking in their direction. She had already been seen though, so that didn't matter now. Refsto hadn't even made eye contact with her, and still Shriker knew that she had been discovered.

“If he's... Then–" Shriker began, but then her words came to an end as she uttered a small wounded choking sound. The purpled tufted thill had had her left hand wrapped around her glass of water. Now her hand let go of it as if it were on fire. Although Kakosenas had done nothing to it herself, the water had solidified within the glass with a dry hiss.

“I didn't do that." Shriker stated plainly as she stared at the glass of ice. Refsto had done it of course. There was no mistaking it. It was a none-too subtle threat. “He doesn't want me here. I'm sorry Riot. I really can't stay. As much as I'd love to, I just can't." Kakosenas then got to her feet, her movements rather stiff. She was trying her best to remain calm, although right at that moment she felt like bolting and putting as much distance between herself and Refsto as she could.

  4. Radin whooped when Cayson took the third and final thill, grabbed her, and then tossed her into the pool along with her friends. He then watched the trio splashing around and sputtering, the two smaller females grasping onto their friend and hauling her towards the shallow end. The overweight one appeared to be in some sort of shocked state, though her gaze was rather livid as she watched the two ardens laughing at her expense on the poolside.

The green arden turned to give Case yet another high five, but apparently his friend wasnÂ’t finished yet. RadinÂ’s eyebrows rose slightly as Cayson made his way towards the emergency intercom, and then he laughed deeply when he realized what the other male was going to do. This laughter became even richer as Radin bent over double, CaysonÂ’s emergency page sounding throughout the entirety of the cruiserÂ’s intercoms. They were both probably going to get in trouble for it, but it was still hysterical, nonetheless.

Not more than two minutes after the emergency summons, two crewmembers appeared at the poolÂ’s gates, looking confused and even a bit annoyed. It was fairly apparent that they knew there was no emergency, and had only come as part of their duty. They gave Case and Radin some rather dirty looks as they appraised the scene, before rolling their eyes in tandem and grabbing a poolside buoy to assist the three girls in the pool.

“Oh, man. Oh, man, oh, man," Radin breathed as he watched the thills being fished from the pool. So far, neither of the crewmembers seemed to be in the mindset to reprimand the ardens, and in fact, as the shaded Dragyn watched them, he saw the slightest twitch on one of their lips. “I’m going to piss myself. Do you think, like, Riot… and your mom… and everyone heard that?"

    . . .

KakosenasÂ’s alarm was palpable, and it rose yet more when her glass of water suddenly turned into a solid chunk of ice. Her talons tore away from it as if the thing had suddenly become startlingly hot, and Riot was left gaping a little as the chimera commenced to truly panic. She gabbled something about not being wanted, and then rose rather hurriedly to her feet, obviously seconds away from splitting the scene.

“But, Kakos…" Riot said, also rising to her feet. Her white tipped ears laid back and she cast a glance behind her at Refsto, whose snakelike eyes were slightly averted as if he had had nothing to do with the frozen glass of water. “So, a bunch of people don’t want you here, or me, either. Don’t let them…" But she could see the strain and the dread in her friend’s face, and suddenly she realized that no amount of coaxing was going to get Kakosenas to stay.

“Go, then. I’ll pack your things in my bag and bring them to you once the cruise is over," Riot said, her voice taking on a defeated tone. “I’ll bring you a souvenir, too…" she added on in a helpless attempt at making light of the situation, and then she paused, giving Shriker the opportunity to slip away and leave the ship.

Even as she waited for her friend to leave and considered what a shame it was that Kakosenas was going to miss out on all the aquatic fun, a nearby loudspeaker crackled, and Riot distractedly looked up. “Attention. Could ship security please report to the on deck pool. It appears as if some sort of hulking fat-ass whale has managed to get on board. Please approach with extreme caution. The creature is rank, incredibly foul, and is so disgusting looking, you may find yourself having to hold onto your skin as it tries to crawl away. Ship security, please report to the on deck pool. Thank you. Over," came a familiar masculine voice, and the thill found herself blinking in total stupefaction.

