Tian did nothing and could nothing. There was nothing she could do, she was on the ground against a wall staring down the barrel of a pistol. "Please....maybe i could help...whatever i get out of the fat man i can split...please...im losing my money..i need money..." tears began to well in her eyes "My love and I may lose our house. We may be put onto the street" The tears streamed down her cheeks and she whimpered. Shots rang out and Tian whinced. "Are you going to kill me for trying to put food on my table? What do I have to do?" she slowly stood. "Sex...is that what you want..." she looked away.
OOC: you seem to have maintained a sense of sanity amidst this thread BIC: Sabata didn't turn at the sound of the gunshots or the sirens, he remained looking at his hostage with his gun still pointing at her. When he heard the comment that the thill made, he scowled. "I would sooner lust after blood than the sex a prostitute had to offer." He ran his tongue over his teeth before spitting on the ground beside him. The thought of being in bed with a prostitute disgusted him. Back in the resturant, Timaro felt the edge of the knife dig deeper into her neck. She heard another dragon stand up nearby and draw a gun. “What in the hell is going on?" heard Timaro from the same character. Timaro also heard sirens in the distance. "Don't kill me before I get a chance to tell my friend what is going on," Timaro quickly blurted out. She felt the tension of the blade against her neck loosen slightly. Even though Timaro hadn't a clue who the dragon was who had stood up, she was using any opportunity she had to stay alive, hopefully long enough until the police arrived. "You see," continued Timaro, "an infamous drug lord is residing in Watani. Many bounty hunters are after the drug lord because he has a large bounty on his head." The sound of troubled murmering could be heard throughout the resturant as well as the wail of sirens which were growing louder by the second. However, Timaro was only focused on the knife which was being held by her captor. "Any other final requests?" heard Timaro from the dragon behind her. Just as he had spoken, the knife he was holding became incredibly hot. The blade itself turned a dull shade of red as it was heated to extreme temperatures as a result of Timaro's pyrokinesis. The handle errupted into flames. The dragon holding it cursed as he threw it to the floor. Timaro rolled out of his grasp and quickly pulled out a throwing knife from her backpocket which she didn't hesitate to throw towards the chest of the dragon who had previously been holding her captive. The knife found its way into the dragon's lower chest. Timaro rushed past the wounded dragon, grabbed her handgun from the table, and fired a shot into the head of the bleeding arden. Outside, Kama was distracted by the dragon who had fired upon him and then run. When Kama had turned his head to look at the dragon who was now running, the fat dragon rolled away from the gun Kama was holding and withdrew a gun of his own. Kama was startled to see the tables turned so abruptly. However, before he had time to do anything else, the fat dragon fired a shot at him and ran. Kama dropped the gun from his left hand. He grabbed his right arm and gritted his teeth in the seering pain which ran along his arm. The sirens at this point in time had grown very loud. Kama looked towards the fat dragon who was running suprisingly fast into the streets of the city. "Police, hands on your head!" Kama heard a police agent armed with a handgun shout at him from the opposite side of the resturant. As Kama turned to look at the officer, he moved his hands to the back of the head. He saw another officer close behind the officer who had just spoken. A bright light was shined into his eyes from the second officer. Sabata had turned as he heard the gunshot from only a couple of meters away. He had seen the fat dragon shoot Kama and take off running. Before Sabata had gotten a chance to aim his gun at the fat dragon, the fat dragon was gone. Sabata quickly turned back to look at the seductress. He was still suspicious she would attempt to kill him, or something of the sort.... Sabata heard the police shouted at Kama. He was unsure of what to do at this point. To be aiming a gun at someone and to be seen by a police officer at the same time wasn't a very good thing. However, as soon as Sabata put away his gun, the thill he was facing could suddenly draw a gun of her own. Sabata decided to take his chances with the seductress. Even if she did pull a gun, he was quick enough, he would still have a chance to fight back. Sabata put his gun away. Timaro watched out the windows of the resturant. The police had arrived. She was standing behind a dead dragon with a gun in her hands. When she was eventually seen by the law enforcment officials, who knew what would happen. What a mess...
