Z gave a slight nod, and - oho, what was this? - a bit of a smile at her reaction. True, raw electrical energy was, by far, one of the hardest forces to gain any control on. Fortunately for Z, that was one of the things they really enforced in his training. "You over-react a little bit, Jaceen. I can ensure you that I have this under complete control. It's only about two-hundred million, a slight amount for a bolt of lightening," He gave a nod, opening his opposite hand up as he did. And, just as this happened, the electricity turned into a stream, spinning up one of his arms and across his back, then around the other arm and into the palm, where it was formed into another ball of electricity. He then tossed it into the air, making a quick archway of light, before coming back to rest in his right hand. "... Electricity is, quite possibly, the most abundant thing on this planet. It surges through our bodies and minds, quite literally, and gives our brains the power to 'think' and store information. And yet, there isn't a single element that exists that compares to the raw power that Electricity can reach." He looked up toward the sky, watching the horizon for a moment, before pulling the hand that held the electricity back. And, with what one might consider a 'mighty' heave, he tossed the ball to the sky once more. This time, however, the ball wouldn't return to the clouds. When it was far enough away, it instead exploded. It was like a magnificent set of fireworks, sending dazzling lights and colors into the night sky, and dancing in the wind. "... Electricity happens to also be the one form of energy that seems to be the easiest to manipulate. Well, assuming one can figure out how to properly do so." Z held one hand out, causing the ground to rumble and for a spike of earth to shoot up beside his foot. "Sure, I can forge the ground into images, or twist fire to my will, or even force the wind to blow in a certain direction, but each of these separate entities has aspects of each other within themselves. Electricity, however, is pure." He looked toward her once more as the final lights of the electric display danced in to darkness, and he folded an arm over his chest. The other came to rest upon it, with his hand on his chin. "... I believe that Electricity is an extension of Fronima itself. A raw, physical form of Fronima incarnated. It acts much as Earthquakes and Volcano eruptions do for our planet; it relieves the pressure of Fronima. And I believe that if one were to gather enough electricity, and bring it to the area where Lightening strikes most, we could create a door way to Fronima itself. I believe it is there that the binds between the worlds is the weakest." After this intense rambling, Z paused for a moment, and then laughed softly to himself. "... Then again, it' just a theory. I haven't been able to research where Lightning might strike the most, and, as thus, I have not been able to test my theories. So, really, it's probably all just something foolish in my head."
Jaceen certainly didn't believe that she was overreacting. It wasn't really as though she were afraid of lightning. In fact, she found it much too interesting to be afraid. She had respect. That's all it really was. She'd always had a deep respect for Fronima and the elements that it allowed her to manipulate and control. Too many nioti and niotie these days had little to no respect for the magical arts. Using it only as a weapon or a way to show off as they leapt into the practice haphazardly. Even some of Jaceen's students simply didn't appear to have what she believed to be the “proper" mentality in order to handle magic. Jaceen watched in appreciative silence as Z continued to manipulate the lightning. He appeared to be playing with it almost. Once finished with his tricks, the transformed arden then launched the lightning skywards. It trailed off into the sky then exploded like a bomb which made Jaceen's ears plaster themselves flat against her head. The lights themselves were pretty, yet the loud noise didn't exactly make Jaceen a fan. Jaceen was however quite intrigued by Z's words. Although his theory wasn't nearly as polished as some of those that she had come across and had read (nor was it nearly as ridiculous as others), it did hold a certain grain of speculative truth that caught and held Jaceen's attention. “It seems plausible," Jaceen said after a moment. Z had just caused a spike to erupt from the ground and was now looking rather contemplative. Obviously he had thought his ideas over very thoroughly. “There are theorists who believe that Fronima really is the planet. That it isn't a separate entity. That it and us are actually one. Still others that think it's simply a resource that recycles itself. Home to the souls of the dead... mm. You know, if there was a way to create or find a door, some sort of portal, I don't think I'd want to enter. Even if it were theoretically possible. I've heard and read so many things about Fronima. You'd think that us, having practised magic for thousands of years, would at least have a better understanding. It's just so finicky... sometimes even the simplest of spells can backfire... Then there are other still who believe that Fronima is like any other resource – that it has a limit. That by using it, by creating machina and using magic, we're slowly killing everything around us. That Fronima, day by day, is growing thinner and thinner... and that eventually there will be none of it left at all."
Z gave a nod as she spoke, folding his arms over his chest once more. A hand turned up, resting calmly under his chin as he took in what she was saying. He agreed with most of what she was saying, and noted this with a nod ever now and again. When she was finished, he brought his arms back down, stretching his clawed fingers once more. "Hn... I've read similar theories on Fronima, but I haven't had much of a chance to do much research, or compare the theories." Z then smiled, dusting his hands off for a moment, before stretching them outward in front of him. "Anyway, let me show you one more series of tricks." He opened one hand up, palm facing the sky, and fingers bent slightly. He then let the air above it rush around, until it created a small sphere above his hand, continually rotating, like a circular tornado. "Air is, in my opinion, one of the easier elements to control. It's easy to create and manipulate. Water, on the other hand..." The orb of air disappeared, and his hand seemed to tense a little bit. Water began to form in his hand, condensing from the moisture in the very air, until enough collected to make yet another sphere. He floated it above his palm, spinning it around slowly, before relaxing and letting it fall to the ground with a slight 'bloop!'. "Water's fun, too. But this next one.... Well, it's tricky as hell." Zeroken brought his left hand over to grab the wrist of his right, while his eyes seemed to narrow slightly. He was shifting into a more extreme level of concentration. The rain began to drop a bit closer, showing that he wasn't the greatest at multi-tasking complicated tasks. His hand seemed to tense and, like flashes of light, small bolts of static electricity seemed to zap across his hand. And, within seconds, a small orb of electricity formed above his palm, then rapidly grew, until it was just about the same size as the one he had thrown not too long ago. ".. Heh... now... That's a real buggar of a challenge. Grabbing static charges and concentrating them on one spot." He gave a nod, a smile creeping across his face once more. His face then shifted into a state of shock, or perhaps pain, and one hand came up to clutch at his chest. The drawn electricity simply dissipated, returning to the air around them once more. "Guk!" Jeez, maybe he strained a muscle on that last one?