  5. Cayson stood rather proudly beside the intercom system, not at all trying to hide the fact that he was the one who had made the ship-wide announcement. He felt the two crew member's eyes sweep over him for a moment as they assessed the situation. Cayson flashed them a broad smile then turned to Radin.

“Oh... probably," he said through a chuckle. He made a mental note to try and avoid Koani for the time being. She'd be likely to pierce him with a glare and give him a nice reprimand if she ever managed to get him alone. She did a rather good job at making the arden feel guilty from time to time. Cayson watched as the two crew members attended to the girls. Before long one of the men strode over to the two ardens. His walk was purposeful and had Cayson been the meek sort, he probably would have shrunk away intimidated.

“Your name, son?" he said as he addressed Cayson. The security guard's companion was watching, a bit of a foolish smile twitching at his lips.

“Cayson Lapices," Cayson supplied his name, the humorous glint never leaving his green-blue eyes.

“Well, Mr. Lapices, I'm going to have to ask you to please refrain from further using the intercom system. It's for emergency use and personnel only."

    “I'll try, sir."

“Likewise try not to get into any more trouble for the remainder of the cruise as well. Alright boys?"

“Will do," Cay said with a faint tip of his head. With that the guard turned away from him and rejoined his companion who by now was snickering faintly. “You should have been congratulating him," said the other guard through a quiet laugh as they began to walk away. “That thill could have drowned." The first guard only shook his head. It was apparent that he wanted to laugh but had too much restraint.

“I'm sorry," Shriker repeated again. There was no way she'd be staying on this vessel with Refsto on it. Kakosenas had formidable magic powers, but compared to Refsto? She was but a mewling, defenceless kitten. If he wanted her gone, it was best to simply comply with his wishes. Kakos cast a glance over at Refsto. Seated to his left was Isychos, Shriker's mother. The two of them weren't paying her any attention now, although there appeared to be a rather simpering smile on Refsto's face. They were quietly conversing now with some other political folk who had joined their table.

“Thanks, Riot," she said, her voice a little hushed. She hadn't even thought about retrieving her belongings until Riot had mentioned them. Material things were of utter unimportance when one's mortal life (though, hadn't she always claimed she was already dead?) was in peril. “Maybe we can get together... after the cruise or something. Right now I've just got to go. Some place far from here, preferably. Have fun with Case. It was nice seeing you." With that Shriker left Riot to her own devices. Although the loud speaker was blaring some message just then, it went unheard by the chimera as she made a smooth and hasty getaway.

  6. It took a moment for Radin to contain his laughter, and he turned to watch as the crewmembers successfully pulled all three thills from the pool. The largest one looked a bit stricken, while her smaller and equally unattractive friends simply looked annoyed. The thinnest of the trio even cast a dirty look in the malesÂ’ direction even as one of the guards gave Cayson and Radin a stern talking-to, and it was all he could do not to bust up again.

Finally, the pair of crewmembers wandered away from the pool, and Radin laughed a little as he shook his head. “Classic, Cay. That’ll be something to remember for a good, long while. Though I imagine your mom is going to slap you upside the head the first chance she gets," the arden said, his flamed tail flicking as he chuckled again and made faces at the three thills over Cayson’s shoulder.

    . . .

Kakosenas quickly darted away, though Riot was a little too distracted to watch after her. The announcement over the intercom had been surprising in its content, but also due to the speaker. CaseÂ’s voice had been unmistakable. But what on earth had he been blathering about? The banded female now had nothing better to do, and so she began to pad towards the pool, knowing he was there via the peculiar page.

As she walked along the deck, Riot lifted a hand and trailed it along the railing, enjoying the feel of the smooth, cool plastic. Groups drifted past her as she walked, mostly consisting of older pendragons whose interest here on the cruise tied in completely with the governmental aspect of the celebration. But there were still the gaggles of teenagers floating past, giggling in excitement as they headed towards the open bars or other various locations of entertainment. None were familiar, and so Riot was unbothered as she made her way towards the smell of the on-deck poolÂ’s chlorine.