Just seconds after Riot’s demand for an explanation, the captive female spoke up, declaring to her captor that she wanted to tell her “friend" about the situation. Riot’s eyes narrowed a bit, but she understood the ploy. Flicking her ears, she shifted a bit, getting a tighter grip on her pistol, as she nodded at the captive thill. She was listening. A drug lord? Bounty hunters? The thill raised her eyebrows at the rationalization, but she didn’t have much time to comment. The pendragon with the knife suddenly flung his blade away from himself, its fiery handle flashing as it clattered to the floor. Blinking at this odd development, Riot then steadied her gun as she watched the captive female roll out of his grip, stab him in the chest, and then eventually shoot him – point blank – in the temple. Stormwing was nearly dumbfounded by this rapid sequence of events. She raised her gun a bit, and stared at the female whose quick moves had put an end to her captor’s life. She didn’t know what to think of this, or whose story to trust. There seemed to be a lot of pendragons involved in this – considering the commotion from outside as well – and so Riot didn’t think she’d ever really understand the depth of the matter. She didn’t have much time to dwell, anyway. A few moments after the arden with the knife had been gunned down, police streamed into The Watering Hole, guns at the ready. Riot, who was known by plenty of law enforcement officials, hurriedly retrieved something from her wallet – a master sharpshooter’s license. She was quick to explain to the pair of officers that apprehended her and her gun that she had done nothing but keep her guard and gun up. They were, of course, mistrustful, and they held onto her gun. They didn’t cuff her or anything, though, but asked for a report. Riot gave a small laugh and a shrug, citing for their records that she had no idea what in the hell had gone down.
Tian watched the man as he put his gun and police sirens rang out...should she run? should she fight? Maybe both. Suddenly she kicked out at him and (after connecting, or missing) she turned and began to run, as fast as she can. The outfit make look like it was hard to run in, but before everyjob she makes sure she can have a good range of movement in her outfit. And boy could she run. But the heals where slowling her down. Luckly, she built these boots herself, she hit the heal on a certain angle and it came off cleanly and the rest of the boot evened out. Thank god for technology. ooc: sorry best i could come up with with only 2 hours of sleep.
Kama couldn't stand to keep his shot armed raised behind his head. The pain was too much. However, Kama wouldn't risk the police getting jumpy and loading another piece of lead into his body. As the police neared him, one of them made a radio call for an ambulance. "We have an injured dragon down in area...." Sabata stumbled back from the kick. It didn't dewind him, but gave him an unpleasant feeling in his gut. He watched as the thill ran away from the alley, running by Kama. When she had run into the police's sights, Sabata heard. "You there, Hold it!" No doubt, the police had caught sight of the thill who had run from Sabata. Sabata crossed his arms and shook his head. He leaned up against one of the walls of the alley way. The police officer finished his call and put his communication device away. His partner had shouted at a thill who was running out from a nearby alley way. "You there, Hold it!" Both police agents couldn't yet see into the entire alley way. They were 2 meters from Kama who was standing right outside of the alley. A trail of blood ran down the left side of Kama, staining his shirt. Back in the resturant, as soon as Timaro was spotted by an officer, she immediately received a shout. "Drop your weapon now!" Timaro opened her hand and the pistol fell to the floor in front of her. An officer holding a gun approached her. "You are being charged with murder. Everything you say, can and will be used against you. You have the right to remain silent." Another officer walked behind Timaro and forced her hands behind her back before cuffing them. There were a total of six police officers at the scene. Two were outside near the alley way with Kama, Sabata, and Tian. The remaining four were in the resturant. Two of them were arresting Timaro and the other two were interrogating Riot. The bounty hunter who had earlier fired shots had escaped into the city without being caught by any police. The two police who had arrested Timaro now escorted her out to their vehicle where she was placed in the back seat of the car. Timaro watched the car door slam shut. One of the police agents went back to the resturant. The other stayed by the car. Timaro wasn't an enemy of the law, she had no plans of escape. However, she had never before been under arrest. Few missions included taking a bounty while he was in a public scenario. Even more seldom were missions where Timaro actually had to kill. However, the bounty hunter back in the resturant left Timaro no choice. It was either him or her who was to die. Either way, Timaro felt safe in a locked police vehicle. At least no bounty hunters could come and kill her. At least she hoped so...