Upon her arrival, Riot lifted a brow. She passed through the gate and paused, appraising the scene. Cayson and Radin were standing nearby, looking quite smug, actually, and at the other, deeper end of the pool, there was a group of three females. They looked upset, or possibly angry, and as she padded towards the two ardens, Riot could not help but notice that they were gabbling angrily and looking at CaseÂ’s back as if they wanted to shove knives into it.

“Cayson’ni, Radin… dare I ask what you two have been up to? Hm," the thill purled as she moved in close to Case, wrapping her arms loosely about his middle and resting her cheek against his shoulder. “Shriker just split because she saw someone that made her uncomfortable. Her dad, I think. Anyway, I hope you don’t mind if I join you two earlier than planned."

Offering an impish smile, she turned her mismatched eyes upon the trio of girls, still wondering what they had occurred between them and her boys. They were quite unattractive, so perhaps Case and Radin had given them a hard time for thatÂ… sheÂ’d heard the two could really be jerks, although of course sheÂ’d never experienced that side of them firsthand. In any case, as Riot watched the three of them shuffling about and talking angrily amongst themselves, their scantily clad and unsightly bodies caused Riot to feel quite cute in her simple white tank top and denim capris.

  7. Cayson held in a laugh as he answered Radin. “Most definitely. She's going to want to tie my tail in a knot. I wouldn't be surprised if she tries to stab my eyes out while she's at it too. Fronima forbid I mess up her cruise! If you see her anytime soon, lemme know so that I can make a run for it." His laughter withheld successfully to utter these words, Cayson soon after fell into a fit of giggles.

He was still laughing along with Radin when Riot appeared upon the scene. His giggles quieted down a notch as Riot wrapped herself around him and spoke. He'd been about to ask why she was here (not that he minded) but she supplied the answer before he even had the chance to ask the question. Shriker gone? Well that certainly was unexpected yet good news. Cayson found it hard to believe that she even had a father. He'd had to find that arden sometime and thank him. Discreetly of course.

“Oh, we've just been up to a little mischief," Cayson said through his smile. “Defending your honour and whatnot." Cayson's arms slipped around Riot as he took hold of her. He was still rather damp. “Too bad about the Shriker. Not that the two of us mind you joining us sooner than planned at all." Cayson drew Riot closer then took a small step to his right. “I know I definitely don't mind... I hope you haven't got anything that isn't waterproof in your pockets," he said endearingly as he started to tip. With Riot still held fast in his arms, Cayson toppled into the pool with her.

  8. “Hey, Ri," Radin said companionably when the thill abruptly arrived on the scene. He grinned at her and tried to tone down his laughter, but a fit of boyish giggles escaped him anyway as he wondered exactly how baffled she probably was. “Of course we don’t mind, duh. Yeah, too bad about Shriker, though," he echoed Cayson as sincerely as he could, though he still had a rather goofy grin on his face.

Riot smiled at the ardens’ expressions of regret, although she knew they were just being polite. She knew Kakosenas made Cayson uncomfortable, and that he wouldn’t mind not sharing her after all. She didn’t quite know what Radin thought of her chimera friend, but he was probably a little relieved to have his partition of the stateroom to himself. But Shriker was now void as a topic, and so she only smiled and shrugged at their words, before knitting her brow together and wondering what Case meant by “defending her honor."

“What do you mean, defending my –" she began to say, and she once more looked over at the band of ugly thills who were now sullenly leaving the pool area. Had they somehow insulted Riot without even knowing her? This caused feelings of anger to lick in her belly, but then the thill was distracted as Cayson pulled her tightly against his damp body and then, rather abruptly, stepped sideways and teetered purposefully into the aquamarine pool.

Luckily, she was able to suck in a breath before their combined weight pulled them under. She remained motionless in CaseÂ’s arm as they floated, momentarily suspended, about a foot beneath the surface, before she felt the orange arden kick upwards. They erupted with a tandem inhalation of air, and then began to bob a few feet away from the edge of the pool.

“Idiot," Riot said gruffly but playfully as she swept her white locks out of her eyes. She’d been growing her hair out a bit, and it had managed to drape itself right in her face. “You’re lucky I left my phone and things in the room, or else I’d have to beat your ass," she added on, before letting her beaded tongue slip out to give him a sound lick on the nose.

“Watch out belooow!" a masculine voice suddenly bellowed, and as a pair of mismatched eyes glanced up, Riot watched Radin sailing towards them. He splashed just a few inches away from the couple, once more effectively causing Riot’s hair to sweep wetly over her eyes. Even as the Dragyn’s wave subsided, she lifted a white hand once more to push her bangs away from her face.

“Idiot times two," she remarked in a falsely derisive tone.

“Hey, Ri… nice shirt," Radin said in response, grinning toothily. “I bet you Case didn’t consider it at all when he decided to drop you in the pool… oh, no… probably had no idea…"

The thill blinked and looked down at herself. Her thin, white shirt was soaked and clinging to her chest, and Riot instinctively threw her arms around CaysonÂ’s neck and pulled herself to him so that her front was hidden.

“Assholes," she rejoined, her voice a bit of an annoyed growl with an underlying playfulness and affection for Case’s ulterior masculine wiles.

  9. Now in the water with Riot, Cayson grinned rather sheepishly. His own hair had found it's way into his eyes, yet he made no motions as to remove it. Not yet. Radin's leap into the pool and subsequent wave that followed only messed up his hair even more. This time he did choose to clear the wet strands from his eyes. Cayson laughed as Riot called the two of them idiots, but it wasn't until Radin actually pointed out Riot's wet shirt that he actually noticed it. Pulling her into the pool had really only been a playful gesture on his part, he hadn't really been thinking about that at all. Perhaps had Riot been wearing any other colour other than white, it wouldn't have affected him so deeply. He couldn't help but notice the thill's lush curvature as her shirt plastered itself to her frame.

“Yeee-ah, no idea at all," Cayson drawled, trying to come off as being rather smug although there was a slight strain in his voice. Already he could feel a flame licking around in his belly. Riot only further fuelled that as she wrapped her arms around his neck and drew her wetly clothed body closer to him. Cayson held onto her in return, using ever bit of self-restraint in his body. He laughed as she called them both assholes, then quite easily lifted the thill up into his arms.

“It was all in good fun, you know," he said as he rubbed his nose against hers. With Riot cradled quite comfortably in his arms, Cayson waded over to the shallower end of the pool and then carried her up the wide steps that led up onto the deck. Dripping and pooling water, he carried her over to where his belongings were before he set her down. He pulled two towels from one of the on deck carts. One of them he wrapped around Riot's upper body. Successfully blocking her wet shirt from his view. That was one problem somewhat solved. “You can wear my shirt, okay?" he said, as he retrieved the colourful article of clothing from the ground. Cayson passed this off to Riot as well, kissing her softly as the shirt exchanged from his hand to hers.

“I just need to ah, excuse myself for a moment. I'll be right back though." Cay said as he patted Riot on the shoulder and drew his own towel around himself. Although Cayson had willed himself not to have an erection, his penis was in pandemonium because of it. The woes of a horny teenager. Had they possibly been alone, Cayson might have asked Riot to help him out with this little problem. For one reason or another, asking her now seemed a little inappropriate. It was the first day of the cruise after all. They had only just gotten here. So he'd just take care of business himself – and quickly at that.

“Love you, Ri'ni," Cay said, before leaving the scene expeditiously.

  10. Riot clung to Cayson, her chest pressed against his own, momentarily unaware of the affect she was having on him. She grinned lightly at his smug drawling, but remained silent as he then hoisted her into a firmer hold and began to move towards the shallow end of the pool with the intent to exit. When the two of them hit air, Riot felt her clothes sag heavily against her frame; she was quite waterlogged. But she didnÂ’t mind too much, and she still refrained from speaking until Case carried her over towards and then deposited her on a chaise lounge near where heÂ’d earlier placed his belongings.

“Thank’ee, Case’sla," Riot purled when the arden wrapped her upper body in a towel, and then offered her his shirt as well. She growled affectionately when he placed a soft, chaste kiss on her mouth, but then her brows knitted together in mild puzzlement as Cayson spoke of needing to excuse himself.