Despite insisting that she had no idea what had happened, the two officers – an older arden as well as a thill that couldn’t have been much older than Riot herself – escorted the banded female to a booth near the restaurant’s front windows. Riot slid into one side, and the officers sat across from her. The thill took out a notepad and began to scrawl done the notes she’d gotten so far, while her male counterpart questioned Stormwing on everything she had seen and heard. Though she had showed them her sharpshooter’s license, as well as the license that allowed her to carry concealed weapons, the officers held onto her gun. As they asked her questions, and she replied absently but to the best of her ability, Riot’s eyes kept straying towards her pistol. The arden was gripping it against the table, his fingers leaving prints on the barrel. The caramel female despised this – her guns were precious possessions – but she did not comment. Just kept looking at her piece with woeful wariness, fielding all the officers’ questions until the interview was over and she was free to go. “May I have my gun back?" Riot said, standing and holding a hand out. It had not been discharged (a cursory brushing of Riot’s hands as well as the pistol itself with a chemical substance showed no residue or other chemical signatures of having fired), nor had it been involved in any crimes, and so there was no reason for the magistrates to keep it for evidentiary or other purposes. She knew this, and they could see that she did, and so with a sigh, the arden handed back her pistol. “Thanks," she murmured, pocketing the gun and turning to gaze out the window. It appeared that the extremely long chain of events was being cleaned up outside, and Riot idly wondered what had happened to Sabata. Frankly, though, she didn’t think about him too much. In fact, she didn’t particularly want to see him – now or ever again. The sight of him was tied in to too many conspiratorial events, and a mistrust was breeding within her. Yes, she hoped he was all right, but beyond that, cared very little. She just wanted to leave The Watering Hole. Go home, and quite possibly never return. Too much shit went down every time she came to this place. With one last wave to the officers who had apprehended and interviewed her – they were now taking records from the restaurant’s other patrons – Riot stepped outside the building’s doors. A police cruiser rumbled past, and mismatched eyes briefly met with the thill in the back seat. Riot pursed her lips, but did not let her mind ponder too much over who the girl had been, or what her exact part had been in tonight’s odd events. Instead, as soon as the vehicle had passed, the banded Stormwing plunged her hands in her pockets and quickly made her way up the street and towards her mansion, where she could wind down and hopefully forget the odd events of this evening.
OOC: Sinok said that he was done posting, so I was going to add an epilogue for my characters since I left them in such a precarious situation BIC: Kama waited with the police officers. The ambulance showed up soon enough. "Don't worry sir, everything will be alright," spoke a doctor assuringly as he ushered Kama towards the ambulance. "I hope you are right..." replied Kama, wondering if Timaro had escaped any trouble..... In the days to come, Timaro would be tried in court. Thanks to some eyewitnesses and one very clever laywer, it would become accepted that Timaro had merely used excessive self-defense methods against the dragon who had held the knife up to her. In the weeks to come, Kama would make a full recovery. Only a scar would remain on his arm. Sabata, who would make a narrow escape through the resturant, would manage to avoid arrest and police confrontation altogether. In addition, the body of the wanted drug lord would be found in a river not far away from Watani. Coroners who would exam it would determine that the drug lord had been killed the night he thought he escaped from Watani. Apparently, another bounty hunter would pick him off after Kama failed to do so. The neck of the drug lord would be slit. Officials would be curious as to why whoever killed the drug lord didn't turn in his body for the large reward. The drug lord would still have the map on him which led to where he stored his wealth. No one will ever know who killed the drug lord and why. Some bounty hunters kill for money. Others kill for pleasure. Some even kill for revenge. Ultimately, however, no one will know exactly what goes on inside of the mind of a bounty hunter.