As the male began to shuffle away, Riot softly returned his “love you" with one of her own, and then sank back against the lounge chair, perplexed for a moment. Realization then struck her rather abruptly, and suddenly the thill felt torn between amusement and guilt. Her being wet while wearing a white shirt had obviously had an affect on Cayson, and it was now apparent to her that he had excused himself to relieve some pent up sexual energy. She momentarily wondered why he hadn’t asked her to come along and aid him, and decided he had just been prudent in Radin’s company.

The green Dragyn, who had also been mildly baffled by CaseÂ’s quick exit from the pool and then the swimming area, had also figured out his friendÂ’s problem. Shaking his head with a light laugh, he waded to the poolside and hoisted himself out. He then wandered over towards where Riot was sitting on one of the chaises, and watched offhandedly as the thill sat up straight for a moment and tugged CaysonÂ’s large and brightly colored shirt over herself. With one final adjustment, she got it over her head, and flipped her wet locks from beneath the collar. When she then sat back once again, Radin felt her regarding him and the smug, amused look on his face.

“What?" she asked, pausing momentarily before reaching up a hand to pull her fingers through her damp, tangled hair.

“Did Case say where he was going?"

“He went to the bathroom for a sec," Riot replied, her voice a little guarded. She was still having rather mixed feelings over the situation. She knew Cayson was going through a lot with their whole abstinence vow, and that perhaps he was being driven a little crazy by it. This was yet another reason why the thill knew they would be consummating their relationship sooner rather than later. After all, it was only too obvious that they were in love and that the time had come for them to show that. Why prolong Cayson’s “torture"? There was no reason to hesitate, to wait, any longer.

“That’s what he gets for pulling you into the pool while you’re wearing a white shirt," Radin answered back, laughing as he flopped into a chair next to the caramel female. “I already had the obligatory sex talk with him. Now it’s your turn. I gave you those birth control pills weeks ago. What are you waiting for?"

For a moment, Riot was silent. Indeed, as Cayson and she had grown closer and their bond yet tighter, the thill had privately sought out Radin – who was studying in several pre and postnatal courses at Janardan – to ask if he could help provide her with some birth control pills. Without question, he had provided some for her, and had even told her how to take it and in what dosage. She had yet to start taking the small pills yet, though, but now she knew it was time to discuss doing so with Cayson. Once she started, it would take about a week before it was safe for them to have sex… and if she began to take them today, that would give them the perfect opportunity to have their first time on their half-year anniversary if her math was correct.

“Ah, I don’t know. I just wanted to make sure he was the one. I have no doubts now, though… ha. I’ve talked to Kakos about this, and now you. I just have to talk things over with him. Poor guy," Riot finally said, lifting a hand and shielding her eyes as she peered in the direction Cayson had gone. Though she badly wanted to seek him out and help him out, the thill remained still in her seat, waiting for him to return so they could finally talk about taking the next step.

“I love him so much," she said rather spontaneously as she kept an eye out for his return, and she briefly flicked her mismatched gaze onto Radin. “Time to give him a break from all this chastity business, eh?"

“Ha, yeah," Radin replied, idly tugging on his swim shorts and leaning back as Riot already had. The sun felt good on his verdant pelt, and it glittered off the surface of his shades. “You two are so goofily cute. You should be proud that you waited, though. It’s pretty impressive, and as Case himself said, it’s helped to build character. And don’t worry, he hasn’t suffered any permanent damage that won’t easily be repaired by some good Riot lovin’s," the arden finished up, laughing as he too waited for the blue and orange Cayson to return from his masturbatory voyage.

  11. Before too long Cayson slipped back into public view. He'd found a small private wash room not too far from where there were some change rooms for the pool area. Cayson then had rather shamelessly taken care of the jittery feeling in the pit of his stomach via a rather quick masturbation session. Once finished, Cayson had washed his hands, unlocked the door and found himself on deck once more. He had every intention to return swiftly to Riot's side. However, a few words he overheard being exchanged by a group of crew members caused Cayson to slow in his step. They were talking rather animatedly and Cayson couldn't help but pick up upon their excited tones. Apparently the ship was set to sail just under five minutes. Case started at this information and kicked himself back into gear. Was it really that time already?

Upon returning to Riot and Radin, Cayson smiled, albeit a little sheepishly. He could tell that the two of them were wise to the reason for his abrupt absence. Not that Cayson was feeling all that embarrassed about it. In his opinion, he was just doing what simply had to be done. So that his brain wouldn't explode and leak out from his ears. Cayson offered his hand to Riot in order to pull her up off of the chaise. “You look pretty fine in my shirt," he said with a grin.

“The ship's setting sail soon though, and I know that you wanted to-" Cayson's words were cut short as the ocean liner's foghorn sounded and then the captain's voice came over the loud speaker. The arden shrugged his shoulders. It was rather impossible to talk over the booming, amiable voice as the captain introduced herself, informed everyone that they were setting sail, and that he hoped that they all would have a good time.

  12. Riot shook her head lightly and laughed at Radin’s words, but she was soon distracted as she spotted Cayson’s familiar form materialize and make his way back over to the pool area. The thill smiled rather fondly at the arden, although there was also a mildly apologetic look in her mismatched gaze. It hadn’t been her fault at all that Case had been aroused by her see-through shirt, but she still felt bad about it, and about the whole “waiting game." It was a good thing that it was nearly over for both of them.

“I look good in everything of yours," Riot replied teasingly, taking the offered hand and hoisting herself up. Quite naturally, she molded against Case and wrapped an arm around his back.

Just then, the arden made to add on something more, but a page from the captain of the ship blared over the loudspeaker. White ears twitched as Riot listened, and she marveled at how quickly the afternoon had passed. The evening was crawling up swiftly, and right on time the anchors were being lifted so that the cruiser could set sail. As the announcement was made and then its echoes began to fade away in the temperate Dyo air, Riot felt stirrings of excitement flare up in her belly. There was so much to be enthused about, even with Kakosenas having had left so abruptly.

“C’mon, you two, I wanna stand by the railing as we set sail," Radin’s voice came, and Riot turned to see the green Dragyn lifting himself off his chaise. He gathered up his shirt, though he did not put it on as he sauntered over towards Cayson and Riot, bumped against them, and began to lead the way out of the pool area and towards an open stretch of deck railing.

The couple gave Radin a bit of a lead, and then they began to walk. Riot leaned against Case’s shoulder as they padded in tandem towards the railing, and her hand slipped down to grasp his. Since she was about to finally give him the green light after so much waiting – even if they really did have to wait just a little while longer – she was feeling affectionate and close to the arden. Hence her white fingers intertwined quite tightly with his, and the thill found a purr rising in her throat as she put her muzzle against his ear.

“I think it’s about time to do what we’ve been wanting to do for a while now," she said quietly as they reached the railing. Riot’s free hand came up to grasp the thick piping, and she glanced out over the water and the floating docks. Everything was cast in a mellow orange hue as the sun prepared to set, and for a moment she paused in her dialogue to take a breath and drink in the lovely scenery.

“And by ‘what we’ve been wanting to do for a while now,’ I mean sleeping together. And just to be clear, I’m talking about sex. I just want to get settled into a birth control regimen first, to be safe, ‘cause my quarterlies are still a little irregular… but I’m ready, and I know you are too. I love you," Riot said quietly, squeezing Cayson’s hand and giving him an affectionate lick on the cheek.

“Hey, look," Radin suddenly said, and he pointed. Though they hadn’t felt it, the engines had turned on, and now the colossal cruiser was leaving its bay. The water slipped and churned around it as it made its way towards the open ocean.

“Cool," the banded female said, before turning her attention back to her aficionado. “Anyway, how’s that sound? It’ll only take a few d–"

But just at that moment, Case mouthed a silent “I love you too" and arrested Riot with a rather sweet and intense kiss, before embracing her in a tight hug even as the ship chugged free from the docks, its hull pointing straight into the great blue yonder.
